"Goodbye my daughter!" Is so fucking melodramatic. I swear they relish in this experience. It's more about them ~making the tough decision~ than it is about doing what's best for their child.

Shiwiii got a reaction from Srecko Sostar in What is the point of surviving Judgement Day if you can achieve the same thing by waiting 1,000 years dead?
I disagree with those resurrected during the 100 years. See my explanation below.
    1. yes
    2. depends on how you view Pauls statement in 2 Corinthians 5:1-10. I do believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
    3. See below
    4. See below

It doesn't,  See below for my understanding.

all references to a particular verse pertain to Revelation 20, unless otherwise noted.
All of Revelation chapter 20 explains this I feel. Starting at verse 1, we are told of how Satan would be bound for the 1000 years. Then we see how those who have been give n the authority to judge, will do so.
Whom are these going to judge? Verses 4-6 tell us that they are those who have done well and lived as God has required, No image of the beast, no mark, their testimony about Jesus. We are told these are blessed and holy. 1 Corinthians 15 23-26 explains the order in which resurrection takes place and to whom, those who belong to Christ. This chapter in 1 Cor tells us more. It tells us that not all who belong to Christ will die first, nope some will be changed without ever tasting human death, 1 Cor verse 51. No mention of the unjust yet.
Rev 20 verse 7 states "When the 1000 years are over,..." so this takes place after the 1000 years.  This is after Kingdom rule started and those who were still alive AFTER Armageddon. This is proven by  Rev Chapter 19 where it is stated that the beast was captured and false prophet were thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. The signs that these two performed prior were what deluded many into taking the mark of the beast and worshiping the beast.  So at this point it is chronological, ch 19 then ch 20.  So during Armageddon, some will survive, but not all.  Those who do survive are under rule for the 1000 years. There is no mention of ANY resurrection during the 1000 years, only after.
Judgement of the dead comes after the 1000 year reign and after the battle of Gog and Magog. This is not the judgement of the living, but those who died anytime prior to this moment. Verse 12 tells us that all of the dead are standing before the throne awaiting judgement and they were judged based upon what they had done while living.  Ch 20 verse 15,  If their names were not written in the Book of Life........gone, lake of fire gone, second death.
Once this judgement is over, the new heaven and new earth come into play and ch 21 verses 6-8 restate whom will be thrown in the lake of burning sulfur, the second death.

I'm sure not all of you will agree with me, its ok. However, this is what I believe based on God's word.

So if  jw's believe that there is a second chance/resurrection to try again during the 1000 years or after, I completely disagree. I just cannot see where in scripture that can be supported. If someone can show me, that would be great, but I just don't see it.

So as I am sure there are plenty of you folks here that adhere and read the wt and "awake".  Have any of you who have read these considered the wt Oct study edition this year? In particular this little quote:
           "KEEP TRYING TO MAKE DISCIPLES
    14. According to Jesus’ instructions recorded at Matthew 28:19, 20, what do we try our best to do, and why?
14 Read Matthew 28:19, 20. As we conduct Bible studies, we have to try our best to “make disciples . . . , teaching them to observe all the things [Jesus has] commanded.” We need to help people understand how important it is for them to take their stand for Jehovah  and his Kingdom. This means trying to motivate people to make the truth their own by applying what they learn, dedicating their life to Jehovah, and getting baptized. Only then will they survive Jehovah’s day.—1 Pet. 3:21."

So one must be baptized as a jw in order to survive Jehovahs day (judgement day).  That is basically what is being said.
What about this statement by the wt?
"Millions of others will have the opportunity of gaining everlasting life when they are resurrected. Jesus performed a resurrection when he visited the city of Nain. The only son of a widow had died, and Jesus, “moved with pity,” raised him to life  again. (Luke 7:11-15) Also, the apostle Paul said: “I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
So which is it? What is the point of surviving the judgement day if you can achieve the same thing after the 1000 years?

@TrueTomHarley said:  "You know that they would be screaming at how incompetent and wicked were the brothers taking the lead in Jerusalem."
Can you provide a scripture that verifies brothers "taking the lead in Jerusalem"?
"Witness would have quoted half the Hebrew Scriptures in an effort to show how it was their presumptuousness that was to blame."
Presumptuous is a good word for those who believe they can rightly "take the lead" today.
From the Greek scriptures, and something to consider:
"Nor should you be called ‘Leader,’ because your one and only leader is the Messiah."  Matt 23:10
    STRONGS NT 2519: καθηγητής καθηγητής, καθηγητου, ὁ (καθηγέομαι to go before, lead);
    a. properly, a guide: Numen. quoted in Ath. 7, p. 313 d.
    b. a master, teacher: Matthew 23:8 R G, 10.
    Luke 22:25,26:
But He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles...(today, that would be elders not the "Israel of God", acting as "kings" over the congregation of JWs.  Since they "represent the royal priesthood" of "kings", the elders have usurped the role of  not only priests, but kings.  Rev 5:9,10)
dominate them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘Benefactors.' ("friends of the people", the GB)
Well, we know the GB has authority over the entire elder body of "Gentiles".
    Is this a good thing?
It is not to be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever is greatest among you should become like the youngest, and whoever leads, like the one serving.
There is to be no one exercising headship over another.  If one "leads" in truth, he is serving that individual with truth.  He expects no honor to be given to himself.  Do a little research, look up "honor" and how it relates to "elders" in the organization.  Look up "humility/humble" and how it relates to the anointed in the organization.  No honor is bestowed on God's kings/priests, but certainly  on man's choice of who are the "priests and kings" of your organization.

    Her motivations ??
If she wants "money" for suffer, what is wrong with that?! If she wants "justice", what is wrong with that? If she want the public "to know" what happened, what is wrong with that?
It is not about her motivations, it is about JW Organization, WT Society and GB who, with a little help of WT Lawyers,  making policy and instruct elders what to do in cases like this.
Please, would you reconsider and reevaluate your emotions.  Because "motivation" is in emotions. By asking about  her "motivations" we entering in judging privilege that is reserved only to .......
If you believe in this above, about JHVH as final Judge, than i am surprised about even your idea to be suspicious about her "motivations"..... as Human Pretrial of JHVH Trial. :))

Shiwiii reacted to Witness in NOT ON BREAD ALONE
I do not see in this Watchtower comment, the avenue we must take to know God; of which I am not surprised.    Jesus is the Word, the Bread of Life. John 1:1  John 17:3 is part of the prayer of Jesus to the Father.
“Father, the hour has come! Glorify Your Son, in order that Your Son may glorify You— 2 just as You have given him authority over all flesh, in order that he would give eternal life to them—everyone whom You have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You on earth bycompleting the work that you have given me to do. 5 And now, Father, You glorify me at Your side with the glory that I had at Your side before the world existed.
Righteous Father, although the world does not know You, yet I have known You, and these men have come to know that You sent me. 26 And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, in order that the love with which You loved me may be in them, and I may be in them.”
The “world” that did not know Jesus Christ were his people who rejected him, the very ones who said they “knew” God.  John 1:10   They had a “superficial knowledge” of Him; yet never attained the true knowledge of God, since they did not accept Jesus Christ.
Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”  John 8:19
    To his disciples:
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”  John 14:6-11

If we do not accept the “Bread of Life” that God offers us in His Son, we will never learn to know God.  We will never learn the knowledge of truth.  2 Tim 3:7

So, it seems how: fact that they have "spiritual bodies" after resurrection, and fact that they are "perfect spiritual beings"  and in Heaven, is not enough for them to understand people's need. There is a necessity that some of 144000 class individuals have had women's hormones in past life. :)))
