  1. Switzerland... Jehovah's Witnesses are increasing their visits to the homes of thousands of migrants from all languages, notably Albania and Portugal. Therefore, they are accused of using those people who, when they feel lonely, are more easily seized by sects. In fact, the number of witnesses in Switzerland is rising thanks to migrants after years of indifference to the Swiss people. ? .•*¨`*•..¸???¸.•*¨`*•. ?

  3. When you stand praying, forgive whatever you have against anyone, so that your Father who is in the heavens may also forgive you your trespasses.—Mark 11:25. Our efforts to serve God—through prayers, meeting attendance, field service, and other aspects of our worship—are in vain if we refuse to make peace with others. We cannot be friends of God unless we are willing to forgive the shortcomings of others. (Luke 11:4; Eph. 4:32) Every Christian needs to think carefully and honestly about being forgiving and having peaceful relations with others. Do you forgive fellow believers freely? Are you happy to fellowship with them? Jehovah expects his servants to be forgiving. If your conscience tells you that you have improvements to make in this regard, prayerfully seek JehovahÂ’s help in order to make them! Our heavenly Father will hear such humble prayers and answer them.—1 John 5:14, 15. w16.05 1:6, 7 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2018/7/3
  4. They will become one flock, one shepherd.—John 10:16. Jesus compared himself to a shepherd, and his followers to a flock of sheep. Consider: If two sheep are on a hill, two other sheep are in a valley, and still another sheep is grazing elsewhere, would we describe those five sheep as a flock? Generally, a flock of sheep stays together under the care of its shepherd. Similarly, we cannot follow our Shepherd if we deliberately isolate ourselves. We need to meet together with other Christians to be part of “one flock” under “one shepherd.” When we attend a meeting, we contribute to the unity of our brotherhood. (Ps. 133:1) Some of our fellow worshippers have been rejected by their parents and siblings. Yet, Jesus promised that he would give them a spiritual family to love them and care for them. (Mark 10:29, 30) When you attend meetings regularly, you may very well prove to be a father, mother, brother, or sister to one of these dear ones! Does that not motivate us to do our utmost to be at all the meetings? w16.04 3:9, 10 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2018/7/2

  8. Do to me as you have promised.—Judg. 11:36. JephthahÂ’s daughter sacrificed her natural desires for a husband and children in order to promote true worship. How might we imitate her self-sacrificing attitude? Thousands of young Christian men and women are willingly sacrificing marriage or are not having children—at least for now—in order to serve Jehovah to the full. Older ones too may be sacrificing the time they could otherwise spend with their children and grandchildren in order to work on theocratic construction projects or to attend the School for Kingdom Evangelizers and to serve in areas where the need for Kingdom publishers is greater. Others set aside personal matters to share in service campaigns. Such wholehearted service brings deep joy to Jehovah, who will never forget their work and the love shown for him. (Heb. 6:10-12) Would it be possible for you to make additional sacrifices to serve Jehovah more fully? w16.04 1:16, 17 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2018/7/1
  9. A World Without Pain The sun is setting and you are giddy with excitement. Your front yard has been illuminated with tiki torches and a bonfire has been made at the beach. The stars are beginning to twinkle in the skies! You can hear children laughing and playing near the beach water and from a near distance, giraffes and elephants are roaming freely. The scenery is so calm and peaceful. Finally Esther arrives with a delicious dessert: "Thanks for inviting me! I brought you a cream pie." Moments later more people arrive: Your parents, your grandparents, your friends and loved ones. Noah and David also stop by. "Is this the greatest social gathering ever?" You joke with a smile. The scene is so surreal it makes you want to cry: Your friends are sharing desserts with David, Esther is smiling and laughing with your mother and Noah is pointing towards the beach as he describes the Great Flood. Every moment is unforgettable. Suddenly the children stop playing. Everyone gets quiet. A large group of orca whales are rapidly approaching towards shore.. Traveling at a fast speed.. They are getting closer and closer, your heart is beating a little faster. "Guys.. I think they are going to splash us.. Whoa!!" Everyone cheers and runs towards the beach! You hitch a ride on a whale's back and you sit tight as he takes you on the most spectacular ride of your lifetime. Every pain that you have ever gone through, every injustice, every heartbreak and every mourning will be washed away forever.  No one will ever be sick again, no one will ever die again and no one will ever suffer again A World Without Pain, At Last. Let Your Kingdom Come !      ? .•*¨`*•..¸???¸.•*¨`*•. ?
  10. Keep In Expectation..... You wake up to get ready for work or school and you take a deep breath. Another long day lies ahead, another day of enduring in this system. Your routine stays the same: You rarely miss a meeting and you go out on the ministry constantly. You do everything you can for Jehovah and nothing distracts you from that. But the trials continue to pile up. Temptations are everywhere and the challenges of work or school are taxing on your mind and body. But you continue to rely on Jehovah everyday of your life. Time passes and things just keep getting harder and harder. Health problems continue to afflict us, tragic events happen unexpectedly. And if that's not painful enough, the death of a loved one breaks our heart and shatters it to pieces. Sometimes it seems like there is no way out. Some days are just too much to bear. You give way to tears and you cry to Jehovah in silence some nights. But you refuse to give up! You are convinced that nothing can separate us from God's love. More time passes and you keep enduring every day, holding steadfast in the truth. You rely on Jehovah's guidance more than ever and you give it your all to praise Him publicly. Then finally one day.... After coming home from work or school, your phone beeps and you receive the most astonishing text message of your life: "URGENT. Check the news !!!" Your heart starts beating a little faster. You rush to find the remote. Could this be it? Could this be the moment that we have all been waiting for? With hands shaking and palms sweating you turn on the television and in big bold letters you see this plastered across the screen: BREAKING NEWS ALERT: WORLD PEACE DECLARED. Jehovah day is about to begin!!! With tears of relief streaming down your face, you pray to Jehovah and you ask him for strength and guidance to help you deal with the earthshaking events that are about to take place worldwide. Aren't you glad you stayed spiritually alert all this time? So keep in expectation, we are on the verge of witnessing the most earth shattering events of our lives! "Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them" (1. Thessalonians 5:3) "Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true. It will not be late!" (Habakkuk 2:3)
  11. Paradise Dream........ A wonderful evening is taking place in paradise and you are taking a quiet stroll after dinner. The last bit of sun rays from the sunset have scattered across the sky and you notice a young couple in love holding hands and walking in a gorgeous trail. Eager to find out more about your surroundings, you begin to walk in rock steps to explore new areas when suddenly.. A Siberian tiger jumps out of nowhere and lands just inches from you! His paralyzing roar is so intense but so thrilling at the same time! You can hear the sound of monkeys chattering everywhere and children swinging in a tree swing above a hill. Did you ever imagine a life like this one? You continue walking with boundless energy and when you arrive at your destination, your eyes behold a spectacular panoramic view. One of your friends has built a tree house on top of a coral cliff! And it has a cute little rope stair so you can climb back up after enjoying a nice swim. There are so many dolphins under the crystal clear water and a big blue whale is lurking nearby. And look! There is another tree house with tiki torches by the sand and another house surrounded by palm trees! The waves are much calmer, the water is warmer, it is such a peaceful and serene environment. You greet your friend with a brief hug and both of you immediately run to the beach water! You swim with the dolphins and whales and you play with them over and over again, filling your heart with so much joy. It is now getting late and one by one, Jehovah’s beautiful army of stars begin to twinkle in the sky. A cascading waterfall coming down from a nearby mountain soothes your ears and you can see living organisms glowing in the water. Another unforgettable day has taken place and another day filled with thrilling memories. But just when you thought nothing could ever top the intense joy you are feeling at this moment, your friend, holding back tears, informs you that your loved ones who fell asleep in dead will finally come back to life tomorrow. When you go to bed tonight, think about the bright future that lies ahead of you. When you pull the covers up over you, see yourself in a brand New World. And when you begin to close your eyes and drift off to sleep, imagine spending a night like this one, admiring and enjoying Jehovah's creations for the rest of your eternal life. Dream of Paradise.  ? .•*¨`*•..¸???¸.•*¨`*•. ?
  12. Keep On The Watch You grab a seat at the movie theater and you sit down with your friends and loved ones. The smell of popcorn greets your nose and everyone is eager with anticipation as they wait for the movie to start. Finally all the lights go off, the sound system reaches a vibrant sound and some begin to whisper to others in their ear, wondering what the movie will be about. The intro begins with soothing music and a little girl is playing in a beautiful garden in slow motion, watching a butterfly flutter away. The scene is so peaceful and everyone is smiling, feeling relaxed. But gradually the tone of the movie grows somber and many in the audience begin to clutch their seats tightly, watching nervously. Now the scenes aren't so peaceful anymore. There are riots everywhere, the world is collapsing and people are hiding in shelters. The movie gets more intense, the suspense is building and the whole audience is silent, watching intently and waiting for the next part.. But some in the audience begin to walk away, refusing to acknowledge or watch what happens next. Unaware that the movie is about to have an astonishing plot twist, the ones who walked away missed out on the most spectacular ending ever! But YOU knew it was going to have a happy ending because you read the book and you were so thrilled to finally see the story unfold on a movie screen. There is a real life event looming on the horizon and it is rapidly approaching all of us: The Great Tribulation. But you know what successes will take place in the future because you have read "The Book" and you continue to read it in an undertone day and night. No matter what happens from now on or how bad things get, if you continue to read from "The Book" you will be prepared for anything that comes your way. And if that is not reassuring enough, the Author of "The Book" speaks to you through those pages and makes your paths straight while you endure everyday in this cruel system. This system of things is about to reach a sudden and catastrophic end that will stun the rest of the world. Have you read the Bible today? Continue to communicate with Jehovah by praying to him daily and by reading his Word. Keep on the watch! ‘Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.’ (Matthew 24:42)

  16. Our eyes are toward you.—2 Chron. 20:12. Like his father, Asa, Jehoshaphat maintained his devotion to God even when threatened by an overwhelming enemy force. (2 Chron. 20:2-4) Jehoshaphat did become afraid! Yet, “he resolved to search for Jehovah.” In prayer, he humbly admitted that his people were “powerless before this large crowd” and that he and his people did not know what to do. He fully relied on Jehovah, saying the words of today’s text. Sometimes we, like Jehoshaphat, may not know what to do, even being afraid. (2 Cor. 4:8, 9) But remember that Jehoshaphat acknowledged in a public prayer how weak he and his people felt. (2 Chron. 20:5) Those who take the spiritual lead in the family can imitate Jehoshaphat by turning to Jehovah for guidance and strength to cope with the problem they face. Do not feel ashamed to let your family hear such supplications. They will sense your trust in Jehovah. God helped Jehoshaphat, and he will also help you. w17.03 3:12, 13 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2018/6/30
  17. By wisdom the shrewd man understands the way he is going.—Prov. 14:8. We all have choices and decisions to make. Not every one of our decisions is a life-and-death matter. However, many of our decisions, the choices we make, can have a profound effect on us. Hence, the ability to make good decisions can help us to live a relatively smooth, peaceful life rather than one that is full of chaos, controversy, and disappointment. What will help us to make wise decisions? We certainly need faith in God, not doubting his willingness and ability to help us to be wise. We also need faith in JehovahÂ’s Word and in his way of doing things, trusting GodÂ’s inspired counsel. (Jas. 1:5-8) As we draw close to him and grow in love for his Word, we come to trust his judgment. Accordingly, we develop the habit of consulting GodÂ’s Word before making decisions. w17.03 2:2, 3 https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/dt/r1/lp-e/2018/6/29

  21. BREAKING NEWS | Historic Korean Constitutional Court Decision: Absence of Alternative Service Declared Unconstitutional On June 28, 2018, for the first time in South Korea’s history, the Constitutional Court declared a section of Korea’s Military Service Act (MSA) unconstitutional, as it does not provide alternative service for conscientious objectors. The landmark ruling is the key to reversing a 65-year-old policy of imprisoning conscientious objectors under the MSA. Since 1953, over 19,300 of our brothers have been sentenced to a combined total of more than 36,700 years in prison. The Constitutional Court’s decision now opens the door for the Supreme Court of Korea to apply this ruling to specific cases involving conscientious objectors. In addition, Korean lawmakers are now obligated to institute alternative service for conscientious objectors by December 31, 2019. We all rejoice with our brothers in Korea that the foundation has been laid to end decades of injustice.—Proverbs 15:30. ❤ .•*¨`*•..¸♥☼♥¸.•*¨`*•. ❤
