A 9-week-old baby named Junior Cox-Noon is becoming the “mane” attraction of the internet: for his full head of lion-like hair.

Born at the end of July, at Brighton General Hospital in the United Kingdom, baby Junior has so much hair that his mother, Chelsea Noon, has to use a blow dryer to tame the craziness. She also has to plan for public outings to take an exceptionally long time, as people stop to gush over her baby’s amazing hair.

  2. If you thought a plane that could get you from NYC to London in 30-minutes was a stunt of Sci-Fi proportions, just wait until you hear about the two guys who jetpacked next to an airplane. Emirates recently teamed up with Jetman Dubai to plan a choreographed performance 4,000 feet in the air.

The actual flight is full of stunning skylines, jaw-dropping heights, and everything else you'd imagine two jetpackers flying next to an Airbus A380 would look like. Check it out above. Want to know how it all came together? Check out the behind-the-scenes footage below:

Japanese auto giant Nissan unveiled a self-driving chair dubbed the"ProPilot Chair."

A camera and a sensor are used to guide the chair along the queue toward the front of the line. When a person reaches the front of the line and stands up, the empty chair drives itself to the back of the line. All of the other chairs move forward as the entire process starts over again.

The chair is based on the firm's autonomous vehicle technology which was designed this summer.

Company officials said the chair can alleviate the stress of waiting in line for a long time.Use link for video.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Lewis and Clark student found a piece of the past. Inside a forgotten box, he found a centuries-old Bible.

You might not look twice if you saw the Bible on a shelf, but take the time to open it up and you'll see it's special.

“It's an exciting feeling,” said Sam Bussan, a junior who works in the Lewis & Clark library as an archival assistant.

He found the more than 400-year-old Bible last week by chance.

“I was about to leave for the day,” Bussan said.

But a box caught his eye. He opened it and found a number of Bibles. One of them was printed in 1599. For Bussan, even holding the piece of history is a powerful feeling.

“It's strange to say about a book ... but it's almost a religious experience or maybe the closest thing to a religious experience that I have as a not very religious person,” Bussan said.

The Bible he found is remarkable for many reasons.

“As far as I know, it was the first Bible that was really widely used by ordinary people,” said E.J. Carter, a librarian in the Special Collections department at the school.

Carter said he hopes the find gets more students interested in history and literature.

The book is heavy and tattered, but the beauty is in the details like the smudges, the browned pages, and the carefully drawn maps.

“It's just beautiful,” said Bussan as he flipped through the pages.

Hannah Crummé, the head of the Special Collections department, said it's possible the Bible is the only copy of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. Crummé said they don't know who first owned this book. But they've traced ownership back to a man named Francis Fry. He was a Bible collector in 19th century England. From there the book was sold to a pastor in Yachats. It was then donated to the college after possibly making a pit stop in Roseburg.

“The quality of printing is really amazing,” Bussan said.

As for Bussan, he's glad he decided to make a pit stop before heading home last week. He said he's learned a lesson from all this.

“I would say keep looking just a little bit further,” he said.

The Bible is the second oldest book in their collection at Lewis & Clark College.

The oldest book they have is about 500 years old

Couples gather for a Diner en Blanc meal at the Trocadero gardens adjacent to the Eiffel Tower in Paris

This is an older article which explains Diner en Blanc. I had never heard of it before. No wonder, I discovered it is supposed to be a SECRET event held each year with thousands attending across the globe. Some secret, huh? It started out as a small gathering .....

    Quote

t didn’t start out like this. As the origin story goes, François Pasquier wanted to gather a group of friends for a party, but he didn’t have enough space in his Paris apartment. He asked his friends to bring a friend and a meal and meet at Bois de Boulogne dressed in white so those who weren’t already acquainted could identify the group.

The article continues the story. If invited, you must dress in all white, bring your own table, chairs, food, etc, and still pay admission to get in.

The reason I wanted to post about this outrageous event is because I saw some pics in a magazine that I wanted to post here under Style and Fashion, and wanted some background info. to

explain about the event.  The pics I will post will be found under Style and Fashion, and my first inclination was to post them to show what people in Dallas really wear to these kind of events.

Some attenders  report that they really enjoy this yearly event, but I think I would much prefer to use my dollars some other way. How about you? lol

Most growing churches possess an evangelical mission and congregational polity (self-governance). Churches that are not growing tend to be those with hierarchical structures. For this and other reasons, our churches today should adopt an evangelical mission and congregational polity. But, it behooves me to note exceptions: churches that are growing with centralized structure, specifically the Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Why should our churches not adopt a vertical model like theirs?

    Quote

What is essentially wrong with their model is that it is sectarian. They have embedded their message and sacrament into their organization, and admit of no salvation outside their organization. The Unification Church could easily follow this path, but that would be a betrayal of Rev. Moon’s vision. For that reason, I would reject their model.

Syria's homegrown "heroes" are only human — and not immune to the war's horrors.

Video of a White Helmets volunteer breaking down in tears after an hours-long operation to rescue a baby puts the emotional strain of Syria's bloodshed into stark relief. It was posted on YouTube overnight.

The rescuer clutches the dusty child to his chest as his shoulders heave and body trembles. As others step in to tend to the baby, the rescuer cries: "Oh god ... Oh lord."

The powerful moment was filmed in Idlib province on Thursday — a day when two hospitals in neighboring Aleppo province came under attack from pro-Syrian government aircraft.

The White Helmets say they've been targeted in Aleppo by the Syrian government in the week since President Bashar al-Assad launched a Russia-backed offensive to retake rebel-held parts of the city.

This is a long heart wrenching article with several videos. So many prayers are needed. May Jehovah bring His kingdom at His appointed time to rid the world of these atrocities.

Bees pollinate plants producing fruit, nuts and vegetables, and are crucial for the nation's food industry

    Quote

(CNN)The United States is on a mission to save some of its busiest workers: bees.

In a first for bees in the nation, seven bee species native to Hawaii are now protected under the Endangered Species Act.
The US Fish and Wildlife Service said it added the yellow-faced bee species to the federal list of endangered species Friday night after years of research concluded they are under threat.
The rule is effective October 31.
