Have you ever thought that the CRY about peace and security could be the very intense priority to this facet of life during this time period, not just having thinking things are in order? Could the world powers, any in responsible positions could give fervent priority to peace and security to such a degree that it could be like a cry, with the world becoming more and more out of control wouldn't that in truth be their cause of action? Just another perspective!

I see no one has yet come to answer you. In reading this verse, Jesus gave only 2 reasons why we would have to know these ones would be false. Listening to what Jesus told his disciples when thy asked what would be the sign and he gave them what to look for, anyone just claiming to be Christ and that now is that due time, would be false. Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour and we have never claimed this either. We do say the signs that Jesus gave would be forthright are here, and also as stated by the apostle Paul. We are living in that time of the end, during the pangs of distress as Jesus stated it elsewhere. All we are going to show from scripture is the signs are before us, any action to this evidence is or the person it is their choice. Hope they choose the road leading off to, life, cramped and narrow though it is and only a few are finding this road, per Jesus' words.

But for all you ranted about, the only personage who could change the circumstance of any who has or will have such things befalll them in this system of things is not the government, but Jehovah. That is a fact. Only he could can return those dead from the grave and restore better living conditions than now to this planet. No government in power can. That is a fact! When these things come about, like Jesus himself said only the Father knows, so we are told to keep alert, stay awake, endure til the end. Tell others of what real hope there is, not living under these conditions. So again rant on, my friend!

1914 is it, to be among the JW. PERIOD! That may change but at this point in time it has not. When young Samuel was at the tabernacle, he saw the daily activities of the sons of Eli, correct? Were they appropriate in the way Jehovah wanted things done then and there? NO! But while it was allowed, the people to serve Jehovah came there and Samuel also served there, not leaving going elsewhere. It is up to Jehovah to clean this mess up, if there is such mess, not us as imperfect humans also. We fret and fawn over the the things we avidly complain about, but remember even perfect Jesus worshipped at the imperfect temple, where twice he threw out those he called robbers! He too allowed his Father to cleanse the mess. I do not worry about the date, never have. Been doing this now some 5 decades. Jesus told us to be alert, keep on the watch, teach others what he taught, and do do so to the most distant part of the earth. Simple, not hard or difficult. Whoever is trying to get this done, I am with them. Like Peter, who else has sayings of everlasting life? So you want to debate and argue, Albert? What do you offer better? Much like Satan, nothing! No their assumption are also based on scriptures. The dates are points in time used to give reference. Many are hung up on 1975. I was never lost about this date. It was the end of 6000 yrs of man being here on earth. Many began to look forward to the end of things, Armageddon and the new system, forgetting that we knew not the day those things would actually occurr. And as imperfect humans even the anointed, the word went out like gossip. And those who took it as gospel, sold their homes, stop,living almost thinking the end was that near. I am glad my father did not teach us that way. We went to college continue to progress spiritually, understanding what was going on. The dates, not important, only if you are married or a history buff. Since Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour, why need to know dates? Serve faithfully, don't give up, endure until the end, isn't that what the scriptures teach? That is all I need to know. When the time comes I will be ready. And hope everyone else will also!

RJ, Hi, the information given in the Organized book should have sufficed. I'm a pioneer, father of 5 at one time. Now think, your children are with you the majority or the time. The precept set out in Deut. 6:6-8, we could carry out 24/7, correct? How much time if we were "time mangers" could be amassed monthly? The Society keeps up with our ministry 'time' to gauge where in congregations, and circuit territories there is a need for help, why we keep such records. I could conflate my monthly hours of service just with my children, right? But teaching them, my children is a God-given command as a parent, something I should carry out as a spiritual guide of my household. So no matter how small or large my family, the Society will only allow to be counted on record the max you read about. The time and effort we put in we should desire to do as loving parents anyway. So record the max, and reap the max, the family serving Jehovah whole souled, that is the goal, correct?

You answered you own question, so bright! No matter how many in the family you have reached the max. The family head, father or mother, whatever that situation, the family is a unit, not to broken into separate individual studies. That is why we have Family Worship night! Spiritual routine for the entire family 1,2 4,6,or12 however large. Only an outsider can count time studying with each individual child if that was necessary, but that as we are being shown is the responsibility of the parents not anyone from the outside!

Yes, Noah had family. Brothers and sisters. Uncles aunts, cousins, just like any of us. The question could be asked was his mother alive, since we do know his father was dead! The writer was only recording the heads and the lineage after them, not giving names to the female offspring. So even if girls were firstborn, we would not know it. But I want to ask these ancient ones these type of questions in the new system.

Great discussion; and I thought I would include Jehovah God in this discussion. For even though scripture tells us how Jehovah felt about mankind when he gave ark instructions to Noah, had his words/feelings that would later be written down at Ezekiel 18:23 change? So then what what is written at Genesis 6:7; would Jehovah God allow the wicked the chance to turn around,repent? Only if they knew, were warned! Who warned the wicked of the coming judgment day of Jehovah? Noah was faultless among his contemporaries, how did he base his faith on Jehovah in that wicked world? He fathered 3 sons and because of their lifestyle, 3 women left and joined them. And when Jehovah God told Noah to build the ark, these women stayed with them. But none of their families joined to help or board the ark! This lifestyle or arkbuilding was not done in secret. And if Jehovah is unchangable, the Noah's knowledge would move him to speak, just as the angels did when saving Lot at Genesis 19:12,12. So why would these people not be warned? That goes against all that Jehovah is! And scripture tells us that Enoch began warning people, correct? Jude 14,15? So these people, like Ezekiel states about, Jehovah were warned. Jehovah has not changed. Our reasoning imperfect and flawed, should always include Jehovah God, not human thinking and such.
