OLEWNIK – Leo S. “Tex” Age 87 of North Tonawanda, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Beloved husband of the late Diane R. (nee Kennedy) Olewnik; father of Mary Jane (Ed) Turner, Joseph (Mary) Olewnik, John (Denise) Olewnik, Melissa Miles, and Douglas Olewnik; brother of Theodore (Noreen) Olewnik; brother-in-law of Germaine Olewnik; also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 6, at 11 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7375 Nash Rd. in North Tonawanda. Mr. Casey Maziarz will officiate. Private burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

Tex was a US Army Veteran, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He had been employed by National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda, and then as Superintendent of White Chapel Memorial Park in Amherst, continuing to work there until only several years ago. Arrangements by JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tonawanda.
