Listen, Armageddon is so close now, maybe this year looking at the news and how fast things are happening, let's not all quibble, but embrace our brothers, enjoy their talents. Jehovah is a happy god. I for one will be glad of a range of good music in the new system. None of us know each others' circumstances, or the trials we have suffered. Some of us suffered burnout pioneering and creativity helps our mental state to just keep living. The main vibe should be deep love, no judgements, rafter in own eye and all that.  I'm clicking off now... just think 'what would Jesus say'.  ✌️ Peace.

I understand what you are saying. I sing opera at home sometimes.  I help young singers.... or chat with them to encourage them not to abandon the truth for chasing after careers in the world. 

I had to defend myself  after saying that he sets a bad example.... and everyone defended him. I am actually shocked that they defend JWs  who make themselves public icons when there are many whith more talent who choose to pioneer.... that is all.  Some if those people there are trolls... and are not sincere.

it is not about the singing or playing an instrument. It is about staying in the public eye. 

Yes, my late father was an opera singer, Puccini operas, La Boheme etc. He was also Presiding Overseer (the old title)... the two didn't gel and he was torn... but to not sing wasn't an option, he would have died inside. So he found a balance. It was difficult, but can be done. Egotistical fame in this world is short lived, but sometimes fame comes because of what you do, not you seeking it... and then it just has to be managed. Sometimes opportunities arise because of contacts in this world to reach people who are in celebrity but looking for the truth. My father met many... as have I. Jehovah knows our hearts and why we do things or follow a certain course (and not every pioneer is an angel!).

Roll on the new world... where my father will sing again, perhaps with George Benson.
