December 9, 2008 TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS Re: Data protection procedures

Annual audit of files: Each year we will provide a checklist-style worksheet to help service committees accomplish the audit of files. This audit should be completed before December 31 of each year. The circuit overseer will ask to see this checklist to make sure the audit has been carried out effectively. Your close attention to this will help ensure that your files are in good condition.

December 5, 2008 TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS Re: Index to Letters and congregation’s file

Material involving child abuse should be handled in line with our December 9, 2008, letter and the annual Checklist for Audit of Files. Notification of Disfellowshipping or Disassociation forms on individuals who have not been reinstated should also be kept indefinitely.

  … and donchew forget now … the GB now allows Sisters to come to meetings and go out in field service in slacks or Mumus. Or slacks AND Mumus, if poundage appropriate. Did I ever mention I once dated a Sister that made Mumus out of parachutes? She was an Opera singer, and had a UN diplomatic passport. She was on “speed”, couldn’t blink, and typed 600 words a minute with 100% errors. Occasionally she would get lipstick in her eyebrows.

  In my perspective, when the Smithsonian Magazine covers a topic, I am inclined to trust their expertise. As for the shadows here, I see no benefit in entertaining irrational ideas from others. Let them hold onto their own beliefs. We shouldn't further enable their self-deception and misleading of the public.
