    Many were baptized into the organization before the stipulation was made of dedicating oneself to the organization.

    When one of those individuals baptized in the early 80's and before, wakes up to their own captivity under the rules of men (Col 2:20-23); and persistently rejects the organization today, should that be termed a gross sin, requiring shunning or disfellowshipping?
    Do God's rules ever change?  Or, is it men changing their rules; who operate an organization,and devise new and  improved  'hard and fast rules' necessary to keep the flock penned in, for their apparent 'safety'?
    Stay in Jehovah’s organization! It’s the only way of life that brings happiness.”  W 10/6/15 pg 9,10
    Here is God's rule through Christ:
    Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."  John 10:7-10
    Jesus is the only way to life, according to his words.  He is not an organization; yet, the organization "kills" those who reject it, and turn to Christ.    Not only does it rob people away from Christ, but it threatens people with loss of family, and home for rejecting it.
    It is truly, a thieving BEAST.  Rev 13:1,4-10, 11,15; 11:1-3,7; 18:4-8

    Does this sort of behavior, that other society groups shows in their environment, is also Bible based and approved by God, no matter  of fact that they are not JW's?  Can we conclude how they also doing God's will, no matter of their spiritual position before that same God and because they belong, or not belong, to some religion, but not to JW religion?
    If i would judge myself, i would agree with picture how i am very naive :)) But we are not speaking about me or you. We making observation on JW religion, their history and present time. My world is "small" :)) and i will not return back any idea about your "world", because that is not of my concern. I want to speak about "Ideas", not about people and their's "small or big worlds".
    We can talk about "JW standards"and "WT Society standards".
     I hope you will accept this humble direction about/for our future conversation. :))

    As you can see, i made accent with word "shun" on custom of JW org. Shunning is usual practice inside JW org.
    But we are also aware of some practice when JW's ask dfd member to live the house (not area). Various Gradation of "expelling people" because of religious (and other) reasons is visible in many social groups.

    You have to understand where Foreigner and his alter egos are coming from.
    Every one of them has a severe case of (and this is a real thing, you can look up ...) Of "Narcissistic Personality Disorder", which governs every aspect of his/her/their thinking..
    There are people that have SOME of the symptoms, but he/her/them has/have consistently displayed most or all of them.
    It is compulsive, and they cannot stop being who he/her/they are, any more than a Watchtower Lawyer can  work for Justice, and not his client's fiduciary interests.

    None of us here, walked the earth when Jesus did.  None of us, can know for certain if his hair was always washed, neat and trimmed with a good pair of scissors.  Especially, during the 40 days and nights he spent in the wilderness, which was the theme of the painting by the Russian artist.     But, there is one thing that I am most confident in knowing.  Jesus Christ today, does not wear a red, comical superman cape, that your leaders have taken the liberty in assuming he does.     They've really stretched the boundary of scripture there, haven't they!

    So there is no distinction between what the Catholics thought Jesus looked like, and the organization.  Hmmm.  No spiritual insight by those in “Jehovah’s organization” (yes, I said it again) that Jesus was a native Jew and probably took on the characteristics of a native Jew, as his cousin John the Baptist did in the drawing above. You are telling me that no distinction is seen in this area between Christendom's perception and the organization's perception.
     By today’s standards, does the organization have it right yet?
    This is a painting of  Christ which I believe reveals the suffering he experienced, walking his path in truth while on earth.  The Russian painter , not a JW, seemed to comprehend Isa 53:2   He produced this painting in 1872.

     "He grew up before him like a young plant and like a root out of dry ground. He didn't have an impressive form or majesty that we should look at him, no appearance that we should desire him."

    The following are the organization’s drawings of Jesus.  Notice the terrific hairdos, always nicely manicured.  I mean, it's a layered cut.

    What is more important, the outer appearance of  a man, or what lies in his heart?  John 6:63; Matt 15:18,19  The way the organization depicts Jesus, is the way JWs are to appear to others in the world.  Physical appearance regarding people, their dress, the appearance of  buildings, and whatever else we can see with our eyes, are of utmost importance.  How the organization is viewed in a worldly way takes precedence over its ability to produce sound, lasting, spiritual truth.   The WT's sins, are covered over carefully by this facade of eye-catching desirability.
      As Jesus told the Pharisees,
    Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness."  Luke 11:39
    The message behind the first picture expresses the thought that the glory of Jesus,  is perceived only with spiritual eyes.  John 13:31,32  No wonder the organization draws Jesus as it does.  He is seen through the eyes of worldly men, who treasure their worldly possessions;  forgetting that God sees all of us far differently.
    And he told them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly admired by people is revolting in God's sight.  Luke 16:15
     But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the LORD sees,  for humans see what is visible, but the LORD sees the heart."  1 Sam 16:17
    Am I a Christian?  I bore testimony to Christ, and I was disfellowshipped for it.   Luke 21:12-15;  John 16:2; Rev 13:15; 11:7

    The story is completely short on details, and long on second hand accounts.
    I would be embarrassed to even relate something as infantile as that story.
    It DELIBERATELY leaves out any references that can be checked, for veracity.
    Besides that, it is so improbable as to be impossible.
    It lacks any vestige of integrity.
    It assumes we can be lied to, and we are too stupid to notice such things.
    As a general rule, that may be a correct assumption.
    A three legged horse MAY win the race, and this story MAY be completely true ... but that is not the way sane people would bet.

But Anna quoted something from another website with enough material in it to make 100 posts the length of this one.
    For example, if I mention mad cow disease as an aside, I know that JTR, for example, just might be able to find a video about cows that are arming themselves with guns for some kind of revolution, or something. But I doubt that this means JTR wants to discuss either mad cow disease or the advisability of allowing four-legged creatures to have arms.

    How did WT Society see Nazi German period, when Society were "young"? How looked time frame for Society?

    In this scholar analysis, author saw how JW Organization and members had WRONG Scripture interpretations, expectations, doctrine  and beliefs in this, so called, Time Frame. As few times before and after this time point, too.  By using this Book analysis, i would conclude how Spiritual Leaders of WT Society in that period of time (and today, too) had been led by Time Frame and own understanding, more than by Bible, Spirit, Angel, Prayer etc.

    Well, according to this, German leadership knew details from Letter and general membership Not. And how would You feel if somebody call you "Antichrist" and that you will be destroy in the "coming battle of the end" if not kneel down to Jesus Representatives on Earth aka WT Society?
    Again, WT Society made collective atmosphere of "hysteria" about how end of the world is here, so why not to give your life as member, because tomorrow you will be resurrected? Time Frame, again. But this is Inside Work of how so called Time Frame have to look if you are JW.
    Again, to copy paste:  These straightforward statements left the Reichskanzler with only two possible conclusions: either the Declaration was the product of the collective imaginations of some crazed religious group or, it was, in its mad boldness, a declaration of war from a David against a Goliath.
    Here we see, how this book's "worldly" perspective was clearly said what JW members do not see. Declaration was product of one or of both facts. That JW was in "collective imagination" and that they "declare war to Hitler".

    Really? Is this true? In what Time Frame is this statement true and in what Time Frame it is a lie?

    WT Society saw political situation of the world in absurd imagination of Own Time Frame.
    All credit we can give to those JW who resist the "evil",  even if they done that with lack of rational human mind. Other people also resist the evil, passively too. Some other had fight against evil and win it (temporary) and that is why this biblical-fundamentalist Christian group  not ended in elimination. Or if you want it in this way: God allowed such outcome. What ever that means, because in JW terminology "allowed" doesn't mean how God approved or justified something.

    Srecko Sostar reacted to Shiwiii in What is the point of surviving Judgement Day if you can achieve the same thing by waiting 1,000 years dead?
    I disagree with those resurrected during the 100 years. See my explanation below.
    1. yes
    2. depends on how you view Pauls statement in 2 Corinthians 5:1-10. I do believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
    3. See below
    4. See below

    It doesn't,  See below for my understanding.

    all references to a particular verse pertain to Revelation 20, unless otherwise noted.
    All of Revelation chapter 20 explains this I feel. Starting at verse 1, we are told of how Satan would be bound for the 1000 years. Then we see how those who have been give n the authority to judge, will do so.
    Whom are these going to judge? Verses 4-6 tell us that they are those who have done well and lived as God has required, No image of the beast, no mark, their testimony about Jesus. We are told these are blessed and holy. 1 Corinthians 15 23-26 explains the order in which resurrection takes place and to whom, those who belong to Christ. This chapter in 1 Cor tells us more. It tells us that not all who belong to Christ will die first, nope some will be changed without ever tasting human death, 1 Cor verse 51. No mention of the unjust yet.
    Rev 20 verse 7 states "When the 1000 years are over,..." so this takes place after the 1000 years.  This is after Kingdom rule started and those who were still alive AFTER Armageddon. This is proven by  Rev Chapter 19 where it is stated that the beast was captured and false prophet were thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. The signs that these two performed prior were what deluded many into taking the mark of the beast and worshiping the beast.  So at this point it is chronological, ch 19 then ch 20.  So during Armageddon, some will survive, but not all.  Those who do survive are under rule for the 1000 years. There is no mention of ANY resurrection during the 1000 years, only after.
    Judgement of the dead comes after the 1000 year reign and after the battle of Gog and Magog. This is not the judgement of the living, but those who died anytime prior to this moment. Verse 12 tells us that all of the dead are standing before the throne awaiting judgement and they were judged based upon what they had done while living.  Ch 20 verse 15,  If their names were not written in the Book of Life........gone, lake of fire gone, second death.
    Once this judgement is over, the new heaven and new earth come into play and ch 21 verses 6-8 restate whom will be thrown in the lake of burning sulfur, the second death.

    I'm sure not all of you will agree with me, its ok. However, this is what I believe based on God's word.

    So if  jw's believe that there is a second chance/resurrection to try again during the 1000 years or after, I completely disagree. I just cannot see where in scripture that can be supported. If someone can show me, that would be great, but I just don't see it.

    This is why there currently are so many useless generic degrees at universities and such unscientific studies in gender studies etc.... all pushed by UN to forward their Agenda 21 goals.
    (I worked for an umbrella organization which restructured 15 technical universities to comply with UN regulations in Africa..... 24 years ago....
    They ruined a perfectly good system while chancellors and vice-chancellors accepted all new guidelines - because the "holy" UN was giving instructions.)

    Srecko Sostar reacted to Witness in The New Light on Locusts of Joel 2 and Revelation 22
    Thanks,  I found the same on reddit:
    “The locusts of Joel Chapter 2 no longer refer to Jehovah's Witnesses and events surrounding 1919. The locusts in Revelation chapter 22 however still do refer to the anointed, but are now no longer connected with the prophecy on Joel. Joel 2 now refers to the "Babylonians", the coalition of nations that will try to destroy God's people. The context of Joel chapter 2 points the time period of fulfilment to Jehovah's Day in the Great Tribulation and how God will save his people.”

    JWs, see “Live with Jehovah’s Day in Mind” (pg 172,173; par 12, 2006), which refers to that day’s present “truth”, concerning Revelation and Joel’s locusts defined as “God’s people”.  How is it, that the organization’s leaders just recently realize that the locusts in the book of Joel are out to destroy God’s people?  Joel 2:25,27-32   Locusts have never been portrayed as a good thing in the scriptures.  In Revelation, why would God consider His own people as a devastating plague?
    Both Revelation and Joel refer to the last days, Armageddon.  Joel 3:14,15; Rev 16:13-16
    They both refer to a foreign nation coming against God’s holy people. Joel 1:6; Rev 9:4; Rev 11:1,2;13:7
    It appears Mr. Splane is basically saying there are two locust armies present in the last days, sharing the same characteristics.  Do the good guys and the bad guys spiritually, look and act exactly the same; as horses with lion’s heads, dark, foreboding, chewing, destructive by use of fiery words filled with ugly intentions?  JWs, I hope if you compare the scriptures, you can determine they are the same army that comes against God’s “saints” in the last days.  That army resides with you, as the elder body ruling over God’s “land”; his anointed priesthood, (1 Pet 2:5,9) who do not have the seal of God upon their foreheads. (Rev 9:4)  Instead, they carry the mark of an organization; the “mark of the Beast” which is the mark of an idol.  You receive this mark not only at your baptism, but through your activities all performed for the organization. Rev 13:16,17   Anyone who recognize this destructive army and refuse to acknowledge its power over him, is “killed” – disfellowshipped; which also, removes the mark of the Beast.  Rev 13:1,4-10,15; 19:20
    Elders here, would not consider themselves as destructive.  Only by researching God's early priesthood and comparing today's necessary obedience of His priesthood under Christ, to a GB and massive army of elders, would anyone realize how this duel leadership is one of blasphemy, according to God's decrees.  Dan 11:31; 8:11; Rev 11:2; 1 Cor 3:16; 1 Pet 2:9; Mal 2:7; Ezek 44:6-9; 2 Chron 13:9
    We cannot serve two Masters.  Matt 6:24  We cannot proclaim both the doctrine of God and Christ, and the doctrine of men.  They conflict; for one is pure, from God; and the other is corruptive, as proven by Splane’s effort to veil the power given to his own army, through which his spiritual “brothers” are silenced and restricted from bonding together. Matt 24:48-51  To allow the anointed to gather together, is a threatening act toward the exposure of truth. 1 John 2:20 So, they claim it would threaten the unity of all JWs in the organization.  I so wish you could see how this is emotional and spiritual blackmail committed toward the "royal priesthood".
     The only way to make  a selling point of their doctrine on the locusts, is to separate the identities.   However, one anointed woman saw the true meaning of the locusts in Joel and Revelation, several years ago.   Her messages have made it necessary for Watchtower to change its “truth”.

    I hope you take time to compare the scriptures about the locusts from both Joel and Revelation:
    Joel 1:6:  For a nation has come up against My land,
    Strong, and without number;
    His teeth are the teeth of a lion,
    And he has the fangs of a fierce lion.
    Rev 9:8:  They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Joel 1:4:  What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten;
    What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten;
    And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.
    Rev 9:3:   “Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”
    Ezek 2:6:  “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Joel 2:2:  “A day of darkness and gloominess,
    A day of clouds and thick darkness,
    Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.
    A people come, great and strong,
    The like of whom has never been;
    Nor will there ever be any such after them,
    Even for many successive generations.”
    Joel 2:10:  “The earth quakes before them,
    The heavens tremble;
    The sun and moon grow dark,
    And the stars diminish their brightness.”
    Rev 9:2,3:  “And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.  Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
    Ezek 2:6:  “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Joel 2:4:  “Their appearance is like the appearance of horses;
    And like swift steeds, so they run.” (KJV – “and they galloped like war horses”)
    Rev 9:7:  “The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.”
    Rev 9:17:  “And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.”  (1 Pet 5:8)
    Rev 9:19:  For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.
    1 Pet 5:8:  “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
    Ezek 2:6 - “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Joel 2:5:  “With a noise like chariots
    Over mountaintops they leap,
    Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble,
    Like a strong people set in battle array.”
    Rev 9:9: “And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Joel 2:6: “Before them the people writhe in pain;
    All faces are drained of color.”
    Rev 9:5,6:  “And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.  In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Joel 2:3:  “A fire devours before them,
    And behind them a flame burns;
    The land is like the Garden of Eden before them,
    And behind them a desolate wilderness;
    Surely nothing shall escape them.”
    Rev 9:18:  “By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.”
    Rev 9:20:  “But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.” (Zech 13:8; Rev 2:16; Rev 13:10)

    Joel 1:6:  “For a nation has come up against My land,
    Strong, and without number;
    His teeth are the teeth of a lion,
    And he has the fangs of a fierce lion.”
    Jer 5:17-19:  “And they shall eat up your harvest and your bread,
    Which your sons and daughters should eat.
    They shall eat up your flocks and your herds;
    They shall eat up your vines and your fig trees;
    They shall destroy your fortified cities,
    In which you trust, with the sword.
    18 “Nevertheless in those days,” says the Lord, “I will not make a complete end of you. 19 And it will be when you say, ‘Why does the Lord our God do all these things to us?’ then you shall answer them, ‘Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

    Years ago, I sent my family to an assembly somewhere,  and they were gone four days (which cost me about $600) and when they came back they said I REALLY REALLY should have gone with them
    They were excited, and I asked them what they learned that was so great (that took 4 days, and $600 to learn ... but I didn't say that out loud ...).
    They said that that they learned that what we USED to believe about Nebuchadnezzer's Image in the book of Daniel was all wrong, and the TOES, which used to mean something completely different ... NOW mean something NEW that is completely different.  They were as excited as a puppy with a pork chop about this.
    Somehow, I was less than enthused, and visualized six, one hundred dollar bills with wings, flying South for the winter, never to be seen again.
    I suspect that revelation could have been put on one side of a post card, and still would not be worth the postage.

    They all had the same frame of mind - that is why I mentioned the overall racist frame of mind of everyone in USA.  I do not think br Rutherford said to the artist he must draw a light guy.... he just did it automatically and it was approved.
