  1. They are in his sphere of influence. (Revelation 12:3, 4) 3 Another sign was seen in heaven. Look! A great fiery-colored dragon, with seven heads and ten horns and on its heads seven diadems; 4 and its tail drags a third of the stars of heaven, and it hurled them down to the earth. . . . Revelation 20:1-3) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. 3 And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while. (Jude 6) 6 And the angels who did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place, he has reserved with eternal bonds in dense darkness for the judgment of the great day. (Romans 16:20) For his part, the God who gives peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. May the undeserved kindness of our Lord Jesus be with you. 1 Cor 6: 1-3 Or do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try very trivial matters? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? (Mark 3:22-27) 22 Also, the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying: “He has Be·elʹze·bub, and he expels the demons by means of the ruler of the demons.” 23 So after calling them to him, he spoke to them with illustrations: “How can Satan expel Satan? 24 If a kingdom becomes divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand; 25 and if a house becomes divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 Also, if Satan has risen up against himself and has become divided, he cannot stand but is coming to an end. 27 In fact, no one who enters the house of a strong man is able to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Only then can he plunder his house. My take from these scriptures: Jesus will in fact tie up that strong man - those in his house (the demons) will be affected similarly. From above scriptures - Satan rules the demons - he is called the ruler of the demons. These wicked angels will be judged by Jesus and the 144 000 who will rule with him. 1 Cor 6:3 Since Satan "drags them in his tail", they will be with him and share the same fate. Their fate is already sealed - stored up for destruction. Jude 6 It is obvious they will be judged with Satan, bound with Satan and destroyed with Satan *** w69 10/1 p. 591 par. 22 Pay Attention to “The Prophetic Word” *** 22 In many places, the prophetic Word warns of God’s executing judgment on Satan and his “seed.” For example, there is Jeremiah 25:31-38, which tells us that “those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth.” To the forefront are the political and religious “shepherds,” who will ‘howl’ and ‘cry out,’ and wallowing with them are the “majestic ones of the flock,” including the favored prominent followers, who follow them into destruction. Finally, the original Serpent himself, together with his demons, will be shut up for a thousand years. Revelation 19:11 to 20:3 describes how Christ Jesus and the holy angels of heaven will fight for just such a victory, in vindication of Jehovah’s name. The triumph over the Serpent and his “seed” will be complete!
  2. No he will not be dead. His powers will be taken away until the thousand years are ended. Rev 20.
  3. (Revelation 20:1-15) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 4 And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years. Jesus has the symbolic key to the abyss. It follows that he is in charge of the symbolic abyss and has power over it and anyone placed there, and will return to finally destroy Satan when all other enemies have been destroyed. Jesus and the 144 000 will put all of God's enemies (including Satan) under their feet (in destruction). This power has been delegated to Jesus by Jehovah. (Matthew 28:18) Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. (Romans 16:20) For his part, the God who gives peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. May the undeserved kindness of our Lord Jesus be with you. (With reference to the 144,000, who will join Jesus in the destruction of the wicked world and later, Satan) (Revelation 17:14) These will battle with the Lamb, but because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those with him who are called and chosen and faithful will do so.” (With reference to 144,000 who will join Jesus) 1 Cor 15:24  Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25 For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. (Psalm 110:1, 2) Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.” 2 Jehovah will extend the scepter of your power out of Zion, saying: “Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.” (Ephesians 2:1, 2) 2 Furthermore, God made you alive, though you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. (2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. (John 12:31) 31 Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. (1 Corinthians 6:1-3) 6 Does any one of you who has a dispute with another dare to go to court before unrighteous men, and not before the holy ones? 2 Or do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try very trivial matters? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? . . .(see Romans 16:20 - Wicked angels: Satan and his demons) Jehovah nevertheless is the authority behind anything and everything that Jesus does. Jehovah tells Jesus to go subduing in the midst of his enemies. The 144,000 will join him in this destructive work. (See Rev 17:14 above) (Illustration: Anything an employee does officially while employed can be attributed to his employer.) (John 8:28) Jesus then said: “After you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me, I speak these things. Jesus does all this work for Jehovah while serving as Jehovah's executive king. So if you wish to say Jehovah will destroy Satan you will still be correct.
  4. Both the criminal and Jesus were about to die that day.. The criminal could not repent, be converted and be baptised as time had run out for him. (1 Peter 3:19) Jesus could read hearts and knew that this particular criminal who asked him to remember him when he got into his Kingdom (rules over Paradise) had a good heart and in time would come to know God and love Him. He assured him he would be there in the earthly realm of the Kingdom (Paradise). He would be in the Memorial tombs (John 5: 28,29) and he would be among the unrighteous whom God will resurrect through Jesus to learn about Him and given the opportunity to choose to serve Him or not. Acts 24:15 also speaks about righteous and unrighteous ones who will come back to learn and to benefit from the priestly services of Jesus and the 144,000 king-priests. During that 1000-year reign he will have ample opportunity to learn God's will, see the majesty of Jehovah, appreciate his way of doing things and grow to love him. (*** Bible Citations *** "(Isaiah 26:9, 10) In the night I long for you with my whole being, Yes, my spirit keeps looking for you; For when there are judgments from you for the earth, The inhabitants of the land learn about righteousness. 10 Even if the wicked is shown favor, He will not learn righteousness. Even in the land of uprightness he will act wickedly, And he will not see the majesty of Jehovah." It is clear that those with a good heart condition will learn righteousness, but some will prove to be wicked and will not benefit. Jesus knows this man will be resurrected so he can benefit; this particular criminal is already looking promising when we read his comment concerning Jesus not deserving this fate. He has a sense of justice and fairness. He also has faith and confidence in Jesus' ascension to his throne in the future.
  5. Judas sinned against the holy spirit; don't forget.
  6. Jesus could have been baptized earlier, though. He was dedicated to Jehovah from infancy and he pleased God and men throughout his youth. Luke 2:51,52. The legal age for taking up the profession of priest was about 30 years. Since he was king/priest designate, he took it up at that time officially.
  7. In the Hebrew scriptures it was necessary to discuss things relating to sex fairly graphically. No beating around the bush. Jehovah wanted his people to be holy so he had to say in detail what he wanted and didn't want. Jehovah is not shy. "(Leviticus 20:10-21) . . .who commits adultery with another man’s wife: The one who commits adultery with the wife of his fellow man should be put to death without fail, the adulterer and the adulteress. 11 A man who lies down with his father’s wife has exposed his father to shame. Both of them should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them. 12 If a man lies down with his daughter-in-law, both of them should be put to death without fail. They have violated what is natural. Their own blood is upon them. 13 “‘If a man lies down with a male the same as one lies down with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them. 14 “‘If a man takes a woman and her mother, it is an obscene act. They should burn him and them in the fire, so that obscene conduct may not continue among you. 15 “‘If a man has intercourse with a beast, he should be put to death without fail, and you should kill the beast. 16 If a woman approaches any beast to have intercourse with it, you must kill the woman and the beast. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them. 17 “‘If a man has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother, and he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off before the eyes of the sons of their people. He has exposed his sister to shame. He should answer for his error. 18 “‘If a man lies down with a menstruating woman and has sexual relations with her, both he and she have exposed her flow of blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people. 19 “‘You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister or your father’s sister, because that would be exposing a blood relative to shame. They should answer for their error. 20 A man who lies down with his uncle’s wife has exposed his uncle to shame. They should answer for their sin. They should die childless. 21 If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is something abhorrent. He has exposed his brother to shame. They should become childless." People are doing all these things now to a greater degree, so it needs to be discussed. In first century the Bible said fornication was being practised by a member in the congregation which was not heard of in the pagan community. Imagine all the perverted things being practised with all the latest technology (sex dolls etc.) and depraved standards.) (1 Corinthians 5:1) . . .among you, and such immorality as is not even found among the nations—of a man living with his father’s wife.
  8. People should be concerned about how these things look Jehovah not just to men. If we get the mind of Christ, we would see the seriousness of this lawless act. Some scriptures that shed light of this kind of behaviour are: 1 Thessalonians 5:22-24 King James Version (KJV) 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (Psalm 97:10) 10 " O you who love Jehovah, hate what is bad. He is guarding the lives of his loyal ones;. . ." (1 Peter 4:3, 4)" For the time that has passed by is sufficient for you to have done the will of the nations when you carried on in acts of brazen conduct, unbridled passions, overdrinking, wild parties, drinking bouts, and lawless idolatries. 4 They are puzzled that you do not continue running with them in the same decadent course of debauchery, so they speak abusively of you." (Proverbs 13:19, 20) . . . 20 " The one walking with the wise will become wise, But the one who has dealings with the stupid will fare badly."
  9. Some parents are guilty of encouraging children to delay baptism because they have no confidence in the child's ability to live up to their baptism, and some pressure children to get baptized before they learn the truth and make their own decision.
  10. I am sure you won't wish a cop living in your home. In any case it was not a serious suggestion by Tom.
  11. But the cops might be immoral too, or even pedophiles also.Who knows. Would create a bigger problem.
  12. Never saw CSA in a publication. Seems you will be soon be using USA however you like. CSA means Canadian Standards Association, along with the others mentioned above.
  13. CSA - the acronym - should be first written out, then referred to as an acronym later. If you mean child sexual abuse you are the one to say it first. Initialism Canadian Space Agency Confederate States of America (UK) Child Support Agency (Northern Ireland) Central Services Agency (US) combined statistical area community-supported agriculture community service announcement and many more, e.g. .... Standards Association/Accreditation.
  14. There is no problem with you are even the person who wrote the poems. The person did his best or thinks so, but to an English-speaking person, they are not flowing very well or very understandable.
  15. We know he has free will. Were made in his image so the free will starts with Him. Gen 1:26. No discussion needed on that.
  16. He can foresee in detail if he chooses to like in the case of Cyrus - even before he was born. But he is not the cause of the outcome. It is only that he can see it. Free will is the cause of the outcome. In the case of Esau he also saw the different genes and bent of the person.
  17. Preparing for meetings is preparing spiritual food for sharing at meetings. It entails studying the Bible and getting the sense of it so you can comment and share.
  18. Agree with most of what you said. But Judas as not predestined to be the betrayer - he chose to be at some point. It would be unloving of Jehovah to predestine someone for destruction. Jehovah gave us all freedom of choice. See passage below. This is all for now. *** it-2 pp. 129-130 Judas *** Became Corrupt. Near Passover 32 C.E., Judas, with the other apostles, was sent out preaching. (Mt 10:1, 4, 5) Shortly after Judas’ return, and less than a year after he had been made an apostle, he was publicly denounced by Christ, though not by name. Some disciples left Jesus, being shocked over his teachings, but Peter said that the 12 would stick with Christ. In response Jesus acknowledged that he had chosen the 12 but said: “One of you is a slanderer [Gr., di·aʹbo·los, meaning “devil” or “slanderer”].” The account explains that the one who already was a slanderer was Judas, who “was going to betray him, although one of the twelve.”—Joh 6:66-71. In connection with this incident John says: “From the beginning Jesus knew . . . who was the one that would betray him.” (Joh 6:64) From Hebrew Scripture prophecies Christ knew that he would be betrayed by a close associate. (Ps 41:9; 109:8; Joh 13:18, 19) God also, by use of his foreknowledge, had seen that such a one would turn traitor, but it is inconsistent with God’s qualities and past dealings to think that Judas had to fail, as if he were predestined. (See FOREKNOWLEDGE, FOREORDINATION.) Rather, as already mentioned, at the beginning of his apostleship Judas was faithful to God and to Jesus. Thus John must have meant that “from the beginning” of when Judas started to go bad, started to give in to imperfection and sinful inclinations, Jesus recognized it. (Joh 2:24, 25; Re 1:1; 2:23) Judas must have known he was the “slanderer” Jesus mentioned, but he continued to travel with Jesus and the faithful apostles and apparently he made no changes. The Bible does not discuss in detail the motives for his corrupt course, but an incident that occurred on Nisan 9, 33 C.E., five days before Jesus’ death, sheds light on the matter. At Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, Mary, Lazarus’ sister, anointed Jesus with perfumed oil worth 300 denarii, about a year’s wages for a laborer. (Mt 20:2) Judas strongly objected that the oil could have been sold and the money “given to the poor people.” Evidently other apostles merely assented to what seemed to be a valid point, but Jesus rebuked them. Judas’ real reason for objecting was that he cared for the money box and he “was a thief . . . and used to carry off the monies” put in the box. So Judas was a greedy, practicing thief.—Joh 12:2-7; Mt 26:6-12; Mr 14:3-8. Betrayal Price. Judas was undoubtedly stung by Jesus’ rebuke about the use of money. At this time “Satan entered into Judas,” likely in the sense that the traitorous apostle gave himself in to the will of the Devil, allowing himself to be a tool to carry out Satan’s design to stop Christ. A few days later, on Nisan 12, Judas went to the chief priests and temple captains to see how much they would pay him to betray Jesus, again showing his avarice. (Mt 26:14-16; Mr 14:10, 11; Lu 22:3-6; Joh 13:2) The chief priests had that day met together with “the older men of the people,” the influential men of the Sanhedrin. (Mt 26:3) The temple captains may have been brought in because of their influence and to lend legal flavor to any planned arrest of Jesus."
  19. Jesus at some point knew it was Judas. It was prophesied that someone close would do it. Jesus would have discerned that it was Judas as he showed up his deviousness surrounding greed for money, among other things written and not written. However, Jesus prayed all night before choosing Judas and the others. He was a good person at that point.
  20. God gave his intelligent creation freedom of choice. Jehovah made a beautiful angel in heaven along with myriads of others, he decided to become a resister of Jehovah's purpose later on and is called Satan. Jesus picked Judas, Judas changed afterwards. Governing body picked Raymond Franz, etc etc Everyone intelligent creation can change.
