Wildfire smoke can impact your health.   Wildfire smoke is a mixture of carbon dioxide, water vapor, carbon monoxide, particulates, hydrocarbons and other organic chemicals, nitrogen oxides and trace minerals.  The composition of the smoke depends on different factors, the fuel type and moisture content, weather conditions.  Finally different species of plants release different compounds when theyÂ’re burned.   The principle concern though is particulate matter, especially the very small particles that can penetrate deeply into the lungs.
