    :)))
A lot has been said, because a lot of it has been written about 1975 in WTJWorg publications.
There is no need to explain this from me, because it is the rhetoric that is widely used by GB and WTJWorg.
But you haven't become a "Truther" yet, have you?
You have a lot of difficulty in various forms of perception, while you put other people in boxes that you shape yourself of your choice, don't you? Even Dmitar warned me about your modus operandi.
WT exposes itself by exposing its past by blaming its own flock of sheep for alleged rumors that the flock began to spread on its own.
It is absurd to believe in GB claim that JW sheep started bleating about 1975 unprovoked. The then and present WTJWorg administration is a church hierarchy that does not allow anything to happen beyond their control.
And today you are trying to sell us the claim that these were some insignificant or semi-insignificant JW rank and file members who started mass hysteria (rumors) of such magnitude that even today WTJWorg publications have to write about it on the pages of WT magazine that is studied at JW meetings ? If 8 million JWs have to read and discuss this in meetings today because GB decided it was important for today's JWs to learn, then it's hard to accept your thesis that it was just rumors that were the product of the intellectual incompetence of a few JWs from period before 1975.

This is what I suggest.  Buy yourself a 25 piece puzzle on Amazon, and practice putting it together until you see the entire picture on the box.   Then, revisit 1975, put the pieces - all of the Wt  articles pertaining to 1975, together, and you will see the entire picture.  (but you already know that)
Better yet, find a JW who sold his house around 1975, and forfeited his job to prepare for Armageddon.  Ask him, if he believed the organization's leaders told him that 1975 was the date for Armageddon.  (you already know his answer)
If you can't envision the "picture" puzzle, or you don't believe the JW, you are either blind, hard of hearing, a liar, or a manipulator -  for whatever reason, only you know.

    Dear Dmitar, dear Allen,
Who are you trying to protect?  What are you defending?  The sly way the leadership promoted, but didn't promote, a date for Armageddon to come?  Isn't that called hypocrisy?   Is this how Jesus expects those whom he sends, to teach his sheep?  John 13:20

What do you think Armageddon means to JWs?  It means the destruction of the "world" as they know it.  Analyze the first paragraph, with eyes open.

So the WTJWorg organization solely led by the Holy Spirit along with all the JW people in it fell victim to “rumors”?
How is this possible when JWs are the only people who are “spiritually awake” from long past,  while the whole world sleeps in “false dreams”?

You can live it, breathe it, sweat over it, anticipate it, sell your house, land, belongings - and be complimented for the trust and faith you put toward the leadership of men and the direction of “Jehovah’s organization” – you can be a child of parents who received the praise for their faithfulness, and suffered the consequences later as they scraped to provide for their family -  but that testimony means nothing to SM.
Not until a JW leaves and expresses that 1975 was another false prediction made by the Wt, does SM then take note.  That person becomes the liar, according to him, because Wt never said specifically, these words: ARMAGEDDON WILL ARRIVE IN THE FALL OF 1975.  The leaders manipulated the time period and the date.  They built up the hype in every way possible without targeting themselves (the upper echelon leaders) as the instigators. They condemned those who later left, because of the failure.
Manipulation is a serious sin according to God. (2 Cor 11:13-15) It is called “lying signs and wonders”.  (Matt 24:24; 2 Thess 2:9)  It is blatant deceit; so to call the person a liar who can plainly see through the manipulation, tells me that the accuser who excuses the manipulation, and instead focuses on the person who knows more about living through it, or living under the umbrella of lying signs and wonders...shows that the accuser, could also be a manipulator.
Can a wolf, cry wolf?  Of course!  They howl as a form of communication.

For those that have been on the ARCHIVE for many years, we remember that what has been said about this if it was assembled and stapled  together it would be about  a 1000 page book.

Everything that has been said or could’ve been said has been said, over and over and over and over. Then it’s been rephrased a dozen times In a dozen different ways and that has been resaid over and over.
in a dozen different ways and that has been resaid over and over.
It’s real simple for me, because I was there and I watched it happen from California to the Congo and in the state of Virginia in the middle.

The battle cry was “stay alive till ‘75”
.…. which, surprisingly, I’ve been able to manage, so far.

Aren't JWs told to look to the leadership comprised of men, for guidance? Haven't they told JWs they must trust them because God does?  Who are you fooling but yourself?  It is a wise person that gets off a crooked path.  Prov 2:11-15  It is a wise person who can see how such a leadership has ridiculed the word of God.  (Eccl 1:15; James 1:17)
The same men continued to lead JWs down a crooked road, after 1975.
If the wicked system of this world survived until the turn of the century (the year 2000), which is highly improbable in view of world trends and the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, there would still be survivors of the World War I generation. However, the fact that their number is dwindling is one more indication that "the conclusion of the system of things" is moving fast toward its end. (The Watchtower, Oct. 15, 1980, p. 31)
Those JWs who picked themselves up after the 1975 debacle, straightened their shoulders and prepared again for the of the world to come to an end, by the year 2000.  This is oppression to lies; it is an emotionally draining captivity to false expectations. Do you really think Jesus meant that this is how he would feed his sheep, when he said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"?  Matt 11:28
The Wt. continually creates situations that call for a spiritual adrenaline output, which runs people into the ground.  Any who realize this, have every right to reject what the leaders tell them - not in secret as JWs do here, but by standing up against lies, as Jesus Christ and the apostles did.  Since when did that change? When did it become a rule that a person cannot speak out against false teachings?  It became a rule when the Wt. was born. That type of "restorationism" is false doctrine, being "restored".   Matt 15:9
Adrenaline - "The secretion of adrenaline is a part of the human “fight or flight” response, the acute stress response to fear, perceived threat, or panic."      "...over time, persistent surges of adrenaline can damage your blood vessels, and elevate your risk of heart attacks or stroke. It can also result in anxiety, weight gain, headaches, and insomnia."
Isa 59:8 - They have not known the path of peace,
and there is no justice in their ways.
    They have made their roads crooked;
no one who walks on them will know peace.

Take for example one of the most important doctrines; The last days began in 1914. Jesus ’return is tied to 1914 because there was a war in heaven against Satan. It is a doctrine, derived from several "mysteries" contained in biblical passages about; 2520 days, 1260 days, day for year, seven times and the like, and  built with the help of "stellar minds".
Doctrine/s emerges from the "mystery" explained by some people. From the doctrine arises the "prophecy" foretold by Armageddon in this or that year, this or that period of time. How did the "overlapping generation" doctrine come about? In a similar way. What does the doctrinal interpretation of “generation” predict? Same again, Armageddon.
Two "separate" things can't stay alive without each other..... in WTJWorg World.

That “broken phone” game has a bunch of written text. So, your argument and illustration is meaningless.
Are you trying to say that people today are less prone to naivety than in the 1970s? And that today’s JWs think more with their head than their predecessors, so they’re more careful and don’t listen to GB enough? Today’s JWs have a unique circumstance compared to their 1970s predecessors, and that is; more information about WTJWorg. And an increasingly rich history (and present) of failed doctrines.

No, not the leadership, but I'm sure many were disfellowshipped after its failure, for speaking out against the leadership's folly, as well as their organization. They had "had it up to here", severing all devotion to Wt's "empty philosophy" (Col 2:8); yet received the lowest demotion possible, for rejecting delusions.  Jer 23:16
Funny thing isn't it, those who leave become the bad guy; while the instigators, the planners of the deceptive boondoggle, remain the good guys.
So, in other words, the leadership was practicing deception; a crime against God's decrees.   (Lev 19:11,12; Prov 19:9
"Whenever a sentence for a crime is not carried out swiftly, the human mind becomes determined to commit evil."  Eccl 8:11
God knows the end from the beginning. (Isa 46:10;Rev 22:14,15)
"A time will come when people will not listen to accurate teachings. Instead, they will follow their own desires and surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear."   2 Tim 4:3
Ahhh, so is this the scripture Fred Franz thought of, which enabled him to put the guilt on the rank and file?
"'Do you know why nothing happened in 1975?  Then, pointing at his audience, he shouted:  'It was because you expected something to happen'" (Apocalypse Delayed, Penton, 1986, p. 100)

Ah, I understand now. :)) Since no religion today bears the title the Apostolic Church, not even WTJWorg because they call themselves JW, that means there is no one true church today. According to you, the Biblical Unitarian is not true either because they are called BU and not AC.
I get it now this too. It is important to strive to follow (even in wrong way and with plenty of errors) to be true church. :))

I hope that when the "slave class" finally decides on who the "King of the North is THIS time, they will say in one short paragraph, with NO scriptural artillery barrage to back it up.
The theocratic landscape has acquired more craters than the surface of the moon.
They have ALWAYS gotten it wrong before, and I have been trying to pay very close attention for over 50 years, now.
.... but have had DAYS of us sitting all day at Assemblies to hear the scriptures and reasoning, and nuanced referencing ... and years of Assembly talks, and Watchtower articles, and hour long public talks ..... to absolutely PROVE, without any shadow of a doubt ... just WHO was ....... the "King of the North".
    Many times.
...and every time it changes, the cycle repeats.
They have ALWAYS been wrong before, so personally I would appreciate when the NEW explanation comes out ... it be something you could email me on a single page.
...or even better ... HALF a page.
Or even better ... a single paragraph.
Since it cannot POSSIBLY affect anything in real life down here on the ground ... that I can do anything about ... I would be HAPPY to accept ANYTHING the Governing Body says , at face value.
( I would even accept Caleb and Sophia as patron saints ... but PLEASE, spare me the "process" of why this would be true. )
Our Assembly Hall is in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and at my age, after a long Assembly in a hypnotic tone of voice,  I risk falling asleep at the wheel after a long drive, each way.
Getting "New Light" could LITERALLY ...  kill me and my wife!
To borrow a phrase from World War I .... I am shell shocked,.
... but I don't want to EVER hear any more about "Gog of Magog".

If it is true that "true Christians" go from house to house, literally, with good news, then yes, your work is stopped.
According to quotes bellow GB lead a double game. They can't be trusted.
    Can you be trusted?
However, it is only among Jehovah’s Witnesses that virtually all, young and old, male and female, participate year in, year out, in the house-to-house ministry. It is only Jehovah’s Witnesses who truly endeavor to reach all the inhabited earth with the Kingdom message, in obedience to the prophetic command at Matthew 24:14.
Because of the effectiveness of the house-to-house ministry, opposers in many lands have tried to stop it. In order to gain official respect for their right to preach from door to door, Jehovah’s Witnesses have appealed to government officials. Where necessary, they have gone to court in order to legally establish the right to spread the good news in this manner. (Phil. 1:7) And where repressive governments have persisted in forbidding such activity, Jehovah’s Witnesses have at times simply done it in a less conspicuous manner or, if necessary, used other means to reach people with the Kingdom message.
Although radio and television broadcasts have been used to spread the Kingdom message, Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize that the personal contact made possible by house-to-house calls is far more effective. It affords better opportunity to answer the questions of individual householders and to search out deserving ones. (Matt. 10:11) That is one of the reasons why, in 1957, the Watch Tower Society sold radio station WBBR in New York.

Web Sites of “Jehovah’s Witnesses”: Consider, for example, some Internet sites set up by individuals who claim to be Jehovah’s Witnesses. They invite you to visit their sites to read experiences posted by others who claim to be Witnesses. You are encouraged to share your thoughts and views about the Society’s literature. Some give recommendations about presentations that could be used in the field ministry. These sites offer chat rooms for individuals to connect to, allowing live communication with others, similar to talking on the telephone. They often point you to other sites where you can have on-line association with Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world. But can you tell for certain that these contacts have not been planted by apostates?
11 Having association via the Internet may not be consistent with the recommendation found at Ephesians 5:15-17. - https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/201999403
