Lol. If he was in my congregation I would say nothing. His choices are his own.  I would listen to him at a get-together for sure.... although the smoothness in his voice is no longer there. 3 hours of it may be a bit much for me.
But I said what I said because I come here to share an opinion which I may not Express any where else....
I know many young JW kids who were practicing singing during this lock-down. One used to be my street -work partner.  She wrote a Russian song (She is Abghasian), she is in her early 30s but looks 20 and is stunningly beautiful, is sweet, very spiritual and puts Jehovah first. Well, she wrote the music... paid an arranger and sent me the recording.... which I absolutely love!
She put it on internet.... and she keeps busy... she is now busy with the second one. low-key busy with her art.
I know we are too close to Armageddon for her to build a career and she knows this.... I have told her to be cautious....discussed her art and ambitions.. I believe I am doing the right thing before Jehovah to caution her.
I myself will maybe sing about once a month...  for friends... that's it.
But I see the danger signals with another young singer. He has a deep baritone/bass..... my favourite voice..... His voice is magnificent.... He will be a fantastic opera buffa singer... he has agility, power and also has developed his higher ranges on his own by singing a lot!  Obsessed with singing..... so he would be an excellent candidate for this world because he has drive! .... so excellent material ... but he is very poor. Cannot afford fancy expensive classes and lives away from the capital city to get a teacher worth his salt.
So I see him on Facebook putting up badly chosen pop songs with bad words, songs that are not bringing out the beauty in his voice... and he never talks about spiritual things.... just focussed on getting a few half-baked gigs. Time is running out on all of us..... he should focus more on spiritual things and he will be able to crow for eternity.
I speak to young people who I see are ambitious..... and I say it is not the time NOW!
To be honest.... I do not think any of them will get the chance to show their metal....... new lockdowns will plague them and frustrate them.  A singer just likes to sing..... like birds do it naturally. We are living in a very unnatural world now.... not the right time and place.
Older ones should mentor younger ones to be the best they can be under these new circumstances.
I lost another brilliant friend of mine. Plays the piano- most difficult pieces and accompanies himself while singing. Lovely strong classical voice. Teaches at a university....... but became apostate. He was like a son to me..,,, he used to play for me and we used to have sing-song together. I have not seen him for ten years.
Football, singing and a few of these professions take their toll on the young ones.  ..... that is all I wanted to say.

Are you referring to the video? I can see many discrepancies with it. If you mean, me posting other people's published works, I will direct you to them. The video presenter for one hand no hieroglyphic experience. He mentioned something similar on another video. He was shown, how that badly deteriorated column read.
I have the video, but, it appears, it takes forever to download. Either way, I didn't find myself in a tizzy. Let's keep the remarks friendly.

This is true. That's why I stick with the classics. They knew better how to deal with understanding.
In the first place, the known linguistic facts in the case need to be listed and dated. The first of these is that the oldest authenticated form of the divine name is the tetragrammaton itself as it occurs in line 18 of the Moabite Stone of the ninth century B.c. Cowley's attempt to deny this2 since it was against his own theory proves too much. His argument would eliminate the name of Israel's God from the stone, but it should naturally appear somewhere in relation to Chemosh, and line 18 is a most fitting point for that to happen. Second, his own etymology posits one unknown quantity to explain another, which leaves the tetragrammaton as decidedly the easiest alternative, with the result that this form of the name emerges with a double emphasis as the oldest-known example of it.

It appears, in 1926, Leroy Waterman would have agreed with Nehemia Gordon. The above goes toward "hieroglyphics and cuneiform" "Aramaic and Hebrew script" not people. That's been my idealistic view all along.

No, you are taking a little offense at an impersonal discussion.  We do not know you personally....so we cannot damage you personally,  we can only reply to what you say.  So far it has been nice to talk to you in a very forthright way.   If we all have to hide what we think then it stifles free talking and openness. Some cultures are more prone to save face and others are not. My culture is almost challenging...... lol.  So please accept that our intent (well my own is) is only to up build my fellows here and open up that which needs more discussion from every side. . When I see a thought that is different to mine I will clarify what I think about it.... it is only by sharing honest thoughts that our thoughts are adjusted..... when we see new perspectives.  We learn here all the time.

I have preached this many times when I have reached this teaching  stage of  discussion regarding Jehovahs purpose and justice.... because it shows the LOGIC of Jehovah (every aspect of his actions have been well planned. ........Having the foresight to plan to test all "perfect" humans like he did Adam.   Him having the foresight to rule humankind in complete justice and remove those with an incomplete heart.   At the end of thousand years jehovah will test each perfect person, just like he did Adam....... as a perfect human being they will have the wonderful  opportunity to prove their faithfulness.
The bible itself shows that jehovah will release the demons again and an indeterminable number of people (like sand of the sea), will rebel ( like Adam did)......or in greater numbers and with similar intent  as Gog and Magog  -  to disrupt Godly rulership.... but Jehovah has proven that humans cannot rule the earth successfully - so they will go straight to second death.... by their own "perfect" choice.

I see your point too! But we cannot be covering  all "possible scholarly arguments" when talking to people about Jehovahs' purposes.  Jesus is a good example to us. He knew the pharisees were argumentative and likely to divert attention from his message when they put themselves amongst the people.
Consequently, he knew their bad intent, so he only answered them when the ordinary people, who were genuinely interested, could benefit from his reply to the learned pharisees.
I have already preached to a group of Muslims where they all keep on listening ... despite the fact that one person is saying out loud that I am a false prophet.  If they want to listen .... they will listen and go and think about it!
We preach to those who want to listen and to those whom jehovah is drawing to Himself.  We are not better than Jesus are we? We know that very few rich and powerful individuals listened to Jesus.  They did not need him.... they wanted to destroy him.

I saw a historical discrepancy and said what I thought.  Sorry to get you all in a tizzy about this..... I thought you would just find it interesting that there is a discrepancy - actually 2.
I liked the link @Chioke Lin gave us:
"Among ancient Egyptian designations for types of foreign peoples in the New Kingdom Period (1550–1070 BC), the term Shasu occurs fairly frequently. It is generally accepted that the term Shasu means nomads or Bedouin people, referring primarily to the nomadic peoples of Syria-Palestine. There are two hieroglyphic references in New Kingdom Period texts to an area called "the land of the Shasu of Yahweh." Except for the Old Testament, these are the oldest references found in any ancient texts to the God Yahweh. It is very likely that the Egyptians of the New Kingdom Period classified all of the ancient Edomites, Ammonites, Moabites, Amalekites, Midianites, Kenites, Hapiru, and Israelites as Shasu.

There is even a reference dating to ca. 1250 BC in Papyrus Anastasi I to a group of giant Shasu living in Canaan who may be identified with the giants encountered by the Israelites at the time of the Exodus. Clearly the Egyptians knew about Yahweh as can be seen in the Soleb and Amarah-West topographical lists, but they did not worship him, and they apparently did not want to worship him."
This indicates as the librarian said : that the inscription could have been of a later date. Since Amenhotep did not rule in 1500BCE era.

Agreed, right after the flood  everyone were nomads but later as clans grew in groups they would later become nations with city-states - such as the Edomites (offspring from Esau), Amonites and Moabites (offspring of Lot) etc. Later on there were still nomads roaming about and they lived in areas which were not occupied by cities. In Canaan the different Canaanite nations occupied specific areas. Joseph was picked up and sold in Egypt by a group of Ishmaelites /Midianites who were offspring from Abraham.  By this time there were many caravans which were travelling merchants who sold goods and travelled around different trade routs.
About 800 years after the flood - Egypt was a massive country comprising different tribes (at least 20 Nomes - states with governors - maybe even different dialects) and even  Ethiopia was already a nation.  It was in this time that Jehovah led Israel out of Egypt in the exodus.  800 years after flood is a loooong time.  Nations had formed and wars were everywhere.
The archeologist mentioned the inscription which referred to NOMADS of Jahweh which the Pharoah had conquered.  He speculated that it was the Israelites AFTER  the exodus......as the exodus took place +- 1512 BCE.....  this  speculation is not based on the reality.  Israel Never went back to Egypt after the exodus (but a break away group before the exodus could have become nomads).  If there were a group of nomads who had Jehwah or jahweh as their god they could also have been another nomadic group which split off from other peoples after the flood and remained in pockets and travelled around.  He says this because the inscription is dated to the 15th century but then he uses the wrong Egyptian king! which sat on the throne much later!
Today there are pockets of Africans in North East Africa who have Jewish customs. Apart from Ethiopia there are other tribes. They must have become proselytes at one time or had contact with Israel and or split off from other tribes who had these customs. The traditions were carried over from generation to generation.
This kind of thing makes for very interesting history.

I do not know if you deliberately misunderstand me.  No - I am not saying the hieroglyphs are not 1500 years BCE or that the Name is wrong.
Let me put it this way - I do not expect a gynecologists to know everything about heart of eye problems. I do not expect a bone doctor to know a gynies business.
Similarly and archeologist usually specializes in one field.... .  I do not know the field of this archeologist but I am thankful he cares about the bible and Jehovah's name.
Unfortunately he did sloppy biblical history about the inscription.  We are supposed to be the bible students are we not? And therefore I say he was wrong to say it was inscribed by the Israelites AFTER the exodus.  It does not make sense.

I will accept it as genuine. Just as I'm sure the White house columns exist although I've never touched them myself. I've only seen videos.

Proof of the 'that' name? How much clearer would you expect an enemy Pharoah to be?
I seriously doubt he would have been able to add a postscript for future English readers what the preferred pronunciation and lettering in a then unknown (not even created yet) language should be. This is why I am steering clear of the whole YHWH vs. Jehovah debate. (that is a different thread)

I find it fascinating just as it is.... some Pharoah in Ancient Egypt.... knew these same Israelites were enemies and even referred to them just as the Bible explained.

This alone invalidates SO many ludicrous claims about the origins of the "Name" that it is an incredible find.

It is a coalition of nations who come up against the Nation of Jehovah in the time of the end... as Ezekiel 38 so well describes.  People of all nations have been collected together in true worship to Jehovah but Gog of Magog devises an evil plan because it looks as if these people have no protection.  When this coalition of nations come up against Jehovah's people, Jehovah will step in to protect a great crowd  ho will survive Armageddon.
Like you, I have also looked at the names of Togarma, Tubal and Ross (Rus), Persia (Iran) and many of these countries who are (at present) part of the coalition of the King of the North (all with totalitarian regimes).
We do not know who will further join the king of the North (India? some of those in africa and south america?) but we know that North Korea, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia are part of this new financial coalition...     We also know who are supporting the king of the South.  It is as if the entire world is now choosing sides.
Russia has already started its march towards Jehovah's people on its own (as a single country), but soon there will be a whole coalition of nations together with it who want to take the spiritual spoil - take away all this pure worship. Will Russia and its allies lead this onslaught? - it seems like it .... but it is not a definite outcome.  We know that the UN (the image of the best or scarlet colored beast) will turn against ALL religion and then later, together with king of the North, UNITED against the people of Jehovah as Satan goes forth to finally attack pure worship.  Satan knows it is his deathblow to turn against Jehovah's people but he will be drawn out like a captive animal in iron hooks ........by Jehovah as the nations fulfill Jehovah's prophetic word.
I do detect that you divide the families of Noah into 3 distinct groups.  This is rather a simplistic view of what happened. While some of the nations can be tracked to the children of Noah and their offspring (many nations have a clear pathway from the children of Noah), one must still be careful to lump them together so simplistically. For 4 thousand years nations were taking slaves, going to war, displacing whole nations and murdering whole villages of peoples.  Some nations were assimilated by others. .... And while the language groups sometimes helps us to detect the origin of a nation (indo-european, sino group, kushites,  etc, a nation usually comprises many gene pools that were mingled - depending on who they fought in wars and how stable the geopolitical area was.

    James: 1
12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
The destruction of any human is only righteously due (from the viewpoint of Jehovah or his Son, who will judge the sheep and goats at time of the end). Jesus has been given the right to resurrect humans - so even if Satan or his associates have in some unrighteous way put someone to death (destroyed him so that his body decays, has a destructive process in the grave), it is not everlasting destruction or spiritual destruction, when the person is resurrected by Jesus.
Many of those who were destroyed by Jehovah are not in Gehenna but in Sheol. Take as an example Dathan and Abiram. Moses wrote that the earth opened up and they went down "alive into sheol". Numbers 16:31 and 33. The Assyrians also went into sheol. Ezekiel 32: 21 an 22. So, not all destruction by God is necessarily eternal.
On the other hand all deliberate blasphemers will go to Gehenna - everlasting destruction / oblivion.
Everlasting destruction is righteous when Jesus leaves someone in death forever - Gehenna.  The wicked angels and Judas have been judged to go into Gehenna.   There is an unrighteous destruction  and a righteously judged destruction.  Adam went straight into the second death did he not?  The Canaanites were so wicked that archeologists wonder why god did not destroy them sooner..... but Jehovah used another nation as his tool to destroy them.  He also did this to Juda when their wickedness was so great - Babylon became the executioner.
Jesus is the image of his father.  While he is love (like his father) he is also destruction to those who disobey the father.  Revelation 19: at war of Armageddon he will act as a destroyer of all those who have morally and physically ruined the earth and sided with the enemies of Jehovah.
rev 19:19 + 20 "And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the one seated on the horse and against his army. 20  And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beasti and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur."
Jehu was anointed and given command to destroy the house of Ahab, so he was not blood guilty for following the command of Jehovah.
Jehovah has a purpose to destroy the entire world of wicked people at Armageddon and the executioner is Christ, riding on his white horse symbolizing righteous warfare. Just like in the flood, the earth will be cleansed. Unfortunately at this point in time people do not fear Jehovah as they should and go on eating and drinking and paying Him no attention.
I think there is more than enough evidence that Jehovah can destroy and Jesus can destroy ..... but they do this when someone has been righteously judged.  Not in all cases is It necessarily everlasting destruction, except at Armageddon..
Revelation 20: 1 - 3 clearly indicates that an angel of Jehovah has the key to the abyss.

I have put a scholarly analyses of  how the Hebrew language works. I have shown that the name of jehovah  itself is a rare form of Hollow verb and does NOT have the meaning of  destruction -  unless you are a babe in Hebrew language you would think so. .... similar to ass-ume does not mean " ass" to someone who knows  English.
I have also shown that destruction in some cases is permanent and sometimes it is not - depending on whether jehovah or Jesus has passed a righteous judgment on the person.  I also showed that the wicked can destroy a person but it is also not permanent - depending on a resurrection.
So when one clings to the false ideas of destruction.... it is wrong.  Jehovah needs to judge the apostates even when we can see they have clear case of unrepentant sin and regularly  spew their falsehoods about the name of jehovah and about Jehovah Himself.

Since John in John 10:10 is referring to Jesus being the good shepherd, how can this passage be interpreted?
Once again, the word “destroy” is used. What bible example can we link with John?
Jeremiah 23:1 New International Version (NIV) The Righteous Branch 23 “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.
Ezekiel 34:3 English Standard Version (ESV) 3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. English Standard Version (ESV)
So, what’s the theme in John? God’s sheep. We know Jesus sacrifice was to benefit mankind, so the evil intent of a thief could not benefit from that sacrifice.
The word "destroy" is losing its biblical value by being overplayed. This is why I like the Danker, Greek NT Lexicon. It brings a fuller application to the bible.
