To some people Rap "Music" is harmonious.
I like bagpipe music, but many people think someone is squeezing a cat to death.
IN CONTEXT of the people living at the time ... a grandmother ... a mother ... and her daughter .... were THREE generations.

This has historically ALWAYS been the case ... it is the case now, and always will be the case, all over the world, and in every ... EVERY ... culture.

When someone has incorrectly identified a 2017 Blue Corvette Convertible as an Elephant ... I know for an absolute FACT that is WRONG.
I may not be able to tell cars apart (although a Corvette may be an exception ...) but I can safely bet my life, and the lives of my children on the fact it is NOT an Elephant.
I no longer care WHAT the case is ... I can do absolutely NOTHING about it ... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it, no matter what the case really is.
If you want to search for that specific elusive truth... knock yourself out ! 
To me it does not matter ... I am in a state of perpetual preparedness for things I CAN do something about ... or try to be.
The footpads in your life will try to load you up with heavy bags of sand, and being tired and worn out carrying unnecessary loads because someone WANTS you to be anxious, and afraid ... and MAKES you anxious and afraid, is a game I leave to others.
As the War Computer W.O.P.R. once said, about 35 years ago, in the movie "War Games" ..

Quite true! In fact, I am sometimes reluctant to get into a car driven by the average very theocratic Pioneer.
But I would look for more than an aeronautical designer to explain John 3:16 to me.

Well, all three of my children turned out well, by any criteria you would want to use, and they are all three serving Jehovah, and Kingdom interests whole souled ... and when they were growing up they thought what I required of them was oppressive, and several times I got "WHAT! ... Don't we get a vote?".
I always replied the same thing (paraphrased): "This is NOT a democracy, this is a tyranny, and I am the tyrant ... when you get to be 18 years old you are on your own and can do whatever you want to do ... when you are paying all your own bills, including rent.". It must not have been too bad, because my oldest stayed at home for about  three years after he turned 18, and when my youngest turned 18, they ALL (including my ex-wife) moved out.
I had been out of work for almost a year, and was completely out of money, and very sick ... the "ATM machine" was dry.
I perhaps over-did it, but my concept of being a good Father was to first be a Father ... and if I had any energy left over ... be a friend.
Unfortunately, I was stretched to my limit, and was only able to be a Father.
Life is hard ... then you die.
It was a learning experience for the entire family.
The "Society" had NOTHING to do with my operational philosophy .... perhaps more to the point too many John Wayne Movies.

I don't know about you, but I LIKE flying Business Class .... it makes flying First Class like being in a cardboard box.
I only flew business class one time, from North Carolina to Norway, and the ticket was $9,450 ... and worth every cent!
What made it even BETTER is that ten thousand children and more had to sell their pet chickens, and do without ice cream cones to pay for it!
 Oh wait ....  that was for the GB's Business class ticket.
... never mind.

The scriptural admonition posted above is CRYSTAL CLEAR. I know for a fact that if my Father had not whipped me with belts and switches to cut the blood out of my legs (for which he openly wept ..) the day I turned 18 years old I would have been electrocuted in the Spring Street Prison in Richmond Virginia.
We are not in an era where strong people do the right things anymore ... even in the Truth we are governed by Snowflake inspired political correctness, participation awards, and instead of a love for mercy and righteousness ... all theocratic policy is now set by the Society's Lawyers and Accountants, and the rest is ignored or watered down.

At the televised Annual Meeting today at the Kingdom Hall the last four speakers were
1. GB member Samuel Herd
2. GB Member Stephen Lett
3. GB Member Geoffery Jackson, and
4. GB Member Anthony Morris III.
I THINK I heard Bo. Morris say that starting January 1st, 2018 ( among many other things...) each issue of the Watchtower would be on ONE subject ONLY, and that as a carpenter uses the same tools in his toolbox, over and over, that the Watchtower was only going to be ONE issue a YEAR.
Did I hear that correctly?

When someone is going to kill you and neither you or your friends have the ability to resist .... BECAUSE you have been convinced that being helpless is the best morality, the WRONG PEOPLE die.

If a roving band of thugs broke into the offices of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in rural New York State and started smashing things and wounding, perhaps killing them, and taking hostages  .... [ like a video I saw on YouTube of a roving band of thugs breaking into a Kingdom Hall with a meeting in progress and they took over the platform and the building ... ... which the thugs THEMSELVES video taped .. (and was later used as evidence against them) ].  I guarantee the first thing that would happen is that the Governing Body would call the New York State Troopers with their SWAT team and there .. in as little as a half hour ... the facility would be SWARMING with police armed with handguns, assault rifles, machine guns, smoke grenades, "flash-bangs" ... possibly a robot with a grenade on the end of its extended arm to poke a BG (bad guy) in the chest with, etc.
The WTB&TS has investments in "hive mind" robot drones that talk to each other to select targets after they are dropped en masse from an airplane over targets.
We have a mindset that we should be sheep suitable for shearing and being eaten ... but if we NEED some killing done, it's morally correct to sub-contract it to local police or the military.
This screwball morality was PERFECTLY illustrated in last weeks gunman massacre in Los Vegas.

In Las Vegas this week, a man stole a truck because the keys had been left in the ignition.
If he had been one of Jehovah's Witnesses he would have been charged by Congregational judicial committee with stealing a truck, and bringing reproach on the Congregation, the Corporation, and perhaps even Jehovah's Name, and would be guilty ... because he WAS guilty of stealing that truck ... and he was ALSO completely unrepentant, and  ...... could NEVER be repentant.
A mentally diseased thief, completely unrepentant .... an Apostate whose morality is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than that of the Governing Body ... disfellowshipped, thrown out and shunned.
The fact that he used that stolen truck to carry Las Vegas massacre wounded and dying to the hospital, over and over, under a rain of gunfire, would have been completely immaterial.

In my mind there is no difference. There is no transparency as to finances in the organisation except at congregation level. The very fact that a financial report is read out at a religious meeting assumes that by so doing those in attendance will be "motivated" to give. It is passing the plate covertly.
