As is discussed almost every year, September has historically been the most disappointing month for the US stock market. So far, it looks like this September could also disappoint. The previous 94 Septembers have lost 0.7% on average. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4372728-will-see-september-effect-in-2020? The first couple days aren't boding well for this month.... although we've never before had a FED this willing to print Trillions and literally buy up ETF's either. Hmmmm.

"We expect the daily death rate in the United States, because of seasonality and declining vigilance of the public, to reach nearly 3000 a day in December," the institute, which bills itself as an independent research centre, said in an update of its periodic forecasts. https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-america/us-coronavirus-deaths-projected-to-more-than-double-to-410-000-by-year-s-end-20200905-p55smq.html The maximum number of new cases recorded in one day in the US was 78k. Yesterday we had 52k new cases. That's 2/3 of the record!

Some of the recent topics here have touched upon the political systems of communism and socialism. I found a good write-up on those topics here. Later we can discuss its source, accuracy, any critiques, etc.: ---------------------------------- Socialism: a social system advocating State ownership and control of the means of production that communists view as an intermediate stage between capitalism and communism; Communism: a social system advocating the absence of classes, the common ownership of the means of production and subsistence, and the equitable distribution of economic goods. GREEK mythology tells of a Greek deity named Cronus, during whose reign…

The Amazon founder's wealth rocketed to $105.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, after shares in the company soared on strong holiday sales. The record was previously held by Microsoft founder Bill Gates, whose net worth was briefly above $100 billion in 1999. (And he'd still top the chart if he hadn’t given so much of his wealth to charity.) But if you account for inflation, Bezos has competition; Augustus Caesar's fortune, for example, could be worth a cool $5 trillion. Either way, the Amazon chief is worth more than the GDP of 125 of the world’s 195 countries.

[Verse 1] And I'd give up forever to touch you Cause I know that you feel me somehow You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be And I don't want to go home right now And all I can taste is this moment And all I can breathe is your life 'Cause sooner or later, it's over I just don't want to miss you tonight [Chorus] And I don't want the world to see me 'Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am [Verse 2] And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming Or the moment of truth in your lies When everything feels like the movies Yeah, you bleed just to know you're ali…

https://www.businessinsider.nl/ing-negatieve-rente-sparen-250000/ This comes a mere months after having done this for 1M Together with inflation this will create big issues and big reactions from companies. All this because the ECB wants to stimulate the economy with negative interest rates. Where there is nothing to stimulate as everybody is thightning... Where will companies move there cash? The ECB wants them to invest. Bitcoin may be a safer option for some part even with the price fluctuations.

For the twenty countries currently most affected by COVID-19 worldwide, the bars in the chart below show the number of deaths either per 100 confirmed cases (observed case-fatality ratio) or per 100,000 population (this represents a country’s general population, with both confirmed cases and healthy people). Countries at the top of this figure have the most deaths proportionally to their COVID-19 cases or population, not necessarily the most deaths overall. https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality

Monopoly's first creator is almost impossible to know because it was informally played by many people with their own boards and rules, until a lady patented it under "The Landlord's Game". But later on Parker Bros claimed it as their own and began suing anyone else who had any resemblance to the game, which everyone knew wasn't true. There were a few people who stood against them, but many gave in to the lawsuits and quit. Ultimately, if I remember correctly, the courts ruled that The Landlord's Game was the original, but Parkers had become a powerhouse at that point and dominated the competition, becoming the sole owner of the game you know today. tldr: Monopoly bec…
