  1. What do you think? Have you seen better?
  2. "TheWorldNewsMedia.org IPO's...at an initial valuation of $500 billion in early July and closes out the year at over $1 trillion." 😁
  3. It is still unclear to me if we are still paying $4,000 every day to this court. Anyone know what happened to that fine? Or did we satisfy the judge by providing what he/she wanted?
  4. @Jack Ryan Maybe he wasn't in good standing with his local congregation? Or fading? I have seen some witnesses receive housing aid and assistance but you must be in good standing. Since he is a divorcee it stands to reason there was once a negative mark on his record which may preclude him from getting assistance from the local congregation. I know there is plenty of money among the brothers in CA so that is not the issue.
  5. And how exactly did you come across Hell in your journeys pray tell?
  6. 1953-TheyOpposeFreedomOfWorship-HaydenCovington_64kb.mp3 "They Oppose Freedom of Worship," by Hayden C. Covington. Audio lecture given at the 1953 International Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses. At the time, Covington was Chief Legal Counsel of Jehovah's Witnesses and had served as Vice President of the Watchtower Society in the 1940s. Covington helped secure several key legal victories for Jehovah's Witnesses before the Supreme Court of the United States in the 1940s. See also: Agape!
  7. @Jack Ryan You are pointing out a change. Yes. We have changed our questions many times over the years. Not only since 1950. Here is a list as our understanding changed:
  8. @Jack Ryan You are not understanding that back then Jehovah's Witnesses did not see themselves as a religion in any way. Times have changed. We are now a fully fledged RELIGION. (whether you like us or not) 😎
  9. @Outta Here Yes. @Jack Ryan is forgetting about how before the Great Tribulation "The Love of the Greater Number" would cool off. He is inadvertently proving Bible prophecy while trying to prove the decline of Jehovah's Witnesses. I heard one brother say one time that the point 'is to be the last JW standing' ..... you get the idea. Didn't Peter say something similar?
  10. Rearing Children in the New World Society - Colin Quackenbush at the 1953 “New World” International Assembly in Yankee Stadium There used to be a copy here ... or is it gone forever? 😉
  11. Memorial Talk by Colin Quackenbush Quackenbush Colin - Hayden C. Covington Memorial.mp3 Funeral Discourse for Hayden C. Covington, given in November, 1978. Covington had been Vice President of the Watchtower Society from 1942-1945 and had served as Chief Legal Counsel for Jehovah's Witnesses from 1939-1963. Covington represented Jehovah's Witnesses before the U.S. Supreme Court on several important cases involving personal freedoms. Funeral discourse was given by Colin Quackenbush from Watchtower headquarters in New York. He died Nov 21, 1978

  13. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I lost the articles and items collected for a few other influential figures from back then sadly...
  14. If I remember correctly, Charles Taze Russell actually wanted this man to replace him after his death. He ended up staying as an editor of the Watchtower while Rutherford took control of the Watch Tower Corporation.
  15. 7,677 Profile Page Views alone!!!  Look at JTR go!  .... Imagine how many views a day you receive on all your posts combined?

Is there any way to quantify that info?   And in what time frame?

...anything I can take to the pawn shop?

I guess not... although I often compare modern "hits" to the time spent walking the streets "from house to house" to find one person "at home"......

We reach people in different ways and times with small snippets of data nowadays rather than the

      192 page books of yesteryear.

It was truly a different place and time.
