A CO who talked to my father about a requested upgrade to the sound system in the KH and who recommended that this upgrade effort go towards a different need in the Norco Assembly Hall. I heard something like it from a trusted elder in NYC. He claims it's talk from "higher up," and I didn't press him.

Ray Devereaux reacted to Patiently waiting for Truth in Prince Philip (husband of the Queen) has died. It got me thinking about the resurrection.
(I need something lighthearted after the stress of CC)
So Prince Philip has died at the ripe old age of 99.  A good innings i would say.
An Elder I know continues to say that the dead will 'all' get a resurrection. (Yes we know of certain ones that we presume won't)
I was just 'thinking aloud' that when Prince Philip is resurrected they will say to him, "There is good news and bad news" "The good news is that you have been resurrected into this wonderful new world" "The bad news is that you are no longer a prince".
Continuing this thought pattern. If everyone is resurrected with their 'old' memory, then they will have to make big adjustments in their lives. Thinking of people that would have had powerful positions, or maybe had servants. I never really delved into the thoughts of everyone being equal, but I've heard that the Elders believe they will be princes.
Of course there will be the need of things being 'organised' after Armageddon. But will it go back to having men ruling over the people ? Even if it did it would not be the earthly rulers we have now. So they would have to show great humility. Maybe it will be easier for people that have had a more lowly position in this world to adjust to the 'new world'.
(I do hope we won't get CC or others, telling some here, that they won't be in the 'new world'. Christ has the authority to judge all.)

Ray Devereaux reacted to Witness in Is this REALLY "all over the newspapers" in Finland?
Because of a false sense of peace, safety, security found by JWs as members of “Jehovah’s organization”, the type and source of persecution against them, is always directed to those on the outside of the organization, and not inside where spiritual “Jacob” resides among “Gentiles”. (1 Thess 5:2-3)   I’m not saying that JWs do not suffer persecution from governments.  Although, if persecution against them exists outside, is it possible that it exists inside JW walls in the environment of sin?  I believe no JW will say that discipline is needed – repentance of their own sins is needed, because they suffer from external sources.  No JW will link the corruption that flows from the spiritual in-house throne of those who rule over them, with the persecution they face outside the organization.  Although not announced, they will say, this is the great tribulation, and such suffering is to be expected!  It makes you wonder why the announcement hasn't occurred.  But, I am guessing  that one reason is that the GB say it will take "years" to complete their projects of videos on the the gospels about Jesus. Are they so side-tracked in this work, they are completely forgetting about the great tribulation and Armageddon?  Perhaps, they know the truth about who are, the target of the great tribulation.  (Mark 14:13-20)
When Israel suffered at the hands of other nations, it was because of their own sins.  (Deut 31:17,18; Ps 44:17-24) Lamentations is the perfect example of suffering because of Israel’s sins. (Lam 2:8)  JWs are not fighting on the side of righteousness, when their house, their organization is filled with unrighteousness.  How blind, how foolish it is, to think that God is on their side, when His anointed people have allowed men to rule over them and replace His priesthood - His heritage, His chosen people. (Lam 1:10; 2:7; Ezek 44:6-9; Dan 11:36; Mark 13:14; 2 Thess 2:3,4; 1 Pet 2:5,9,10;1 Cor 3:16,17;  Rev 11:1,2)
It is God’s people that must look at their own sins.
    Psalm 94:
    Lord, God of vengeance—
    God of vengeance, shine!
    2 Rise up, Judge of the earth;
repay the proud what they deserve.
3 Lord, how long will the wicked—
how long will the wicked celebrate?
    4 They pour out arrogant words;
    all the evildoers boast.
    5 Lord, they crush Your people;
    they oppress Your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the resident alien
    and murder the fatherless.
7 They say, “The Lord doesn’t see it.
The God of Jacob doesn’t pay attention.”
8 Pay attention, you stupid people!
Fools, when will you be wise?
9 Can the one who shaped the ear not hear,
the one who formed the eye not see?
10 The one who instructs nations,
the one who teaches mankind knowledge—
    does He not discipline?
    11 The Lord knows the thoughts of mankind;
    they are futile.
12 Lord, how happy is anyone You discipline
    and teach from your law
13 to give him relief from troubled times
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 The Lord will not leave His people
    or abandon His heritage,
15 for the administration of justice will again be righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who stands up for me against the wicked?
Who takes a stand for me against evildoers?
17 If the Lord had not been my helper,
I would soon rest in the silence of death.
18 If I say, “My foot is slipping,”
Your faithful love will support me, Lord.
19 When I am filled with cares,
    Your comfort brings me joy.
20 Can a corrupt throne be your ally,
a throne that makes evil laws?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death. (spiritual “killing”/disfellowshipping – Rev 11:1-3,7;13:15)
    22 But the Lord is my refuge;
my God is the rock of my protection.
23 He will pay them back for their sins
and destroy them for their evil.
The Lord our God will destroy them.

Ray Devereaux reacted to Patiently waiting for Truth in ASKING FOR PERMISSION TO PARTAKE OF THE EMBLEMS
This is a new topic (because we are supposed to do this) based on information given by @JW Insider
JWI gave information about someone being told NOT TO  partake of the emblems at the Memorial.
This evening is the Memorial of the last meal that Christ shared with His closest followers.
Whilst we remember how Christ gave his life I would like to share a scripture at Revelation 5
9, And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10  and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
This scripture shows that Christ 'was slaughtered' for the Anointed ones.
So I have a question. Do JWs who feel they are of the Anointed have to ask the Elders for permission to partake of the Emblems ?
Q2. Does any human on this earth have the right to judge if another person can partake of those emblems ?

It can be. From first sentence to the last. But, keeping in mind that these are JW members, then it stops being weird because the ideas came from someone within the System. It can only be strange that people on the outside don’t understand the JW System :)).
As I said, it is good for members of society (of different ideologies) to connect, at least through children. Because an individual often needs the help of the wider community to be able to live. Sometimes the whole community finds itself in a situation of being affected by a natural disaster and if they do not act, how much so, mutually it will be harder for them to overcome the crisis. Physical or mental. So, it is not bad for children to be involved in humanitarian matters, but with measure and with what children are and should be ... The future of a better humanity. And not under the control of the System that makes them future adults who will blindly follow GB.

Not to mentioned Sunday Ice Cream money (after KH meeting). It is good to learn children about charity and sharing with others. But, is it really proper to do that with Institutional Cartoons of Company who have real-estate riches, stocks, etc?

And you don't think children should have fun and play games ?  You don't think children should be allowed to live a 'childhood' ?  Of course not, because your Leaders tell you that children must be kept away from the real world.  You don't want children to build up their own spiritual immune system....
You want children to be dictated to by parents, that are dictated to by Elders, that are dictated to by , , , the GB / Leaders of the W/t / JW Org.
You seem to want this idea that JW parents make their children sit down and copy, 50 copies of a dictated letter. Then those JW parents can happily fill in those lovely little 'ministry forms' for all their children, reporting all the hours their little ones have 'happily' spent doing the GB's will. And you call this serving God.
And that is all apart from the legality, even from the Org's viewpoint, of posting letters through people's doors, during a serious virus problem.  I do know for sure that the instructions from the Leaders of the Org, is NOT to put things through people's doors, but to post letters through the postal system.  I don't think the article makes it clear as to how the letters were received.

Why you call my name in vain? :)))
Children want to be like adults. Adults want their children to be like themselves or something bigger and better. Children imitate adults and accept suggestions. I think these mentioned children of JW parents are doing what their parents suggested to them.
Sometimes it can be nice, cute, funny, fun, delighting adults and the like. This child's letter, which is presented in the topic, has at least two elements. It begins with a good introduction, then turns in a direction that is religiously marked because the child mentions the Bible in a way that is characteristic of religiously oriented people, someone who is engaged in Bible study. In other words, the sentence sounds like it was written by an adult, not a child.
This is followed by a completely strange wording that invites the recipient of the letter to go to JWORG. This is where the child's mind, children's openness and naivety completely cease, and the influence of propaganda begins.
So, I don’t mind children writing letters to their neighbors at a time when their surroundings are affected by some trouble, if their parents want it. It is a kind of social engagement, though religiously colored. Everyone is looking for their own meaning and purpose of life, their own way out of the problem.
Given that this is related to WTJWorg, then this kind of action through letters can only be seen as a way of acting of a religious organization and its members who stopped going from house to house and found a substitute way of preaching.

Residents in Leith who received handwritten letters through their door from Jehovah’s Witnesses members as young as ten-years-old have branded the move ‘sick’.
It has emerged that residents in Leith and other areas of the city have been targeted by the group – notorious for door-stepping – by letters written in multiple languages.
The man, who had also received a leaflet from the group, who claim to be the ‘one true faith’, said in his comments the move was “sick”. He added: “This is indoctrination of a 10-year-old child. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are a dangerous cult.”
full article available on link above.
Well I suppose the children have to get their hours in or they will counted as 'inactive' publishers. The Org needs to keep it's number up somehow.

BUT if the letters are hand written and then put through doors, they could pass on the Virus, so this might be illegal,

ESTABLISHING DUTY IN CHILD SEX ABUSE CASES AGAINST THE JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES -
In 2019, 13 states and the District of Columbia amended civil statutes to enlarge statutes of limitations for child sex abuse claims. In 2019, 13 states and the District of Columbia amended civil statutes to enlarge statutes of limitations for child sex abuse claims. Eight of these jurisdictions enacted revival statutes allowing previously time-barred child sex abuse claims to proceed: New York, the District of Columbia, Montana, New Jersey, Arizona, Vermont, Rhode Island, and North Carolina. Since implementation of these statutes, survivors of child sex abuse have filed complaints against many different institutions—not just against individual perpetrators of abuse—including, the Roman Catholic Church, various independent schools, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Jehovah’s Witnesses parent-organization, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. (“Watchtower”). Institutions may be directly liable for sex abuse committed by their agents through negligencebased claims, such as, negligent supervision, hiring/ retention, and failure to warn. In Jehovah’s Witnesses cases, perpetrators of sex abuse commonly hold the position of church “elder” or “ministerial servant.” In those cases, attorneys for the Jehovah’s Witnesses typically argue that elders and ministerial servants are unpaid volunteers, not employees or agents of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and, thus, the organization has no duty to protect one congregant from abuse by another congregant, especially if the abuse occurred off congregation premises. Below are some examples of evidence that Plaintiffs’ attorneys have successfully marshaled to counter this argument. First, the Jehovah’s Witnesses organizational structure shows that elders and ministerial servants are indeed agents of the Church. In J.W. v. Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., California’s appeals court provides a generally accurate description of the Jehovah’s Witnesses hierarchy. The relevant upshot is that, “[e]lders are the highest authority at the congregational level,” and, thus, are the Jehovah’s Witnesses equivalent of Roman Catholic priests.5 In order to be appointed an elder, a person must first be a Minsterial Servant in good standing. Top-down, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, or, “Watchtower,” as the parent-organization is known, is controlled by the Governing Body of eight elders, essentially the board of directors for Watchtower.  Below the Governing Body are circuits generally comprised of 20 to 22 congregations.  Below the circuit-level are local congregations, each managed by a body of elders, who select candidates for becoming elders and ministerial servants. Watchtower’s own documents and policies elucidate the institution’s agency relationship with its elders and ministerial servants, and reveal the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ own perception that a duty arises from those relationships. For example, in another California child sex abuse case, Watchtower produced a July 20, 1998 letter in which the organization admonishes All Bodies of Elders against appointing child sex abusers as elders or ministerial servants because, “this could result in costly lawsuits. . . . [C]ourt officials and lawyers will hold responsible any organization that knowingly appoints former child abusers to positions of trust, if one of these, thereafter, commits a further act of child abuse.” The letter concedes, “[t]hose who are appointed to privileges of services, such as elders and ministerial servants, are put in a position of trust. . . .this includes being more liberal in leaving children in their care and oversight.” As for any attempt to mitigate the role of ministerial servants as compared to elders, the Watchtower policy manual, “Organized to do Jehovah’s Will,” instructs that ministerial servants are authorized to perform tasks otherwise reserved for elders, when an elder is unavailable, such as: (1) conduct Congregation Book Study; (2) handle Service Meetings; (3) handle parts of the Theocratic Ministry School; and (4) deliver public talks in the local congregation. Based on the above, courts have been persuaded that Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations are liable for “violat[ing] [a] duty,” when a clergy sex abuse victim’s parents were “congregants, who in deciding to permit [the perpetrator] into their home reasonably relied on his status as an appointed ministerial servant as well as on his good standing and reputation within the congregation. . . .”13 In addition to the above, the California Court of Appeal rejected the notion that a plaintiff failed to sufficiently allege proximate cause when the sexual abuse had occurred off congregation premises, mainly relying on a respondeat superior discussion in Comment C to the Restatement (3d) of Agency § 7.05: “causation may not be present when the harm occurs outside the work environment. It does not reflect that causation cannot be found when the harm occurs outside the work environment.” Understanding the structure, history, and policies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is important for proving the parentinstitution’s liability in a child sex abuse case; but this is just a start.

Some of you know about 'things of this world' whereas i don't.  Does this ring any alarm bells for you ?
A second Nuremberg Tribunal has been prepared since last week and a class action is being set up... A class action, or representative action, is a lawsuit in which a large group of people collectively bring a claim to court, or in which a certain class of defendants is sued
Reiner Fuellmich  is getting that support from the thousands of lawyers worldwide to bring the Covid19 scandal set up in Davos to the tribunal.
Covid-19 becomes fraud case of the century
So now he faces his next job. The job of a lifetime, supported by thousands of lawyers and experts worldwide.
According to Reiner Fuellmich, all the frauds committed by German companies are nothing compared to the damage this Covid-19 scam has caused and continues to cause.
This Covid-19 crisis should be renamed the “Covid-19 scandal” and all those responsible should be prosecuted for civil damages resulting from manipulation and falsified testing protocols.
Therefore, an international network of corporate lawyers will litigate the biggest tort case of all time namely The Covid-19 fraud scandal which has since become the biggest crime against humanity ever.
On the initiative of a group of German lawyers, a Covid-19 commission of inquiry was set up with the aim of bringing collective action on an international level on the basis of Anglo-Saxon law.
The committee’s conclusion is that Covid-19 is being used as a diversionary tactic by business and political “elites” with the goal of shifting market shares and wealth from small and medium-sized businesses to global platforms such as Amazon, Google, Uber, and other big tech and multinational corporations.
Platforms such as Amazon, Google, Uber, and other bigtech have thus appropriated their market shares and their wealth
    --------------------------------------
Moreover, an interview with a whistleblower from a Berlin retirement home reveals that of the 31 people vaccinated there, some by force and actual violence in the presence of Bundeswehr soldiers, while their (useless) “test” was negative prior to vaccination. Eight people have now died and 11 have serious side effects.
It certainly proves that humans cannot put their trust in other humans, whichever side of the coin is right, the other is then lying.
So, is it a sign of the times or just a continuous sinking in the myre.............. ?

Ray Devereaux reacted to Witness in Why can one no longer (why not recommended to) “eat” WTJWorg “spiritual food” from the past?
Thank you for the video, and I appreciated your comment.
“And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.”  Eccl 12:11
Surrounding that text is the description of the wise “Preacher” seeking acceptable words, and what was written (by him) was upright – words of truth.  After the above verse, the conclusion was made to keep God’s commandments; and, every piece of work – written work of words – will be brought into judgment.
“Including every secret thing, whether good or bad.”  Eccl 12:14
Should the truth be wearisome to the flesh or refreshing as the living water that Jesus offers? (John 4:10) Are JWs ever disappointed that their “truth” ends up in the trash? I wonder if they care.
G Jackson made a recent comment about the mind’s “symbolic pathways”. To paraphrase, he said when we have new thoughts, new concepts, pathways form in the mind.  They become more solid when we think of them.  The pathways become easier to “walk along”.  He gives the example of someone whacking their way through a jungle.  Then he says, in personal study and meditation, we shouldn’t always look for new things.
    What things?
He states, “sometimes we might say, well I’ve read that publication already, I don’t need to reread it.  Yes, you do.  Why?  Because, just because you cut a path in your mind through the jungle doesn’t mean to say that that path is always going to remain easy to pass through. No, it’s good for us to go back again and go over and over the same things.”
Why would we go over and over a publication that may end up in the trash?
The GB member didn’t mention going over and over the Bible, the source of truth, where keys to wisdom continually bring us new understanding.  Shouldn’t we always look for new thoughts in God’s Word?
What he is explaining is the cult tactic to drive home lies that are wearisome to the flesh, to the mind, and to the spirit.
Brainwashing:: Cult leaders are known to repeat various lies and distortions until members find it difficult to distinguish between reality and cult life.
    ...or between truth and lies.

Ray Devereaux reacted to Srecko Sostar in Why can one no longer (why not recommended to) “eat” WTJWorg “spiritual food” from the past?
Because that food has become "garbage."
Such “spiritual food” that was produced and multiplied in the past in WTJWorg printing presses is no longer produced. Most publications (books, magazines, booklets...) that many JWs today don’t even know about, are no longer used. It has been forgotten on the shelves of few old JW members and in the archives of WTJWorg in America.
Many publications were literally destroyed and / or thrown in the trash.
Personally, I remember helping to throw away hundreds of books in Zagreb's Bethel (at the old address at 11 Kamaufova Street in Zagreb) before many decades. It was a small format book, if I'm not mistaken the color was light blue, hardcover) A few of us were a young workforce carrying boxes of books out of the basement. And some of us had astonished faces in disbelief wondering, "Is it not a sin to throw away the word of God written in these books"?
The leading people of Bethel in Zagreb, together with the USA Administration, obviously did not consider such a procedure to be incorrect. Why? Well because of what many of us later realized. That wasn't "the truth" anyway. And more than that, it was not "the truth" from God. There are things that are “true” and without God to tell us that. But, WTJWorg used just the latter to convince people to accept human interpretations and beliefs as God's. Once upon a time, even today, they claim the same; that everything written in WTJWorg publications came from God via FDS channel or through GB.
It is unlikely that someone who simply reads the Bible without taking advantage of divinely provided aids could discern the light. That is why Jehovah God has provided “the faithful and discreet slave,” foretold at Matthew 24:45-47. Today that “slave” is represented by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is under the direction of this body that the “Light Bearers” District Convention has been arranged. - https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1992328 - Come to the “Light Bearers” District Convention
Title of this article suggesting how GB is Light Bearers, and then all JW members who sow such "truth" are likewise, light bearers.
Also: So, then, we have noted four basic avenues of aid: (1) reading and studying God’s Word, together with Christian literature; (2) persevering in prayer; (3) yielding to the influence of God’s holy spirit; and (4) enlisting the aid of mature Christians. In these ways, many, many persons have been helped in their struggle to overcome weaknesses. Yet, some have a far more difficult time conquering weaknesses than do others. Are there yet other aids that they could effectively use? - https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1982762
Why do “divinely provided aids” end up in the trash?

The first children born into the Kingdom, and the first who are bought by the blood of Christ, are the anointed who have, through affliction and refinement, proven faithful and obedient to his teachings. (Mark 14:24; John 15:20,21; 16:33; Rom 4:13; Rev 3:21; 5:9,10)    As the older siblings of the family, their role is to watch out for their younger siblings not anointed.  In imitation of their Head, Jesus, and as members of his Body, they also “sacrifice” their life for their younger siblings, who are the final “promised seed”. (Gen 17:1,2)  This plays out by the priesthood of “kings” teaching and guiding God’s future children on earth and under the guidance of Jesus. (Mal 2:7) (Gen 28:10-15; John 1:51)   They are called “trees” that provide “healing to the nations”.  (Ps 1:3; Zech 4:11,14; Matt 7:17,20: Rev 11:4;22:2)    This healing is wisdom from God and Jesus Christ. (Prov 4:5-9)
Jesus was the first promised seed of the covenant made with Abraham. (Gal 3:16)  We are aware that Jesus established another promise, the New Covenant which is represented as a “woman”…and at its fulfillment  when it also produces a “seed”, (John 12:24) this mother becomes the source of life for future promised seeds. (Gal 4:24,28) Jesus is the greater Adam and described as an “eternal Father” in Isa 9:6.  His “Bride” is the new Eve, bringing life to the rest of the children of God.  (Isa 60:1-5)
So, those under this promise before fulfilled, are the anointed. (Gal 4:26) Yet, all children of the Kingdom benefit from the New Covenant.  When an anointed is sealed while on earth, those not anointed who have turned to Jesus Christ for understanding, are directed by Holy Spirit to the “Marriage Feast”. (Matt 22:1-14)  God determines the condition of their heart and gives these ones to Jesus to look out for, to feed spiritually, through members of his promised sealed Bride, until the Kingdom arrives. (John 6:44;13:20)
At this feast, the true story is told of how the Kingdom will arrive. Clarity, clear waters of truth, flow from the Temple/Zion of God. (John 7:38; Rev 22:1,2,17; 19:19) (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16; Eph 2:20-22)    The feast is the pouring out of understanding (of Revelation, which “reveals” its meaning) for all future children in the Kingdom, those of the anointed and those not anointed, who choose to accept this wisdom.  I am referring to those in the last days.  We know that there are many who have died who will be resurrected. (Matt 22:32; John 5:25,28,29)
We are all equal, but not all will have the same responsibility as God’s children in the Kingdom, just as in the nation of Israel.  At that time, the priests were chosen purposely to care for the needs of the children of God.  This was a “copy and shadow” of things to come.  (Heb 8:5)
Besides administering justice (2 Chron 19:8-11; Heb 8:10), it seems very fitting that the Bride/priests of Jesus will be providing spiritual “healing” in the form of God's wisdom, to the nations.  (Rev 22:1-5)
“According to the Encyclopedia Judaica, medicine and religion were closely connected for Jews in ancient times. Priests were “the custodians of public health,” and Jews in biblical times regarded the physician as “the instrument through whom God could effect the cure.”  (Lev chapter 13-15)

Ray Devereaux reacted to Witness in RECOGNIZING THE WOLF
    g93 3/22 p. 3
THE story is told of a boy who watched the sheep of the villagers. To stir up a bit of excitement, one day he cried out, “Wolf! Wolf!” when there was no wolf. The villagers rushed out with clubs to drive off the wolf, only to find that there was none. It was such great fun that later on the boy repeated his cry. Again the villagers rushed out with their clubs, only to discover that it was another false alarm. After that a wolf did come, and the boy sounded the warning, “Wolf! Wolf!” but the villagers dismissed his cry as another false alarm. They had been fooled too often.
So it has become with those who proclaim the end of the world. Down through the centuries since Jesus’ day, so many unfulfilled predictions have been made that many no longer take them seriously.
Does the failure of such predictions to come true convict as false prophets those who made them, within the meaning of Deuteronomy 18:20-22? That text reads: “The prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. And in case you should say in your heart: ‘How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?’ when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak.”
There are some who make spectacular predictions of the world’s end to grab attention and a following, but others are sincerely convinced that their proclamations are true. They are voicing expectations based on their own interpretation of some scripture text or physical event. They do not claim that their predictions are direct revelations from Jehovah and that in this sense they are prophesying in Jehovah’s name. Hence, in such cases, when their words do not come true, they should not be viewed as false prophets such as those warned against at Deuteronomy 18:20-22. In their human fallibility, they misinterpreted matters.

We can see the Wt is trying to remove itself from being labeled “false prophets”. Does this mean that God also has turned a blind eye to their many failed predictions as they have done?
The leaders of “Israel” and all anointed (New Jerusalem/holy city) are to bear the name of God, symbolically. (Jer 25:29; Dan 9:18)  Anything that comes out of their mouths is to be in truth with Jesus Christ’s teachings. But are they?  Jesus tells us that we can detect the false teachers/prophets from the genuine teachers he has sent, by what comes out of their mouth, what “fruit”/teachings they have produced.  (Matt 7:15-19)  In Matt 7:15, Jesus calls them “false prophets" - "ravaging wolves".
The second key to labeling the leaders of the organization as false prophets is their “voicing expectations based on their own human interpretations.”  God calls these ones, false prophets, because they are “prophesying” and filling their hearers with false hopes…as well as grabbing the attention and a following of those witnessed to, as in the house-to-house work.
“This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.”  Jer 23:16
“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”  2 Pet 1:20,21
Can an organization claim to be guided by Holy Spirit when every prophesy made, was at the will of a human and not the will of God?
“Offer yourself as a role model of good actions. Show integrity, seriousness, 8 and a sound message that is above criticism when you teach, so that any opponent will be ashamed because they won’t find anything bad to say about us.”  Titus 2:7-9

It is a lie that the WT has never called itself "prophets".  Wt. 1972 Apr 1 pp.197-199 'They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them'
