Witness got a reaction from Shiwiii in Norwegian talk show "Nytt på Nytt" making fun of Jehovah's Witnesses - English subtitles
How will this version of the "man of lawlessness" conquer/overcome the anointed ones?  How will it "sit" in/ rule over the "saints"? Which servants of God are exposing this "man of lawlessness" that has invaded the Temple? The GB?  Rev 11:1-3   You are believing in a counterfeit fulfillment. You are very knowledgeable of the politics and religions of the world, the physical conditions that Satan maneuvers using his authority to do so.  Yet, your spiritual "eyes" fail to see that the Temple - the anointed "living stones" and "dwelling place" of God, has already been "trampled" by your organization's rule over them.  1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22; Rev 11:1,2
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.  2 Thess 2:3,4
Rev 13:5,7:   "And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation."
Reason on this: If the "man of lawlessness" has been exposed as present in the religions of the world, how are the anointed "saints"  to be overcome by the potential unity of the Catholic religion with other "abrahamic" religions?
Christ has already been removed as the Head of the anointed Body.  The "saints" are ruled over and judged by the GB, and elders who "represent" them as priests.  When any of the anointed refuse to acknowledge the "image" of the organization as "spirit-directed", they are spiritually "killed".  Rev 13:14-18
You are being deceived.  Rev 19:20; 20:7-10

JWs!  WHY do you continually make the comparison of the GB to Moses, an inspired prophet who received messages directly from God?  Moses spoke of the prophet to come, as God’s Son! It is HIS teachings that we are to adhere to:
17 “And the Lord said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.”   Deut 18:17-19
If there were to be 7,8,12 men to lead God’s people in the remaining days as Moses did, where does Jesus Christ fit in?  The organization has raised up another “Moses”; one who presents teachings that repeatedly fall short of pure truth.
20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, (the organization) that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Your “frail and imperfect men” sit in the seat of Moses.  They have put themselves there, and are comfortable misleading all JWs to believe it.  Now I clearly see a distinct connection of “false Messiahs” that deceive the “saints”/anointed and companions in the last days, as the organization’s GB.
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  (“elect” – “chosen by God” – Isa 43:10; 1 Pet 2:9)  Matt 24:24
If they are to mislead God’s chosen people, they must also speak of Jesus and some truth, right?  Paul warned that Jesus’ teachings would be twisted:
3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
“other than the Jesus we preached” – the apostles never compared themselves to Moses.  They spoke continually of Christ and the Father.
“a different gospel” – the WT has become your safety net, your salvation.  Never did the apostles preach “organization” as one’s salvation.  On the contrary, they taught:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12
These "frail and imperfect men" do not have a "hope" they will be in heaven - they state they WILL be in heaven.
Gerrit Losch:  “To appreciate the extent of Jehovah’s and Jesus’ trust in the faithful slave reflect on what he has promised its members. He has promised them immortality and incorruption. Soon, JUST BEFORE ARMAGEDDON the remaining members of the slave will be taken to heaven.”
Are these men truly false messiahs?  Yes. They have already judged themselves as worthy to rule in heaven.  From what I read in the scriptures, that judgement is left in the hands of the true Messiah.  Matt 25:14-30

Your governing body has stated they are still roaming about searching for truth, so someone has to warn others of satans use of the jehovahs witnesses to lead people away from God. So some of us aren't really opposer's, we are warning the world of satans schemes.

Witness got a reaction from Foreigner in "WALKING WITH THE ORGANIZATION"
Except for some time-consuming events, my husband and I have traveled across the heart of the state of Nevada, numerous times per year, for the last fifteen years. It can be a long, lonely jaunt, but with periods of peace. We know where to look for herds of sheep wandering freely without fences, taking their time in maneuvering to a fresh crop of grass on other side of the highway. We’ve witnessed rogue sheepdogs seemingly searching for their flock. We’ve got it down where the elk hang out, the pronghorn, as well as the long straight stretches that we wish would end sooner than they do. I know I’ve seen every sign along that highway; but their appearance doesn’t always register in the brain. During this last trip, one rather small sign took on a different meaning for me. Besides highway markers pointing to the major natural attractions, there are minor signs directing the way to areas such as Fish Creek, Robert’s Creek, Duckwater; and the one that caught my eye on this last journey, Blind Valley. What was someone’s reason for naming it such? Is it a valley hidden from the view of the highway? Was it a land purchase made sight unseen? Most likely, fish are found in Fish Creek, ducks are found at Duckwater. Robert might even be found at Robert’s Creek. Could it be that someone blind, lives in Blind Valley?
How well the name “Blind Valley” designates a symbolic valley where multitudes within it are found to be spiritually blind - the Bible’s “valley of decision”.
“Come quickly, all you nations from every side,
    and assemble there.
    Bring down your warriors, Lord!
    12 “Let the nations be roused;
let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat,
    for there I will sit
to judge all the nations on every side.
    13 Swing the sickle,
    for the harvest is ripe.
    Come, trample the grapes,
    for the winepress is full
    and the vats overflow—
    so great is their wickedness!”
    14 Multitudes, multitudes
    in the valley of decision!
For the day of the Lord is near
in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:11-14
During this war of Armageddon, the “abundant” or “great number” found in this valley of decision, have chosen to remain spiritually blind to the truth presented before them. God’s final judgment that they face, involves their choice of teachings derived from anointed ones who speak truth or lies; lasting, good “fruit”, or rotten fruit from bad “trees”; spiritually equipped either with God’s Spirit or that of Satan’s, to battle against their opponent. (Matt 7:20; Eph 6:12-17; Rev 16:13,14;17:14; 19:11)
The question is, why would someone desire to remain blind to God’s truth, resulting in permanent blindness? (Matt 13:14,15,16; 2 Cor 4:4; 1 Tim 4:1,2)
How does one’s heart become a “weed” during this final harvest? (Matt 13:24-29)
The following quote may help reveal why. It is taken from an interview with a JW last month, on the organization’s broadcasting channel. He states:
“The ambitions that I had before, that may have been obtainable, became second place. Now it was to have a simple life, to walk with the organization and to raise my children in the truth”.
Does this statement portray the general feeling of JWs? I think so, otherwise they would readily accept the choice to leave the organization and serve God without it, and without the repercussion of shunning. Yet, we know doing so, is not a simple decision to accept. (Dan 12:1; Matt 24:21; Rev 9:4-6) It has been made perfectly clear by its leaders, that without “moving ahead” with the organization, eternal life is not possible. (2 Cor 11:4; Col 2:8)
So, undoubtedly, it is perceived that ‘walking with the organization’ and bearing its brand on one’s mind and heart, equates with walking with God in truth. (Isa 42:8; Jer 2:8; Deut 11:18; Rev 13:4,16) Doing so, keeps the decisions as a faithful member of the organization, “simple”, no matter what fallacies may be taught throughout the years. (Jer 18:15; 2:13)
The weapon used by Satan in this war of truth against lies, is the organization; constructed with one purpose, to mislead and subsequently persecute the “remaining ones of the woman’s seed”. (Gen 3:15; Dan 11:10; 12:4; 8:15,17; Rev 1:1; 20:7-9)
A hunter uses camouflage to disguise himself from the prey. A bird hunter also uses decoys to attract the prey into believing he is joining in with his fellow birds. How naive it is, to believe Satan would not also utilize a bait of truth and the tactic of disguise, using elements at his fingertips. This allows him to build a decoy on the grandest scale possible in his realm. (Amos 3:5; Ps 140:4,5; Prov 22:5; Rev 9:3,10)
He has successfully created a delusion to sift each anointed heart as “wheat”, which our God of justice, allows to occur. (Amos 9:9; 2 Thess 2:10-12) His “ministers of light” call it, “the truth”. (2 Pet 2:2; Rev 13:5,6)
“sift”: “shake in a sieve”/”inward agitation to try one's faith to the verge of overthrow”
If we give in to “walking with the organization”, our faith in God has been overthrown – conquered.
Let’s compare the JWs’s testimony with scripture. To God’s authentic anointed “witnesses”, He declares,
    I, I am YHVH,
and there is no other Savior but Me.
I ALONE declared, saved, and proclaimed—
and not some foreign god among you.
    So you are My witnesses”—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
“and I am God.” Isa 43:11,12
Although he may speak of God, the man interviewed revealed what lies in the deep-seated intentions of his heart. (Matt 15:18,19; Luke 6:45) It is evident that it is idolatry toward an organization.  He believes he cannot obtain eternal life without it.
Isa 43:11,12 speaks of a “foreign god”, with a footnote that refers to “foreigners”. There are “foreigners/foreign gods among God’s true “witnesses”, His Temple priesthood. (Jer 2:11) They have secured the priesthood from whom it rightly belongs. (Isa 51:23; Mark 13:14; Rev 11:1,2)
Their magnified presence signifies the very organization that JWs adhere to. (Exod 20:5; Rev 13:15) It is the elder body, the “Gentile” “man of lawlessness” that opposes “and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” (2 Thess 2:4; 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22)
Left unchecked, Satan’s ruse would fully “devour Jacob”. (Jer 10:23-25)
Only a remnant is prophesied to survive. (Isa 10:19; Amos 7:1,2; Rev 9:3,4; 3:18;7:13-15)
The JW interviewed puts his faith in an organization built by spiritually unqualified men. (Num 18:7; 2 Chron 13:9; Ezek 44:7-9) He has allowed it to trap, rule over, and lead him into serving a “foreign god”.
“But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block (“to place a trap”) in front of the Israelites: to eat meat sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.” Rev 2:14
This is an act of blasphemy against YHVH and His decrees concerning His Temple. (Dan 11:31; 1 Cor 3:16,17) If we are to envision this idolatry, it must be our heart’s desire to love God and His decrees, over those of men. (Exod 34:14; 2 Tim 4:3; Tit 1:9)

    As each prophet/"tree" bears "fruit"/teachings,
and this war of words escalates; God foresaw that the ruling wicked would persecute the faithful, on the basis of false doctrines (Matt 24:49; Ezek 38:21; 1 John 3:12; Rev 13:15; 11:3,7; 16:13,14; 17:14; 19:11,14; 6:9,11; John 16:2; Matt 5:11,12; 23:37; Acts 7:52; Rev 11:8; Dan 7:21,23,25; Dan 8:12)
The faithful retaliate with the sword of God's Word of Truth. (Dan 11:32,33; 2 Cor 10:4,5; 6:7; Heb 4:12; Eph 6:17; Rev 19:19,15,20; 11:5,3,4)
As this battle between truth and lies occurs, the final harvest/judgment of "fruit"/teachings/words occurs (Matt 12:36,37,34,35; Prov 18:21; Matt 7:17) in the symbolic "valley of decision" (Heb 4:13; Rom 14:12; 2 Cor 5:10; Prov 16:4; Rev 22:12; Dan 7:22).
Pearl Doxsey – “What is Armageddon?”
Should anyone earnestly yearn to know Christ’s authentic truths, they would be granted that understanding. Those who choose to remain in darkness, close-minded to God’s decrees, are among the blind judged in the valley of decision.
Hades when translated, means "not perceiving". It is the consignment of all those born under sin, and means to be under a blanket of spiritual darkness, ignorance, and confusion. Only those granted light, truth, and understanding, are figuratively rescued from the realm of Hades.

When Jesus tells us that he has the keys to Hades/Abyss... this means that he has the power and authority to release whom he chooses, from spiritual darkness... and transfer them into his kingdom of light and life (Col 1:13; Luke 8:10) those who are repentant. Jesus also has the authority and power to lock up others... or to leave them there, in ignorance and spiritual darkness (Matt 13:10,11,13-16; Jude 1:13; John 12:35) those hard-hearted who are not repentant. Such ones remain under the authority and power of the Devil (2 Cor 4:4; John 3:18).
When Rev 20:1 tells us that the chain of restraint that Jesus possesses is "great"; this points to the ability of Jesus, to prevent understanding and perception among the blind, but proud (John 9:41). When Jesus wraps that symbolic chain around the Devil, and then casts the Devil into the Abyss/Hades... this depicts for us, Satan's blind inability to mislead those whom Jesus rescues from darkness... because it is now Satan who is overcome by the blind confusion of his own realm.
Jesus also shares his keys to release from the abyss (or bind in chains of ignorance) (Matt 16:19; 18:18), those whom his enlightened brothers judge as repentant (John 20:23) and worthy of the treasures of truth which they are empowered by Jesus, to impart (Matt 10:7,11-14; 7:6).
    Rev 20:1

Idolatry among Israel happened continually. (2 Kings 17:9; Judges 10:13-16; Neh 9:26,28; Hos 1:1,2; Jer 2:28; Ps 78:35-37) Today’s spiritual “Israel” and companions in the organization have also blindly fallen into idolatry, by ‘walking with the organization’. It is a “god” possibly not previously known, before dedicating themselves at baptism and serving this god through their necessary, various activities laid out for them by a Harlot/false prophet. (Matt 24:11,12; Luke 21:8; 2 Thess 2:1-3; 2 Pet 2:1-3; Rev 13:11-14,16-18)
“If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a *sign or wonder to you, 2 and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but he says, ‘Let us follow other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us worship them,’ 3 do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. 4 You must follow the Lord your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged *rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the Lord your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.” Deut 13:1-5
The organization appears as an apparent ‘simple’, wide open, welcoming door; yet, it if one chooses to remain blind to its true intention, it will lead to one’s downfall. (Luke 13:22-27; John 10:9,10 )
“Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the *rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of *false miracles, signs, and wonders, 10 and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.” 2 Thess 2:3,9,10
“Mankind, He has told you what is good
and what it is the Lord requires of you:
    to act justly,
    to love faithfulness,
and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

WALKING WITH THE ORGANIZATION CANNOT EQUATE TO WALKING WITH GOD.
“Take delight in the Lord, and HE will give you your heart’s desires”. Ps 37:4

Witness got a reaction from Matthew9969 in FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH MATERIAL RICHES?
    The WT publication continues:
Jesus also says that those who are faithful in caring for and using whatever riches or material things they have will be faithful in caring for matters of greater importance. “Therefore,” Jesus points out, “if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with the unrighteous riches, who will entrust you with what is true [such as Kingdom interests]?”—Luke 16:11.
Jesus is showing his disciples that much will be asked of them if they are to be received “into the everlasting dwelling places.” One cannot be a true servant of God and at the same time be a slave to unrighteous, material riches.
If 8 million people are handing over material riches to one entity, who is it that is a slave to material riches?  It is the people who operate the entity, and who convince the 8 million people, that a “true servant of God” will do so, since the entity states their eternal lives depend…on the entity.  Although, the 8 million people have also become slaves to material riches, which are bound up in the entity that they believe will lead them to eternal life.
This is idolatry.  Exod 23:13; Jonah 2:8; Ps 16:4; Acts 17:29; Rom 1:25
    “They lift it upon the shoulder and carry it;
They set it in its place (in one’s mind and heart) and it stands there.
It does not move from its place.
    Though one may cry to it, it cannot answer;
It cannot deliver him from his distress.  Isa 46:7
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matt 11:28-30
A comment made a few years back...
The meaning of unrighteous riches can be seen in 1 Cor 4:8 –  “You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us—and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you!”
This steward was cutting the debts owed to the Master, Jesus, using practical “earthly” wisdom to save his own soul, but he had no authority to do so.  Each anointed in God’s house owe the Master a debt.  Thus, the steward’s wisdom is centered not on the Kingdom, as a son of light, but on acquiring power and authority over all in God’s House, as a “son of this system of things”.
If this steward was to ‘make friends’ by sharing authority with all in the house, he would later be judged by his fellow servants, as faithful.  John 20:23
Jesus requires each servant of his house to give obedience to him only, not to one who thrives on “unrighteous riches”, who assumes the Master’s belongings are in his control.   John 14:23,15; 8:51; 15:10; 1 John 2:5
It is true that when one exercises power and authority over others, material, worldly wealth come along with it.  Ezek 16:14,15; Jer 2:20; Rev 2:21; 17:4; 18:3,7,12-14
But never did Jesus give the indication that material wealth could gain one advantage into the Kingdom. We know his entire message was to follow him, leaving behind anyone and anything, for his name’s sake.  By doing so, he promised those would receive “a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life”.  Matt 19:29
    Matt 19:16-14; 18:16-24
Jesus’ parable of the steward in Luke 16:1-15 and the wicked slave in Matt 18:31-35 harmonize in giving a clear picture of the present day situation of undue authority over God’s house by the self-proposed “faithful and discreet slave”, assuming command through the use of tyrannical “unrighteous riches”.

You really didn't answer my question.  The scriptures you gave me speak of Paul.  Now, you seem to be comparing the GB with an apostle.  Sir, this is impossible.  Paul was an inspired prophet who is part of the foundation of God’s Temple.  1 Cor 12:28; Eph 2:20-22; 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17
The GB are “inspired” false prophets, and part of the foundation of an organization.  Matt 16:18; 7:24-27; Rev 13:11-17
I believe it is the GB that need to get over themselves.  I understand that they are now to be called "faithful and prudent".  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  This is really an interesting turn, since scripture reveals even more clearly, who they are.
      Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
        who put darkness for light,
        and light for darkness;
    who put bitter for sweet,
        and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine,
        and champions at mixing strong drink;
23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
but deny justice for the innocent!  (Matt 24:48-51)
24 Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble,
and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame,
so their root shall be as rottenness,
and their blossom shall go up as dust,
because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies,
and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.  Isa 5:20-24

    “They lift it upon the shoulder and carry it;
They set it in its place (in one’s mind and heart) and it stands there.
It does not move from its place.
    Though one may cry to it, it cannot answer;

    Chapter 87
"Only Jehovah God and his Son can receive someone into the heavenly Kingdom or the Paradise on earth under that Kingdom. We should diligently cultivate friendship with them by using what material riches we have in supporting Kingdom interests. Our everlasting future will thus be assured when gold, silver, and other material riches fail or perish."
This is saying we can buy, with material riches,  a friendship with God and Christ.  We can buy, with material riches, our way to eternal life. Do you believe this, JWs?
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.  Matt 6:24
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”  When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”  Matt 19:21-26
Jesus didn't say give to an organization that is highly developed and ready to expand to twice its present size.    He said, give to the poor, to those in need.   You've been duped into believing that donating to the organization will secure your "everlasting future".  Does the Bible say anywhere that money is necessary to gain eternal life?  Perhaps, money is necessary to feed the dreams of men and their expanding organization.  Perhaps money is necessary to feed an idol that promises salvation.  Rom 1:25; Rev 13:1,4,8
Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.   This too is meaningless.  Eccl 5:10
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.  1 Tim 6:17-19
Do not love the world nor the things in the world If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.  1 John 2:15-17
The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.”  Luke 16:14
Can we secure a friendship with the Father and Christ with material riches - money - when it is said...
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  1 Tim 6:10

Witness reacted to James Thomas Rook Jr. in DATELINE, 0CTOBER 8, 2019 SUPREME COURT REJECTS WATCHTOWER APPEAL ON SEX ABUSE CASE
The Supreme Court Rejected a Case About the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Sex Abuse
By Hemant Mehta October 8, 2019   Yesterday, the Supreme Court announced that it would not take up a wild case concerning the organization that oversees the Jehovah’s Witnesses. We can breathe a huge sigh of relief that the case won’t be overturned. (In that link, it’s case 19-40 on page 42.)

The case, which involved child molestation and religious secrecy, centered around an incident that took place on July 15, 2006.
J.W., a nine-year-old girl with Jehovah’s Witness parents, was invited to her first slumber party at the home of Gilbert Simental. He had a daughter her age, so that wasn’t too weird. Two other girls (sisters) were also at the party. These families all knew and trusted Simental because, while he was no longer a local Witness leader, he had spent more than a decade as an elder in the faith. He was a religious leader who stepped down, he said, to spend more time with his son. They believed him. They all respected him. It’s why they allowed their girls into his home.
During that party, everyone got into a pool in the backyard… including Simental. And he proceeded to molest J.W. and the sisters. He did it again later that night. The sisters eventually told their parents, who reported Simental to local Witness elders (which is what they’re taught to do in these situations).
Simental confessed to some of the allegations, and the elders basically gave him a faith-based slap on the wrist: a reprimand that had no meaning outside church circles.
Things changed only when the sisters’ school principal learned about what happened and, as required by law, reported the abuse to local law enforcement. Police soon contacted J.W.’s family asking for their story, but after consulting with the Witnesses, her father chose not to speak with the cops.
It was a year later when J.W., then 10 years old, told her parents what Simental did to her in the pool. It infuriated them, and they told the Witness elders that they wanted a restraining order against him. The elders told him not to do that since it would require informing the police about what Simental did — and they preferred to keep his actions private.
Here’s the bigger problem: There’s reason to believe the Witnesses were aware that Simental was a child molester… and they kept it from the families. Simental was allowed to be a religious leader — earning respect from the community — even though higher-ups in the religion knew that he shouldn’t be around children.
It raised an important question: How much blame did the Witnesses deserve for what happened at that pool party?
J.W.’s family eventually filed a criminal lawsuit against Simental and a separate civil suit against the Watchtower Society (the Witnesses’ governing organization). They basically said the Witnesses should have informed congregation members about Simental and stopped him from being around children. They never should have allowed him to be a religious leader.
The Watchtower Society’s argument? They didn’t know Simental was a child molester, and the pool party occurred after he was no longer a religious leader, and the slumber party wasn’t a church-sponsored event, so leave them out of this.
(To be clear, I’m simplifying the details of this case and the legal journey quite a bit.)
When this case went to trial in California, J.W.’s family demanded that the Watchtower Society produce documents relating to what they knew about child molesters within the faith. The Witnesses had already admitted to keeping lists of problematic leaders along with their specific “crimes” — similar to the Catholic Church. If Simental was on that list — from 1997, nearly a decade before the pool incident — it would essentially be a smoking gun showing the Witnesses knew he was a threat to kids but did nothing about it.
But the Witnesses refused to hand over that material. They treated it like Catholics treat confession: It’s private information, they argued, and to reveal what was said internally would violate their religious beliefs.
J.W.’s family didn’t buy that argument. The information they wanted wasn’t bound by clergy-penitent confessional privilege. It’s not like Simental told the elders what he had done in order to confess his sins. He was caught. The Witnesses were merely shielding him from legal punishment.
In the criminal trial, Witnesses elders were forced to admit their practices and that the private discussions they had about abusive clergy members were not considered confidential under the law.
Mark O’Donnell, writing at JWSurvey, explained what happened next:

Simental’s appeal got him nowhere. He’s in prison today. But there were still so many questions about what responsibility the Witnesses had in this whole matter.
J.W.’s family wanted to know why Simental, a known pedophile, was promoted within the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Why did they allow him to be around children? Why didn’t they warn families? Why did they just give him a slap on the wrist?
In 2013, the civil trial began against the Watchtower Society, but again, the Witnesses didn’t want to provide necessary documents. They eventually lost the case. In 2015, the Riverside Superior Court of California awarded J.W. a judgment of $4,016,152.39. This past December, the Fourth District Court of Appeal in California upheld that decision.
You get the idea: The Witnesses refused to hand over internal data, presumably because it would’ve been like handing over a loaded gun. So the courts had no choice but to assume the plaintiff was telling the truth and the Watchtower Society was negligent in their handling of Simental.
Earlier this year, in a Hail Mary attempt to reverse their punishment, the Watchtower Society appealed to the Supreme Court. They wanted the justices to say that documents relating to child abuse within a religious group can be kept confidential.
Here’s how the Witnesses’ attorney introduced his case to the justices. (You don’t need a law degree to see how he just completely dismissed the molestation.)
Watchtower attorney Paul Polidoro said the Supreme Court needed to consider whether California violated the Constitution when it held the Jehovah’s Witnesses responsible for what Simental did “during non-church activity,” forced them to hand over internal communications, and punished them for protecting everyone’s “privacy rights.”
J.W.’s attorney responded to that brief asking the Court to flat-out reject this case.
Indeed, that’s what the Court decided. When the first set of orders in the new term was released yesterday, there was this case among many many others, in the list of those which would not get heard this term.

It was the right move. There’s nothing further to debate here. Finally, this case has been put to rest.

Witness got a reaction from Foreigner in JW OPPOSERS GROUPS
Dear JWI, I know you are fairly aware of what I believe, so hopefully I don't get too carried away here.
I do not have nearly the knowledge of scripture that Pearl has.  Inspiration of Holy Spirit among anointed is not a rare thing.  On the contrary, those who remain “in Christ” would be inspired to speak according to scripture – according to the direction the Holy Spirit would lead them.  Although it is “one Spirit”, each member of the anointed body would reveal its workings through the gifts individually given them. 1 Cor 12:7  Pearl’s gift benefits the other members – and all who care to listen -  in an exclusive way. 1 Cor 12:11
I don’t think I would call those who have been disfellowshipped or shunned after say, 10-50 years spent in the organization, as “immature Witnesses”.  The authority over JWs, is an iron fist in a velvet glove.  The impact may not be felt, not perceived, until one stands up against its leaders.  Surely, you know that people who speak against a “leadership” for misguiding individuals with wrong teachings or expectations, put their lives at risk.  Those who do so in the organization, are the “mature ones”, who take hold of their own spiritual lives. They realize our judgment of eternal life or death comes from Christ. Rom 14:10 The assumed authority by men to judge people as spiritually “dead”, according to a big thick manual, (that is considered “confidential”) is frightening, isn’t it?  To accept such authority (or 'leadership') over JWs, when the organization digs in their heals to resist facing their own sins, is hypocrisy. How can love spring forth from a leadership of hypocrisy?
I so wish you could consider the “weightier matters” that I know you see, instead of justifying and making amends for the existence of the *organization, by straining out the gnat and swallowing a *camel.  Matt 23:23,24
I’m curious how the Bible reveals that an earthly organization in Satan’s realm, could possibly be used as a tool for Christ’s Kingdom interests.  Christ and Satan are enemies.  Why would Christ utilize power, authority, and material interests that are all that Satan lusts after, and freely gives others who desire it, (as the “ruler of this world” John 12:31)… to embellish his Kingdom interests?  Luke 4:5-7
John 18:36: Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
His only interest is in the hearts of individuals.  If we submit individually to his authority, we become a “kingdom interest”.  Luke 17:21  It doesn’t take an organization to do this.
About trees and fruit.  Genesis mentions two trees. Gen 2:9 The tree that Eve eventually “ate” from, produced death. Rom 5:12  Satan offered her a lie, and she not only accepted it, but shared this lie with Adam.  BOTH lost the gift of life.    Jesus, as the Word of life, is the “tree” of life.  Gen 3:22; John 1:1,14
He told us how we are to “eat” from the tree of life:
"Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”  John 6:57
“For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”  John 6:33,34
Through our obedience to his teachings, he says:
"Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”  Rev 2:7 (also 22:14)
Since Christ is the Head of the anointed Body, his bodily members are also considered “trees”.  We know there would be no deviance, no misleading word or teaching coming from the mouth of Christ, since each word he spoke, contained life.  John 14:6  There is no “bad fruit” that Christ would produce.  So too, should it be with the anointed “trees” (or, branches of the vine) that are to “remain in him” – receiving the same Holy Spirit.  John 15:4; Mark 11:24; John 14:26
The anointed must learn, from their Head, Christ.  It is only then that they also, can produce lasting “fruit”/teachings sourced from Holy Spirit.  John 6:56; Mal 2:7
Well, could you be ignoring what Jesus taught about a “good tree”?  Would you be justifying WT’s teachings by doing so? He didn’t say both bad and good fruit are found on a good tree. Matt 7:18; 12:33
“For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit”  Luke 6:43
Surely, since the Pharisees knew the law, there were good things that they taught the people (Matt 23:3),  but they were not considered by John the Baptist as a tree that imparted “good fruit”.  Matt 3:7-10
There is a clear distinction between what is good and what is bad in the Bible.  A “good” anointed tree would be found trustworthy to produce “fruit” sourced in Christ – always reliable, always lasting, teachings that always are able to be built upon.    John 15:16  If an anointed one misleads his hearers with a worthless piece of fruit – a “teaching” that he said is from God but is now discarded, how is this any different than the lie Satan told Eve?  Dear JWI, you are believing that “surely we will not die” because it is okay to accept doctrine from the leaders of “Jehovah’s organization” that was absolutely, a lie to begin with.
Satan is “sifting” all of us by using “teachings”/words/lies, from his own bodily members - his “ministers of light”. Luke 22:31; 2 Cor 11:13-15  This is why, during the last days both truth and lies are presented by anointed “trees”/ “kings of the earth”.  Rev 1:5; 19:16,19  Which “tree” of those “kings" we choose to listen to, is what our heart desires.  Matt 10:40-42; 15:18; 2 Thess 2:9-12
In the Kingdom, along with the “tree of life”, are found his “trees”/Bride:
Ezek 47:12 -- "All kinds of trees providing food will grow along both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. Each month they will bear fresh fruit because the water comes from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be used for food and their leaves for medicine."
Rev 22:17 - “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”
John 7:38 - "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
    And...I got carried away.

1 Tim 6:10

Do you have the ability to peer into my private worship given to God?  Do you have the ability to know who I worship with?     I didn't think so.
What do you do besides slander opposers?
Could you please provide scripture that proves he is rejecting my behavior?

No, Arauna, I was a wallflower in the organization.  I was obedient to those who supposedly were watching over my soul.  I am now obedient to Christ; and will continue to expose the WT and the GB for who they are, and how they fulfill prophesy about God's people in the last days.  I am sure they know who I am now, and keep track of what Pearl, myself and others say, about their spiritual ruse.   If I could take every JW by the hand and drag them out of the organization, I would.  What you translate as OCD, hate and bitterness, is absolute fear and dread for your spiritual lives.  Rev 11:1-3
I just read this sobering quote by Mark Twain:  “It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”
Your statement that I quoted was well made, yet you cannot see that it applies directly, to the men whom you believe are leading you to salvation.

Addition - I no longer "fear" men.  God did not arrange the Body of Christ - a body of "bond servants" who are under one Head, and who are to cherish each of its members - only to expect a group of them to wield authoritative power over the others.  Jesus warned his disciples not to be this way.   1 Cor 12:12-26  Now, we have an organization with "rulers" who fail in their teachings and still expect obedience; as if the GB is the Head of the anointed Body of Christ!   I wish you could see that this defies God's word.  It defies Christ's teachings.  Luke 22:24-27
To say that a person who turns his back on men and their organization;  and instead, turns fully toward God and Christ, is the one at fault, shows just how powerful and successful the GB and elder body's rule over JWs, has evolved.
    "The Lord confides in those who fear Him;
He makes his covenant known to them.
My eyes are ever on the Lord,
for only He will release my feet from the snare."  Ps 25:14,15

Anyone on the outside of your cult can clearly see that your governing body are the ones blaspheming Jehovah by claiming they are Him, selling false prophecies in His name, changing/reversing doctrine in His name, killing others in His name. Your governing body has said they are Gods mouthpiece.
Jehovah is perfection, Jehovah would not give the governing body information one day, then a few years later tell the governing body that that information was false/wrong and had new information.
Your governing body is calling Jehovah an imperfect being, and you worship them so you are as guilty as your governing body.
My God is a mighty perfect God, not found in a building or a group of men.

    Hi Allen.
Well, we have two sort of Interpretations here.
First is interpretations on Bible verses ...... and next is interpretations on WT verses.
Also we have dilemma (you don't have that dilemma :))))).
    1) Who is authorized to interpret Bible verses?
    2) Who is authorized to interpret WT literature?
    :)))

Have you thought of writing the GB about this?
“In the past, we thought that the great tribulation began in 1914 when World War I started. We thought that Jehovah “cut short” those days in 1918 when the war ended so that the remaining anointed ones on earth could preach the good news to all nations. (Matthew 24:21, 22) After that preaching work would be completed, we expected that Satan’s world would be destroyed. So we thought that there were three parts to the great tribulation. It would begin in 1914, it would be interrupted in 1918, and it would finish at Armageddon.”
Then we realized that a part of Jesus’ prophecy about the last days has two fulfillments. (Matthew 24:4-22) It was fulfilled in the first century in the district of Judea. And in our day there would be a much larger fulfillment that would happen in the whole earth. So we needed to change the way we understood some parts of the prophecy.”   ws13 7/15 p. 3-4
No one, knows how to “run ahead”/"push ahead" better than the Watchtower leaders.  Which means, according to the scriptures you used, God does not have their back.

By giving wrong interpretations and by REDIRECTING the word of JHVH, what do you think Arauna, is that also rebellion and sort of using "magical power"? GB said that they are chosen to interpret what JHVH and Jesus meant by this or that verse written in Bible. Obviously, they make impression on other ordinary people, so called Am-Harets, how "magical power" is in their hands and that such "power" comes from God.
Do you by this saying: GB have self regulation, and we all other need to have self censure?

Every time I hear any counsel against "running ahead", I think ... running ahead of what ... or who?
It's important that we differentiate from "running ahead" of the words of the Bible, which results in "old light", touted as "new light" ... until "newer light"  comes out, of which many of us old-timers have seen so much of that it seems like a disco lounge strobe light.
I think running ahead of the pontifical pronouncements of the WTB&TS management is quite a different issue than running ahead of Jehovah God, or completely unambiguous scripture.
But ... it seems to me, as individuals, that if you are in the race for life, which should be secondary to serving Jehovah God just because he is worthy of service, and obedience, and honor .... that it's better to be ahead of the race, instead of behind the race.
    Why not as an organization?
Because If we as individuals are wrong, only we "pay the price" of being wrong, and have to bear the consequences.\
If we as an organization are wrong, we as individuals STILL have to pay the full price for being wrong  .... times 8 million people ... and the perpetrators pay NO PRICE WHATSOEVER.
Everybody knows that in a horse race ... ONE of the horses is going to win.
Which one, makes all the difference in the world.
A three legged horse with motivation, spunk, desire and the best behaved horse in the whole pack of runners may be all of that and more ... but for sane people, that is not the way to bet.
There is also the issue of intellectual integrity ... but that is another topic.
In over a hundred and five years of recorded experience of watching "OUR" horse run ... what track record do we have to use as a basis for credibility?
For core truths discerned ... arguably about 95%.
For mountains of drivel, false prophesies, bogus types and anti-types, and silliness and pronouncements that defy all common sense, perhaps somewhere around 85%, with 15% having real value, or at a minimum, even making some form of common sense.
And of course, being obviously flat WRONG, when simple human common sense could have avoided that.
SO ... basically the WTB&TS position is that THEY can run ahead all they want, and if we do not believe what they come up with, we can be disfellowshipped and have our and our family's lives ruined ...... but if WE run ahead we can ALSO be disfellowshipped and have our and our family's lives ruined.
.... and no matter what they do ... no matter how egregious ... the money keeps rolling in, and they NEVER apologize for anything.
