Yes, I read a brief synopsis and I see where you are coming from. It sounds like the kind of movie I would enjoy. Have to see if Netflix has it...

It was that week that I had to stay in bed, up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. They had a VCR/DVD player that only had one movie on it. So I ended up watching Bill Murray in Groundhog Day about 30 time

My favorite scene was when, at the front door of the Piano teacher, Bill Murray offered her a thousand dollars (?) for a piano lesson, and the teacher threw the little girl student out the door.

Turns out to be much more interesting than the premise. Also, I think it will help make sense of my post.

I was baptized in August 1977 and the years from 1976 thru 1980 were the best years of my life because of the brilliant journey of discovery I was on learning about Jehovah and Jesus. These were the happyist years of my life and would relive them if I could. I thank Jehovah and bless that day in early 1976 when a sister dropped a tract into my letterbox because it changed my life totally.

I am still a witness.

I liken making that “journey of discovery” to assembling the 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and reproducing the mountain vista on the box cover. Having done this, you are pretty much immune to the critic who comes along later and says you did it wrong. You are especially immune if that critic’s own puzzle lies boxed and unassembled on his closet shelf.

And when you are cruising down the highway at 60 MPH, you are pretty much immune to the atheist on the radio telling you that your car doesn’t run.

If you could pick one moment (like a week) to relive over and over for the rest of your life which week would it be?

Many years ago, when a group of boys and girls,  used to sit watching the sunset at a public park, or just talking about everything after playing soccer or basketball. We did not have internet, not even  at  homes,  a few of us  had cellphones, no one was married, no one had debts... 😃

    • Should Christians place greater trust in human-created philosophies or should a genuine Christian ground their desires from the scriptural perspective on the frailties of the mind and body? Psychology often falls short when it clashes with personal beliefs, regardless of the intentions behind it. James 1:14, Romans 12: 2 It also acts as a guide to clarify misconceptions, such as labeling "shunning" as an evil act rather than recognizing it as a corrective measure or a personal choice. This suggests a misunderstanding on the part of experts, more so than scholars, regarding psychological matters. The forum is structured around Christian ethics.
