Resurrection of the Anointed

"But reject empty speeches that violate what is holy, for they will lead to more and more ungodliness,  and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy·me·naeʹus and Phi·leʹtus are among them.  These men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are subverting the faith of some."

 

There were some in the first century that erroneously taught the resurrection of the anointed had already occurred. These men deviated from truth and subverted the faith of others.

 

Paul said, when talking of the anointed: "Look! I tell you a sacred secret: We will not all fall asleep in death, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we will be changed." 

 

He tells the order: During the time of the last trumpet (1) the dead anointed will be resurrected and (2) the other anointed will be changed.

 

These events are not separated by decades of years. They happen together, one right after the other.

 

When is the last trumpet? Revelation shows the trumpets are sounded during the great tribulation. The trumpets were NOT in 1914. 

 

The trumpets haven't happened yet. The anointed have not been resurrected yet. 

 

The bride all goes to heaven at the same time. The anointed do not go piecemeal. The marriage takes place when the bridegroom brings the bride home and the kingdom is complete. All of the bride, meaning all 144,000. Here is what the scriptures say:

 

"For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death;  because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.  Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord."

 

TOGETHER WITH THEM. When it is time for the marriage to take place, Jesus comes and wakes up the dead anointed by resurrecting them. Then the living anointed are changed, and ALL TOGETHER they go into the kingdom arrangement.

 

When Jesus was resurrected, many people on earth saw him for many days before he went to heaven. The resurrection of the anointed will be the same way. That is why people on earth will be in shock when this event takes place. It will not be a hidden, invisible action. There were witnesses when Jesus went up to heaven in the clouds. It will be the same when the anointed are changed.

 

Just as Hymenaeus and Alexander taught lies about the resurrection in the first century, so today. The governing body is teaching that the anointed resurrection already happened, and this is subverting the faith of some. The Bible is clear. The anointed are not resurrected until after Jesus becomes king. He didn't become king in 1914. When the anointed are resurrected, there will be witnesses on earth to the event, just like there were many witnesses when Jesus was resurrected. He was resurrected as a spirit creature, but he materialized a human body. The anointed resurrection will be the same way.

 

"If we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection."

Paul warned against those who do what the current governing body does, those who teach doctrine that is not in harmony with the Bible:

 

"...command certain ones not to teach different doctrine, nor to pay attention to false stories and to genealogies. Such things end up in nothing useful but merely give rise to speculations rather than providing anything from God in connection with faith.  Really, the objective of this instruction is love out of a clean heart and out of a good conscience and out of faith without hypocrisy.  By deviating from these things, some have been turned aside to meaningless talk.  They want to be teachers of law, but they do not understand either the things they are saying or the things they insist on so strongly."

 

The resurrection of the anointed hasn't happened yet. The Bible is clear. 

 

"Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy and empty deception according to human tradition, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ;  because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily."

 

The governing body teaches that the resurrection already occurred because it lends credence to their lies. The governing body wants to rule as kings now. But the anointed of old are not yet ruling as kings.

 

"Are you already satisfied? Are you already rich? Have you begun ruling as kings without us? I really wish that you had begun ruling as kings, so that we also might rule with you as kings."

 

Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour when the Kingdom is to come. Not even he knew the day and the hour. Therefore, why would the governing body say they know when the Kingdom began ruling and the day when the anointed were resurrected to rule as kings?

 

""Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience."

 

Jehovah is allowing the nations to attack Jehovah's Witnesses as an organizational institution because those taking the lead have left the true teachings of the Christ and incorporated human philosophies. The governing body insists there is a God-ordained clergy class, the "one channel", namely, "The Faithful and Discreet Slave" even though Jesus said "you are all brothers" and that the helper is teaching all the anointed to comprehend God's Word. The governing body twists Bible verses in order to support their God-dishonoring disfellowshipping doctrine, they treat their own brothers as if they are dead although they are living, brothers who were purchased with Christ's blood. The governing body teaches that many blood fractions are acceptable, even though the Bible clearly teaches that blood must be poured out - no fraction is acceptable for a loyal Christian. The governing body teaches Pharisaical traditions that make worship burdensome, counting time, counting placements, counting counting counting, attempting to measure spiritual things in a physical way, because they are physical men and not following the clear words of our Lord to worship with spirit and truth.

 

The sons of disobedience have been revealed. The lawless one sits in the position of a god right in God's organization. Their destruction will be sudden and complete. The righteous ones among God's people will be saved, those sighing and groaning over what is going on in the organization.   

 

Jehovah is a refuge for the righteous one. "Go into your interior rooms until the denunciation passes over." After Jehovah cleans His organization, then He will gather back all the little sheep. Take courage! Jehovah will never abandon His loyal ones!
