The Federal Reserve Board on March 15, 2020 announced that starting March 26, 2020, no U.S. depository bank will need to keep fractional reserves of any kind. We are talking 0% reserves. No matter how big their gambling losses in the derivative markets become (and they are rapidly piling up), they can stay in the banking business forever. U. S. Government will never shut them down. And if they should "temporarily" run short of a little cash to pay the light bill and their executive bonuses, they can confiscate all of the depositor's money with a "bail-in", no questions asked. Zero fractional reserves also allow all banks (big and small) to cr…

The law of supply and demand is an economic model used to determine the price of an asset in a market. This law of supply and demand will therefore lead to an economic equilibrium for the price of an asset as well as the volume of trade. An existing asset in limited quantity for which demand would be strong would necessarily see its price increase if we stick to this law. Indeed, strong demand from buyers would allow sellers to sell at a higher price. Pets cannot carry the coronavirus, experts have said, after authorities in Hong Kong quarantined a dog and pledged to isolate more. The Hong Kong quarantine is the first reported case anywhere in the world of a government restricting pets over the outbreak. The canine, a Pomeranian, has been placed in quarantine for 14 days as a precaution but has no "relevant symptoms", Hong Kong officials said. "Nasal and oral cavity samples tested weak positive for COVID-19," a government spokesman said without explaining why they tested the animal in the first place. He said it was unclear whether the dog had actually contracted the virus or tested positive for low…

So these were pictures of people collapsing were posted on social media in the past few days til yesterday (2/23) but no mention in the news. This makes sense because there is no freedom of press in South Korea and everything gets censored. (I know this first-hand because I worked in public radio for half a year in Seoul) The situation may be even worse than what is reported considering these photos are all in very recognizable spaces in Seoul, not Daegu. What's crazy is that I have personally walked by all of these areas shown on this pictures as have most people from Seoul. As of this moment only 31 people are confirmed to have SARS-COV-2 in Seoul. West Seoul …

When I was six years old I broke my leg I was running from my brother and his friends And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down I was younger then, take me back to when I Found my heart and broke it here Made friends and lost them through the years And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown But I can't wait to go home I'm on my way Driving at ninety down those country lanes Singing to "Tiny Dancer" And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes Running from the law through the backfie…

I thought this was pretty interesting, as I was unaware of how common pneumonia really is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidemiology_of_pneumonia#United_States Given that there are about 1.86M emergency room encounters with pneumonia per year, consider that everyday over 5000 patients show up with pneumonia in US ERs. Goes to show how difficult it must be to separate signal from noise when it comes to early detection of COVID19 cases in the absence of mass testing! Further, I was unaware of how deadly regular non-COVID19 pneumonia already is, with 5%-10% of all hospitalized patients dying: https://www.medicinenet.com/pneumonia_facts/article.htm
