A Circuit Overseer was working with a very humble brother in a rich part of town. When they reached a beautiful house, they met a man who did not hide his hostility. It was the humble brother’s turn to speak:
Good day Sir. We are here to show people God's name.
As you can see here in Psalm 83:18 it reads: ‘That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.’
After a moment the man said: I want you to show me that in MY bible.
The man returned with his bible and gave it to the brother. The text read: 'That they may know that you alone, whose name is the 'Lord,' are the Most High over all the earth.'
You see? Said the man with an altered voice - God's name is 'Lord!’ - You understand nothing of the Bible! It is I who should teach YOU and that's exactly what I'll do!

And the first thing you need to do is throw out your Bible. Give me your name and address! I will step in your home to teach you whenever you want.
With a pencil and piece of paper ready, the man asked: What is your name?
The humble brother replied: My name is Lord.

No, I want to know your personal name - insisted the man.
My name is 'Lord', insisted the brother.
You must have a name. What is it? Insisted the resident.
My name is 'Lord', insisted the brother even more.
How can you be so stupid? Screamed the man. 'Lord' is not a name ...

Returning to the man’s bible, the brother answered calmly:
Well, if 'Lord' is not a name, then throw out YOUR Bible!

This woman in the video found the lion, injured in the forest, on the verge of death. She took the lion home with her and nursed it back to health. Later, when the lion was better, she made arrangements with a zoo to take the lion. Some time passed before the woman had a chance to visit the zoo. This video was taken when she walked up to the lion's cage to see how he was doing. Watch the lion's reaction when he sees her......  ;o)

I use a similar line of reasoning. Since Satan was in heaven and speaking directly with God (eg. re: Job) it's a given  from first person experience, that he would know the nature of God and Jesus. Therefore would it make any sense for Satan to try to tempt Jesus to be disloyal to God if he thought Jesus was God himself?  It would lead to the absurd conclusion that he was trying to get God should be disloyal to himself. What would the sovereign and creator of the universe have to gain by now being subservient to Satan? Not to mention the pain and suffering he would knowingly be inflicting on all his creation. The temptation scenario only makes sense if Satan (correctly) understood that Jesus was lower than Almighty God and was attempting to challenge Jehovahs right to rule by having Jesus perform an act of obedience to Satan.

Jehovah Is Our Helper
“My help is from Jehovah, the Maker of heaven and earth.”—PSALM 121:2.
WHO among us never needs a helping hand? The truth is that we all need help at times—to cope with a weighty problem, to endure a painful loss, to bear up under a difficult trial. When needing help, people often turn to a caring friend. Sharing a burden with such a friend may make it easier to bear. But there is only so much that a fellow human can do to help. Besides, others may not always be in a position to respond when help is needed.
There is, however, a Helper who has unlimited power and resources. Furthermore, he assures us that he will never forsake us. He is the One identified by the psalmist who with full confidence declared: “My help is from Jehovah.” (Psalm 121:2) 
Why was this psalmist convinced that Jehovah would help him? To answer that question, let us examine Psalm 121. Doing so will enable us to see why we too can confidently look to Jehovah as our Helper.
An Unfailing Source of Help
The psalmist began by pointing to Jehovah’s creatorship as a basis for confidence: “I shall raise my eyes to the mountains. From where will my help come? My help is from Jehovah, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1, 2)

This new understanding came about around 1992. I believe Anthony Morris III proposed that article which was eventually published in The Watchtower.
As for some "Worldly" people (a term we try not to use in public) being the Nethinim class in "Paradise"... I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I, for one, would be excited to now that billions of people would be allowed to live in the new theocracy rather than be destroyed.
Maybe this will be part of the upcoming "New Scrolls"?
 
As for the Gibeonites, ... well.... that is a whole other question I will have to tackle later. ;-)

Community rallies around house fire family

THE BILOELA community has rallied around the young family who lost their house and family pets in a house fire at the weekend.
Family friend Kirrilly McCabe set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the family just hours after the home was destroyed.
"I just thought about how we would cope in that situation - they literally were in the car and just had the clothes on their back," she said.
"They're also both not the type to ask for help. I wasn't sure how (they) would react, but I've spoken to the mother since and she's just extremely grateful that someone has sort of taken the reins."
Mrs McCabe said the community response was instant and overwhelming.
"The community's been really generous - not just through the GoFundMe but we've also had a drop off point and people have been dropping stuff off all week.
"Some of the online donations have come from people that we know through a mutual facebook group - one was in Victoria and one was from New South Wales.
"We've also gotten heaps of other donations from around town and vouchers from local businesses. One business even set up a money tin on the counter."
Physical donations were so numerous that Mrs McCabe had to post an update on Tuesday night letting people know that the family had reached capacity and needed to spend some time sorting through what they have been given.
The mother of the family, who said they wish to remain anonymous, told the Central Telegraph that members of the local Jehovah's Witnesses church had paid for a hotel for the first two nights before her partner's work was able to step in and arrange emergency accommodation.
"The support's been overwhelming, I just want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the community that's been there to support us through this rough time," she said.
"Kirrilly has been amazing. Our online and real life communities have sort of come together."
She said she and her partner were trying not to dwell on the fire by keeping themselves busy with day-to-day tasks and setting things up at their new place.
"The kids are too young to really know what's going on - (my son) doesn't really understand why we can't go back," she said.
"We're just going through donations and dealing with insurance at the moment."
Organisers of upcoming pre-loved fashion markets at the PCYC have been in contact with the family about fundraising in the coming months so that support will continue "when the dust has settled."

Jeanson is a relatively central figure in the Creation Science movement, since he has (in fact) a Medical PhD from Harvard. The fact that he apparently painstakingly obtained the degree in order to disregard every piece of knowledge obtained in the process soley for the purpose of lending an air of authority to anti-science makes his degree meaningless, of course, but the Creationist movement still tout it as evidence for their claims. This is, of course, further showcased by his young earth Creationist arguments, which are the same as the ones Gish used in the 60s and which reveal no grasp of the science. And it is, of course, showcased by the fact that Jeanson himself admits to obtaining the degree for window-dressing.

Diagnosis: This guy seems to virtually worship confirmation bias, and he seems pathologically unable to recognize the problem (though with sufficient zeal and confirmation bias the difference between dishonesty and ignorance does admittedly become murky). He is shown off as a circus freak by the Creationist movement, but seems to have made little impact beyond that.
