Hi- nice to see you are still here.  Jehovah does not change.   Jesus DID encourage us to not love money but it is not wrong to let money work for you. Especially if you are preaching full time and you have a property lying fallow - it can later be sold for a profit.
To make property pay you have to pay now but reap dividends later when the property has picked up more value - an investment which one does not have to work hard at.

I can't imagine even one exjw being jealous of Stephen Lett.  It's not about jealously.  It's about hypocrisy, which is the opposite of righteousness.  

Many of what you said is in place. Western capitalism in US is different than in Europe. And many of us we who live in Europe are blessed by been born and live here. 
How people making money for living is interesting to discuss. I think how, generally said, the bigger money that some individual making can also can be connected with more people who have less  for living. I am going to idealistic sphere, of course, but we can agree how people not need necessary to drive Mercedes, when also exists cheaper cars to buy. Yes, some people can afford to have "holiday property next to sea or mountain". But, if you or any other JW and GB "preaching" how spiritual "things" are what really matters ...than what is a point to have another house, and invest more money to have it, to keep it??? You need to earn more  money to buy and to hold second house. In the same time some other people can't afford even basic things for life. System is wrong, we can agree. But we making system to live, and we make decision to have holiday property and with that contribute to injustice, generally. 
I guess,Abraham and Jacob working hard, but in the same time support slavery and material imbalance of society. Is that "God's blessings"? or just old world system?? :))
What S. Lett supporting? By words and by silence about this and that aspects about material things in own family.
 
 

I don't believe the maker of the video was showing jealousy; but instead, he was showing your leader  up as a hypocrite.  As this video also shows, about the vow of poverty that all in Bethel are under, including the governing body.

46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

The GB and Writing department are physical men not spiritual men.
They need physical signs as they have no true Faith in God or Christ. 
They grab hold of anything to use it as a sign.
 

Disparaging remarks are harmful and counterproductive. All the more so since we are living deep in the last days.
 I am calling for an immediate moratorium on them—to commence just after I get my own licks in.

I thought it was only supposed to be about "Boy George" so I avoided it. 😉

The situation is not good earth wide. 

My wife and mother in law stay home tonight. Obviously meeting is canceled, but i think they are listen on tablet or by similar way, now, in her mother apartment.
There is no kindergarten, schools and university from tomorrow (Monday). I expect complete quarantine very soon.  

I try to participate with music in Arts and Culture club. But people are very "neutral". No comments or reaction :)))))

I found ironic this situation about canceling JW meetings. First have to say it is good measure because of health. But on other hand all this drill from platform how people must be on every meeting, obey God with assembling together. If you don't come you can missed to  receive important life saving information, even if you don't feel alright - physically or spiritually. meetings and preaching service can cure you :))
Well, Bible gave command to not miss meetings, but elders and secular people say, you have to miss :))) Must be satan who is behind all this  :))) 

Tom you live in a dream world. Your GB doesn't tell JWs to trust in Jesus. Your GB tells JWs to trust in the GB.
Don't you remember that being said by one member of the GB. To trust them.

So the trust should be in God through Christ right  ?
Acceptance and obedience should then also be to God through Christ right ?
But your Governing Body call themselves the F&DS and they want acceptance and obedience to them, to those 8 men. But at the same time they admit to NOT being inspired or guided by God's Holy Spirit. 
They admit that they make mistakes and get it wrong but they still expect 'acceptance and obedience'. 
They make up rules, they take over people consciences, they domineer. They exalt themselves above all the true Anointed ones. 
Truth would set a person free from lies, but your GB do not have truth. All they have is their own personal opinions. You and I have our own personal opinions, but you wouldn't obey me and I wouldn't obey you. So why should anyone obey those 8 men that have exalted themselves above others ? They are no better than politicians that exalt themselves.

Nothing sets us free. We as humans are never and will never be free.
Humans are in subjection and always will be. 
Quote " Before the truth sets you free, it tends to make you miserable. "
Nothing can 'make you miserable'. People own their own feelings. A person can make themselves miserable. 
For instance, if one is completely shunned by the CCJW, one can decide how they will deal with it.
A person could become self centred and feel sorry for their position. OR, a person could find other things to make life feel better. Remembering that God and Christ do not shun. God and Christ are always there. No one can take your prayers away from you.
And a person should only be miserable if they are having negative thoughts and feelings. So, control your own thoughts and feelings. But remember that we all live within limitations. We have physical limitations and spiritual ones. I've concluded that i will never truly understand scripture, so be it. I don't intend crying about it. I've also concluded that I'm not really as spiritual as I should be, and once again I'll just live with that. But I'm not seeking to 'be free', because we were designed not to be free. 
Humans were designed to be guided by God. God has stopped guiding us it seems. My faith tells me that a time is coming when God will once again guide humans that want to be guided. I'm waiting on God to act. Maybe I'll die before God acts, who knows. Meanwhile I'll fill my life with other things. 
But there is no freedom for humans. We are in subjection to God through Christ, or, subjection to 'the devil through this world'.  We are also in subjection to growing old and to death, unless God changes that. 
Unfortunately the CCJW continue with their lies which makes million of  people in subjection to the GB and the CCJW. Do they call that being free ?
