A Welsh horticulturist by the name of Mike Smith has bred a variety of pepper that is so hot it could cause a life-threatening anaphylactic shock if consumed. This new pepper, dubbed the Dragon Breath Chilli, measures 2.48m on the Scoville scale. That means that it’s considerably hotter than the previous all-time record holder, the Carolina Reaper, which measures near 2.2m heat units. (Your average jalapeño pepper, by comparison, measures between 2,500 and 10,000 on the Scoville scale). Here’s the Dragon’s Breath Chilli on the vine: Read more: https://www.eater.com/2017/5/18/15657772/dragons-breath-chilli-hottest-pepper-in-the-world

Basically they are moving turds spreading disease..... nasty..... and dangerous. Can they be completely eradicated? Should they be COMPLETELY eradicated? I sometimes wonder why we haven't eradicated deadly poisonous snakes for instance.

Health experts say the shift is due to more women waiting longer to have children and the ongoing drop in the teen birth rate. For more than three decades, women in their late 20s had the highest birth rates, but that changed last year, according to preliminary data released Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The birth rate for women ages 30 to 34 was about 103 per 100,000; the rate for women ages 25 to 29 was 102 per 100,000. The CDC did not release the actual numbers of deliveries for each age group. It’s be…

There's a straightforward way to live longer after being diagnosed with advanced cancer and it doesn't involve chemotherapy or surgery. It's just eating right and exercising more, doctors reported Wednesday. Cancer survivors who followed standard American Cancer Society guidelines for healthy living were 42 percent less likely to die than similar survivors who didn't, researchers found. "We found that patients who maintain a healthy body weight, engage in regular physical activity, and eat a diet rich in vegetables and whole grains and low in red meats and processed meats did better and survived longer than those who didn't," said Dr. Erin Van Blarigan of the Un…
