Circa 1972 I was at a JW Convention at the Hampton Roads, Virginia Coliseum, looking with binoculars at the Sunday afternoon speaker at the lectern on the coliseum floor, and I noticed he had fluorescent yellow patent leather shoes. My only thought was “Where do you even BUY shoes like that?”.

The Apostle Paul mentioned that he was all things to all people, and I strongly suspect while in port cities and on sailing ships his vocabulary and demeanor were different than that at a lectern or podium.
But …. I cannot imagine him having any sense of humor whatsoever, or being insulted when or if a real or imagined insult was attempted.
Much like if Superman was real, and someone disrespected him by noting he wore red underwear with a yellow belt, over a blue leotard, and wore a cape to hide his butt crack.
He’s Superman!
Why should he care?

I enjoy and somewhat emulate the humor of the great father of humor Mel Brooks and Robin Williams, with a bit of George Carlin thrown in.

It depends on your sense of humor. I have found the more competent and aware a person is, the harder it is to insult him.

If this news is true and if the investigation is carried out properly then it is good news, both for victims and for children.
It would be nice to see this happen Earthwide, if done properly when evidence was available to show genuine reason to do so. 
I cannot understand why HQ in USA / Bethel USA  / GB members homes, are not 'raided' for similar reasons. I presume there is some form of protection racket going on. 
But the cleansing has started and it will continue. If God wants the JW Org clean then He will have it clean, and if God wants the JW Org destroyed then He will have it destroyed. Jesus Christ will do the will of his Father. There will, one day, be a pure organisation here on this Earth through which people will serve God properly. 
Ten men clinging to the skirt of a ' spiritual Jew ', it will happen. Only then will people know truth and be able to face Armageddon.

Nothing wrong with this picture....why follow the traditions of men? Running down to the JP is NOT the same as getting married in the Hall and having a brother marring them and getting Jehovah's blessing. Do not be judging our brothers.

Queen Esther...it did say "Infested " water....I know our brothers walk thru water, deep water to reach people but I doubt they do it in infested water without some protection. And JTR our skin does not prevent us from getting diseases from infested water. So it is a personal choice. I do admire and respect those who go above and beyond for our Wonderful God Jehovah.

For the same reason all the little JW kids watch Lion King and enjoy Elton John sing "circle of life" despite the fact that he is a flaming homosexual.
At some point I could ask you "Why would you be on the Internet itself when Watchtower for years proclaimed it as a dangerous place to be?"  Shouldn't you heed the advice of the Governing Body of 1999?

To me it's not about counting the time but encouraging our brothers and sisters. If all you are concerned about is counting time...do it elsewhere. If they are baptized I would think it would not be appropriate. Should be putting our hearts into that visit and be genuinely concerned about their spiritual health.
