"Witness" and others like him/her only ever criticize people but never offer anything to replace the beliefs they are trying to pull down. May Jehovah rebuke such people.

People lose houses and jobs for all sorts of reasons—to care for an aging family member, for example. They don’t cry about it for the rest of their lives. It was 45 years ago. They adjust and move on.

The Governing Body never ever said that 1975 was the end of this world, All that is written in the publications  is that it was 6,000 years since Adam`s creation, and people read that as a sign in their own minds that because of 6,000 years and Jesus would reign for 1,000 years that would make 7,000 years and it would be Jehovah ruling after that. No where in what the publications says, So stop living in a fantasy world world, 1975 was a great year because it cleansed the organization of people who was serving with a date in mind and not in the faith and looking to what the Bible says the sign would be for the last days. Oh by the way I`m very happy it didn1t come because I was not in the truth in 1975.

You believe the far left press - I know Africa- I have seen the callousness, the murders, the hunger and the extreme corruption of its leaders as well as the communist influence on the culture..  I know the murderous and violent mentality - you do not. Your naivity about Africa, present times in China (not that of a few years ago) and other subjects do not give me much hope about your insight. To you I sound like a crazy skeptic   but I have not lived in the American dream or the American bubble.  So let us just leave it at that.

I just think you think too much of your perceptive abilities and are taken in with your own "research capabilities"  which frankly, does not stand up to the immoral world we are living in today and the 'big brother dystopia'  which is already hanging around in most countries of the world and most people have not put 2 and 2 together yet. 
Researching the way you do was good enough 20 years ago.....  To do a Google or other search is not enough for the times we are living in. So pasting down a lot of articles may convince others - but I have lived it....... what about all the articles you do not see because of suppression of the real news.
The world is going downhill fast and the 'media propaganda'  is one of the main reasons for it. Owned by only 5 people in the world, the skewed media is killing all independent media that is still in existence. Soon we will only see the news they want us to see.  1984 was written by a man who had LIVED and fought for communism. He knew what he was talking about.  I suggest you read it again. 
As I said to you before - even the super capitalism in the world now resembles the ideology of karl Marx.  Communism and super capitalism are working together to create a new world order to bring "peace and security".
A world governed by a central body dictating one morality and ONE policy in a totalitarian way is on the horizon. And it is almost here. This is the UN bible prophecy (image of the beast) going into fulfillment right now as we speak. Bible prophecy is going into fulfillment where you will not be able to 'buy or sell ' if you go against the "one idea" promoted by a totalitarian government and break the "peace" by thinking independently.
Satan cannot bring peace to this world by allowing freedom of thought like jehovah does.  He will control all thought....... including research and press.  I have said this to you so many times...... but you have never even considered the possibility....... because you trust only your own understanding.
I do not trust my own understanding because people like you force me to continually re-evaluate my thinking...... and in fact..... I am prepared to think differently when I see 'evidence' to think differently.  But your firm belief in "rewritten 'history"  (as they are doing with Islam and many other things which promote the distopia) .... makes me think that I am correct.  Time will tell of course.......

I just attended a memorial service for my uncle yesterday. At least 800 persons tried to attend through Zoom. My uncle was part of a large extended family. About 400 stayed for the comments afterward, and they lasted for more than 2.5 more hours, making the entire memorial about 3.5 hours long. There were attendees from all over the world, including Dubai and China, but mostly Californian and South Carolina. Based on statistical averages there is probably a fair chance that at least one of the other 16,700 members of this forum was also on that same Zoom call, assuming most of those members are JWs.
The brother who gave the talk continued to "host" the whole time. My aunt and a cousin allowed for anyone to speak who wanted to say something. Dozens of persons had examples to share of his sense of humor, funny incidents that happened in field service, and a lot of nice things to say about his sincerity and kindness when it came to shepherding. He had been a circuit overseer and substitute circuit overseer for a good part of his life.
This second portion of course is mostly a new Zoom thing for us, where the personal experiences are offered, and even children sometimes speak about their grandpa and great-grandpa. But I saw so much love coming through, and no one seemed to want the experience to stop.
It's only the second of such memorial services I have attended like this, but I have heard of another one a month ago.
Just looking for comments, I guess, on whether others have experienced this. I think it's a very good thing, and I was glad that some non-Witness relatives could share this experience.

At first reading, it seems a shame they had to resort to a secular resolution on this matter in what seems to be a matter of simple shared responsibility. (1Cor.6:4-6).The rather emotive and subjective journalistic viewpoint expressed as "a flurry of letters over the fence" adds to that first impression.
However, we don't appear to have the full facts of what went on here or what the legal implications might have been. May well be some insurance requirements involved as well.
The good news is that the issue appears to have been resolved. I will make a mental note to take care in the future. Micah 4:4. 🙂

T. THOMAS — Residents will soon be able to access the Watchtower magazine with a few keystrokes on the Jehovah’s Witnesses website.
That’s because the a special edition of the magazine entitled “What is God’s Kingdom” will be distributed in both print and electronic format as part of a global campaign that kicks off Sunday and throughout the month of November.
“The answer to that question has captivated the attention of people from many different faiths for centuries,” and Jehovah’s Witnesses will distribute the magazine to the general public, business owners, local and national government officials as well as court officials, according to Javier De La Rosa, a local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The printed editions will be mailed out, he said.
“Due to COVID-19 we’re respecting both members and the households by mailing the printed edition and not going door to door,” De La Rosa said. “We will make efforts to reach out to business and government officials so that it can be mailed to them.”
An electronic copy in over 300 languages will be available on the website at jw.org under the link Library/Magazines.
