I have not read it in the bible but that is a good point to consider. People do not realize how quickly the world turned wicked before the flood. And the period right before God decided t bring the flood saw a greater escalation because of the wicked angels interfering in earth's affairs. It was pretty bad. That is why it is logical that the world we are living in now will become as bad with wicked angels behind everything. Very violent, terrible sexual practices with an open hate for God.

Hengel has made much of the Jewish mystical book 3 Enoch, where Enoch, translated into heaven, becomes God's vizier and plenipotentiary. Metatron, "the prince of the world," and is even called "little Yahweh" (Son of God, p. 46). Indicates to me that it is not worth spending too much time on it. I do not want to be a scholar of the deep things of Satan but a scholar of the word of God. It is enough to know that it is a bogus book and make sure of that.

People today do not call these tall people Nephilim because Nephilim is not in the memory of the peoples... being talked about often... until recently ... because worship of them is underway under the direction of wicked angels. After the flood, the false religion at babel started as part of half-man half-god worship (many gods are pictured as half-god/men); Nephilim was in the consciousness of humankind at this time and especially the Israelites knew of this history. They called them out as nephilim but they were easily defeated by Joshua later on. This does not mean they were actually nephilim.

I meant that he was seeing the future Jehovah promised before he died. He seems to have been a prophet. A prophet is someone who lays out the word of Jehovah and brings Jehovah's judgement - not just one that predicts the future.

The Muslms who say they are peaceful will go along with a mob who puts someone under fatwa. They believe in one world government (a khalifate) and believe they must lift the sword to get it done. I beg to differ with you. I have read the Quran and have studied Sharia law as well as the history of Islam. Their prophet waged war every two to 3 months and paid his men with the booty taken (including women slaves). I preached among Muslims and wanted to free every woman from her lot. When the prophet died, the khalifs went to war with all the Arabian tribes until they were Muslim. Just for your information: the Rephaim and the Philistines are related. REPHAIM (Rephʹa·im). A tall people or tribe. There is uncertainty as to the meaning and origin of the name. Likely, they were called Rephaim because of being descendants of a man named Raphah. Enoch was a seventh generation grandson after Adam and Adam was still alive when Enoch was born. Enoch was a faithful man (approx 5th century after Adam) and would not have written a false history down. Enoch was “transferred so as not to see death,” which may mean that God put him in a prophetic trance and then terminated Enoch’s life because he had many enemies. He was a prophet of righteousness like Noah. Some Jewish zealot in the 2nd century decided to write this book and today it is used to spawn a lot of false teachings. The Hebrew scriptures were put together by Ezra in 5th century BCE. So the hebrew scriptures were already completed by the time a "person who called himself Enoch" decided to add some inaccurate stories to the bible. While there was a lot of Jewish oral tradition, it is doubtful that this written book was saved by Noah and survived the flood on the ark. The best preserved book of the book of Enoch is the Ethiopian one and those from Qumram in Aramaic. So it seems to have been some sects which used these books. The indications that this book is not inspired is its references to Enoch visiting the heavens a few times I quickly looked up its contents: a list of the main subjects: Content: 1–5.
