I don't know why but that reminded me of an elder, by his late 40's he had 2 deceased wives. Six months after his second wife's passing he married an 18 year old girl.

I remember listening to one lecture and afterwards realized the professor could have said all that he said in less than five minutes. Instead it was an hour of painfully slow stupid meandering.

I agree, some professors get paid way to much to be bags of air.

Gotta say, makes me wonder about collective conscience since all jw's are willing to die and/or allow their children to die for a non biblical no blood transfusion doctrine.

Not every priest or prelate was a monster who wanted to rape the consciences of the faithful. The Catholic Church has a long history, some examples which were quite good and some no so much. Never mind getting things scripturally wrong at various points and for various issues.

Man you need to think outside of the jw box once in a while. Not all priest did horrible things, but since the RCC would not allow the general populace to read the bible, or become literate, some of them used that liberty to do unbiblical things, you need to do some research outside of the watchtower publications dude.

I'm sure you would've been able to do college if you weren't a jw, millions of people do it all the time. But it is interesting to see again the religion is being given the credit and not Jehovah.

Where would we be now if the Roman Catholic priest were still the only ones allowed to have bibles, after all they did use this tactic to commit horrible crimes against humanity.

At 51 years old, being born a jw and attending dozens of conventions and attending several different denomination over the past 30 years, I get what you are saying. Thus is why love the spiritual family I have now that is spread across different churches.

If something like this happened in the 70's, 80's and 90's, there would have been mass disfellowshipping's and disassociations.
