I couldn't insert the tweet but it says:
A close family friend of the 9-year-old boy who was wounded in yesterday’s downtown shooting says his left femur is shattered, but the boy is remarkably poised and positive. “He has never cried once,” he told us. The boy was on an outing w/ a group of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    Prevention
    How to protect yourself
There are currently no vaccines available to protect you against human coronavirus infection. You may be able to reduce your risk of infection by doing the following
wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands avoid close contact with people who are sick How to protect others
If you have cold-like symptoms, you can help protect others by doing the following
stay home while you are sick avoid close contact with others cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands clean and disinfect objects and surfaces Treatment
There are no specific treatments for illnesses caused by human coronaviruses. Most people with common human coronavirus illness will recover on their own. However, you can do some things to relieve your symptoms
take pain and fever medications (Caution: do not give Aspirin to children) use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat and cough If you are mildly sick, you should
drink plenty of liquids stay home and rest If you are concerned about your symptoms, you should see your healthcare provider.

An outbreak of a novel coronavirus was initially identified during mid-December 2019 in the city of Wuhan in central China, as an emerging cluster of people with pneumonia with no clear cause. The outbreak was linked primarily to stallholders who worked at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, which also sold live animals. Chinese scientists isolated a new strain of coronavirus – given the initial designation of 2019-nCoV – which has been found to be at least 70 percent similar in genome sequence to SARS-CoV. With the development of a specific diagnostic PCR test for detecting the infection, a number of cases were confirmed in people directly linked to the market and in those who were not directly associated with it. Whether this virus is of the same severity or lethality as SARS is unclear

The World Health Organization (WHO) acknowledged that the respiratory illness is an emergency in China, but said it is too early to declare it a global one. - Thursday, January 23, 2020 (Evidently they were waiting to see "person to person spread outside of mainland China" before calling it "global") Nyka Alexander explains in this video - Then they finally call it a Worldwide Emergency a week later but that no travel should be inhibited.

In general, coronaviruses spread like the flu:
Through the air by coughing or sneezing. Through close personal contact, such as touching a person or shaking hands. By touching a contaminated surface then touching your mouth, nose or eyes. The same precautions you’d take for the flu generally apply to coronaviruses:
Wash your hands well and often. Cough or sneeze into your sleeve — not into your hands. Keep your distance from sick people. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is studying the new virus and may be making specific recommendations if needed. Carole Mathews and Mike Cotey of Employment Security’s Safety Program are monitoring news and will pass on any new information.

    A Future with Less Screens
Mojo Vision is all about "invisible computing." The company, whose founders include industry veterans from the likes of Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, wants to reduce our reliance on screens. Instead of pulling out your phone to check why it buzzed in the middle of a conversation, look to the corner of your eye to activate an interface that will tell you in a split second.
"We want to create a technology that lets you be you, lets you look like you; doesn't change your appearance; it doesn't make you act weird walking down the street," said Mike Wiemer, cofounder and chief technology officer at Mojo Vision. "It's very discreet and frankly, substantially, most of the time it doesn't show you anything."
Making smart contact lenses is no simple task, though—even Alphabet's Verily subsidiary had to refocus its Smart Lens program after hitting a few snags. You need to have the right sensors at the right sizes, the power to make it all work, and a display and image sensor, too. These sensors range from custom wireless radios to motion sensors for eye tracking and image stabilization.

Isabella reacted to admin in The origins of the term “Bluetooth”
As it turns out, the ubiquitous wireless technology’s name has nothing to do with being blue or tooth-like in appearance and has everything to do with medieval Scandinavia.
Harald Bluetooth was the Viking king of Denmark between 958 and 970. King Harald was famous for uniting parts of Denmark and Norway into one nation and converting the Danes to Christianity.
So, what does a turn-of-the-last-millennium Viking king have to do with wireless communication? He was a uniter!
So his name was given to the wireless link that unites and connects so many devices together.
The Bluetooth logo is also a combination of “H” and “B” , the initials of Harald Bluetooth written in the ancient letters (runes) used by vikings (picture below)

Bengaluru doctors save life of 4-year-old boy with bloodless bone marrow transplant
The boy belongs to the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith, the followers of which cannot take blood transfusions as treatment.

It is not rare for doctors to take young children for bone marrow transplants. In fact, it is one of the most effective treatments for certain forms of leukaemia and other disorders. However, when the individual in question belongs to a faith which doesn’t permit them to get a normal blood transfusion, how do doctors tackle such a challenge? Bloodless bone marrow transplants are given to individuals belonging to the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith, and this was exactly the method used by doctors in Bengaluru to save a 4-year-old boy.
Ittai James Moshi and his parents hail from Tanzania. The boy’s parents are both IT professionals who moved to Bengaluru in 2018 for his treatment. He was diagnosed with a form of abdominal cancer and required a bone marrow transplant to treat him. However, the standard procedure to initiate a bone marrow transplant involves getting a blood transfusion. As Ittai and his parents belong to the Jehovah’s Witnesses community, it was not allowed for him to undergo the routine transplant.

Isabella reacted to James Thomas Rook Jr. in North Carolina: Jehovah’s Witnesses scrambled to safety after member shot outside NC worship hall
    UPDATE: Friday, Jan 17, 2020
I just talked to an Elder at my old congregation, and he said that the assailant fired two bullets into the car of the Congregation Coordinator, Lance Keel, and his wife threw her daughter to the seat as a bullet passed over her head.  She was grazed by one bullet on her rib area, .... "merely a flesh wound", that created a groove, but not a hole.
The Elder said that the whole congregation was, and continues to be  traumatized (the police kept them in place at the Kingdom Hall until 11PM, to try and find the assailant, who got away.) This Saturday they are having a special needs meeting with the whole congregation to decide on new cameras and lighting to put up, as this event happened in the middle of the parking lot, away from the Kingdom Hall.
I mentioned that I knew the glass door was NOT bullet resistant, but he said one of the Brothers was putting a layer of plastic film on the glass (?)  I mentioned to him that they make transparent aluminum now (mostly nitrogen, actually..)  which will stop a 50 caliber machine gun bullet at point blank range, at which his eyes glazed over.
I suppose they will also formulate a plan (satire alert!) so that if anything like this happens again, the congregation will throw their cell phones at the shooter.

I was not there, Wednesday night, as my wife and I started attending a different congregation that attends the same Kingdom Hall about three weeks ago, but the Sister was shot at...not shot.
The report I got when I asked a Gastonia police officer this Thursday night, was that the Sister had just gotten into her car, and closed the door, when one of three suspects who had just robbed a nearby store, and were escaping on foot, tried to hijack her car, and shot the car twice, attempting to get her to relinquish it, which she did not, and she was hit with "shrapnel", which was not specified, but which might have been fragments of bullets, or broken glass.
    Very minor injuries.
The front door of the Kingdom Hall is a plate glass door, in a steel frame, and inside are normally stationed two Brothers who sit in chairs, one directly inside the door, which is locked during the meetings, as a doorman, to open it for congregants coming late, etc.,(he can of course, see who is on the other side ...), and another Brother in a chair, just inside the auditorium.
I have referred to them as "Brothers Bullet Catchers", in the past.
The door is NOT "bullet proof", according to an Elder I asked, about  six months ago.

    ........................................................................................................................................
" You only need four things to win a gunfight.
Excellent reflexes and a working handgun of appropriate caliber,
To be able to hit what you aim at, and
The will to take another man's life.
The rest is up to divine providence, and pure dumb luck."

But then again, Four Sisters were killed in an automobile accident in Grand Prairie, Texas, WHILE ENGAGED IN FIELD SERVICE, Texas, years ago, when a vehicle ran a stop light and T-boned their car in an intersection.
Jehovah does not interfere with ANYTHING in the modern day.
"chance and circumstance befall us all. ..."
....... be careful out there, if you can manage it, and decide to do so.

Parts of my story I wrote here on this forum in defence of our blood stance - not the entire story.  Cancer is a horrible disease - especially in babies.
I was fortunate, South Africa at that time had some of the best infrastructure and surgeons in the world.
They wanted to give her blood during surgery (secretly) but one of the nurses was a JW. She protested.
She had an operation at 8 and half months that lasted the whole day!  It was on the spinal cord on both sides of the chest - 5 cm - large for a small baby.  They did a thoractomy - cut half the body open and removed it in this way.
The surgeon cauterized all the blood vessels as he worked..... she was so close to death, I was not allowed to see her until late that night.  The next day she breathed without machines. She healed fast after that..... usually these patients bleed for at least 21 days...... but after 2 days she stopped. They took the pipes out.
Directly after the surgery they gave her blood boosters.  She was a miracle - she went home on 5 or 6th day....( I cannot remember... accurately).
Afterwards I studied what happens in the body when you take blood. It was then I realized that if she had taken a drop of blood on such a major surgery she would have had anaphalactic shock and died.  Obedience to jehovah saved my child.....

Isabella got a reaction from Arauna in Pain into Pearls by Tie Bros
Bonus Point: Some pearls form naturally in clams and oysters. However, cultured pearls are different. They are formed when someone intentionally puts an irritant into an oyster triggering the defense mechanism. Similarly, some of our brothers and sisters may have suffered physical, verbal or sexual abuse. They did nothing wrong, something wrong was done to them. In these instances it can take years for them to learn to cope with the pain. Still, with God’s love and spirit, even such deep scars from the actions of others can create pearls. If this has happened to you, others who have suffered may see your pearl of strength and be encouraged to keep pressing on as well. Most importantly, Jehovah sees your pain and all you have done to keep moving forward despite it. In his eyes, that has more value than any pearl that has ever been found.
