The  devil  and  the  duck....

A little boy visited his grandparents who lived on a farm. They gave him a slingshot so he could play nicely in the woods. There he tirelessly aimed at tree trunks, but never met. Finally, he made himself a bit depressed on the way home for dinner.

Ornis's favorite duck crossed his path. Just for fun, he aimed at her and - he did not know how it happened - met with the little stone exactly her head! The duck was dead immediately. Could not believe what had happened in a few seconds. In desperation, he hid the duck under a pile of firewood. Now he also noticed that Susi, his sister, had seen everything.

After lunch, the grandmother said, "Suzy, will you help me with the dishes, please?" But Susie cheerfully shouted, "Grandma, Timmy just told me he wants to help in the kitchen!" And she hissed in his direction: "You know - the duck!" Timmy washed the dishes.

Later that afternoon, Grandfather announced that he would like to take the kids to fish, but the grandmother said, "I'm sorry, but I really need Suzi to cook!" Suzy smiled and said, "Grandma, no problem at all Timmy told me that he would much rather help you! " And again she whispered to him, "You know - the duck!" So Susi went fishing and Timmy helped with the cooking.

After Timmy had taken over both his and his sister's household duties for a few days, he just could not take it anymore. He went to his grandmother and confessed to her the accident with the duck.

She knelt down, hugged him and said: "Oh my dear boy, I already know that. I was just standing by the window and saw exactly how the accident happened. But I like you so much and I can not be mad at you for such a mishap. I was just thinking how long you will allow Susi to make you a slave! "

The lesson that can be learned from it - for today and for all times - is this: Whatever has happened in our past, whatever we have done and what the devil is constantly rubbing our noses, lies, theft, Cowardice, hatred, anger, harshness, bitterness etc. Whatever it is, we need to understand with all our hearts that Jehovah stood by the window and saw everything. Yes, he has seen our whole life. He wants us to understand that he loves us and gives us forgiveness. But he also worries how long we allow the devil to make us a slave!

JEHOVAH  WAS  WATCHING  AT  THE  WINDOW......

Many  of  us  knowing  that story,  but  we  all  can  learn  from  it. - The  devil  is  more  and  more  after  us  all !
