admin got a reaction from Isabella in All U.S. banks will now never go bankrupt no matter what!
The Federal Reserve Board on March 15, 2020 announced that starting March 26, 2020, no U.S. depository bank will need to keep fractional reserves of any kind. We are talking 0% reserves.
No matter how big their gambling losses in the derivative markets become (and they are rapidly piling up), they can stay in the banking business forever. U. S. Government will never shut them down.
And if they should "temporarily" run short of a little cash to pay the light bill and their executive bonuses, they can confiscate all of the depositor's money with a "bail-in", no questions asked.
Zero fractional reserves also allow all banks (big and small) to create an endless supply of money for themselves. There will be no control on the U.S. money supply. It's going to start "raining money" very shortly.

If you think about it.... why is Manhattan island so valuable compared to other islands?
    Location, location, location.....
And in the cryptocurrency world most have decided that Bitcoin is that location.

Tencent may have accidentally leaked real data on Wuhan virus deaths
Tencent briefly lists 154,023 infections and 24,589 deaths from Wuhan coronavirus

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — As many experts question the veracity of China's statistics for the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, Tencent over the weekend seems to have inadvertently released what is potentially the actual number of infections and deaths, which were astronomically higher than official figures.
On late Saturday evening (Feb. 1), Tencent, on its webpage titled "Epidemic Situation Tracker," showed confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019nCoV) in China as standing at 154,023, 10 times the official figure at the time. It listed the number of suspected cases as 79,808, four times the official figure.
The number of cured cases was only 269, well below the official number that day of 300. Most ominously, the death toll listed was 24,589, vastly higher than the 300 officially listed that day.
Moments later, Tencent updated the numbers to reflect the government's "official" numbers that day. Netizens noticed that Tencent has on at least three occasions posted extremely high numbers, only to quickly lower them to government-approved statistics.

@TrueTomHarley Actually.... it was rogue lawyers looking to sue people who post other people's photos in this case.
In the past they only had to ask .... maybe file a DMCA request to the admin of the site......that was all that was necessary.

IP Lawyers in Europe and elsewhere have upped their game to skip the normal steps above straight to sending out threatening cease and desist letters with "penalties" they are asking for in the thousands per photo.
Needless to say for such low budget sites like this one..... you do the risk / reward calculation in your head.

Hence.... closed to new members..... and closed to the public and hopefully their snooping attorneys.
I am hoping the ad revenue from existing users will pay for itself / storage etc....

At my dad's electronics lab we used to take a large Tesla coil and let the sparks fly out of it holding up a 2-by-4 the same way as above, and watch one of the sparks (like a constant little bolt of lightning) catch onto the board and start to burn a river of carbon until it got too close to our hand. Another thing the Tesla coil could do (besides making my sister's long hair stand on end) was to light up an unconnected fluorescent bulb that I was merely holding in my hand up near the sparks.

The law of supply and demand is an economic model used to determine the price of an asset in a market.
This law of supply and demand will therefore lead to an economic equilibrium for the price of an asset as well as the volume of trade.
An existing asset in limited quantity for which demand would be strong would necessarily see its price increase if we stick to this law.
Indeed, strong demand from buyers would allow sellers to sell at a higher price.

admin got a reaction from Isabella in Ulcerative colitis: bacteria findings raise hopes for new treatment.
    So cool....
inflammatory bowel diseases could be treated by introducing these “missing” acids into the colon.
Dr Aida Habtezion, a co-author of the study from Stanford University, told the Guardian the findings suggest a new approach to treating ulcerative colitis could be developed, based on introducing microbes or the substances they produce.
Many patients find current treatments do not work or have side-effects. “I think it brings another mechanism, a natural way, in which we can reconstitute and hopefully treat our patients,” Habtezion said.
Writing in the journal Cell Host & Microbe, the team report how they studied two groups of patients who had had their colons removed and pouches created. For one group, of 17 patients, this surgery was to treat ulcerative colitis whereas for the other group, of seven patients, it was because of a different condition that does not involve inflammation.
Certain bacteria in the gut are known to convert bile acids, produced by the liver, into other substances, called secondary bile acids – these substances have recently been suggested to have an anti-inflammatory role.

Covid-19 NOT being life threatening is a challenge?
To do what, count legs still standing up, and divide by two?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
t's NOT a pandemic because (  .... so far .... ) the Corona virus,  Covid-19, or Wuflu, by whatever name it is called daily, has affected about 80,000 people as of today's date, and "only" killed about 2700 people.
This means the death rate is about 3% ... even including the worst countries where treatment to keep you alive is minimal, while your body mounts a defense ... and the very old and infirm  are included in those statistics
It has symptoms like the common cold, or at worst, the flu .... part of the Corona family of "common cold" viruses, this one being labeled No. 19..
It's a respiratory disease in humans.
So far, that number of deaths .... is "reportedly" less than the "regular" variants of the flu.
Please feel free to check what I think I know, as my sources may have a hidden agenda.
The WHO (World Health Organization) has stated that as of today it does NOT meet the criteria for a pandemic.
To put this in perspective, Malaria, caused by mosquitos, KILLS ABOUT 100,000 PEOPLE A MONTH, continuously, worldwide. And has ... for a very long time.
My guess is that if you treat Wuflu with a CONSTANT barrage of treatments as you would for someone with severe asthma, who also has the "normal" flu, it is VERY survivable.
Statistics are made up of mostly those who do NOT have these resources, and by lack of resources, and education, are relatively doomed in advance.
THis whole thing reminds me of when William Randolph Hearst, once the owner of the nation's largest newspaper chain, artificially created news to sell newspapers, and eventually convinced the American people to demand Congress to declare war against Spain, who owned Cuba at the time.
He telegraphed his reporters in Havana, who had nothing to write about the supposed atrocities of Spain against the Cubans, to provide photographs, and he would make up the atrocities,
His telegram stated " "...you supply the pictures, I will supply the war".
In the newspaper business " If it bleeds, it leads!" ... and headlines sell papers.
    ... same thing.

Sounds good. Too bad he was just another typical snowflake conservative so fearful of anything close to economic equality. He lied about it ad nauseum, but never could completely backtrack on his support of the dictatorship of Pinochet in Chile. At least it helped him win a Nobel prize. His biggest influence on modern US economy is by practicing what US economists even more blatantly attempt today: to completely ignore built-in, structural, systemic problems of "free-market" capitalism and just treat them as anomalies that didn't really happen. Just like in Chile, he was fearful of what freedom would mean, and in some ways fearful of the very "free-market" capitalism he pretended to represent.
