  1. “The one showing favour to the lowly is lending to Jehovah” (Prov. 19:17, 18) Seeing our God Jehovah considered these, he expects that we do the same. The person in the picture is a bush dweller carrying all his possessions. About 15 years ago when he passed our home, our gardener called him in and we paid him for allowing us take the photograph. The gardener said he is mentally disabled and harmless. We also noticed that he never begs and walks around all day looking for scraps in dustbins. We’ve seen strangers giving him things to eat and money and we did the same. Seeing that such ones cannot read nor understand the Bible, Jehovah in his mercy settled our concern for their future: “He raises the lowly one from the dust; He lifts up the poor from the ash heap, To make them sit with princes, Giving them a seat of honor. To Jehovah belong earth’s supports, And he places the productive land upon them.” (1Samuel 2:8; Psalm 113:7)
  2. The area in East London, South Africa where I’m resident is among the 10 highest rated Metro Cities. All of these have a great number of people, (Black and White) living below the bread line. Jesus said that we will always have the poor among us. (Matt. 26:11) He knows because he has been observing mankind since the beginning. Jehovah made laws for the benefit of the poor. (Exodus alone: 22:25; 23:3, 11; 30:15) Although most world governments are trying to assist these, their kindness can never compare to JehovahÂ’s mercy. Population growth being just one of their problems. JehovahÂ’s people have always been sympathetic toward the poor. Although the priority of JesusÂ’ disciples was to spread the Good News of GodÂ’s Kingdom world-wide, (Matt. 24:14; Luke 4:43) they set aside seven disciples to distribute food among the poor. (Acts 6:1-6) JehovahÂ’s people recently built prefabricated halls in some of the poor areas where elders are preaching that GodÂ’s Kingdom will soon put an end to their hardships. Â (Psalm 72:16; Revelation 21:3,4) The photo was taken at one of the many outlying districts of the Eastern Cape were there are few amenities.
  3. While still looking for the most obedient dog, this one popped up. It also knows numbers, and will only act when it's mentioned. Â
  4. A few decades ago I also used Open Office, so it's safe. Tested (Norton Safe site) This upload can now be seen by all: Animal pictures.docx
  5. I'll download Open Office, then later post the same picture for the benefit of others who cannot view it.
  6. "Welcome with your wife" That must wait until the new system when she comes back, then we can visit you in person and enjoy a glass of Wine on the Rhein.
  7. The last photo of Hachik?, the dog who waited for his master's return each day for 9 years until he too passed away.
  8. No wonder dogs are called man's best friend. The only animal having observable emotions. A Japanese dog stopped eating when it's master died, and laid on it's owner's grave until it too died. Vicious dogs are trained that way. One of my dogs, Sammy, a Jack Russel, was so small I carried him in my jacket pocket for weeks. About a year later, he began howling when he recognised my motor cycle approaching. He went with me everywhere when out in the motor car. Seems dogs weren't fully domesticated during Bible years, they gradually began loving mankind as time went by. Eccl. 9:4
  9. The section "ENJOY YOUR DOG'S" brought to mind a joke: A women in a poor country received a parrot as a present from her son, who also sent a letter to her saying, "Hope you enjoyed having a parrot." She replied, "Thank you my son, it was delicious."
  10. I fully agree in the hope that animals will live longer, but Jehovah knows better. The longer we live with animals, the more we will mourn when they die. (Rev. 21:3,4)Â I too would love to have my first dog back, but what about he others. The photo of my dog Sputty is unusual, It was a black and white photo coloured with oil paints.
  11. Our first dog was named Sputty, a fox terrier, because he was born at the time the Russians sent Laika to die in an orbit. He was put down in 1975 also at the age of 18 after he stopped eating. I cried while thanking Jehovah for lending him to us. Â
  12. Some biblical names, words and places can be difficult to pronounce.

The attachment is list of these with their phonetic pronunciation.

  14. Yes, the short distance from one side of the earth to the other makes little difference to all phases and changes of the moon. I have also taken photos of these. The one in the attachment was taken many yeas ago.
  15. Hi sister, long time no see. A good movie attachment. I'll be watching yours. Blue moon video.mp4
  16. I will tell you another story. Eight years ago when my wife became weaker, I began renovating our house at the age of 80. One day I climbed a 4 meter ladder while holding a section of hardboard, to pass to the painter on the roof. As I climbed down my foot slipped and I fell to the ground unconscious. I was taken to hospital where I came to four hours later. My brain was scanned and Xrayed in many layers, and I was released three weeks later, and had to learn to walk again. A month in a wheel chair, a month using an aluminum walker, and weeks walking and falling. I still sway as if I'm drunk. Worse, the short term memory of my brain has been permanently damaged. When someone tells me their name, it's forgotten a few seconds later. Very embarrassing. But Jehovah was very kind by preserving my long term memory. I still remember everything in detail since I was about five years old. You have probably noticed this by the contributions made here. My Bible knowledge remains excellent.
  17. Gee sister, you are wonderful. I never thought of looking it up. Thank you for the link.
  18. Many decades ago there was a movie called "Bring them back alive" Frank Buck was the hunter who trapped scores of animals and dragged them home in cages of wood. Some may have imagined that this was the way Noah and his sons did it - not so. It would have taken centuries for Noah to do it in the same way as Frank Buck. One of our publications mentioned that the animals came to Noah. (Gen. 7:9)
  19. Below is a picture captured from JW.ORG some time ago depicting what Noah's ark would likely have looked like. Â
  20. Here's proof from 'A scientist', who could also be a JW. How can anyone believe that fossils are millions of years old? There's a point during the decay of anything from bottles to bones where the break down is faster. Jehovah said that Adam would return to dust - not a fossil. Dinosaurs.docx
  21. True, the ark wasn't made to plow through the water like a ship. It was a floating menagerie. You will soon get the hang of this website. many of us make mistakes similar to yours, but we are here to help others.
  22. Hi QE, the attached document was downloaded from JW.ORG about 15 years ago Ark of Covenant.docx
