  1. Of course I do. I am sure my comments support the scripture. If you’ll reflect on the title of this post, it gives hint that it is your leaders who utilize 1 Tim 6 to label those who question the organization’s teachings as “unruly men who cook up wicked reasonings, season their brew with poisonous lies that deceive minds”. This quote comes from one of your conventions: You have heard the saying, “when you point a finger, there are three fingers pointing back to you”. Jesus said it like this: “Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s eye.” Matt 7:5 JWs easily forget the false doctrines that the organization is built on, and which will eventually bring it to the ground. Matt 7:24-27 We have a choice today, one that involves our spiritual health. It is our obligation to heed the words of Christ and the apostles. If we notice any deviation from these teachings, the apostle Paul says: “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.” 2 Cor 13:5 If a JW is taught, admonished, expected to adhere to a new teaching that must replace an old teaching because your leaders were WRONG to begin with, who is the mentally diseased one? It is the one who expects you to follow their guidance even though they persist in wrong teachings. Would you keep buying a product from a retailer that has a track record of producing bad products? Of course not! How much more should we test, and REJECT the teachings of those who have been consistently WRONG? If you continue to spend your spiritual life in a haven of spent teachings scattered around you, what progress have you made toward developing genuine faith? If you continue to eat “fruit”/teaching that is rotten, you also, become mentally diseased. Matt 7:15-20 “If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions, 5 and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain. From such people withdraw yourself.” 1 Tim 6:3-5 False doctrine is deprivation of truth. Truth in Christ imparts life. John 14:6 They cannot reside together. 2 Cor 6:14 Jesus was considered mentally diseased also, for speaking against the teachings of the Pharisees. Mark 3:21; John 10:20; 8:48 Those of us who leave the organization to follow in Christ’s footsteps will find the same to be said about us. “A disciple is not above his teacher, or a slave above his master. It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house ‘Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household!” Matt 10:24,25 “ When we apostles told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we didn’t base our message on clever myths that we made up. Rather, we witnessed his majesty with our own eyes. 17 For example, we were eyewitnesses when he received honor and glory from God the Father and when the voice of our majestic God spoke these words to him: “This is my Son, whom I love and in whom I delight.” 18 We heard that voice speak to him from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 So we regard the words of the prophets as confirmed beyond all doubt. You’re doing well by paying attention to their words. Continue to pay attention as you would to a light that shines in a dark place as you wait for day to come and the morning star to rise in your hearts. 20 First, you must understand this: No prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. 21 No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God’s direction.” 2 Pet 1:16-21 Now, consider your long list of changed teachings, of failed Armageddon dates…”Beliefs Clarified”. Whose teachings do you really follow? Those sourced in the Spirit of God, or in human interpretation – clever, ungodly myths that have captivated and corroded any true faith one may have in God and Jesus Christ? Col 2:8 They are "clever" because JWs stay captivated to what will be produced as "new light" to come. They are "ungodly", because a lie is always, a lie. 2 Thess 2:9-12: "The man of sin will come with the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous and wonderful signs. But they will be lies. 10 He will use everything that God disapproves of to deceive those who are dying, those who refused to love the truth that would save them. 11 That’s why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. 12 Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned." I know I have said similar things in previous posts on this thread, with the hope something said will "click" in the mind of some JW.
  2. JW baptism requires making a dedicated vow to the organization. There is no opting out of the second question one must answer "yes" to. 2) “Do you understand that your baptism identifies you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with Jehovah’s organization?” No other baptism outside of the organization would be recognized as valid by JWs. Can one be called a “Christian”, a follower of Christ if not part of “Jehovah’s organization”? That is certainly a conundrum for JWs to face if someone at the door or cart says, "I'm a Christian." I know when I heard people say this at a door, I was totally convinced they were NOT really Christians, but part of "Babylon" - pagans. And here we are, seeing JWs dedicating themselves to an organization at the time of baptism; a blatant act of idolatry. Can one be a slave to two Masters? Matt 6:24 "These people have exchanged God’s truth for a lie. So they have become ungodly and serve what is created rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen! " Rom 1:25
  3. Did Jesus say we could use our material riches for him? This contradicts his words in Luke 18:22: When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt 6:19-21 There is no scripture that I know of, indicating where Jesus put any value on accumulating money or riches and providing these riches for him. Matt 21:12,13 Do you remember it was Satan who offered Jesus the kingdoms, their glory (and their riches) in the world? Do you think he has, in the last days, made a pact with Satan, that he’ll now take riches from JWs for himself to build his own kingdoms in the world? “Unrighteous riches” convey a different, spiritual meaning: “When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.” Acts 8:18-21 No one, can buy the gift of life with money or material riches, as the WT is telling you. Undoubtedly, the world will suffer in extraordinary ways that we haven’t experienced before. But, you are reading into a symbolic book, Revelation, an incorrect view the meaning of “buy and sell”. In three instances, the book uses the word “buy”. “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.” Rev 3:18,19 I know you don’t think Christ is offering us literal gold, and we do not buy this gold with literal money. This ‘treasure’ in gold refers to eternal life gained from the outpouring of his blood. We “buy” this, not with literal riches in the world (that Wt teaches as “unrighteous riches”) but through repentance, obedience, and faith in his sacrifice. We pay for it with our pure, clean, refined devotion to God. Mal 3:2-4; 1 Cor 3:13,14; John 17:17 We pay back Jesus by offering ourselves as obedient servants to his commands. John 15:10; 2 Cor 5:15 The symbolism of “buying” continues in Rev 13:17, where the “Beast”/false prophet of Rev 13:11,12 admonishes one to “buy” ITS spiritual “riches” produced by the organization that it directs. (The WT also refers to the Wild Beast of Rev 13:1 as an "organization") If one decided to reject this spiritual commodity, they are spiritually, symbolically “killed”. Rev 13:15 Now, isn’t this what the GB expects of all JWs, to “buy” whatever “food” comes from the “faithful and discreet slave” who “sell” it under the stipulation that no other spiritual commodities are acceptable? How does a JW pay for it? With their devotion, servitude and respect for the organization and its leaders. One must bear the “mark of the beast/organization” to take part in this spiritual transaction. There’s a lot of controlled buying and selling by all parties, in the org. 2 Cor 11:2-4
  4. I believe you hold the most optimistic broad view of the organization that you are able, in light of its tarnished image. Your viewpoint deviates from the normal belief of a JW, and especially of its leadership. Yes, there is a basic initial attraction to the message, which doesn’t cause spiritual damage. What does cause damage is what follows, when someone has been led to believe the organization is vital to serving God and Christ and that it always will serve up “truth”. Vital, because these new ones come to understand from its leaders, that there is no other way that God approves. It causes damage to families by separating them when one rejects the organization as salvation – which is just what you said you don’t believe. The ugliness cannot be erased away by a handful of teachings concerning war, hellfire, and the trinity. It would be disingenuous to oneself to believe worship within the organization is good and acceptable to God, when the organization’s sins are laid bare; perhaps aided by the people who possibly received the initial attractive message. You had made the comment earlier that you believed Christ transcends the organization. You are not the typical JW, who believes Christ ONLY guides the WT. This is an impressed teaching from the GB. It will be reinforced, and the majority of JWs will hold it as truth, even if in your heart, you don’t believe it. It is known as “God’s organization”, the whole package – sins and all. I agree, but WT's teachings discourage critical and independent thinking. This is what I know from Revelation. In the last days, an organization develops that touts to be spirit-directed, overcomes the saints/anointed and threatens to spiritually “kill” anyone who refuses to give credence, respect and awe to its existence. It is guided by a false prophet who appears to represent Christ. This leadership has transgressed their covenant in Christ, which is obvious by their unscriptural demand that their anointed “brothers” are not to bond together. (You will read about this again in the Jan, 2020 study magazine) It “tramples” down the priesthood of God using soften slander against them, expecting this priesthood to obey the men who not only represent them, but have charge over them. (Rev chapter 13) I know from scripture that this breaks God’s decrees. And, I am aware that this is how Satan attempt to destroy the the remaining ones of the “woman’s seed”. I am thoroughly convinced that the organization is a counterfeit. How can any type of preaching be acceptable to God when His special possession/dwelling/Temple/”organization” has been replaced by an earthly organization? This is what I wish JWs could perceive; God’s “invisible” organization are those priests who are presently trampled. Revelation and Daniel’s prophesy concerning the remnant is in full swing, and not having its fulfillment in the world. When reading Rev 18:4-8, God’s people are to “come out” of the “Harlot’s” grip. His “people” are His “special possession” already gathered in the WT, where they are held fast by captive philosophy, knowing that they may lose family for speaking against the tarnished image that claims to be the path to salvation. You may not believe this, but it is how an individual can earn the title, “apostate” - an individual who may have been delighted to learn about those basic truths. I wish so much you could see that Revelation concerns the deception that misleads God’s people. A gathering of believers – a “congregation” - is much different than an organization that must initiate guidelines set by men. When this happens, unrighteous judgment and oppression are bound to occur, which I’m sure you know. The operation of “organization” reflects all others in the world. Can one continue to believe they are no part of the world, while submitting to the traditional worldly procedures of “organization”? Think about it, in the organization, anointed are told they cannot gather together, by the men who represent them, since it would destroy the unity of "organization". Since being out of the WT, I can gather with whomever I choose, and study the Bible in depth, with no one to judge me but Christ. Rom 14:4 If God desires a good searching heart to know His Son and Truth, He will make sure it is accomplished…without the need of earthly organization. I have refrained from adding scriptures, since they are plentiful in all other comments and posts I have made.
  5. TTH - "Last I heard, your organization consisted of a page on Facebook." That is one of many sources where a person can find “good news”. If FB shut me down, I don’t suffer any loss. If the Watchtower is shut down; well, you saw Stephen Lett’s face when he stated Russia had seized WT’s material holdings, didn’t you? I don’t pay into facebook, unlike JW’s who pay into a “preaching work” that requires lawyers to fend off victims of child abuse, or to fight for their material holdings in Russia. Or, tell their lies in court concerning shunning. My “organization” is the anointed Body of Christ. https://www.theworldnewsmedia.org/forums/topic/85226-does-god-have-an-organization/ TTH - "Last I heard, God is pleased when we bring him our best, not when we abstain from what we otherwise could accomplish because it is too much work". Could you be speaking of cart witnessing as bringing God one's "best"? Oh my. As if pulling up a chair and saying nothing to people passing by is pleasing to God? How do you ignore the blatant disrespect the organization has toward the law of the land? Rom 13:1-7 How do you ignore every aspect the WT uses to gain assets in the world, besides free labor to build whatever they wish? This doesn't please God! James 5:1-6 This pleases the ruler of this world. Phil 3:17-19
  6. @TrueTomHarley - “They originate with the world; that is why they speak what originates with the world and the world listens to them.” (1 John 4:5) You certainly promote “organization” as necessary to “discipline” an individual spiritually. Or so it seems. Your organization is embroiled in lawsuits, investments, stocks, trade, real estate, as many other organization are. It can soar or fail, as any other organization can. How does this type of “organization” promote one to be “no part of the world”? Is it because men set their ground rules and have convinced you that by following them, you are no part of the world? It is a corporate entity at its core. At YOUR level, you see a facade of spiritual security. 1 Thess 5:3 Look deeper Tom, and you will perceive the glaring truth of worldly as well as spiritual, corruption that runs through the veins of the WT; which means, having any part of it, makes one part of the "world". The disciplinary rules are outlined in the Bible. If we are sincere about following Christ (and not men),we will have the ability to do so without an earthly organization. Jesus told us that this is the approved way of worship. John 4:10,13,21-24 It comes down to whom you will listen to - powerful (in seducing), persuasive men who have built their most awesome empire; or simply, Christ. 3 "However, I’m afraid that as the snake deceived Eve by its tricks, so your minds may somehow be lured away from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 When someone comes to you telling about another Jesus whom we didn’t tell you about, you’re willing to put up with it. When you receive a spirit that is different from the Spirit you received earlier, you’re also willing to put up with that. When someone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you already accepted, you’re willing to put up with that too." 2 Cor 11:3,4
  7. Yes, when the shoe fits. Do you really believe the GB listen to the anointed found all across the world? Do you really believe they read ANY letter from ANY of them? Do you think they have an open door policy, allowing other anointed to voice their opinion by appointment at Warwick? Yet, their “taking the lead” is continually compared to the apostles and Moses. They highlight both the apostles and Moses’ mistakes, to excuse their own mistakes. Of course, those taking the lead in the earthly part of God’s organization are not perfect—but neither was Moses. Even so, the pillar provided constant evidence of his divine appointment and of God’s approval. Note, too, that it was not for each Israelite to determine when to start moving. Instead, the people acted “at the order of Jehovah by means of Moses.” (Num. 9:23) Thus Moses, God’s channel of direction, likely gave the signal to move. Today, Jehovah’s steward class gives a clear signal whenever it is time to make a move. How does the steward do that? By means of articles in The Watchtower and Our Kingdom Ministry, new publications, and talks at assemblies and conventions. Instructions are also conveyed to the congregations through traveling overseers or through letters or training sessions attended by brothers having congregation responsibilities. W 11/4/15 pg 4,5 …"neither was Moses”. Uninspired men compare themselves to the prophet Moses, giving a “clear signal” when it is time to move, despite their mistakes, and comparing this signal to the pillar of fire that God provided to lead Israel. All of the sources of “instruction” mentioned, comes from their mouth, and not from God. It can’t come from God, because they are not inspired as Moses was, or the apostles. Is their signal given to all of you to “move”, really a clear one? To believe this is madness and foolishness. Your history shows clear evidence it is not possible. Your failed history shows how your leaders have strayed from truth. Does a person with gangrene or a disease happily live with it, or do they make the effort to stop its progress, even cutting off the infected limb, or removing a diseased organ to save their life? Apostates who are "mentally diseased" are numb to the effect the disease has on one's spiritual mind and body. They allow themselves to continue to "feed" on proven madness. To fight a spiritual disease that leads to death, a change of spiritual diet is vital. Matt 7:15-20 16 But shun profane and idle babblings,("empty chatter") for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Tim 2:16-19 Many have departed from WT's "empty chatter", failed and changed doctrine, knowing to stay would bring their spiritual downfall. They turn to Christ and yet your organization calls them, the "mentally diseased". I don't know who "corrected" me in the past, or if that person was an anointed one. But, the majority of JWs here, do make the effort to correct me on this forum. Perhaps you are going off on a tangent. But, it’s okay with me. 🙂
  8. Which response? I gave more than one. There goes another JW, comparing the GB to the apostles. They were inspired, the GB is not. The elders, except for a minuscule number, are not even anointed. It was Peter and the apostles who said, "We must obey God rather than men!" Acts 5:29 Our obedience is to truth. If an anointed leads in truth, then that one leads another to Christ. Since the GB have flunked leading people in truth, then who should we obey? We obey Christ's teachings. That way, we won't be found a fool. Matt 7:26 Outta Here did a fine job listing the variations of 2 Pet 2:16 "madness" "irrationality" "foolishness" "insane" As an example of madness, irrationality, and foolishness, please consider this: your GB has targeted the "King of the North" as Russia. This was in 2018. This should mean to JWs that Armageddon is nigh. Today, the wonderful announcement has been made that a media center the size of Warwick will be finished in about 5 years. On the cusp of a raging King of the North pouncing on JWs, business goes on as usual and the excitement is hardly containable. "We're ramping up production in response to heavy demand" of audio-visual offerings, Zick said. "People find these materials to be useful, so we're putting more resources behind them, and we're putting everything under one roof." Newsweek Sat, Nov 02, 2019 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ 21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:16-21 13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. James 4:13-16 Do YOU believe that THEY believe Armageddon is nigh?
  9. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling (“gathering together”) of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Heb 10:24,25 When you know people all over the globe, we do the best we can. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matt 18:20 I think we’ve got it covered. As anointed “priests”, and under one Head, Christ, do we need elders to teach us? If only the anointed in the organization would realize they are the ones who should be teaching the elders. Yet, this would never happen under a wicked slave’s rule. Matt 24:48-51 Mal 2:7 - "For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts." Heb 8:10 – “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Are you thinking this refers to the organization? Isaiah 2:2-3: “ In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple The Temple is comprised of…God and Christ…and the “144,000” priests, as the “dwelling place” of Spirit (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22) (Rev 21:22) will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. 3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob.(“Israel”) He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. If you remember that the “law” is written on the hearts of the Temple “living stones”/priests…and that they are to teach the people God’s law; then perhaps you can see how important the faithfulness and recognition of the priesthood is to God. It is much more important to Him than to the elders or to the GB who counsel them to remain separate, not to bond together. I will echo James’ word, “tyranny”, and I’ll add that tyranny has at its root, evil intentions. Satan’s evil intentions are to destroy the remaining members of the “woman’s seed” in the last days. ( Rev 12:17; 20:9,7,8; 16:14,16) This is why the organization cannot operate perfectly as it happened in instances within the nation of Israel. God’s teaching mouthpiece in the anointed priesthood is silenced. If anyone perceives this, they should leave the oppression and “trampling” of the saints; and turn directly to Christ. Matt 24:15,16; Luke 17:37; Rev 3:18; 18:4-8 Exod 19:5,6 - “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” 14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. Rev 7:9,13-15 God is preparing a repentant priesthood (Zech 1:3; Mal 3:7); cleansed and washed with the living water of Christ’s truth, to serve the needs of His children to come in the Kingdom. That, is Zion. (Zech 13:9; 4:7) Not a corrupt organization where God’s laws have been broken many times over. Not an organization built with the world’s riches, preserving its precious investments to the extent of robbing victims of justice. (2 Cor 6:14) Not an organization that defies God's decrees pertaining to His priesthood. (Eze 44:6-9; Num 3:10) What you believe in, is a counterfeit of the true Zion. I am amazed that JWs don’t see this. I am amazed that darkness has settled into your hearts so thickly, that the light of truth escapes your notice. Dear Arauna, a few years ago, we discussed the elder body rule vs. the anointed priesthood. You may not remember. You were not as, should I say, caustic, with your responses at that time. I wonder if it isn’t the physical pain of arthritis that causes you to be rather hard core today. I understand what pain and age can do to a person’s tolerance. I just ask you, to do research on the early priesthood. When it was time to build the tabernacle, Moses was told, “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” MOUNT ZION! Heb 8:5 It was a “copy and shadow” of what God was to establish through his Son. Today, the temple tabernacle is being built with God’s “special possession”. 1 Pet 2:5,9 There is no more earthly "temple" or earthly "organization". The Temple is built with called, chosen, and ultimately found faithful priests (Rev 17:14) - organized under Christ their Head, as his Bride. The anointed are the Body of Christ, not every JW. Christ has chosen his Bride. We do not do the choosing. 1 Cor 12:27,18,28; Eph 4:11,12; 1 Cor 10:16,17; Rev 14:4 I accept Christ as a glorified King of kings in Heaven, as the first of the "new creation", both human and spirit. John 3:6;1 Pet 1:23; 2 Cor 5:17; Rev 1:5; 19:16 In the last days, God's "saints" and companions are deceived. Matt 24:24,22; Rev 13:1,2, 4-12,14-17; 2 Thess 2:1-4;9-12 I'm taking the liberty to post this link, and thank you, Librarian. "The Rise of Zion" - http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/search?q=The+Rise+of+Zion
  10. How will this version of the "man of lawlessness" conquer/overcome the anointed ones? How will it "sit" in/ rule over the "saints"? Which servants of God are exposing this "man of lawlessness" that has invaded the Temple? The GB? Rev 11:1-3 You are believing in a counterfeit fulfillment. You are very knowledgeable of the politics and religions of the world, the physical conditions that Satan maneuvers using his authority to do so. Yet, your spiritual "eyes" fail to see that the Temple - the anointed "living stones" and "dwelling place" of God, has already been "trampled" by your organization's rule over them. 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22; Rev 11:1,2 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 2 Thess 2:3,4 Rev 13:5,7: "And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation." Reason on this: If the "man of lawlessness" has been exposed as present in the religions of the world, how are the anointed "saints" to be overcome by the potential unity of the Catholic religion with other "abrahamic" religions? Christ has already been removed as the Head of the anointed Body. The "saints" are ruled over and judged by the GB, and elders who "represent" them as priests. When any of the anointed refuse to acknowledge the "image" of the organization as "spirit-directed", they are spiritually "killed". Rev 13:14-18 You are being deceived. Rev 19:20; 20:7-10
  11. The GB may not claim to be “God”, but by the doctrine they have developed, they have bestowed on themselves and the elders, the power to act as God and Christ, by disfellowshipping any who reject their unsound doctrine which has little or no scriptural basis. The Bible definition of an apostate is not the one who rejects made up stories by men; but is the one who creates them, and expects other to follow without question. “For the time will come when people (JWs) will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear.” 1 Tim 4:3 If you want to hear that 1. an organization is your salvation Acts 4:11,12 2. that men who have failed in Bible predictions and doctrine from day one, are appointed by God. Deut 18:20-22 3. that Zion/Temple of God is the organization and not the Temple priesthood (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22; Rev 5:9,10) and so forth... then, who is the spiritually and mentally, unstable apostate according to scripture? 2 Pet 2:1-3
  12. I'll try to be more connective. Matthew9969 is stating that the GB is mentally diseased. I agree, and gave reason for it. His reason is because he feels they believe they are God. I believe their “god” is the organization, while calling on God at the same time. Matthew mentioned idolatry; and yes, they are idolaters. It is preached that the organization is necessary to bring one salvation. If you personally, truly believe no one is equal to or greater than God, than you would truly believe the organization is not a fundamental necessity to worship Him. Is the organization your refuge, or is God your refuge? “Still, as a people, “the chosen ones” and their loyal companions will physically survive the end of apostate Christendom by taking refuge in Jehovah and his mountainlike organization.” WT 11/1/15 p. 4,5; par 8 “To whom will you compare Me, or who is My equal?” asks the Holy One. Isa 40:25 These men - the GB - have the ability to twist their words over a given time, which is a sign of mental and spiritual corruption. They speak of God, but in their right hand they hold a lie. He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say, “Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?” Isa 44:20 Watchtower 1990 11/1 p. 26 Our Relative Subjection to the Superior Authorities "As Christians, we face up to similar challenges today. We cannot take part in any modern version of idolatry—be it worshipful gestures toward an image or symbol or the imputing of salvation to a person or an organization." COMPARE TO THIS QUOTE: Kingdom Ministry 11/1990 p. 1 Directing Bible Students to Jehovah’s Organization "Bible students need to get acquainted with the organization of the “one flock” Jesus spoke about at John 10:16. They must appreciate that identifying themselves with Jehovah’s organization is essential to their salvation. (Rev. 7:9, 10, 15) Therefore, we should start directing our Bible students to the organization as soon as a Bible study is established." BOTH MADE IN THE SAME MONTH OF THE SAME YEAR
  13. You are saying he has to understand the meaning of an apostate according to the Watchtower – “Deliberately spreading teachings contrary to Bible truth as taught by Jehovah’s Witnesses" Par 16, chapter 5 of Shepherd the Flock of God. This is where “doctrine” needs defining in 1 Tim 6:3-5 “ If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the [a] (“teachings”)doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 [b] (“constant friction”) useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and *destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.” Have the GB spread wrong teachings about Bible truth? Well, yes. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200277174 Those are just what they have deemed necessary to change. There are still outstanding doctrines that they won’t let go of. (1914, for one) *destitute – to defraud, rob, despoil Every wrong teaching by the GB over each year the organization has been in existence, has robbed its members of truth. Those who withdraw themselves from such spiritual corruption are called “apostates” based on doctrine as taught by Jehovah’s Witnesses. If they seek authentic truth from Christ, they are not the apostates. Rather, those who have held back “wholesome (‘sound, free from any mixture of error’) words” from their hearers, are men of corrupt minds, believing they can feign godliness for their own gain. And, men of corrupt minds, "know nothing". If they knew truth from Christ, would there be a need for the list in the link above? John 16:24 The GB has been successful at feigning godliness, while using a pointer to explain the new meaning of “this generation”. “Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them.” “…who create divisions and obstacles” – The obstacle is the false teaching, the division occurs when one rejects it and is labeled,“apostate”. 14. Interesting question. His lair appears to be one’s heart. “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Matt 23:34 Satan is a beast (Rev 12:7; Ps 74:12-14) who requires a lair - noun a wild animal's resting place, especially one that is well hidden. "the badgers carried the food back to their lair" The food that feeds an evil heart is a banquet of corruption. He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” Mark 7:20-23 Jesus' offer - “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." John 14:23 A home can indicate a place of thriving love, comfort, refreshment, rest, peace, joy...life. It welcomes others, hospitably. “On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.” John 7:37-39 Each heart produces the "fruitage" of the spirit that resides within it: "But the fruit of the Spirit (of God) is love, joy, peace forbearance, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Gal 5:22,25 ~~~~~~~~ "in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others." Eph 2:1-3
  15. JWs! WHY do you continually make the comparison of the GB to Moses, an inspired prophet who received messages directly from God? Moses spoke of the prophet to come, as God’s Son! It is HIS teachings that we are to adhere to: 17 “And the Lord said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.” Deut 18:17-19 If there were to be 7,8,12 men to lead God’s people in the remaining days as Moses did, where does Jesus Christ fit in? The organization has raised up another “Moses”; one who presents teachings that repeatedly fall short of pure truth. 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, (the organization) that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. Your “frail and imperfect men” sit in the seat of Moses. They have put themselves there, and are comfortable misleading all JWs to believe it. Now I clearly see a distinct connection of “false Messiahs” that deceive the “saints”/anointed and companions in the last days, as the organization’s GB. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (“elect” – “chosen by God” – Isa 43:10; 1 Pet 2:9) Matt 24:24 If they are to mislead God’s chosen people, they must also speak of Jesus and some truth, right? Paul warned that Jesus’ teachings would be twisted: 3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. “other than the Jesus we preached” – the apostles never compared themselves to Moses. They spoke continually of Christ and the Father. “a different gospel” – the WT has become your safety net, your salvation. Never did the apostles preach “organization” as one’s salvation. On the contrary, they taught: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 These "frail and imperfect men" do not have a "hope" they will be in heaven - they state they WILL be in heaven. Gerrit Losch: “To appreciate the extent of Jehovah’s and Jesus’ trust in the faithful slave reflect on what he has promised its members. He has promised them immortality and incorruption. Soon, JUST BEFORE ARMAGEDDON the remaining members of the slave will be taken to heaven.” Are these men truly false messiahs? Yes. They have already judged themselves as worthy to rule in heaven. From what I read in the scriptures, that judgement is left in the hands of the true Messiah. Matt 25:14-30
  16. I really am amazed at the Wt leader’s take on this. It’s as if Jesus Christ's atonement for our sins, means nothing. Heb 10:28,29 Our obedience to his teachings must means nothing. But what really must matter to Jesus (according to the GB), what really will seal the deal for receiving eternal life, is donating material riches toward “kingdom interests”; (meaning the organization), which will ‘assuredly’ secure our place in the Kingdom. Jesus, who always warned of the snare of riches, would not take on a new agenda and bless the GB OR JWs today, by writing one's name in the Book of Life for that one's pursuit or use of material riches. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not let all kinds of strange teachings lead you from the right way.” Heb 13:8,9a "A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have. 7 We didn’t bring anything into the world, and we can’t take anything out of it. 8 As long as we have food and clothes, we should be satisfied. 9 But people who want to get rich keep falling into temptation. They are trapped by many stupid and harmful desires which drown them in destruction and ruin. 10 Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people who have set their hearts on getting rich have wandered away from the Christian faith and have caused themselves a lot of grief. 11 But you, man of God, must avoid these things. Pursue what God approves of: a godly life, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. 1 Tim 6:6-11 Earthly treasures/riches/”things”/ are not listed.
  17. "...that slopbucket of maggot intestines" wow. intestines of a maggot - a slopbucket full. how do you come up with these things?
  18. People who hate, readily “kill” their own brother for rejecting their personal misguided teachings. This is what disfellowshipping is, a premeditated move by the GB. Rev 13:11,15 “Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.” 1 John 3:12 People who love, warn of the “killer” residing among those whom they love; since they have felt and seen the killer in action. Matt 7:15-20 “Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.” 1 John 3:15 Once those, who have been “killed” for rejecting the liar and his false teachings, turn to the living light of Christ, they are motivated to guide others to him; not to themselves, as the GB clearly has accomplished. Matt 24:48-51 “And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.” 1 John 3:23 “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.” 1 John 3:15 Again, God's servants during the last days are to preach to their own people - to "Israel". Matt 10:21-23; Rev 1:1-3; 11:1-3; 18:4-8 The only solution to receiving the "crown of life" is to turn to Christ and reject captivity to an idol; the servitude and love given to an organization. Rev 2:20; 9:20; 3:18; 2:10 Think of how many faithful ones there were, from the first century until the organization appeared, who followed only the Father and Christ. Matt 6:24; Rev 13:1,4-10, 16,17 So, how is it that those who choose to do the same today, are spiritually "killed"? Who, is the ultimate killer? Isa 33:1; Rev 13:1,2,15; 2 Thess 2:9-12
  19. Except for some time-consuming events, my husband and I have traveled across the heart of the state of Nevada, numerous times per year, for the last fifteen years. It can be a long, lonely jaunt, but with periods of peace. We know where to look for herds of sheep wandering freely without fences, taking their time in maneuvering to a fresh crop of grass on other side of the highway. We’ve witnessed rogue sheepdogs seemingly searching for their flock. We’ve got it down where the elk hang out, the pronghorn, as well as the long straight stretches that we wish would end sooner than they do. I know I’ve seen every sign along that highway; but their appearance doesn’t always register in the brain. During this last trip, one rather small sign took on a different meaning for me. Besides highway markers pointing to the major natural attractions, there are minor signs directing the way to areas such as Fish Creek, Robert’s Creek, Duckwater; and the one that caught my eye on this last journey, Blind Valley. What was someone’s reason for naming it such? Is it a valley hidden from the view of the highway? Was it a land purchase made sight unseen? Most likely, fish are found in Fish Creek, ducks are found at Duckwater. Robert might even be found at Robert’s Creek. Could it be that someone blind, lives in Blind Valley? How well the name “Blind Valley” designates a symbolic valley where multitudes within it are found to be spiritually blind - the Bible’s “valley of decision”. “Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, Lord! 12 “Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side. 13 Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow— so great is their wickedness!” 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:11-14 During this war of Armageddon, the “abundant” or “great number” found in this valley of decision, have chosen to remain spiritually blind to the truth presented before them. God’s final judgment that they face, involves their choice of teachings derived from anointed ones who speak truth or lies; lasting, good “fruit”, or rotten fruit from bad “trees”; spiritually equipped either with God’s Spirit or that of Satan’s, to battle against their opponent. (Matt 7:20; Eph 6:12-17; Rev 16:13,14;17:14; 19:11) The question is, why would someone desire to remain blind to God’s truth, resulting in permanent blindness? (Matt 13:14,15,16; 2 Cor 4:4; 1 Tim 4:1,2) How does one’s heart become a “weed” during this final harvest? (Matt 13:24-29) The following quote may help reveal why. It is taken from an interview with a JW last month, on the organization’s broadcasting channel. He states: “The ambitions that I had before, that may have been obtainable, became second place. Now it was to have a simple life, to walk with the organization and to raise my children in the truth”. Does this statement portray the general feeling of JWs? I think so, otherwise they would readily accept the choice to leave the organization and serve God without it, and without the repercussion of shunning. Yet, we know doing so, is not a simple decision to accept. (Dan 12:1; Matt 24:21; Rev 9:4-6) It has been made perfectly clear by its leaders, that without “moving ahead” with the organization, eternal life is not possible. (2 Cor 11:4; Col 2:8) So, undoubtedly, it is perceived that ‘walking with the organization’ and bearing its brand on one’s mind and heart, equates with walking with God in truth. (Isa 42:8; Jer 2:8; Deut 11:18; Rev 13:4,16) Doing so, keeps the decisions as a faithful member of the organization, “simple”, no matter what fallacies may be taught throughout the years. (Jer 18:15; 2:13) The weapon used by Satan in this war of truth against lies, is the organization; constructed with one purpose, to mislead and subsequently persecute the “remaining ones of the woman’s seed”. (Gen 3:15; Dan 11:10; 12:4; 8:15,17; Rev 1:1; 20:7-9) A hunter uses camouflage to disguise himself from the prey. A bird hunter also uses decoys to attract the prey into believing he is joining in with his fellow birds. How naive it is, to believe Satan would not also utilize a bait of truth and the tactic of disguise, using elements at his fingertips. This allows him to build a decoy on the grandest scale possible in his realm. (Amos 3:5; Ps 140:4,5; Prov 22:5; Rev 9:3,10) He has successfully created a delusion to sift each anointed heart as “wheat”, which our God of justice, allows to occur. (Amos 9:9; 2 Thess 2:10-12) His “ministers of light” call it, “the truth”. (2 Pet 2:2; Rev 13:5,6) “sift”: “shake in a sieve”/”inward agitation to try one's faith to the verge of overthrow” If we give in to “walking with the organization”, our faith in God has been overthrown – conquered. Let’s compare the JWs’s testimony with scripture. To God’s authentic anointed “witnesses”, He declares, I, I am YHVH, and there is no other Savior but Me. I ALONE declared, saved, and proclaimed— and not some foreign god among you. So you are My witnesses”— this is the Lord’s declaration— “and I am God.” Isa 43:11,12 Although he may speak of God, the man interviewed revealed what lies in the deep-seated intentions of his heart. (Matt 15:18,19; Luke 6:45) It is evident that it is idolatry toward an organization. He believes he cannot obtain eternal life without it. Isa 43:11,12 speaks of a “foreign god”, with a footnote that refers to “foreigners”. There are “foreigners/foreign gods among God’s true “witnesses”, His Temple priesthood. (Jer 2:11) They have secured the priesthood from whom it rightly belongs. (Isa 51:23; Mark 13:14; Rev 11:1,2) Their magnified presence signifies the very organization that JWs adhere to. (Exod 20:5; Rev 13:15) It is the elder body, the “Gentile” “man of lawlessness” that opposes “and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” (2 Thess 2:4; 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22) Left unchecked, Satan’s ruse would fully “devour Jacob”. (Jer 10:23-25) Only a remnant is prophesied to survive. (Isa 10:19; Amos 7:1,2; Rev 9:3,4; 3:18;7:13-15) The JW interviewed puts his faith in an organization built by spiritually unqualified men. (Num 18:7; 2 Chron 13:9; Ezek 44:7-9) He has allowed it to trap, rule over, and lead him into serving a “foreign god”. “But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block (“to place a trap”) in front of the Israelites: to eat meat sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.” Rev 2:14 This is an act of blasphemy against YHVH and His decrees concerning His Temple. (Dan 11:31; 1 Cor 3:16,17) If we are to envision this idolatry, it must be our heart’s desire to love God and His decrees, over those of men. (Exod 34:14; 2 Tim 4:3; Tit 1:9) As each prophet/"tree" bears "fruit"/teachings, and this war of words escalates; God foresaw that the ruling wicked would persecute the faithful, on the basis of false doctrines (Matt 24:49; Ezek 38:21; 1 John 3:12; Rev 13:15; 11:3,7; 16:13,14; 17:14; 19:11,14; 6:9,11; John 16:2; Matt 5:11,12; 23:37; Acts 7:52; Rev 11:8; Dan 7:21,23,25; Dan 8:12) The faithful retaliate with the sword of God's Word of Truth. (Dan 11:32,33; 2 Cor 10:4,5; 6:7; Heb 4:12; Eph 6:17; Rev 19:19,15,20; 11:5,3,4) As this battle between truth and lies occurs, the final harvest/judgment of "fruit"/teachings/words occurs (Matt 12:36,37,34,35; Prov 18:21; Matt 7:17) in the symbolic "valley of decision" (Heb 4:13; Rom 14:12; 2 Cor 5:10; Prov 16:4; Rev 22:12; Dan 7:22). Pearl Doxsey – “What is Armageddon?” Should anyone earnestly yearn to know Christ’s authentic truths, they would be granted that understanding. Those who choose to remain in darkness, close-minded to God’s decrees, are among the blind judged in the valley of decision. Hades when translated, means "not perceiving". It is the consignment of all those born under sin, and means to be under a blanket of spiritual darkness, ignorance, and confusion. Only those granted light, truth, and understanding, are figuratively rescued from the realm of Hades. When Jesus tells us that he has the keys to Hades/Abyss... this means that he has the power and authority to release whom he chooses, from spiritual darkness... and transfer them into his kingdom of light and life (Col 1:13; Luke 8:10) those who are repentant. Jesus also has the authority and power to lock up others... or to leave them there, in ignorance and spiritual darkness (Matt 13:10,11,13-16; Jude 1:13; John 12:35) those hard-hearted who are not repentant. Such ones remain under the authority and power of the Devil (2 Cor 4:4; John 3:18). When Rev 20:1 tells us that the chain of restraint that Jesus possesses is "great"; this points to the ability of Jesus, to prevent understanding and perception among the blind, but proud (John 9:41). When Jesus wraps that symbolic chain around the Devil, and then casts the Devil into the Abyss/Hades... this depicts for us, Satan's blind inability to mislead those whom Jesus rescues from darkness... because it is now Satan who is overcome by the blind confusion of his own realm. Jesus also shares his keys to release from the abyss (or bind in chains of ignorance) (Matt 16:19; 18:18), those whom his enlightened brothers judge as repentant (John 20:23) and worthy of the treasures of truth which they are empowered by Jesus, to impart (Matt 10:7,11-14; 7:6). Rev 20:1 Pearl Doxsey Idolatry among Israel happened continually. (2 Kings 17:9; Judges 10:13-16; Neh 9:26,28; Hos 1:1,2; Jer 2:28; Ps 78:35-37) Today’s spiritual “Israel” and companions in the organization have also blindly fallen into idolatry, by ‘walking with the organization’. It is a “god” possibly not previously known, before dedicating themselves at baptism and serving this god through their necessary, various activities laid out for them by a Harlot/false prophet. (Matt 24:11,12; Luke 21:8; 2 Thess 2:1-3; 2 Pet 2:1-3; Rev 13:11-14,16-18) “If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a *sign or wonder to you, 2 and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but he says, ‘Let us follow other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us worship them,’ 3 do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. 4 You must follow the Lord your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged *rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the Lord your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.” Deut 13:1-5 The organization appears as an apparent ‘simple’, wide open, welcoming door; yet, it if one chooses to remain blind to its true intention, it will lead to one’s downfall. (Luke 13:22-27; John 10:9,10 ) “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the *rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction. The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of *false miracles, signs, and wonders, 10 and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.” 2 Thess 2:3,9,10 “Mankind, He has told you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 WALKING WITH THE ORGANIZATION CANNOT EQUATE TO WALKING WITH GOD. “Take delight in the Lord, and HE will give you your heart’s desires”. 20. You really didn't answer my question. The scriptures you gave me speak of Paul. Now, you seem to be comparing the GB with an apostle. Sir, this is impossible. Paul was an inspired prophet who is part of the foundation of God’s Temple. 1 Cor 12:28; Eph 2:20-22; 1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17 The GB are “inspired” false prophets, and part of the foundation of an organization. Matt 16:18; 7:24-27; Rev 13:11-17 I believe it is the GB that need to get over themselves. I understand that they are now to be called "faithful and prudent". Someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is really an interesting turn, since scripture reveals even more clearly, who they are. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, and champions at mixing strong drink; 23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice for the innocent! (Matt 24:48-51) 24 Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust, because they have rejected the law of Yahweh of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Isa 5:20-24
  21. The WT publication continues: Jesus also says that those who are faithful in caring for and using whatever riches or material things they have will be faithful in caring for matters of greater importance. “Therefore,” Jesus points out, “if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with the unrighteous riches, who will entrust you with what is true [such as Kingdom interests]?”—Luke 16:11. Jesus is showing his disciples that much will be asked of them if they are to be received “into the everlasting dwelling places.” One cannot be a true servant of God and at the same time be a slave to unrighteous, material riches. If 8 million people are handing over material riches to one entity, who is it that is a slave to material riches? It is the people who operate the entity, and who convince the 8 million people, that a “true servant of God” will do so, since the entity states their eternal lives depend…on the entity. Although, the 8 million people have also become slaves to material riches, which are bound up in the entity that they believe will lead them to eternal life. This is idolatry. Exod 23:13; Jonah 2:8; Ps 16:4; Acts 17:29; Rom 1:25 “They lift it upon the shoulder and carry it; They set it in its place (in one’s mind and heart) and it stands there. It does not move from its place. Though one may cry to it, it cannot answer; It cannot deliver him from his distress. Isa 46:7 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30 A comment made a few years back... The meaning of unrighteous riches can be seen in 1 Cor 4:8 – “You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us—and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you!” This steward was cutting the debts owed to the Master, Jesus, using practical “earthly” wisdom to save his own soul, but he had no authority to do so. Each anointed in God’s house owe the Master a debt. Thus, the steward’s wisdom is centered not on the Kingdom, as a son of light, but on acquiring power and authority over all in God’s House, as a “son of this system of things”. If this steward was to ‘make friends’ by sharing authority with all in the house, he would later be judged by his fellow servants, as faithful. John 20:23 Jesus requires each servant of his house to give obedience to him only, not to one who thrives on “unrighteous riches”, who assumes the Master’s belongings are in his control. John 14:23,15; 8:51; 15:10; 1 John 2:5 It is true that when one exercises power and authority over others, material, worldly wealth come along with it. Ezek 16:14,15; Jer 2:20; Rev 2:21; 17:4; 18:3,7,12-14 But never did Jesus give the indication that material wealth could gain one advantage into the Kingdom. We know his entire message was to follow him, leaving behind anyone and anything, for his name’s sake. By doing so, he promised those would receive “a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life”. Matt 19:29 Matt 19:16-14; 18:16-24 Jesus’ parable of the steward in Luke 16:1-15 and the wicked slave in Matt 18:31-35 harmonize in giving a clear picture of the present day situation of undue authority over God’s house by the self-proposed “faithful and discreet slave”, assuming command through the use of tyrannical “unrighteous riches”.
  22. Jesus - The Way, the Truth, the Life Chapter 87 "Only Jehovah God and his Son can receive someone into the heavenly Kingdom or the Paradise on earth under that Kingdom. We should diligently cultivate friendship with them by using what material riches we have in supporting Kingdom interests. Our everlasting future will thus be assured when gold, silver, and other material riches fail or perish." This is saying we can buy, with material riches, a friendship with God and Christ. We can buy, with material riches, our way to eternal life. Do you believe this, JWs? No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Matt 6:24 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Matt 19:21-26 Jesus didn't say give to an organization that is highly developed and ready to expand to twice its present size. He said, give to the poor, to those in need. You've been duped into believing that donating to the organization will secure your "everlasting future". Does the Bible say anywhere that money is necessary to gain eternal life? Perhaps, money is necessary to feed the dreams of men and their expanding organization. Perhaps money is necessary to feed an idol that promises salvation. Rom 1:25; Rev 13:1,4,8 Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. Eccl 5:10 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. 1 Tim 6:17-19 Do not love the world nor the things in the world If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.” Luke 16:14 Can we secure a friendship with the Father and Christ with material riches - money - when it is said... For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Tim 6:10 To understand the parable of the "Wasteful Steward", go to - 4womaninthewilderness blogspot, Pearl Doxsey
  23. Do you have the ability to peer into my private worship given to God? Do you have the ability to know who I worship with? I didn't think so. What do you do besides slander opposers? Could you please provide scripture that proves he is rejecting my behavior?
