I believe they certainly suffer an imbalance.  I feel that to be a true witness to truth requires being a witness not only for God, but also for Jesus, who is truth. (John 14:6; 17:17)   The Old Testament prophets were God’s witnesses who bore testimony also of Jesus Christ, by speaking God’s word about him.  Rev 19:10; (Jer 5:14) We know Jesus is God’s “faithful and true witness” (Rev 1:5; 3:14) to truth, and those priests/members of his Body are also to be God’s “witnesses” to truth.
    “You are my witnesses”—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
No god was formed before me,
and there will be none after me.”  Isa 43:10
The people I formed for myself
will declare my praise.  Isa 43:21
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”  1 Pet 2:9

So again, I feel being a “witness” of God requires giving “testimony of Jesus” – to his words of TRUTH. Adding to his words nullifies in one's mind, not only truth, but Christ’s witness and testimony.  It also nullifies that person becoming or existing as a faithful and true “witness” of God.  It is sad to see this in the organization, where truth has no foothold, since falsehoods have been taught to thousands over the years. (how do they dismiss affecting so many lives, so easily? how can those leaders sleep, knowing that they taught people to live a lie?)
Truth from Christ is sterling, not corroded in any way; not needing a polishing up to make it acceptable.  John 6:27; Rev 3:18
Since Jesus and the Father are one, a true priest/“witness” would be one in truth with them.  To his disciples:
“Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.” Luke 10:16
“All things havebeen entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son desires to reveal him.” Luke 10:22
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6
JWs will disagree, but Jesus is subtly rejected in the organization, so the concerted effort is on “Jehovah”. This is how JWs have learned from their leaders, to “witness”.  Yet, who can know the Father except for those who approach Christ?  Is that even possible for JWs?
    Absolutely not. Wt 20/4/pp 20-25
“The second challenge is that we are not able to speak to Jesus. When we pray, we direct our thoughts to Jehovah. True, we do pray in Jesus’ name, but we do not talk directly to him. In fact, Jesus does not want us to pray to him. Why not? Because prayer is a form of worship, and only Jehovah should be worshipped. (Matt. 4:10) Even so, we can express our love for Jesus.
There we go.  One scripture that is to prove we cannot speak to Jesus; even though in that one scripture, Jesus was talking to Satan, telling HIM to worship the Father only.   No man, no person, was in the conversation.  It had to do with the war that began between them in Genesis 3:15.  So, from one scripture they say Jesus does not want us to pray to him.  Incredible!
Jesus is totally cut out of the life of JWs; and the anointed members of his body who are silenced, have been cut off from their Head.  Their restriction from speaking with Jesus shows lawlessness is active and causing spiritual 'disaster' in the organization. 2 Thess 2:9-12  It is not much different than the Pharisees rejecting Christ, only this time, Wt’s leaders preach “another Jesus”.  2 Cor 11:4
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You lock up the kingdom of heaven from people. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.”
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to make one proselyte, and when he becomes one, you make him twice the son of Gehenna as you are!”   Matt 23:13-15
How can JWs understand what it means to give a testimony of Jesus Christ, when they have no relationship with him?  And who doesn't want us to have a relationship with Christ?  It is the same powerful individual that wants us to bow down and worship him, instead of God and Christ.

Yes, i am also pretty sure how believers, of all kind, and here JW's particularly was and/or will find themselves in difficult situations ........ when invoking the name of God becomes the only, last hope, and when it becomes the only, final way to feel protected.

One "catholic" translation of Bible came in 1969 (this was first Bible translation in communist ex-Yugoslavia), and this translation have god's name in form "Jahve" (first JW Bible in Croatian language brought form - Jehova) It is interesting how in preaching service (talking about past time, but seems it is same today) if person on door said Jahve, JW's are not willing to accept this as His name in full, but giving favor to form Jehova. When non JW using  this form instead of "official" JW name for God it sounds in the ears of JW's as "wrong" pronunciation or as less "acceptable" pronunciation.
And you can test this, just start using name Jahve in every day meetings and comments. Many elders will find need to talk with you about it :))))

I read that the the Catholic "Jerusalem" Bible and later the Catholic "New Jerusalem" Bible, were going to use Jahve, thinking it was possibly more accurate and more consistent with how other Hebrew names were translated, but they decided to stick with Yahweh because it was better known. Similar reasoning with the NWT translators in sticking with Jehovah.

Even though the name YHWH is etymologically difficult to explain, to a Hebrew audience it may have looked very much like He Who Causes "That Which Is" To Be.
    https://www.abarim-publications.com/Meaning/YHWH.html#.XpWcl8hKg2w
Before the hybridization of the tetragrammaton, the Jews used the word, “Adonai”, which is“Lord” in translation.  Literally, it means, “My foundation”.
“Jehovah” - Artificial hybrid of the names YHWH and Adonai. – Latin mixed with Hebrew, and you believe this is through the power of Holy Spirit that “Jehovah” was born?  It’s like a Hebrew slang word with a meaning that is totally the opposite of “He who causes that which is to be”; which is, “a ruin, a disaster”.

It is true that the majority of JWs believe “Jehovah” is the sacred name of God. It is a like a talisman, and I remember using it myself, believing it had some sort of magical power to save me from harm.  What amazes me now, is the ignorance in believing that Satan had nothing to do with changing the sacred use of His name.
Abarim publications quoted a scripture that should show anyone who cares, just how sacred God’s name is:
Judges 13:  Then Manoah said to the Angel of the Lord, “Please let us detain You, and we will prepare a young goat for You.”
16 And the Angel of the Lord said to Manoah, “Though you detain Me, I will not eat your food. But if you offer a burnt offering, you must offer it to the Lord.” (For Manoah did not know He was the Angel of the Lord.)
17 Then Manoah said to the Angel of the Lord, “What is Your name, that when Your words come to pass we may honor You?”
18 And the Angel of the Lord said to him, “Why do you ask My name, seeing it is wonderful?”
    “wonderful” – wonderful, incomprehensible, extraordinary
    פִּלְאִי pilʼîy, pil-ee'; or פָּלִיא pâlîyʼ; from H6381; remarkable:—secret, wonderful.
Since Jesus was the spokesperson for God, (as the Logos), this most likely was him who visited Manoah and his wife.  If his name in heaven was “incomprehensible”, wouldn't God's name be even moreso?
9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
    Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.  Matt 6:9
“Hallowed” - ἁγιάζω hagiázō, hag-ee-ad'-zo; from G40; to make holy, i.e. (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate:—hallow, be holy, sanctify.

I’m sorry, but the name “Jehovah” does not venerate the Almighty God.

In Croatian (as in other languages), some city names (as well as other names) are spelled, written differently and pronounced differently from the original. For example, the capital of Austria is Wien (German) or Vienna (English), but in Croatian it is Beč. There is no possible way for non Croatian language reader to see some similarity and conclude it can be same town. As we all have experience with the name in this way, no matter what word you speak in any of the languages, German, English or Croatian for the Austrian capital, most people will be clear about what it is.
Perhaps there is some problems or worry about 4 letters and pronounce and/or meaning of some particular pronounce. If 4 letters representing god's name and Him personally, perhaps the simplest way how not to use wrong pronounce is just simply spelling 4 letters when want to name God. Just opinion :))

You females are still deliberately bypassing the point.
YOUR own Org, said YAHWEH was more likely to be correct. But they don't want to use what is more likely to be correct. So I agree with your Org that Yahweh is more likely to be correct.
You see, the difference between your outlook and mine is this, You conform to your GB and it's Org and therefore you are given CCJW answers even before you ask questions.
It's a bit like scientists being paid to do research, but the one paying tells the scientists what result they MUST find. So it is in the CCJW, you are allowed to do research, but you MUST come up with the answers that the GB tell you to.
Whereas I am now in the position of having an open mind and being able to consider all possibilities. I am not restricted to obeying men, not threatened with being shunned or d/fed.
JW Insider seems to sit on the fence between those two choices, but you ladies seem to just follow the CCJW where ever it leads you. Srecko is a great 'breath of fresh air and life' here, because he has his totally independent viewpoint.
One thing that is becoming abundantly clearer to me is the fact that the CCJW / W/t Soc' is American. So it seems that JWs, American or not, are very influenced by this American attitude of having to be right. Even if in the 'small print' they admit to being wrong, they still have to push this idea of being right.
That point has been made so clear by the GB, with the Child Sexual Abuse problems. And it spreads from that into other things. The attitude of JWs on here, being so self righteous and insulting.
Each of us should use the name for God that we honestly feel is right. If any of you are only using the name you are told to use, then IMO, it shows a lack of personal relationship with God.
Please remember, i have no hate for any of you, I may feel disappointment but i will have to deal with that, I wish you all well.

Srecko Sostar got a reaction from Patiently waiting for Truth in Baptismal questions
I just went trough some bible verses with word - baptize, baptism. Main point why first Jews going in baptism were; confessing, repenting and washing the sins, believing in Jesus, to gain clear conscience, to be saved, to be buried with Jesus, baptism into Jesus and his death, to be disciples for Jesus.
Well, baptism as such is not part of identification process with outcome, goal to be part of some Organization or Corporation, religious or not religious.
In near future, and changing of baptism questions in WTJWORG is part of that, baptism will stay on folkloric and symbolic manifestation. New members will soon signing a documents as Factual Contract of membership to Corporation.

Srecko Sostar reacted to Witness in SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE ARMY OF LOCUSTS
Just recently, a massive, devastating locust plague made its way across areas of eastern Africa, threatening livelihoods and food supply, with new swarms developing from heavy rains experienced last month. This plague is expected to continue until the beginning of the harvest season in June and July, at the least. The countries of Yemen, Iran, and Pakistan are also on alert, as the development of a “new generation” makes headway into new territory. They appear to be unstoppable, as long as the conditions are favorable to support their life cycle.
Individual locusts experience a transformation that allows a swarm to develop; from the inconspicuous looking grasshopper, to a bold color change accenting their new aggressive attitude, and eating habits that contribute to accelerated size and strength. They are a desert creature, needing moisture to sustain the eggs they lay, which also produces a bumper crop of vegetation to feed on, once hatched.
When I investigated the characteristics and habits of what is called a swarm of “gregarious” locusts, the locust army in Joel 2 took on further understanding of its application today, as an army whose intent is to destroy God’s “land”. (Joel 2:2,3; Rev 9:3,4,710; 13:2,7; 20:7-9)
Most of us are aware that the organization just recently updated their view of the locust attack in Joel. It is rather incredible that it has taken many years to reach the conclusion that the anointed are not that particular “swarm”. The excuse given for their error, is that it wasn’t time for God to reveal its true identity. Perhaps instead of blaming God for deliberately hiding the truth for decades, the governing leaders should be held accountable to their admission of not being “inspired” by Holy Spirit. (2 Cor 11:3,4,13-15)
Until reading their April magazine article, I had understood that this “new light” revealed two locust armies that would be present in the last days. Instead, the organization segregates the locust account in Revelation 9 from that in Joel by saying Joel’s locusts had their fulfillment during the early Babylonian siege. True, but as witnessed continually in God’s word, the history and actions of God’s people, echo again and again, right down to today. The ancient prophesy in Joel has further fulfillment in our day. (Isa 13:9; Zeph 1:15; Joel 1:15; 2:2; 3:14-16; 2 Thess 2:9-12; Rev 8:12; 9:3,11,12; 16:13-16)
I noticed that the WT’s focus was on the wickedness of the army in Joel, and not the reason why God allowed the army to devastate His wayward people. ( Joel 1:5,8-12; 2:12-14) During the time they taught that the anointed “Israel” were the now understood “wicked” locust swarm, I wonder how it escaped their notice that God’s nation of Israel was the army’s target. And still, it is taught that the anointed “Israel” today are Revelation’s devastating locusts. I hope if you compare the scriptures, you can determine they are the same army that comes against God’s people in the last days. God allows our exposure to this locust swarm as a discipline, leading to our cleansing and repentance from the organizations lies. (Joel 1:13; Lam 2:14; Rev 3:18; 11:3)
“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron 7:13,14
That army is the elder body/”man of lawlessness” ruling over God’s “land”; His anointed priesthood, who do not have the seal of God upon their foreheads. (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17;1 Cor 3:9;Eph 2:20-22; Matt 24:15; Mark 13:14; 2 Thess 2:3,4; Rev 11:1,2) (Joel 1:6; Rev 9:4) (Rev 3:12;7:4)
Instead, they carry the mark of an organization; the “mark of the Beast” which is the mark of an idol. JWs receive this mark not only at baptism, but through all activities performed for the organization. Anyone who recognizes this destructive body of elders and refuses to acknowledge their power over him, is “killed” – disfellowshipped; which ultimately removes the mark of the Beast. (Rev 13:1,4-10,15-17; 19:20)

The GB or their “helpers” developed a basic comparison chart that they label, “similar but different”
    Using Joel 1:4; 2:7-9,20:
    They are from the north
    Vegetation is devastated
    Eventually, they are driven away
Joel’s locust depict the Babylonian army that invaded Jerusalem.
    Using Rev. 9:1-11:
They are not from the north, but come out of the abyss (the place of “not perceiving”)
They are not to harm the vegetation (UNTIL God’s holy people are sealed – Rev 9:4;7:3)
They finish their work (When the locust army/Beast from the Sea/man of lawlessness has finished its work, it will no longer exist - Rev 17:8; Rev 20:7-10)
And it is assumed that they are “Jehovah’s anointed servants” proclaiming judgment messages.

This is a bare-bones comparison chart of error, that most JWs will accept as “proper food at the proper time”. By using God’s Word, Pearl Doxsey’s article explains in depth why His people today are under attack by a great army of symbolic locusts, that is the catalyst which brings about the Great Tribulation and Armageddon. I encourage you to read, “The Greatest Tribulation -- What and Why?” on her blog.

Can it be dismissed that the locust swarms the country of Africa is suffering from, has accomplished incredible damage to the vegetation…to the food supply? If Revelation’s locusts symbolize the anointed presenting the organization’s supply of spiritual food (Rev 13:16,17), which is said to cause the listener to become “very uncomfortable”, isn’t this contradictory to the instinctive drive of a swarm of locusts? Since when do locusts carry their own food supply? And, who in the “preaching work” are so uncomfortable by JW’s initial message that they “seek death”? (Rev 9:6)
As the locusts transform from solitary creatures into a blackened swarming powerhouse, they crave carbohydrate-rich foods, and their favorite is in the form of grains. God’s priesthood, or “sons of the kingdom” who are to follow the footsteps of Christ, are compared to wheat grain. (Matt 13:23,37,38) They are to carry the “seed”, the word of God in their hearts; yet they are the first and foremost target of the locusts described in both Bible books. (Luke 8:11,12; Rev 9:4) Satan, who demands to sift God’s people “as wheat” is fueling the intentions of this locust army, to turn their hearts into “weeds”, using poison-induced teachings leading God’s people into idolatry. (Luke 22:31; Matt 13:30; Rev 9:1-3; 8:10,11;16:13,14; Rev 13:4)

Satan sows misleading lies in our heart, as "weeds" (Eph 4:22; 2 Thess 2:10; James 1:15; Matt 13:25; 1 Pet 2:11).
As those deceptive desires and illusions/"weeds" grow and mature, they choke out the word from our heart (Matt 13:7; Luke 8:7,14; Gal 6:8).
When these hearts come to maturity, the appearance of the heart is full of weeds/thorns. The identity of that heart then, is a weed (Matt 13:38; Ps 37:1,2; Ezek 2:6; 28:24; 2 Sam 23:6; Isa 51:12; Micah 7:4).  Pearl Doxsey

These desert locust swarms are as one article put it, “opportunists”, who breed and forage where vegetation growth is aided by plentiful rain. God’s word of truth in Christ is compared to “living water”, which nourishes the faithful heart of the anointed and all who accept their teachings. (Prov 10:11; John 4:14; 7:38; Matt 5:6; Mark 9:37) The anointed receive a “token” of Holy Spirit that “writes” the laws of God through Christ, onto their heart. (Matt 13:12; 2 Cor 1:21,22; Heb 8:10)
Effectively, the elder body/Beast/symbolic locusts have taken the opportunity to target, infiltrate and desolate the hearts of God’s lush “beautiful land” and dwelling (1 Cor 3:16,17) spreading spiritual darkness, famine and thirst to all in the organization. (Amos 8:9-11; Rev 6:6-8; 13:15-17) Those anointed priests who submit to the power of this counterfeit priesthood, can lose all sense of God’s righteous decrees through their act of idolatry, acceptance of lies and the wicked ruler-ship over them. (Mal 2:7-9; Num 18:7; Ezek 44:6-9)

"Listen to me, you who know righteousness,
the people in whose heart is my instruction:
do not fear disgrace by men,
and do not be shattered by their taunts.
8 For moths will devour them like a garment,
and worms will eat them like wool.
But my righteousness will last forever,
and my salvation for all generations.
I—I am the one who comforts you.
Who are you that you should fear humans who die,
or a son of man who is given up like grass?
13 But you have forgotten the Lord, your Maker,
    who stretched out the heavens
and laid the foundations of the earth.
You are in constant dread all day long
because of the fury of the oppressor,
who has set himself to destroy.
But where is the fury of the oppressor?
    14 The prisoner is soon to be set free;
he will not die and go to the Pit,
and his food will not be lacking." Isa 51:7,8,12-14

And one last thought; these uniquely transformed locusts become attracted to the odor of a toxic plant substance, which attributes to their own toxicity and possible color change from grey, to bright yellow and black. This is a plant alkaloid used in the pharmaceutical world for several reasons, but its downside is harmful effects on the nervous system and vision. “Wormwood” has her army at her side, drunk on her toxic waters, while sharing dominion over God’s “land”, as together they bring “truth to the ground” (Dan 7:23;8:12; Rev 13:1,2; 8:10,11; Matt 24:48-51; Rev 13:11,12; 17:3,15)

Those under the influence of that organization and it's leaders, are drinking the wine of the vine of Satan (Deut 32:32,33; Joel 3:13,14; Rev 14:18-20).
Those who imbibe from that vine (instead of the vine and branches of Christ - (John 15:1,4,5,8), are spiritually drunk, and are unable to "Keep Awake" as Jesus commanded (Luke 21:34-36; 1 Thess 5:7; John 12:35).
Just as it is nearly impossible to rouse an intoxicated person, it will be near to impossible to awaken one who is devoted to demonic deception (1 Tim 4:1; Rev 16:13-16)
Spiritual blindness can only be cured by Christ, who opens that no one can shut, and shuts that no one can open (Rev 3:7; Luke 24:45; Matt 13:11). We are ready to offer our scriptural reasons for hope (1 Pet 3:15; 1 Cor 9:16)... but only God can make them able to hear what the spirit says to the congregations
    (1 John 1:5; Ps 36:9; Luke 11:13; 1 Cor 2:10; Matt 11:15).

“Pay attention to me, my people,
    and listen to me, my nation;
for instruction will come from me,
and my justice for a light to the nations.
I will bring it about quickly.
    5 My righteousness is near,
    my salvation appears,
and my arms will bring justice to the nations.
The coasts and islands will put their hope in me,
and they will look to my strength.
    For the Lord will comfort Zion;
he will comfort all her waste places,
and he will make her wilderness like Eden,
and her desert like the garden of the Lord.
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
thanksgiving and melodious song.” Isa 51:4,5,6

    “Don’t be afraid, land;
    rejoice and be glad,
for the Lord has done astonishing things.
22 Don’t be afraid, wild animals,
for the wilderness pastures have turned green,
    the trees bear their fruit,
and the fig tree and grapevine yield their riches.
23 Children of Zion, rejoice and be glad
    in the Lord your God,
because he gives you the autumn rain
    for your vindication.
    He sends showers for you,
both autumn and spring rain as before.
24 The threshing floors will be full of grain,
    and the vats will overflow
with new wine and fresh oil.
25 I will repay you for the years
    that the swarming locust ate,

Maybe that WT ask for a global discount on a 8 plus million plane tickets (free tickets for minor children). In that case, maybe a one-way ticket would only be a dollar per person. And there is no need to sell the property, let everyone rent it and collect the rent, and let it all money sit on the branch account in Australia :)))

You are exaggerating similar to the way Nehemiah Gordon exaggerates.
Nehemia Gordon has not discovered anything new. What he is doing is pretending that these relatively recent manuscripts are some of the oldest when they are not. He is playing a hyping game, which is a way to get noticed on the Internet these days. Everything that Gordon has found on these Bible manuscripts had already been discussed by Hebrew scholars over the last few hundred years.
And of course, all of the truly ancient Hebrew manuscripts do not have vowel markings. This includes the Dead Sea Scrolls from about 250BC to 68CE. And there are hundreds of instances of the Divine Name in them. Also, of course, the older Hebrew markings on stones, and pottery, jewelry, clay, the "Moabite Stone" [Mesha stele] etc., do not have vowel markings, and some of these go back centuries further. The Christian-era Hebrew/Greek scholars, such as Origen [around 200 CE] took an interest in Hebrew manuscripts, along with the LXX manuscripts, and the pronunciation and representation of YHWH in these manuscripts. There were still no vowel points.
Some inconsistent attempts at vowel pointing started in the 6th century. Yet, even in the most famous manuscript links between the old and the new Masorete manuscripts, we have the Ashkar-Gilson Hebrew Manuscript from the 8th century with no vowel points yet. As you can see below, there is an example of YHWH in the center of the image below, and there are still no vowel points:

The Masoretes started the first useful, consistent vowel pointing system around 850 CE, and the oldest of their manuscripts with vowel pointing come to us in mss from about 950 to the 1100's. And they were still not consistent when it came to vowel pointing YHWH. I copied two examples before when this topic came up, where they sometimes used the vowels that matched the vowels of ELOHIM (God) and usually the vowels that were a closer match for ADONAI (Lord). Gordon simply ignores the ones he doesn't like and pretends to get all excited over the ones that fit his theory, which had already been very well known and dismissed for centuries.
The following statements about Nehemiah Gordon and what he is hyping are not absolutely correct either, but they give the correct idea of the problem:
    https://www.snydertalk.com/2018/05/17/17-2018-snydertalk-yahweh-nehemia-gordon-wrong/
    Nehemia Gordon is Wrong
The ancient manuscripts that Nehemia Gordon “discovered” aren’t nearly ancient enough.  When the vowel marking process ended in about 1000 AD (1,165 years after rabbis took Yahweh’s Name out of circulation), the scribes preparing the manuscripts followed the Oral Law or the Traditions of the Jews and disguised Yahweh’s Name as the ancient rabbis required.
What Nehemia Gordon “discovered” is evidence of probably the worst mistake anyone has ever made in the history of the world.  He’s contributing to the problem.
Earlier in the article the timeline was made pretty clear:
    Look at the Timeline
In about 165 BC, Yahweh’s Name was taken out of circulation . . . .
In about 500 AD, the process of creating vowel markings began.
In about 1000 AD, the vowel marking creation process ended.
About 665 years passed between the time rabbis forbade the use of Yahweh’s Name and the time the vowel marking creation process began.  About 1,165 years passed before the vowel marking creation process ended.  That’s a long time.

For reference, there is a good discussion of the Ashkar-Gilson is here. http://www.jhsonline.org/Articles/article_201.pdf
A full discussion needs also to look at the variations in spelling and/or vowel pointing from several of the scrolls coming from the time of transition to vowel pointing:

Firstly I suppose we should get it straight that it wasn't the GB that decided on the name anyway.
    https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/1911_Encyclopædia_Britannica/Jehovah     Quote :-
The form Jehovah was used in the 16th century by many authors, both Catholic and Protestant....
It appeared in the English Bible in Tyndale's translation of the Pentateuch (1530),
But this is my last take on the subject as it's getting pointless just disagreeing on it....
Contrary to what some believe, Jehovah is not the Divine Name revealed to Israel. The name Jehovah is a product of mixing different words and different alphabets of different languages. Due to a fear of accidentally taking God’s name in vain (Leviticus 24:16), the Jews basically quit saying it out loud altogether. Instead, when reading Scripture aloud, the Jews substituted the tetragrammaton YHWH with the word Adonai (“Lord”). Even in the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament), the translators substituted Kurios (“Lord”) for the Divine Name. Eventually, the vowels from Adonai (“Lord”) or Elohim (“God”) found their way in between the consonants of YHWH, thus forming YaHWeH. But this interpolation of vowels does not mean that was how God’s name was originally pronounced. In fact, we aren’t entirely sure if YHWH should have two syllables or three.

Any number of vowel sounds can be inserted within YHWH, and Jewish scholars are as uncertain of the real pronunciation as Christian scholars are. Jehovah is actually a much later (probably 16th-century) variant. The word Jehovah comes from a three-syllable version of YHWH, YeHoWeH. The Y was replaced with a J (although Hebrew does not even have a J sound) and the W with a V, plus the extra vowel in the middle, resulting in JeHoVaH. These vowels are the abbreviated forms of the imperfect tense, the participial form, and the perfect tense of the Hebrew being verb (English is)—thus the meaning of Jehovah could be understood as “He who will be, is, and has been.”

So, what is God’s Name, and what does it mean? The most likely choice for how the tetragrammaton was pronounced is “YAH-way,” “YAH-weh,” or something similar. The name Yahweh refers to God’s self-existence. Yahweh is linked to how God described Himself in Exodus 3:14, “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “I AM has sent me to you.”’” God’s name is a reflection of His being. God is the only self-existent or self-sufficient Being. Only God has life in and of Himself. That is the essential meaning of the tetragrammaton, YHWH.
I would think that even when the Org found out it was wrong, they just couldn't go back on what they had been teaching for so long.  It was such a main teaching that it would have broken them to tell the truth.

This information below is directly from the Watchtower Online Library.
The Codex Leningrad B 19A, of the 11th century C.E., vowel points the Tetragrammaton to read Yehwahʹ, Yehwihʹ, and Yeho·wahʹ. Ginsburg’s edition of the Masoretic text vowel points the divine name to read Yeho·wahʹ. (Ge 3:14, ftn) Hebrew scholars generally favor “Yahweh” as the most likely pronunciation. They point out that the abbreviated form of the name is Yah (Jah in the Latinized form), as at Psalm 89:8 and in the expression Ha·lelu-Yahʹ (meaning “Praise Jah, you people!”). (Ps 104:35;150:1, 6) Also, the forms Yehohʹ, Yoh, Yah, and Yaʹhu, found in the Hebrew spelling of the names Jehoshaphat, Joshaphat, Shephatiah, and others, can all be derived from Yahweh. Greek transliterations of the name by early Christian writers point in a somewhat similar direction with spellings such as I·a·beʹ and I·a·ou·eʹ, which, as pronounced in Greek, resemble Yahweh. Still, there is by no means unanimity among scholars on the subject, some favoring yet other pronunciations, such as “Yahuwa,” “Yahuah,” or “Yehuah.”
It seems YAH is Hebrew and JAH is Latin.
Consider a few examples of proper names found in the Bible that include a shortened form of God’s name. Jonathan, which appears as Yoh·na·thanʹ or Yehoh·na·thanʹ in the Hebrew Bible, means “Yaho or Yahowah has given,” says Professor Buchanan. The prophet Elijah’s name is ʼE·li·yahʹ or ʼE·li·yaʹhu in Hebrew. According to Professor Buchanan, the name means: “My God is Yahoo or Yahoo-wah.” Similarly, the Hebrew name for Jehoshaphat is Yehoh-sha·phatʹ, meaning “Yaho has judged.”
All this is from the  CCJW / Watchtower Soc' and it all points to Yahweh.
So what is in front or Your eyes you don't believe.

What makes me wonder after reading this two posts of yours is this: For all those who want to escape from dangerous places, primarily they need to have many important and detailed information about who is who in this fight, and where they are placed and where they will go.
How they heard and collect such "classified" information? Also they needed political and military understanding of such information. If first Christians (ex-Jews) acted as Christians aka JW's today, who, according to WT publication, are as 1st Christians in 1st Century, that means they are not part of the World, and not interested in political and military things of this world. That would means, both of this Christians (in 1st century and JW's today) are not "able" to have, to get such kind of secular understanding of political movement and plans, because they are occupied exclusively with spiritual things and matters inside congregation.
What WTJWorg and JW members doing is looking at the general "signs", such as wars, earthquakes, pestilence, shortage of food, crimes and similar. Some sort of going into political examinations and understanding and to giving political picture, analyze about who is "King of the North", who is "Gog of Magog" and similar shows lack of real knowledge and understanding, because interpretations was changed through history. In fact what sort of knowledge GB showed? Political? Religious? Or mixed?
I am not saying how our looking to go deeper in understanding and our tries to get, to see more is not good, as you showed in your posts (that was good to read for me and helped me to wrote this comment), but want to say how (temporary) WTJWorg attitude "to not be part of the world" also it can mean: We are not voting and not take sides, but we are interested to understand political moves of "our enemies" to be able to escape bad things.
Obviously, GB understanding of political moves in Russia didn't be of much use and "they didn't escape on time" from Russia territory to save life (from suffer and prison) and basic material things. 1st Christians done exactly this. Didn't want to be martyrs, or to suffer for religious rights and similar reasons.

The signs are spiritual, not literal. SATAN'S signs are literal.  Your desire to see literal fulfillment is no different than the Pharisees.
This is what the Lord, your Redeemer who formed you from the womb, says:
    I am YHVH, who made everything;
    who stretched out the heavens by Myself;
    who alone spread out the earth;
25 who destroys the omens of the false prophets
    and makes fools of diviners;
    who confounds the wise
    and makes their knowledge foolishness;
26 who confirms the message of His servant
    and fulfills the counsel of His messengers;
who says to Jerusalem, “She will be inhabited,”
and to the cities of Judah, “They will be rebuilt,”
and I will restore her ruins   Isa 44:24-26
"An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah." Then he left them and went away."  Matt 16:4
I wish you could understand this.

These are good points. Inside the walls of Jerusalem, they would have heard of the wars around the country, rumors of wars, and would have known to prepare for the Romans coming on their way. For some reason (per Luke) Jesus had not told them to flee at the rumors, but from the actual time when they actually saw encamped armies surrounding the city. As far as we can tell, this full siege didn't actually happen until 70, but there must have been some kind of "surrounding" by Gallus' armies before they tried to breach the city in 66. This would have been quite visible, and Jewish guerrilla forces were reported to be quite active drumming up support within the nation and the city to prepare. They would have spread the news of the most recent successes and defeats and therefore would have known what Gallus was up to when they saw his armies approaching Jerusalem in late October of 66. I think a lot of their "news" was direct word of mouth from eyewitnesses and their own ability to look out their windows (actually, from the top of the walls) and see for themselves.
Except when these movements are obvious in front our eyes, from our own windows.
This is very true. In fact, I found it odd that there had been a shift in the doctrine such that all these former misinterpretations were turned into "correct" former understandings of who held the position of these Kings at previous times, even though it would change through time.
Of course, some of these interpretations were clearly influenced by prior Adventist teachings, et al, about the Anglo-American world power, and totalitarian world powers. This, I think, has skewed the evidence away from realizing that the Anglo-American world power and various allies have usually been far more totalitarian than most of the others powers accused.
Russia, right after their unfounded crackdown on JWs, was "low-hanging fruit" at the time it was identified as the "King of the North." It seemed obvious in light of the fact that it had previously been the USSR but was going unidentified for a while just in case Islam could qualify. (This idea was presented in some talks by senior members of the Writing Department after September 2001.)
Of course, in the original context, Jehovah's people sometimes found protection with the King of the South (Egypt) and sometimes they were to find protection with the King of the North (Babylon). Jeremiah begged his countrymen to go into exile in Babylon for protection because fleeing to Egypt would not be safe at that time. These were symbols of the nations that appeared to be stronger than Jehovah's people, and therefore become the symbols of "temptation" for protection and flight, when God's people forget about His protection. Therefore, if these "kings of the earth" are revisited in Revelation, then the symbol is no longer necessary to identify with a particular nation. It doesn't matter who they are, they are part of a world (Satan's world) that Christians have conquered through the blood of the Lamb.
