Shirley Lowery got a reaction from JW Insider in Single Spiritual Brothers and Sisters Over 50!!!
Hello all my spiritual brothers and sisters! I would like to start this topic about "Single Spiritual Brothers and Sisters Over 50".  I myself turn 60 this coming year! The reason I'm writing about this topic is because sometimes as we try to keep ourselves spiritually strong serving Jehovah, being human, we experience, depression, and often feel lonely!  I know of several brothers and sisters including me,  who are searching for that special someone to be our spiritual mate and serve Jehovah together as one flesh! Most of us feel that loneliness even though we go to our secular jobs, and do our best to faithfully serve Jehovah! I myself hope to marry only in the lord someday!! I pray to Jehovah everyday to help me cope with this loneliness I often experience sometimes! The DVDS the faithful and discreet slave have recommended us to view searching for our spiritual mate, tell us to be patient and Jehovah knows our hearts, and he knows we need a helper, or mate to share our lives with! I  myself, try to be patient, but it's really hard trying to support myself, and waiting for my spiritual brother to find me!!  It's only human nature to experience that true love, true companionship with that special someone!!  Everyone tells me, wait on Jehovah, pray to Jehovah, which I do everyday, but, I also pray for my other spiritual brothers and sisters being held in prison, and to cope with whatever they're going  through during  these critical last days were living in!!  I hope this topic I'm writing about, seems interesting to you, I would love to hear your comments,  from any single  brother or sister or just personally get acquainted with you, as my spiritual brother or sister! Sometimes we need someone to vent our feelings to!     May Jehovah bless everyone of you, and I pray someday that Jehovah helps me, and you, find that special someone to share our lives with!!!  Agape love, Sister Shirley Lowery, Dallas, Texas!!!

    Please Read
Some people have wondered if we have listed people who simply studied briefly with Jehovah's Witnesses. As far as we know, this is not the case. Anybody can sit down and meet with Jehovah's Witnesses to study their beliefs. In no way would we consider that grounds for identifying somebody as a Jehovah's Witness. All of the people listed on our page have actually been considered Jehovah's Witnesses or considered themselves adherents of the faith, either by way of having been raised in the faith or because they were an active convert to the faith.
Of course no insult is meant to Jehovah's Witnesses or anybody else by hosting this list. Personally, reading the biographies and faith statements of many famous Jehovah's Witnesses has helped tear down some stereotypes for me. It simply isn't true, for example, that this faith necessarily stifles creativity or achievement. Clearly, many adherents to the faith (including people raised in it as well as converts who chose to become Witnesses as adults) have been very famous creative people or have been very successful, as measured by worldly standards.
Regardless of the obvious tensions between the pressures of worldly fame, versus remaining active in a religious faith which expects all of its members to live according to the highest Biblical standards of ethics and morality, there are indeed many "famous" adherents who have strived to remain faithful. Even for those who have failed to balance fame and success with the demands of their faith, the teachings and values they were raised with or embraced at some point as an adult remain forever an influence in their lives. Were this not true, these individuals would not be listed here at all. This list is based on what famous people themselves have said to interviewers and to the public. We have no access to actual Jehovah's Witness membership or attendance records. If a celebrity or famous person doesn't talk publicly about their experiences as a Jehovah's Witness, we would have no way of knowing about this part of their lives.
The actions of a single individual should never be used to judge an entire group of people, and I believe most people realize this. Anybody who does try to condemn Jehovah's Witnesses by the behavior of their "worst" lapsed members or former members will stand instantly condemned themselves. This is because the cumulative behavior of the famous (and infamous) members of the group the accuser belongs to is far worse than anything they will be able to dig up relating to people who have been Jehovah's Witnesses. This is true of essentially any sufficiently large religious group. It is true also of anti-religious people, who are nearly always wise enough to avoid condemning entire groups by the actions of individuals, lest they be asked to answer for the hundreds of millions of murders perpetrated by Lenin, Pol Pot, Stalin, Adolph Hitler, Mao, Mussolini, Nicolae Ceausescu, Joseph Goebbels, Maximillien Robespierre, etc.

Shirley Lowery got a reaction from Andre Plamondon in Zechariah 3 - Who is "my servant Sprout!"?
According to the INSIGHT ON THE SCRIPTURES Vol.2, page 1225 in the HIGHLIGHTS OF ZECHARIAH, This was a prophecy about "Sprout" which was Jesus Christ! As all these eight visions come true The man named Sprout will build Jehovah's temple and serve as king- priest!  There were eight visions! The  third vision  was referring to the young man with a measuring rope prepares to measure Jerusalem, but an angel foretells more growth as well as Jehovah's protection for the city. As in Zechariah 2:1 states: a man with a measuring line in his hand... but the INSIGHT ON THE SCRIPTURES refers to the man as a young man; and the measuring line to a measuring rope! I hope this research I looked into answers your question! Agape love, Shirley

My Last Conversation With Prince, R.I.P.    ( Neil Strauss,  April 21, 2016 )
I just heard moments ago the tragic news that Prince, one of the greatest recording and live artists of our time, passed away.
Over the years of writing about music,  I’ve interviewed him, seen him perform big and small shows,  and even run afoul of him.
The following obituary of sorts is from my last encounter with him, when the tables got turned. Instead of me interviewing Prince, somehow he started interviewing me.  However, his questions were often more revealing about his character than answers would be in a normal interview.
The location was a Los Angeles club, where Prince sat with his entourage in a roped-off section, sporting a pencil-thin mustache, and a 80s puffy black shirt with vertical white vents. Suddenly, he started barraging me with questions, carefully evaluating each answer, as if he were giving me a test.
Because  Prince  doesn’t  allow  reporters  to  record  his  voice,  the following is paraphrased and reconstructed from notes made at the time.
Prince: So what else do you do?
    Me: I also write books.
    What are they about?
The last one was called The Game. I spent two years studying the techniques of the world’s greatest pick up artists.
    What were the others about?
I wrote books about people in entertainment. I did one with Motley Crue, another with Jenna Jameson, and some others about music.
    So you write rock books?
I guess I mostly write about the dark side.
    Why the dark side?
    Because it’s more interesting.
But the light side can be interesting too.
I suppose it can be. I never thought of that.
    Do you believe in God?
I definitely believe in something greater than ourselves, but it depends on how you define God. (pause) Why did you ask that question?
Because it lets me know what someone is about. If you think about it, the light side can be just as interesting as the dark side.
Maybe I should write a book about that.
If you want to write a book about a mystery, I have one for you. Do you like mysteries?
I love mysteries. That’s what storytelling is all about.
Have you ever studied the Bible?
I’ve read the Bible, but never studied it.
What do you mean by the Bible?
    The old and new testaments.
Which version of the Bible did you read?
    The King James.
The New World version is the most accurate version. It’s also the best. It doesn’t have the thee’s and thou’s. It’s just ordinary language. Do you pray?
    I don’t pray. I’ve meditated though.
    Why not?
    I wasn’t raised to.
    Are your parents religious?
Yes, but they didn’t really practice.
    What did they do?
It was more important as a community to them.
    Why is that important?
Perhaps as a sense of identity?
    Isn’t that racism?
I don’t think it’s about race. It does seem to be an unfortunate trait of human nature though to make divisions and pick sides, whether it’s shirts versus skins or different sports teams.
    Want to hear the mystery?
    I’m ready.
The mystery is  (long, dramatic pause): Why has the name God been slowly removed from the Bible?
    What do you mean?
They have slowly taken the name God out of the Bible and replaced it with Lord. Do you know why?
Probably to give themselves more power?
It’s about power, and people wanting to control others.
Why do you think they want power?
I don’t know. I think the problem with organized religion is that people who go to worship often need a conduit to God, or an authority telling them what’s right and wrong. And that authority is sometimes abused.
But you need an authority, otherwise who are you responsible to?
    You’re responsible to yourself.
And the being who created the world and the trees and the oceans, you just ignore?   Oh, I thought you meant a human authority.
You can be responsible to God. Gratitude is very important.
(Prince begins talking in a hushed voice about the death of his father, and how it was hard for him. The club, unfortunately, is loud, and I’m not able to make out every word he says.)
Everyone has a rock bottom. We know what the rock bottom is.
But what’s the limit to happiness?
Has anyone reached the rock top?  I wonder what that would be.
From here, the discussion turns to Jehovah’s Witnesses, 9/11, violence in society, and a dozen other related subjects. At one point, he gestures to his band, the New Power Generation, and the rest of his entourage, and explains . . .
We like to talk like this. We can talk forever about what’s wrong, but we like to think about solutions. Most people don’t want to talk about politics and religion. They say, “Let’s talk about something else.”
But what else is there? That’s what our civilization is about.
    That’s right.
So let me ask you something: Do you think God is looking after each and every individual, or does he sometimes have to harm an individual in order to serve the greater good of the universe?
When everyone recognizes Jehovah’s name, then everyone will be happy because everyone will know what to do and how to do it.
    Really ?   -  That’s it.
    It’s really that simple.
