And that is the point I was trying to draw out. If we are going to use the third clause to identify whom the Word was, there are more accurate ways. No matter what identity is used, it is not totally accurate in the sense that the third clause is supposed to be used to express the Word's divinity.

I see your point. I never came across a true literal translation. I don't think none exist. But if there was such a thing, the only fair thing to do is a literal translation without articles, capitalization and punctuation. Also the third clause was flipped but did not change the meaning from earlier translations. A literal translation often is cold and gives no meaning. Not only do we speak with words but we tend to emphasis our words with Capitalization, articles and punctuation!
The reason why we know the introduction of John is speaking about Michael is because of the meaning of Michael's name. The third clause is not speaking of the Logos identity but rather his qualitive sense. Case in point. Michael means "who is like God"? or "who is godlike"? We also know the qualitive sense of the Logos is divine.

Anyways what about giving the reader the most accurate translation as possible with the most correct rendering of meaning and inserting a footnote to the reason why it was done that way?

There is much to research, but it would be repetitive. Look at the two scriptures:

Daniel 12:1 states Michael the Great Prince would stand up which indicates the real scripture at Isaiah 9:6 LXX which says, “I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him” would be more accurate instead of the three titles Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace that replaced it. The following scripture fits like a glove. “Look! A king will reign for righteousness, And princes will rule for justice. And each one will be like a hiding place from the wind, A place of concealment from the rainstorm, Like streams of water in a waterless land, Like the shadow of a massive crag in a parched land.” (Isaiah 32:1-2) Anyways, didn’t Jesus tell his Disciples ‘not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One’? (Matthew 23:9)
Now if you noticed, Great Prince is set up by the definite article “the” which provides emphasis. But in Isaiah 9:6 KJV, there is only one definite article in referring to the government which would be God’s Kingdom. Isaiah 9:6 contains the indefinite article “a” for “a child” and “a son“. If the truth be told, really the prophecy at Isaiah and the Old Testament in it’s entirety is referring to Michael the Archangel. Archangel means Chief Messenger.
Michael is the one given the name (Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:4, Acts 4:12) Michael is the beginning of creation (John 1:1, Col 1:15, Rev 3:14, Rev 22:16) Michael and his angels fight against Satan (Daniel 10:13, Daniel 10:21, Daniel 12:1, Jude 1:9, Zechariah 3:2, Joshua 5:14, Exodus 23:20-21, Rev 18:1, Rev 12:7-9) Michael is the one who abysses Satan (Rev 20:1, Rev 9:11, Luke 8:31, 1 Cor 10:10) Not only is Michael named the Angel of Great Counsel but also called by the name The Word of God. (Rev 19:11-13, Rev 1:13-15,) Michael speaks in behalf of his Father as his personal messenger [angel] (Exodus 3:2, Acts 7:30, Isaiah 49:2, Rev 1:14-16, Matthew 17:2, Act 9:3, Acts 16:13, Acts 27:23)

Presence of Christ Foretold (2x) 29 CE & 1914 CE
 
Prophecies often unfold with two fulfilments. The first revealing of a prophecy is often referred to as a minor or physical fulfillment. The second revealing is referred to as a major or spiritual fulfillment on a much grander scale. Prophecies often are intertwined with other prophecies undergoing fulfillment and can overlap one another. However, each prophecy has a beginning and an end. They cover a specific period of time. 
The Prophet Daniel foretold the coming of the first presence of the Messiah.  Not only did he pinpoint the year that the Messiah would show up but also pinpointed to the year of the Messiah’s death.  According to the first-century historian Flavius Josephus, the nation of the Jews began looking for the Messiah in the second quarter of the first century. Some of the Jews were asking questions about the Messiah’s forerunner. Now the people were in expectation and all of them were reasoning in their hearts about John, “May he perhaps be the Christ?” (Luke 3:15) 
Daniel foretold the coming of the Messiah, so some were in expectation of the Christ. Daniel indicates this prophecy would cover over a period of 70 weeks. Seven days in a week so each week represents a 7 year period. 7 x 70 weeks = 490 days. Apply a day for a year.  A total of 490 years from the word going out in 455 BCE.
Daniel then discusses the time period leading to the arrival of “Messiah the Leader”. He mentions “7 weeks, also 62 weeks”—a total of 69 weeks. So 7 x 69 = 483 years were to pass before the Messiah would appear on the scene. Another interesting feature of this prophecy is that Daniel broke up the 70 weeks into 3 sections. The 7 weeks would represent the word going out for 49 years. The 62 weeks represent a time period of another 434 years making it a total of 483 years to pass before the fulfillment would be realized. The final week is the 70th week that would bring us to 29 CE as the final week.  Jesus was about 30 years old when he presented himself for baptism to commence the work his God and Father had given him to do. 
But the last week, the 70th week, represents a seven year period. The last of the 490 years. So this time limit is from 29 CE to 36 CE.  Daniel goes on prophesying about the time that the Messiah be cut off. “And after the 62 weeks, Mes·siʹah will be cut off, with nothing for himself.” (Daniel 9:24)  What was the 3rd section of his prophecy?  The last week which was after the 62 weeks. He was speaking about the 70th week, the time period of 29 CE to 36 CE. “And he will keep the covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week, he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease.” (Daniel 9:27) Jesus was put to death at the half of that week on Nisan 14th, 33 CE causing sacrifice and gift offering to cease. 
Daniel also announced the Conclusion or the Last Days of the Jewish System of things. “And on the wing of disgusting things there will be the one causing desolation; and until an extermination, what was decided on will be poured out also on the one lying desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)  Does this scripture sound familiar for our day? The Jewish System of things was brought to its end in 70 CE with the Destruction of the Temple.
We can learn much from digging into scripture how Jehovah did things in the past by the means of his chosen messengers.  My favorite is learning the things from His Chief Messenger Jesus Christ and how modest and humble he actually was. He was considered a ‘perfect reflection’ of his God and Father, Jehovah. It’s my hope that you get to know Jesus Christ as I have come to know him.  Matter of fact, our lives depend on it. Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
In answer to the question, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” Jesus Christ himself stated; “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36)
However, in the Book of Daniel, Bible Prophecy did point to a specific time period. Taking the time limit of 2,520 years and adding them to the time of destruction of the temple in Jerusalem 607 BCE, the timing lined up to the year 1914 CE.
Jesus eloquently gave a plethora of signs that made up a Composite Sign that would occur in marking when his second presence would occur. “Furthermore, when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified. For these things must take place first, but the end will not occur immediately.” Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.” (Luke 21:9-11) “And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)
 
Jesus Christ's Presence would not be fleshly but an invisible one, since he plainly gave his faithful followers signs to look for, his return would come in three phases.
The greek word parousía is translated “presence”  The greek word epipháneia is translated “manifestation”  The greek word apokálypsis is translated “revelation”   
Since 1918 the epipháneia or epiphany are the manifestations of Jesus Christ Presence in Kingdom Glory. These manifestations are the signs causing all the tribes of the earth to beat themselves in lamentation or grief. (Rev 1:7)  It’s not a future event but these manifestations are happening now and you are feeling them today. The end is not the end of the world as most think but rather the end of the last days that began in 1914. The end of an age of wickedness.
After Jesus admitted of not knowing the hour or date of his presence and the conclusion of a system of things, he stated, “For just as the days of Noah were, so the Presence of the Son of man will be.” (Matthew 24:37)  The Last Days of Noah were assigned an allotment of time and when that time limit expired, so did the wicked. Notice Jesus did not say he would return in the flesh but stated just as the days of Noah were, so the Presence of the Son of man will BE!  People took no note until they were swept away. 
The days of Noah were 120 years in length. (Genesis 6:3) Could the last days be ‘a conclusion of the system of things’?  Yes it can.  The earth itself is not destroyed, however the revelation phase is poised to begin as the sheep or faithful followers of Jesus Christ are marked for survivorship to keep on living into Christ’s Millennial Reign as the wicked die off. The wicked die a permanent death like that of Adam and Eve and they may even complain why those who have been Named after the true God keep on living without sickness or illnesses. The Bible explains this time period of the final phase in this manner. “All the peoples of the earth will have to see that Jehovah’s name has been called upon you, and they will be afraid of you.” (Deuteronomy 28:10) There will be no need to preach to those who have been counted wicked after the Last Days have concluded. They have been abandoned. So the Last Days have a beginning (1914) and an end to them (2034).  So how is it that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the angels did not know the hour and date?
 
 It’s all about timing. 
Then he said: “Go, Daniel, because the words are to be kept secret and sealed up until the time of the end. Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those having insight will understand.” (Daniel 12:9-10)
“It was revealed to them that they were ministering, not to themselves, but to you, regarding what has now been announced to you by those who declared the good news to you with holy spirit sent from heaven. Into these very things, angels are desiring to peer.” (1 Peter 1:12)

No. Gog of Magog (Satan's Entire Political System of things) is destroyed in the First Phase of Armageddon. Then, Jehovah's People will be protected during this period of a thousand years for several reasons.
“No more will there be an infant from that place who lives but a few days, Nor an old man who fails to live out his days. For anyone who dies at a hundred will be considered a mere boy, And the sinner will be cursed, even though he is a hundred years of age." (Isaiah 65:20)  "All the peoples of the earth will have to see that Jehovah’s name has been called upon you, and they will be afraid of you." (Deuteronomy 28:10) "They will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain, Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah As the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9) As for the second Phase of Armageddon, Jehovah will destroy Gog and Magog with LITERAL fire and consume the rebels after the 1,000 years. "Now as soon as the 1,000 years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea." (Rev 20:7-8)
So....after the 1,000 years, does Gog and Magog (Rebels) die off. They die the second death as Adam and Eve did, but they do not die off little by little, but rather they are destroyed literally for all to SEE. "But fire came down out of heaven and consumed them." (Rev 20:9)
So what the difference?  Jehovah destroyed Adam and Eve in the day of a thousand years he allotted them to produce offspring. "So all the days of Adam’s life amounted to 930 years, and then he died." (Genesis 5:5)
Those who die during Christ's Millennial Reign are brought to nothing because Jehovah promised, "they will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain."
But after the 1,000 years, the judgment day has concluded and Jesus 'hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.' (1 Corinthians 15:24)  
Therefore, anyone rejecting Jehovah's Sovereignty will be destroyed literally. "But fire came down out of heaven and consumed them." (Rev 20:9)
 
Summary:
During the first phase, under the direction of Jesus, angels will “separate the wicked from among the righteous” and destroy them. (Mt 13:40-42, 49)  Those alive who are 'wicked' when the Great Tribulation begins, die off.  Whether the 70 or 80 years of lifespan are cut down in the same manner when Jesus destroyed unfaithful Israel to 40 years in the wilderness is possible, but we do not know. Not everyone will be the age of zero but may be of all ages even 80 or older.  At any rate, their death could be sped up if they try to do harm to the Great Crowd. That would definitely speed up their death... instead of dying off.
However, before the second phase of destruction begins. Jesus 'hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.' (1 Corinthians 15:24)  Since Jesus and the 144,000 brought mankind to Perfection in the manner that Adam and Eve had it, prior to sinning. Such one's will have the prospect of everlasting life.
The sad thing is, they (Gog and Magog) choose to follow in the same footsteps of Adam and Eve and rebel with the result being catastrophic and instant.  It's JEHOVAH himself that destroys them before an audience of Earthy and Heavenly Subjects. 
After all, isn't Armageddon associated with fire and the second death?  To claim the wicked will not be destroyed after the 1,000 years have ended would be in error.

Not according to scripture. "However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day." (2 Peter 3:8)

Since the Last Days of 1914 are in reference to Satan's System of things... then the Birth Pains represent a New System of things being ushered in.  Those on the outside will not be able to escape the destruction.

Armageddon is spiritual and commences when Jesus and angels will “separate the wicked from among the righteous” and destroy them. (Mt 13:40-42, 49)
It took Jesus a period of 40 years to remove unfaithful Israel from the living and lay them in the dust and during this time, they were well fed and their clothes did not even wear out. Yet, they did not know that they were being destroyed. "Neither be murmurers, as some of them murmured, only to perish by the destroyer." (1 Cor 10:10)
Now after the 1,000 years, the scriptures state, "Now as soon as the 1,000 years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Maʹgog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea.  And they advanced over the whole earth and encircled the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down out of heaven and consumed them." (Rev 20:7-9)
Now that's LITERAL. The same ones that think Armageddon is Literal and flesh will fall off the bone and the wicked will simply melt away in a literal fire will be claiming Jehovah's Day is delaying. But such ones are in danger of being destroyed also. For them, they have "No Faith".
‘But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,’ and, ‘if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.’” (Hebrews 10:36-38) If Armageddon is literal from the start, then faith would not be needed to be exercised.  

"As early as in the year 1876, in an article that he submitted for publishing in The Bible Examiner, the president had pointed forward to 1914 as the date for “the times of the Gentiles” to end, with serious consequences for the whole world of mankind."
Back in 1876, only a few people were listening. A good number left his Bible study group.  However, has time was getting closer then more started to gain understanding.  In the Bible Students Monthly, on January, 1914, Brother Russell wrote: "'The Earth Abideth Forever' Christ will not return to Earth as a Man - Present Year Believed to Mark Great Change of Dispensation, but World May not discern Immediate Difference."
"Our Lord, in describing His Second Presence, clearly indicated that it would be unnoticed by the world until the cataclysm of trouble should come. Thus He likened the earlier days of His presence to that period before the Flood, when the world, unconscious of the impending catastrophe, continued to build, eat and drink as usual, and knew not. So, says the Master, it will be in the end of this Age. Eating, drinking, building, planting and marrying will proceed as usual; and the world will not know that they are in the PRESENCE of the Son of Man."
And we seen evidence of this even in 2022 on this very board.  They reject and deny that the Last Days have begun. When we preach and let people know we are now at the end of this period, people scoff and ridicule us, majority of those being religious hypocrites!  Denying the very Name of JEHOVAH or sat idly by while apostates were slandering. 
Notice he didn't write Second Coming, but rather 'Second Presence'? Brother Russell was speaking of Christ's PAROUSIA--PRESENCE. He continues, "The Bible nowhere tells that Jesus took the human nature to keep it forever, and to return with it to Heaven, where it would be completely out of order and out of place. The Bible teaches, on the contrary, that "flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God" (1 Cor 15:50); and that Jesus was made flesh merely 'that He, by the grace of God, should taste death for every man' (Heb 2:9) and that after doing this work He would "ascend up where He was before." (John 6:62) The great Day of Trouble, noted throughout the Scriptures as the Time of Trouble such as never was since there was a nation, will come upon them suddenly."

Since the Last Days of 1914 are in reference to Satan's System of things... then the Birth Pains represent a New System of things being ushered in.  Those on the outside will not be able to escape the destruction.  
The period of time leading up to the end of the system of things, or state of affairs, dominated by Satan. It runs concurrently with Christ’s presence. Under the direction of Jesus, angels will “separate the wicked from among the righteous” and destroy them. (Mt 13:40-42, 49) Jesus’ disciples were interested in the timing of that “conclusion.” (Mt 24:3) Before his return to heaven, he promised his followers that he would be with them until that time.—Mt 28:20.
Armageddon is spiritual and commences when Jesus and angels will “separate the wicked from among the righteous” and destroy them. (Mt 13:40-42, 49)
It took Jesus a period of 40 years to remove unfaithful Israel from the living and lay them in the dust and during this time, they were well fed and their clothes did not even wear out. Yet, they did not know that they were being destroyed. "Neither be murmurers, as some of them murmured, only to perish by the destroyer." (1 Cor 10:10)
Now after the 1,000 years, the scriptures state, "Now as soon as the 1,000 years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Maʹgog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea.  And they advanced over the whole earth and encircled the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down out of heaven and consumed them." (Rev 20:7-9)
Now that's LITERAL. The same ones that think Armageddon is Literal and flesh will fall off the bone and the wicked will simply melt away in a literal fire will be claiming Jehovah's Day is delaying. But such ones are in danger of being destroyed also. For them, they have "No Faith".
‘But my righteous one will live by reason of faith,’ and, ‘if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.’” (Hebrews 10:36-38) If Armageddon is literal from the start, then faith would not be needed to be exercised.  

"During that time {Jesus Christ} will stand up, the Great Prince who is standing in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down in the book. And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life and others to reproach and to everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:1-2)
So Michael is the angel that would be given a new name. That new name would have a significant meaning since prophecy states, "I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the place that I have prepared.  Pay attention to him, and obey his voice. Do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgressions, because my name is in him." (Exodus 23:20-21)
Since Michael was created in the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, his name reflects that meaning. Michael when translated means 'Who is Godlike?' or 'Who Is Like God?' The scripture points this meaning out quite nicely, "You made him a little lower than godlike ones, And you crowned him with glory and splendor." (Psalm 8:5) Immanuel when translated means "With us is God?'
The Scriptures also point out that Michael was sent and given the name to the glory of God the Father. "Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and became human." (Philippians 2:5-7) Yes, this very angel would be given the name to the glory of God the Father and have his Father's Name in him. “I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name, which you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one."(John 17:11)
"More than that, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake.  For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground—  and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:8-11) The Name (Jesus) when translated means “Jehovah Is Salvation.”
"And war broke out in heaven: {Jesus Christ and his angels} battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven." (Rev 12:7-8)
That War began in 1914 and has been affecting the earth and its inhabitants ever since. Michael gives encouragement to his followers: "I am coming quickly. Keep holding fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown. The one who conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will by no means go out from it anymore, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the New Jerusalem that descends out of heaven from my God, and my own new name." (Rev 3:11-12) "So he has become better than the angels to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs." (Hebrews 1:4)
'I, {Michael} sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning star.’ (Rev 22:16)

If people knew that Brother Lett's Parents were deaf, they could see why he speaks the way he does.  Have you seen how a deaf person communicates? They over exaggerate to get their point across. When the wicked make fun of Brother Lett, they (the demons) are poking fun at the deaf.

Read my post more carefully and begin to use your head a little better, especially when, I was just trying to have you explain why "denial" and "lie" are two distinct definitions. You are not serving Jehovah well by acting with such bad behavior.
If you see my post, I'm agreeing with you and Brando that Peter lied. There's no need for you or Brando to encourage further negativity. Are you even Jehovah's Witnesses?

When a baby is born, when did that baby learn about God? It appears several here still don't get what Brother Lett was offering when dealing with, how we are all enemies of God until we learn the truth. A baby is taught into maturity. Especially when it comes to spiritual maturity. 
That doesn't make him wrong, just cultured into the truth of the matter.
