Red pill to go back in time to fix all my mistakes until I get right up to the very last mistake I had made before going back. That would, of course, be the time that someone offered me a blue and red pill, and I took the red one. I will then fix that mistake by taking the blue pill this time. This way I can have my cake and eat it too!
Of course, that last step isn't even necessary because every mistake I ever made included all the days I sold stock or traded mutual funds a day too early or held onto them a day too long. Fixing those mistakes will easily produce the extra 10 million in cash.

I have tried to follow this thread from beginning to end ... but I am 70 now, and very tired of bickering over the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar's image  toes, etc.
If I sat down and wrote out EVERYTHING that we need do to please God, and achieve salvation through Christ, I strongly suspect I could get it ALL on two pages.  Everything else would be background reading ... and WOULD NOT MATTER AT ALL.
I have been beaten up by pontificating experts for over 50 YEARS, and I in my Barbarian perceptions have been right MORE than the "pontiffs" ... by a considerable margin. 
I am sick to my very soul of having to carry around these burdensome bags of sand, and hear MILLIONS of words about Justice, and love, and MERCY ... and see NONE of it practiced ... only the machinations of policy wonks.
I quit  the best job I ever had, in the Congo, in 1974, to be home with my parents, and my brother and two sisters when Armageddon was supposed to occur in 1975. 
I did not believe it, but talks at Circuit and District Assemblies, Special Talks at the Kingdom Halls, and at Civic Centers in Virginia, and everyone I knew KNOWING that it would all be over by 1975, wore me down.  I began to reason ... "How could I be right, when EVERYONE else is proclaiming the END of this System in 1975?".

I am going to live my life the best I know how, and let the theorists consume each other.

To go back in time and change things would change the time stream in ways unimaginable ... I never expected to live past the age of 42, and here I am strong at 70.  There are Brothers and Sisters much better than me that died at the age of 18 or so.

Men do not have to use ALL their brains ... and ... by drinking massive quantities of beer, which kills brain cells ( but only killing the defective ones that can't take it ...) have a "natural selection" process that is unsurpassed.
I once worked for an Engineering Company whose Chief Engineer was an alcoholic, and spent his afternoons drunk behind the office, under a tree (weather permitting), but you could go and ask him any question, and instantly he would give you the correct answer, often, without even waking up.
That is not to say that men are superior .... as they wage war against each other, sending the fittest out to die, while the dullards and weak stay home and make babies.
Between the beer, and war .... it all evens out.

I completely understand why a Christian would refuse a blood transfusion, but I can also understand why a Christian would take one in an emergency life-or-death scenario. We are only human and weak, and it seems very unloving to disfellowship someone if they take a transfusion out of fear for their life. At the end of the day, isn't this choice between a Christian and Jehovah God? Is it really necessary for the organization to meddle in this private medical choice? I can understand why the organization wouldn't endorse transfusions, but I have always felt it should be a conscience matter.
Furthermore, isn't there some scriptural precedent for one law trumping another? I have always felt like Jehovah God was balanced about the law, but the organization's stance on transfusions is very extreme. The Bible accounts that come to mind are when David ate the loaves in the temple or when Jesus Christ healed a man on the Sabbath. Shouldn't love for our brothers trump rule following?

Blood was only to be poured out on the ground if a life was taken. It was to ensure the animal was properly dead and, when used as part of ritual sacrifice, was symbolic of atonement for sins.
Seeing as no life is being taken when blood for transfusion is being donated, and that it is not being used for religious purposes or for food, but it is being used for what God originally designed it for, those Scripture texts and the intent behind them do not apply.

You cannot imagine how liberating it is to watch with disinterest as a pontificate piles sticks around your ankles to burn you at the stake, and not be combustible.

Has the Society ever ruled on what happens if a man or woman abandons their spouse FOREVER! ... is the one abandoned stuck forever ?
