  1. Matthew 10:16: "Jesus said that it is a good idea to flee. Look! I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; so prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard against men, for they will hand you over to local courts and they will scourge you in their synagogues. 18 And you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations. 19 However, when they hand you over, do not become anxious about how or what you are to speak, for what you are to speak will be given you in that hour; 20 for the ones speaking are not just you, but it is the spirit of your Father that speaks by you. 21 Further, brother will hand brother over to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and will have them put to death. 22 And you will be hated by all people on account of my name, but the one who has endured to the end will be saved.23 When they persecute you in one city, flee to another; for truly I say to you, you will by no means complete the circuit of the cities of Israel until the Son of man arrives. And when Stephen was killed the Bible says: "Saul, for his part, approved of his murder. On that day great persecution arose against the congregation that was in Jerusalem; all except the apostles were scattered throughout the regions of Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a. (Acts 8:1) So, it is wise to be cautious and escape when possible. But if one is caught despite all, then it is important to be courageous and firm in the faith.
  2. 4Jah2me, the big change will happen when the prophecies about time, times and half a time begins. The holy center of the WT organization will suffer according to the above mentioned prophecies. Also Daniel 8:11 fortells what expects the WT organization: "It exalted itself even against the Prince of the army, and from him the constant feature was taken away, and the established place of his sanctuary was thrown down. 12 And an army was given over, together with the constant feature, because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth, and it acted and had success.13 And I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one speaking: “How long will the vision of the constant feature and of the transgression causing desolation continue, to make both the holy place and the army things to trample on?” 14 So he said to me: “Until 2,300 evenings and mornings; and the holy place will certainly be restored to its right condition.” What does this mean? I can only think that "the established place of his sanctuary" applies to the WT organization and especially to the headquarters of the WT organization. And the "army" that will be trampled, is hard to apply on anything but to the formost members of the Jehovah's witnesses. And "the constant feature" should include especially the WT magazine that has been issued constantly for more than 100 years every month. The WT organization has never experienced yet a such total defeat. And the context is clear that all this tribulation will happen before Armageddon. So the WT explanation that this happened in the past is very farfetched. During this time I can not see from those prophecies how the Governing body could control the Jehovah's witnesses. And parallel prophecy in Daniel 11:33,34 fortells about those who will give spiritual guidance in those times: "And those having insight among the people will impart understanding to the many. And they will be made to stumble by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plundering, for some days. But when they are made to stumble, they will be given a little help; and many will join with them by means of smooth speech." "Those with insight" I think refer primarly to many anointed Jehovah's witnesses "and many will join them." Yes, it is only to the local anointed many can join. Because nobody has yet joined local anointed, because the Governing Body has forbidden to do that. Then there are other very exciting prophecies about this time. Some will apparently flee to a specific place of refuge and dwell there during this time of persecution. And they will be fed spiritually there. That is what Revelation 12:6 fortells: "And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God and where they would feed her for 1,260 days.....13 Now when the dragon saw that it had been hurled down to the earth, it persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. 14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is to be fed for a time and times and half a time away from the face of the serpent. "The woman" must symbolize the congregation consisting of brothers and sister of Jehovah's witnesses. Because it will face persecution, and that will cause them to flee to a place that God has apparently prepred for them. Daniel 11:34 also said "they will be given little help", could this refer to this flight? All this is in accord with Ezekiel 38:8 before the attempted attack of Gog. "You will be given attention after many days. In the final part of the years you will invade the land whose people have been restored from the ravages of the sword, collected together out of many peoples onto the mountains of Israel, which had long been lying devastated. The inhabitants of this land were restored from the peoples, and all of them dwell in security." But interestingly not all will flee to this place of security, because Revelation 12:17 says after "the woman" escaped: "So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her offspring, who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness concerning Jesus. The remaining ones of her offspring, must refer to those who did not flee to a secure place. Those will be brutally persecuted.
  3. The WT organization puts much importance on 1918 and 1919. But those beliefs are farfetched applications on Bible prophecies obscuring the urgent need to understand the true meaning of those prophecies. Because it will affect all Jehovah's witnesses. Let's see why those explanations are untrue. For example the publication Daniel's prophecy dp gives some explanations that can quite easily be debunked. Here is the explanation from jw.org: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101999037#h=25 10 Has there been such a spiritual revival of God’s anointed servants in the time of the end? Yes! It is a historical reality that in 1918 a small remnant of faithful Christians were subjected to an extraordinary attack that disrupted their organized public ministry. Then, against all likelihood, in 1919 they returned to life in a spiritual sense. These facts fit the description of the resurrection foretold at Daniel 12:2. Some did “wake up” spiritually at that time and thereafter. Sadly, though, not all remained in a spiritually alive state. Those who after being awakened chose to reject the Messianic King and who left God’s service earned for themselves the ‘reproaches and indefinitely lasting abhorrence’ described at Daniel 12:2. (Hebrews 6:4-6) However, the faithful anointed ones, making good use of their spiritually revived state, loyally supported the Messianic King. Ultimately, their faithfulness leads, as the prophecy states, to “indefinitely lasting life.” Today, their spiritual vitality in the face of opposition helps us to identify them. 16 Daniel’s account continues: “And I began to hear the man clothed with the linen, who was up above the waters of the stream, as he proceeded to raise his right hand and his left hand to the heavens and to swear by the One who is alive for time indefinite: ‘It will be for an appointed time, appointed times and a half. And as soon as there will have been a finishing of the dashing of the power of the holy people to pieces, all these things will come to their finish.’” (Daniel 12:7) This is a solemn matter. The angel raises both hands in an oath, perhaps so that this gesture is visible to the two angels on opposite sides of the broad river. He thereby emphasizes the absolute certainty of the fulfillment of this prophecy. When, though, are these appointed times? The answer is not as difficult to find as you might think it is. 17 This prophecy is remarkably similar to two other prophecies. One, which we considered in Chapter 9 of this publication, is found at Daniel 7:25; the other, at Revelation 11:3, 7, 9. Note some of the parallels. Each is set during the time of the end. Both prophecies concern holy servants of God, showing them to be persecuted and even temporarily unable to carry out their public preaching activity. Each prophecy shows that God’s servants revive and then resume their work, foiling their persecutors. And each prophecy mentions the duration of this time of hardship for the holy ones. Both prophecies in Daniel (7:25 and 12:7) refer to ‘a time, times, and half a time.’ Scholars generally recognize this to mean three and a half times. Revelation refers to the same period as 42 months, or 1,260 days. (Revelation 11:2, 3) This confirms that the three and a half times in Daniel refer to three and a half years of 360 days each. But when did these 1,260 days begin? 18 The prophecy is quite explicit as to when the 1,260 days would end—when there is “a finishing of the dashing of the power of the holy people to pieces.” In the middle of 1918, leading members of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, including its president, J. F. Rutherford, were convicted on false charges, sentenced to long terms of confinement, and imprisoned. God’s holy ones did indeed see their work ‘dashed to pieces,’ their power broken. Counting back three and a half years from mid-1918 brings us to the end of 1914. At that time the little band of anointed ones were bracing themselves for the onslaught of persecution. World War I had broken out, and opposition to their work was mounting. For the year 1915, they even based their yeartext on this question that Christ asked his followers: “Are ye able to drink of my cup?” (Matthew 20:22, King James Version) As predicted at Revelation 11:3, the 1,260-day period that ensued was a mournful time for the anointed—it was as if they were prophesying in sackcloth. Persecution worsened. Some of them were imprisoned, others were mobbed, and still others were tortured. Many were disheartened by the death of the Society’s first president, C. T. Russell, in 1916. What, though, was to happen after this dark time concluded with the killing of these holy ones as a preaching organization? (End of quote) These claims of severe persecution are unfortunately exaggerated and does not nearly correspond to the prophecies. That is because the WT organization did not cease to continue its work despite some 8 leading brothers sent to prison. The Proclaimers book does not at all give a such grime picture of the years 1914-1919 conserning the WT organization. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101993007 Proclaimers book jv: "Through the close of 1917 and into 1918, the Bible Students energetically distributed the new book, The Finished Mystery. By the end of 1917, the printers were busy on the 850,000 edition. The Watch Tower of December 15, 1917, reported: “The sale of the Seventh Volume is unparallelled by the sale of any other book known, in the same length of time, excepting the Bible.” "But not everyone was thrilled with the success of The Finished Mystery. The book contained some references to the clergy of Christendom that were very cutting. This so angered the clergy that they urged the government to suppress the publications of the Bible Students. As a result of this clergy-inspired opposition, early in 1918, The Finished Mystery was banned in Canada. Opposition soon mounted against the Bible Students in the United States." (End of quote) During the time the leading brothers were in prison the activity continued at the WT organization. The Proclaimers book goes on to tell: "Back in Brooklyn an Executive Committee was appointed to take charge of the work. A chief concern of the brothers appointed was to keep The Watch Tower in circulation. The Bible Students everywhere certainly needed all the spiritual encouragement that could be given them. In fact, during this entire “testing season,” not one issue of The Watch Tower failed to appear in print!*" (.......) Nevertheless, a good spirit prevailed. Martha Meredith recalled: “We in Pittsburgh got together and decided we were going to keep ‘the home fires burning’ until the brethren got out of prison. At that time the Brooklyn office was moved to Pittsburgh, so the brethren got busy writing articles for The Watch Tower and had it printed. When The Watch Towers were ready to be sent out, we sisters wrapped them and sent them out to the people.”(End of quote) So where was the dashing in to pieces in 1914-1919? According to Daniel 12:7 ‘It will be for an appointed time, appointed times and a half. And as soon as there will have been a finishing of the dashing of the power of the holy people to pieces, all these things will come to their finish.’” (Daniel 12:7) And because evidently this prophecy had no relation to 1914-1919 we should ask ourselves if that is instead something the WT organization will soon experience. And not only the WT organization but the anointed in general?
  4. The WT organization claims that they follow the example of the first christians in the first century. But they did not have in the first century monthly reports of hours spent on preaching. One could ask why? Well I have not found evidence in the Bible that they preached repeatedly on their surroundings after once they had gone through their territories.
  5. Yes, it is strange that they have added unnecessary baptismal questions. Especially about if we acknowledge the WT organization. The elders asked me accusingly at the judicial commitee: "Did you not get baptised to be a Jehovah's witness and to be obedient to the WT organization?" May be the wording was not exactly that, but the sense was that. But I did never consider my dedication and baptism to be to the WT organization. Because the WT clearly says that our dedication is a personal thing. We dedicate ourselves to God, and not to an organization and that our baptism is a public declaration of our dedication to Jehovah God.
  6. Hi 4Jah2me, I acknowledge that it has been distressing for me. But I am hopeful in expectation for what will come. The situation is quite similar in a spiritual sense to how it was in Jesus' days. Jehovah's witnesses say you must be a Jehovah's witness to be saved. But that is not fully correct. More correct would be to say that a JWs background is good to have for salvation. That is similar to what Jesus said to the samaritan woman: "You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews. 23 Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.” Like in the first century the first true christians had a jewish religious background, so I believe a the "great crowd" mentioned in Revelation 7 will have mostly if not completely a Jehovah's witness background. And just like Jesus came and ended the old covenant and started a new organization, the christian congregation, so something new will come out of Jehovah's witnesses.
  7. @TrueTomHarley Thanks Tom for your kind reply. It is conforting that you have thought so much about me and my situation. And it is true that my family goes regularly to the meetings. I was ministerial servant and I had been pioneer for 5 years. And I have mostly been very zealous for God's will. But then 15 years ago I felt that the WT literature and meeting programs do not help me to make any new spiritual progress. A whole year went, and I looked back and I saw that I had not progressed in anything. But one WT article suggested that we pray to Jehovah God so that he might teach us more. I thought that would help, because I wanted to make spiritual progress. So because I knew the literature so well already, I decided instead to read the Bible and hope that Jehovah would lead my thoughts and let me understand something new while I read the Bible. Often, sometimes everyday I learned something new. I remarked scriptures I had previously just not payed attention to. So after 3 years after I had understood so much new, I was enough courageous to speak about those things to brothers and sisters. And I reasoned that I should not hide a more accurate knowledge, because Jesus said "and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."(John 8:32) I thought that brothers and sister would understand, because I based all that on scriptures I had found. And I thought that this would be a beginning of a reajustment of the Jehovah's witnesses, and that Jehovah and Jesus would make it succeed. Because all this was for the sake of the truth. And God and Christ love truth. Sadly it did not go as planed. I got disfellowshipped. The elders did not refute my arguments. One even said, "you might be right, but this is not allowed. We have to obey the Governing Body." I thought what? Because the WT organization had taught how important it is to follow the principle apostle Peter told: "In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men." (Acts 5:29) When we can see clearly in the Bible that something the WT organization teaches is not right, we should be allowed to speak out. So I sticked to the principles I had learned. And the elders disfellowshipped me. So I have nothing to repent for, for what I was disfellowshipped. So I will not be reinstated as long as the WT organization continues like this. But I am hopeful. Jesus said: "Happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake. 12 Rejoice and be overjoyed, since your reward is great in the heavens, for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to you."(Matthew 5:11,12)
  8. Yes, I agree, Jesus our Master and Lord expects that we increase his belongings here on earth. And different disciples of Jesus are able to do that in different measures. And that is okey, as long we do our best. A bad thing would be to know Jesus and God and never talk about that to anybody. That would really amount to burying the mina. We can have a lot to do in the Lord's work in different ways. After the territories have been worked out where we live, we have to find other productive ways to increase Jesus' belongings here on earth. Some few are able to move to a place where it has not been preached. But if you are not among them, then you can in a balanced way witness about Jesus informally to people you are aquinted with. Just a little not to annoy them. Personally I have done that a regularly. I have tried to find interest, but nobody has taken it seriously. Then there is apostle Paul's recommendation to have children. Every believing child will add to Jesus' belongings on earth. 1 Timothy 5:14 Therefore, I desire the younger widows to marry, to bear children, to manage a household, to give no opportunity to the opposer to criticize. 1 Timothy 2:14 Also, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly deceived and became a transgressor. 15 However, she will be kept safe through childbearing, provided she continues in faith and love and holiness along with soundness of mind. Yes, that is a way to make disciples. I have because of that 5 children. 4 still living with us and the youngest is 7 years old. I try to make disciples to Jesus out of them. An other way is to make the congregation grow spiritually. There is surely a lot of work to do for everyone. And most important is to make personal spiritual growth, and as a by-product we will be much more productive in making spiritual growth around us. Then there is a possibility to contribute to a spiritual growth on the internet. Also contributing funds to spiritual things furthers spiritual growth on earth. And we should believe in the power of prayer. We can contribute to spiritual growth by praying that it would happen more abundantly. I think that will give more work for angels. So, there is very much we can do to cause spiritual growth without doing unproductive door-to-door witnessing in places where people are already familiar with us and not interested in serving God. If we feel that we have little to do in the Lord's work, then we should pray to Jehovah God in the name of Jesus about that. And I am sure Jehovah will through Jesus find for us ways to be productive in causing spiritual growth on earth, to increase the mina. About that we can pray everyday, so that we get constantly productive work to do in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always having plenty to do in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in connection with the Lord.
  9. Is it really necessary to preach as much as the WT organization urges? Haven't we all felt that it is quite unproductive to go back to territories that we have worked through many times already? In a such case, could we not just focus on doing fine works and working on to put on the new personality? And make progress in becoming one with God and Christ and our brothers and sisters? John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one. 23 I in union with them and you in union with me, in order that they may be perfected into one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that you loved them just as you loved me. What does the Holy Christian Greek scriptures really say? First of all we should be reasonable. That is a quality that is strongly endorsed in the Christian Greek Scriptures. Philippians 4:5: Let your reasonableness become known to all men. According to this quality of reasonableness it is said that wives with unbelieving husbands should not constantly preach to their husbands. 1 Peter 3:1: "In the same way, you wives, be in subjection to your husbands, so that if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives." And what did apostle Paul say about going back to old territories? Romans 15:20: "In this way, indeed, I made it my aim not to declare the good news where the name of Christ had already been made known, so as not to build on another man’s foundation; 21 but just as it is written: “Those who received no report about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” So we see that apostle Paul was not interested in preaching there where somebody already had preached. We should see that preaching is not a limitless activity. To the contrary when a territory has been worked through, then it is finished. Also Jesus told to enter a city and find the deserving ones. And that was it. He did not tell to come back to people that refused to receive the good news. Instead he instructed to show them that we are finished with them by saying: "Further, he said to them: “Wherever you enter into a home, stay there until you leave that place. 11 And wherever a place will not receive you or listen to you, on going out from there, shake off the dirt that is on your feet for a witness to them." -Mark 6:10 So in this way in the first century the territories were quickly covered and finished. Have you ever wondered why there is so little push for preaching activity in the letters to the congregations in the Christian Greek scriptures? That must be the reason. They had already covered their territories and the apostles did not see any need to push first century christians to go back to uninterested persons. Actually that would be against Jesus' instructions and that would be unreasonable. Instead the letters to the congregations are filled with instructions on how to become a good and acceptable person for God. That is the thing the letters to the congregations are focused on. Then there are also scriptures telling that the first century christians should always be bold to confess their faith in Jesus. But confessing faith in Jesus is understandably not the same as preaching. We understand that confessing faith means only that when we are asked if we believe in Jesus, we confess and say "Yes, I believe in Jesus". Philippians 2:11 "and every tongue should openly acknowledge [confess, Kingdom Interlinear] that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." Romans 10:9 "For if you publicly declare [confess, Kingdom Interlinear] with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved." 1 John 4:15 "Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is God’s Son, God remains in union with such one and he in union with God" Luke 12:8 “I say to you, everyone who acknowledges [confess, Kingdom Interlinear] me before men, the Son of man will also acknowledge[confess, Kingdom Interlinear] him before the angels of God." 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone who demands of you a reason for the hope you have, but doing so with a mild temper and deep respect. Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold firmly the public declaration [confession, Kingdom Interlinear] of our hope without wavering, for the one who promised is faithful.24 And let us consider one another so as to incite to love and fine works, Hebrews 13:15 Through him let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that make public declaration [confessing, Kingdom Interlinear] to his name. 16 Moreover, do not forget to do good and to share what you have with others, for God is well-pleased with such sacrifices. Revelation 2:13 ‘I know where you are dwelling, that is, where the throne of Satan is; and yet you keep holding fast to my name, and you did not deny your faith in me even in the days of Anʹti·pas, my faithful witness, who was killed by your side, where Satan is dwelling. Is it not evident, that where the territory once has been covered, there is no requirement to go back. But every time we are asked about our faith we confess that we believe in Jesus as our Lord and also that we believe that Jehovah is the True God. What can we focus on instead? Hebrews 13:16 says: "Moreover, do not forget to do good and to share what you have with others, for God is well-pleased with such sacrifices." Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another so as to incite to love and fine works, Matthew 5:16 Likewise, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens. Ephesians 2:10 We are God’s handiwork and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God determined in advance for us to walk in them. Titus 3:8 that those who have believed God may keep their minds focused on maintaining fine works…...14 But let our people also learn to maintain fine works so as to help in cases of urgent need, so that they may not be unproductive. 1 Timothy 5:4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let these learn first to practice godly devotion in their own household and to repay their parents and grandparents what is due them, for this is acceptable in God’s sight. 5 Now the woman who is truly a widow and left destitute has put her hope in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day. 9 A widow is to be put on the list if she is not less than 60 years old, was the wife of one husband, 10 having a reputation for fine works, if she raised children, if she practiced hospitality, if she washed the feet of holy ones, if she assisted the afflicted, if she devoted herself to every good work. 2 Thessalonians 1: 11 To that very end we always pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling and with his power perform completely all the good that he pleases and every work of faith. 12 This is so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you in union with him, according to the undeserved kindness of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:12 To such people we give the order and exhortation in the Lord Jesus Christ that they should work quietly and eat food they themselves earn.13 For your part, brothers, do not give up in doing good. 1 Thessalonians 4: 11 Make it your aim to live quietly and to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we instructed you, 12 so that you may walk decently in the eyes of people outside and not need anything. Colossians 1:10 so as to walk worthily of Jehovah* in order to please him fully as you go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God;+ Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste,* whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering* these things.+ 9 The things that you learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these,+ and the God of peace will be with you. John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. Yes, we can have lot of things to do in the Lord's work, without preaching on our territories after we have gone through them and found the worthy ones. And have you thought about that nobody preached in Jerusalem the final 3 and half years before its destruction, because all christians had fled.
  10. If there is still somebody interested in documentaries about hidden powerbrokers, then this is a perfect one:
  11. Thanks, I am glad you watched that documentary. I am amazed that you already know these things. And I think you know the facts that are in the other documentaries I posted in the previous post. Yesterday and today I have been listening with earphones to these documentaries while working on a house construction site. It was about 8 years ago I first saw these documentaries. I learned a lot at once how politics work. I never imagined that there are such hidden power structures and why they organize constant wars somewhere. And I was very excited about these facts, because it gives many ideas on how Revelation will play out up to Armageddon. And really a flight to a wilderness would be a good idea to be shielded from the NWO the powerful people want to set up. Revelation 12:14 But the two wings of the great eagle+ were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is to be fed for a time and times and half a time*+ away from the face of the serpent.+
  12. @Arauna Hi Arauna, I have found for you more documentaries about how politics really work in view of Revelation 17:18 And the woman+ whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.” This short documentary reports on the power of CFR, Council of Foreign Relations. Have you heard about Alex Jones, who has been fighting the "New World Order"? His documentaries are very revealing about UN, NWO, secret societies and more. And:
  13. @Arauna Hi, you have a lot of knowledge about UN and world affairs. What do you know about the Federal Reserve? And who owns it? And what are the objectives of the Federal Reserve? And how are the owners of the Federal Reserve tied to UN? I think you would be excited to learn more. Here is a 7 minute video I would recommend you sOaXQJjYk1Y And here is a wonderful documentary explaining history since crusaiders: I think you would enjoy.
  14. I just draw the conclusion that it must be a litteral great city, because that is the explanation Revelation itself gives. The prostitute and the beast are the symbols, but the great city is the litteral thing. Just look once more, please, at the wording in the scripture that gives the definition in Revelation 17:18: "And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.” That is the clue to understand what the woman, the prostitute Babylon the Great means. But back to your question, how can it be said that one city is guilty to all the blood that has been shed on earth? That is sort of hyperbole, similar to the statment Jesus said in Luke 11:49 "That is why the wisdom of God also said: ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them, and they will kill and persecute some of them, 50 so that the blood of all the prophets spilled from the founding of the world may be charged against this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel+ down to the blood of Zech·a·riʹah, who was killed between the altar and the house.’ Yes, I tell you, it will be charged against this generation. But the problem with that great city is not the location itself of course. But it is the ruling class of that city. Because Revelation 18:23 says "and by your spiritistic practices all the nations were misled." That indicates that the ruling class of that city are involved in spiritism. What do we know about spiritistic practices of the ruling class? It is well known that in USA and other places the influencial people have usually joined masonic secret societies. And there they practice spiritism. Through masonic societies the ruling class in USA have a strong grip over the kings of the earth. And the masonic cult is ancient according to their own words, and they have through thousands of years spured kings of empires to war. Revelation 17: 9-11 explains this feature, that the depraved spiritistic woman, Babylon the Great has been present at the emperors of the great empires of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rom. Looks like USA is regarded as a modern extension of the Roman empire, the sixth "king". And then after that the seventh empire will rule for a short time, 42 months as it is revealed in Revelation 13:1,2,5: "And it [the dragon] stood still on the sand of the sea. And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, but on its heads blasphemous names. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority. ......5 It was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and it was given authority to act for 42 months. Revelation 17:9-11: "This calls for a mind that has wisdom: The seven heads mean seven mountains, where the woman sits on top. And there are seven kings: Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet arrived; but when he does arrive, he must remain a short while. And the wild beast that was but is not, it is also an eighth king, but it springs from the seven, and it goes off into destruction." So as a conclusion to the question how Babylon the Great is guilty to all those who have been slaughtered on earth? That is because the ruling class of Babylon the Great are part of ancient spiritistic masonry and they have spured kings to bloody wars though out history. For example in Egypt in Moses' time the Pharaoh had magicians who influenced him. In Babylon when Daniel was there, there were also all kinds of magicians counceling Nebucadnessar.
  15. That's correct. Also President Trump has shown his cold attitude toward UN. USA has lately gathered more antipathy against itself in the world. And great players in the world like Putin know where the culprits of US policy sit and live. Mainly in New York where Council of Foreign Relations is based, an association driving US foreign policy, which is constant war. The world is getting sick of that. Even Trump promised to end these stupid wars, But he is unable to change the american deep state. So the world will see that there will be only one option. Well first in the end of the biblical 3 and half years, the American beast has to be destroyed by God. After that only will UN dare to destroy New York with its warmongeres.
  16. As I remember WT organization teaches that God's kingdom was "born" in 1914 based on Revelation 12: "So down the great dragon+ was hurled, the original serpent,+ the one called Devil+ and Satan,+ who is misleading the entire inhabited earth;+ he was hurled down to the earth,+ and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 I heard a loud voice in heaven say:“Now have come to pass the salvation+ and the power and the Kingdom of our God+ and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!+" So here I have just recently remarked yet an other discrepancy. The WT teaches that Satan was not exactly in 1914 hurled down to earth, but around 1918 if I remember right. That is because some other calculations with 1260 days and events with WT society, did not start happening in 1914. This in itself throws doubt on the whole idea about 1914. It really looks like the WT organization by force tried to fit prophecies to events and dates too early before their right time. The events just do not fit the prophecies in many ways.
  17. @Arauna There is a possibility that it will begin very soon. Because Donald Trump has said he will pull out troops from Syria. Well he has promised, but yet not fulfilled. But this fit Daniel 11:29“At the time appointed he (USA) will return and come against the south. (Syria) But this time will not be as it was before, 30 for the ships of Kitʹtim+ will come against him, and he will be humbled.“He will go back (Pull back troops from Syria) and hurl denunciations* against the holy covenant+ and act effectively; and he will go back and will give attention to those leaving the holy covenant. 31 And arms* will stand up, proceeding from him; and they will profane the sanctuary,+ the fortress, and remove the constant feature.*+“And they will put in place the disgusting thing that causes desolation.+ Then in Daniel 12:11 we get the information that gives a time line from the event above: And from the time that the constant feature*+ has been removed and the disgusting thing that causes desolation has been put in place,+ there will be 1,290 days.12 “Happy is the one who keeps in expectation*and who arrives at the 1,335 days! The "disgusting thing " can hardly be Ligue of Nations or UN. The "disgusting thing" should be some kind of idol. It is the same as the image of the beast, which should represent an idol for worship of the beast. In the first case, in the first fulfillment as explained in the WT the "disgusting thing" were the Roman idolatrous standards. So I expect that the headquarters of Jehovah's witnesses will be defiled by a symbol of a beast. And that will mark the begining of the 3 and half years. An other thing that speaks against the idea that Babylon the Great is religions in general is the "man of lawlessness". The Bible says that Jesus himself will kill him with his spirit from his mouth. 2 Thessalonians 2:8. But as we know God will instead use UN to destroy Babylon the Great.
  18. Can't they be right on that? They are after all spreading Bibles? That also speaks against the idea that they are Babylon the Great. Could they just be those about whom Jesus said, who will say: Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in your name?
  19. Faith in Jesus is what Jehovah God wants. God's word contrasts that with putting faith in men. Psalms 146:3 Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son,+ so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.+ 17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.+ 18 Whoever exercises faith in him is not to be judged.+ Whoever does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God…...35 The Father loves the Son+ and has given all things into his hand.+ 36 The one who exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life;+ the one who disobeys the Son will not see life,+ but the wrath of God remains upon him. John 6:28 So they said to him: “What must we do to carry out the works of God?” 29 In answer Jesus said to them: “This is the work of God, that you exercise faith in the one whom he sent.”.....40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life,+ and I will resurrect+ him on the last day.” John 12:44 However, Jesus called out and said: “Whoever puts faith in me puts faith not only in me but also in him who sent me;+ 45 and whoever sees me sees also the One who sent me.+ 46 I have come as a light into the world,+ so that everyone putting faith in me may not remain in the darkness.+ 47 But if anyone hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I came, not to judge the world, but to save the world.+ 48 Whoever disregards me and does not receive my sayings has one to judge him. The word that I have spoken is what will judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of my own initiative, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that his commandment means everlasting life.+ So whatever I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me. Matthew 11:6 Happy is the one who finds no cause for stumbling in me.” 1 Thessalonians 1:3 for we continually remember your faithful work, your loving labor, and your endurance because of your hope+ in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father. Colossians 1:3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all the holy ones. Colossians 2:5 Though I am absent in body, I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order+ and the firmness of your faith in Christ.+ 6 Therefore, just as you have accepted Christ Jesus the Lord, go on walking in union with him, 7 being rooted and built up in him+ and being stabilized in the faith,+ just as you were taught, and overflowing with thanksgiving.+ Philippians 3: 3 For we are those with the real circumcision,+ we who are rendering sacred service by God’s spirit and boasting in Christ Jesus+ and who do not base our confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:8 What is more, I do indeed also consider all things to be loss on account of the excelling value of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have taken the loss of all things and I consider them as a lot of refuse,* that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in union with him, not because of my own righteousness from following the Law, but because of the righteousness that is through faith+ in Christ,+ the righteousness from God based on faith. Philippians 4:1 Consequently, my brothers whom I love and long for, my joy and crown,+ stand firm+ in this way in the Lord, my beloved ones. Hebrews 1:1 Long ago God spoke to our forefathers by means of the prophets on many occasions and in many ways.+ 2 Now at the end of these days he has spoken to us by means of a Son, And Jesus asked: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? Matthew 24:45. First of all, this is a question. And of course a faithful slave should not distort Jesus' sayings or ignore any of his sayings. And we would be wise to check with the Holy Scriptures if a slave claiming to be a discreet and faithful slave really teaches what Jesus taught.
  20. Dear brothers and sisiters. This week I have continued to read the Christian Greek scriptures and I have taken note of many important scriptures. And I become more and more aware of the importance of becoming a good person, to become holy. And that should naturally be most urgent for the anointed who must in a few years from now become worthy of being taken to heaven. Here I have gathered several scriptures saying that. Colossians 1:22 he has now reconciled by means of that one’s fleshly body through his death, in order to present you holy and unblemished and open to no accusation before him+—…..26......But now it has been revealed to his holy ones,+27 to whom God has been pleased to make known among the nations the glorious riches of this sacred secret,+ which is Christ in union with you, the hope of his glory.+ 28 He is the one we are proclaiming, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in union with Christ.+ 29 To this end I am indeed working hard, exerting myself with his strength that is operating powerfully within me. Philippians 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that the one who started a good work in you will bring it to completion+ until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:9 And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more+ with accurate knowledge+ and full discernment;+ 10 that you may make sure of the more important things,+ so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others+ up to the day of Christ; Philippians 2:15 so that you may come to be blameless and innocent, children of God+ without a blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation,+ among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world,+ 16 keeping a tight grip on the word of life.+ Then I may have reason for rejoicing in Christ’s day. 1 Thessalonians 5: 23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may the spirit and soul* and body of you brothers, sound in every respect, be preserved blameless at the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.+ 1 Thessalonians 3: 12 Moreover, may the Lord cause you to increase, yes, to abound in love for one another+ and for all, just as we do for you, 13 so that he may make your hearts firm, blameless in holiness before our God+ and Father at the presence of our Lord Jesus+ with all his holy ones. 2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved ones, since you are awaiting these things, do your utmost to be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace. Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. Philippians 3: 12 Not that I have already received it or am already made perfect, but I am pressing on+ to see if I may also lay hold on that for which Christ Jesus selected me.*+ 13 Brothers, I do not yet consider myself as having taken hold of it; but one thing is certain: Forgetting the things behind+ and stretching forward to the things ahead,+ 14 I am pressing on toward the goal for the prize+ of the upward call+ of God by means of Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore, let those of us who are mature+ be of this mental attitude, and if you are mentally inclined otherwise in any respect, God will reveal the above attitude to you.
  21. Thanks JW Insider for your comments. You gave interesting details. The above one I liked to hear. And the rest about how people started to move out businesses from NYC. You thought about a very significant point. Following that pattern the period of time times and half a time in the Bible should logically occur right before Armageddon. And really, why would Jehovah tell us prophetically about events around WT society 100 years ago? Would it not be much more of spiritual value if it concerned Jehovah's witnesses before Armageddon now when there are millions of Jehovah's witnesses? Add to this that most JWs find it very hard to understand the explanations in the litterature concerning 1260 days/42 months/time times and half a time. I remember how that was last time when we studied the Revelation Climax book. At least here the brothers were not happy studing that book for a third time. Because most of the explanations are not convincing, thus impossible to understand. Some maybe need to think that Armageddon could come in a very near future, like within weeks in order not to slip away from God. But if we understand how severe the persecution will be during the 3 and half year period leading up to the destruction of Babylon the Great, then we will start really seriously search for spiritual things and guidance in God's word. Because that is the only thing one will care about in a spiritual survival mode. At least that is the effect it has had on me. Maybe the shortest answer to that question is in Daniel 7:11 "I kept watching at that time because of the sound of the arrogant* words that the horn was speaking;+ I watched until the beast was killed and its body was destroyed and it was given over to be burned in the fire. 12 But as for the rest of the beasts,+ their rulerships were taken away, and their lives were prolonged for a time and a season. “I kept watching as that horn made war on the holy ones, and it was prevailing against them,+22 until the Ancient of Days+ came and judgment was rendered in favor of the holy ones of the Supreme One,+ and the appointed time arrived for the holy ones to take possession of the kingdom.+23 “This is what he said: ‘As for the fourth beast, there is a fourth kingdom that will come to be on the earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour all the earth and will trample it down and crush it.+ 24 As for the ten horns, ten kings will rise up out of that kingdom; and still another one will rise up after them, and he will be different from the first ones, and he will humiliate three kings.+ 25 He will speak words against the Most High,+ and he will continually harass the holy ones of the Supreme One. He will intend to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.*+ 26 But the Court sat, and they took away his rulership, in order to annihilate him and to destroy him completely." We see here that before this arrogant beast is destroyed it will have time, times and half a time, that is 3 and half years to 'harass', or persecute the 'holy ones' and speak against the Most High. So from this scripture it is quite evident that there must occur a 3 and half year persecution before Armageddon. And closely related to Armageddon will be the destruction of Babylon the Great. This chapter 7 in Daniel essentially indicates that all the occurances in the Bible mentioning 3 and half years in various forms (1260 days/42months/time times half a time) end near the time of Armageddon. Here is a very similar prophecy in Revelation: Revelation 13:5 "It was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and it was given authority to act for 42 months.+ 6 And it opened its mouth in blasphemies+ against God to blaspheme his name and his dwelling place, even those residing in heaven.+7 It was permitted to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them,+ and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue* and nation." 15 "And it was permitted to give breath* to the image of the wild beast, so that the image of the wild beast should both speak and cause to be killed all those who refuse to worship the image of the wild beast." We see some striking similarities between the arrogant beast in Daniel 7 and Revelatio 13. And the time it will act is also the same. But in Revelatrion we get additional information on what the persecution will be based. Does it not look like these scriptures fortell that there will come a time of persecution during 3 and half years before Armageddon?
  22. I can not understand how elimination of religion would affect commerce so much. But if New York was suddenly destroyed by nukes from above and then flooded by a tsunami caused by underwater nuclear blasts. That would surely cause a serious commercial disruption. Are not international trades settled in New York?
  23. Those are valid questions. And I am convinced that Jehovah's witnesses as a people play an important role in God's purpose. I am convinced that Jehovah's witnesses will form the "great crowd" that come out of the great tribulation. But as you said it is interesting to explore what else there is in the Bible, because it is hard to get any sensible new light from the GB. So I recommend you all to continue go to meetings and to associate with your congregation. I think it is a good thing, that my wife and my children go regularly to meetings. There are always good biblical things to learn. But then there are things that are incorrect and knowing the truth about those things should be a plus while staying in the congregation. That will also be beneficial for the future, because the earlier you know the truth the easier it will be later. That is why Jesus told his disciples in advance what would happen, for example about his death. At that moment they could not believe what he told them. But after his resurrection they remembered that Jesus had many times already told them that this would happen. And I really do not want you to blindly believe anything. I want that just like when you studied the Bible and you understood basic truths checking scriptures that made sense, you now likewise look at the scriptures I present and you draw the correct conclusions. Your faith should be based on understanding as it was in the beginning. We should only trust the Bible, because it is the truth and God's word. But we should not trust what men or women tell claiming to be God's mouth pieces. And I understand that it is hard to believe new things, even when scriptures are quite clear. After all we are not so much better than Jesus' 12 apostles. But earnest effort and prayer and investigation is what will make the difference.
  24. That's right. Because very shortly after the end of the 3 and half years Babylon the Great is destroyed. And the book of Daniel in the Bible, chapters 7,11,12 and Revelation 11,12 and 13 describe the persecution that will be devastating during those final 3 and half years leading right up to the destruction of Babylon the Great. Sadly the WT organization does not take the warning seriously because they teach those those prophecies do not apply on anything coming in a near future. Because they teach those prophecies got their fulfilment already about 100 years ago. The Revelation tells that many will be killed for refusing to worship the beast or refusing to take the mark of the beast. @JW Insider I don't think the GB connects Babylon the Great to New York. But if I remember right I have heard that they thought it was best to leave New York after the hurrican Sandy struck New York in 2012, with prolonged power outages and flooding. But I believe Jehovah God has influenced them to take this decision, despite them not understanding that Babylon the Great is New York. Hopefully someone will be able to explain this prophecy about Babylon the Great and New York to the brothers and sister living there. But untill the destruction of Babylon the Great there will be a minimun 3 and half years. That is the prophetic special time period in end time according to prophecies in the Bible. Unfortunately WT organization does not take seriously the warnings about the persecutions that will happen during that time because they teach that the 3 and half years prophetic time period belong to the past, to something that happened 100 years ago. But there is no need for panic. The destruction of Babylon the Great is still at least 3 and half year away. Because the 3 and half years have not yet started.
  25. An old WT article tells what brothers were focusing on in Charles Taze Russell's times. Here is a quote from WT online library, quoting wt 54, p. 658-659: "In those former years the subject of the development of the “fruits and graces of the spirit,” as it was generally called, was given much attention. With Galatians 5:22, 23 as a basis, it was a favorite theme chosen for many talks, often in the form of a symposium. Invariably, however, the line taken was to show how each individual must cultivate within himself along the lines of “character development” the various qualities detailed by the apostle." I agree this is important for Christians. How else will there be peace and love in the congregations and in Christian families? And this is especially important for anointed because the Bible says they have to be very pure in order to be accepted to God's heavenly kingdom. Here are some of the multitude of scriptures pointing out what is bad character. And it is nice to see the same message in different Bible books. Here are of course not all of them. So I invite everyone to add more scriptures to this topic about what are unacceptable personality traits and what is a Christ-like personality. To read the following scriptures in this post might take 10 minutes. James 1:26 If any man thinks he is a worshipper of God but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile. James 1: 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: Everyone must be quick to listen, slow to speak,+ slow to anger,+ 20 for man’s anger does not bring about God’s righteousness.+ 21 Therefore, put away all filthiness and every trace of badness,*+ and accept with mildness the implanting of the word that is able to save you. James 2:5 So, too, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it makes great brags. See how small a fire it takes to set a great forest ablaze! 6 The tongue is also a fire.+ The tongue represents a world of unrighteousness among our body members, for it defiles all the body+ and sets the whole course of life* on fire, and it is set on fire by Ge·henʹna.* 7 For every kind of wild animal and bird and reptile* and sea creature is to be tamed and has been tamed by humans. 8 But no human can tame the tongue. It is unruly and injurious, full of deadly poison.+ 9 With it we praise Jehovah,* the Father, and yet with it we curse men who have come into existence “in the likeness of God.”+ 10 Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for things to happen this way.+ 11 A spring does not cause the fresh* water and the bitter water to bubble out of the same opening, does it? 12 My brothers, a fig tree cannot produce olives, or a grapevine figs, can it?+ Neither can salt water produce fresh water. 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him by his fine conduct demonstrate works performed with a mildness that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and contentiousness* in your hearts, do not be bragging and lying against the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above; it is earthly,+ animalistic, demonic. 16 For wherever there are jealousy and contentiousness,* there will also be disorder and every vile thing. James 4:11 Stop speaking against [speak negatively about] one another, brothers.+ Whoever speaks against a brother or judges his brother speaks against law and judges law. James 5:9 Do not grumble* against one another, brothers, so that you do not get judged.+ Look! The Judge is standing before the doors Titus 3:2 to speak injuriously of no one, not to be quarrelsome, but to be reasonable,+ displaying all mildness toward all men. Titus 3:9 But have nothing to do with foolish arguments and genealogies and disputes and fights over the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile. 2 Timothy 2:23 Further, reject foolish and ignorant debates, knowing that they produce fights. 24 For a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle* toward all, qualified to teach, showing restraint when wronged, 25 instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed. Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. Galatians 4:19 Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality,*+ uncleanness, brazen conduct,*+ 20 idolatry, spiritism,*+ hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects, 21 envy, drunkenness,+ wild parties,* and things like these.+ I am forewarning you about these things, the same way I already warned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom…..26 Let us not become egotistical,+ stirring up competition with one another,+ envying one another. Ephesians 5:17 So this is what I say and bear witness to in the Lord, that you should no longer go on walking just as the nations also walk,+ in the futility* of their minds.+ 18 They are in darkness mentally and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the insensitivity* of their hearts. 19 Having gone past all moral sense, they gave themselves over to brazen conduct*+ to practice every sort of uncleanness with greediness.20 But you did not learn the Christ to be like this, 21 if, indeed, you heard him and were taught by means of him, just as truth is in Jesus. 22 You were taught to put away the old personality+ that conforms to your former course of conduct and that is being corrupted according to its deceptive desires.+ 23 And you should continue to be made new in your dominant mental attitude,*+ 24 and should put on the new personality+ that was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty. 25 Therefore, now that you have put away deceit, each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,+ because we are members belonging to one another.+ 26 Be wrathful, but do not sin;+ do not let the sun set while you are still angry;+ 27 do not give the Devil an opportunity.*+ 28 Let the one who steals steal no more; rather, let him do hard work, doing good work with his hands,+ so that he may have something to share with someone in need.+ 29 Let a rotten word not come out of your mouth,+ but only what is good for building up as the need may be, to impart what is beneficial to the hearers.+ 30 Also, do not be grieving* God’s holy spirit,+ with which you have been sealed+ for a day of releasing by ransom.+ 31 Put away from yourselves every kind of malicious bitterness,+ anger, wrath, screaming, and abusive speech,+ as well as everything injurious.+ 32 But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate,+ freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you. Ephesians 5:1 Therefore, become imitators of God,+ as beloved children, 2 and go on walking in love,+ just as the Christ also loved us*+ and gave himself for us* as an offering and a sacrifice, a sweet fragrance to God.+3 Let sexual immorality* and every sort of uncleanness or greediness not even be mentioned among you,+ just as is proper for holy people;+ 4 neither shameful conduct nor foolish talking nor obscene jesting—things that are not befitting—but rather the giving of thanks.+ 5 For you know this, recognizing it for yourselves, that no sexually immoral person*+ or unclean person or greedy person,+ which means being an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of the Christ and of God.+ 6 Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. Philippians 1:9 And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more+ with accurate knowledge+ and full discernment;+ 10 that you may make sure of the more important things,+ so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others+ up to the day of Christ; 11 and that you may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ,+ to God’s glory and praise. Colossians 1:21 Indeed, you who were once alienated and enemies because your minds were on the works that were wicked, 22 he has now reconciled by means of that one’s fleshly body through his death, in order to present you holy and unblemished and open to no accusation before him+—.......28 He is the one we are proclaiming, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in union with Christ. Colossians 3:1 Deaden, therefore, your body members+ that are on the earth as respects sexual immorality,* uncleanness, uncontrolled sexual passion,+ hurtful desire, and greediness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of those things the wrath of God is coming. 7 That is how you too used to conduct yourselves* in your former way of life.*+ 8 But now you must put them all away from you: wrath, anger, badness,+ abusive speech,+ and obscene talk+ out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another.+ Strip off the old personality*+ with its practices, 10 and clothe yourselves with the new personality,+ which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it,+ 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythʹi·an,* slave, or freeman; but Christ is all things and in all.+12 Accordingly, as God’s chosen ones,+ holy and loved, clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion,+ kindness, humility,*+ mildness,+ and patience.+ 13 Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely+ even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another.+ Just as Jehovah* freely forgave you, you must also do the same.+ 14 But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love,+ for it is a perfect bond of union.+ 15 Also, let the peace of the Christ rule in your hearts,*+ for you were called to that peace in one body. And show yourselves thankful. 16 Let the word of the Christ reside in you richly in all wisdom….. As conclusion to these scriptures we can agree that putting on the new Christ-like personality is very important part of serving God. James 1:26 If any man thinks he is a worshipper of God but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile. As I stated above, I welcome everyone to add more similar scriptures to this topic. This will help us to put on the new personality. I think the more scriptures we read about that, the greater will be the impact from God's word.
