The Catechism of the Catholic Church (Latin: Catechismus Catholicae Ecclesiae; commonly called the Catechism or the CCC) is a catechism promulgated for the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II in 1992. It sums up, in book form, the beliefs of the Catholic faithful. The decision to publish a catechism was taken at the Extraordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops that was convened by Pope John Paul II on 25 January 1985 for the 20th anniversary of the close of the Second Vatican Council, and in 1986, put a commission composed of 12 bishops and cardinals in charge of the project. Why would not autism be counted as a modern day plague? Depending on your source, (I cite the most extreme for dramatic effect) what was once 1 in 10,000 has become 1 in 29. You can reduce the numbers on both ends, especially the first, by tricks of semantics....'autism' vs 'autism spectrum,' for example. But the disparity is still astronomical. Given that autism victims do not die, but instead usually require lifelong care, it is but another 'plague' that will bankrupt society, even apart from its human cost.

A model of the new K-62 helicopter conducted its first flight near Moscow on Friday.It was airborne for 15 minutes, reaching a speed of 110km/h (68,3mi/h). During the flight, engineers tested the aircraft’s capabilities and the functioning of its onboard equipment.The Ka-62 helicopter is an improved and redesigned version of the Ka-60 helicopter. It is equipped with two Turbomeca Ardidien 3G motors and is able to reach speeds of up to 310km/h (192,6mi/h). The aircraft can be used for military and rescue operations, transportation, and other purposes.
