London (CNN)Scotland has become the first country to allow free and universal access to menstrual products, including tampons and pads, in public facilities, a landmark victory for the global movement against period poverty. The Scottish Parliament voted unanimously in favor of the Period Products bill on Tuesday, months after lawmakers had initially signaled their support. It means period products will be available to access in public buildings including schools and universities across Scotland. According to the new rules, it will be up to local authorities and education providers to ensure the products are available free of charge. Read more: https://edit…

On Thursday 20th November 2014, for the first time in 170 years, UK parliament has debated the creation of money. Few people know that 97% of our money supply is created not by the government (or the central bank), but by commercial banks in the form of loans.

William LeMessurier, one of the nation's most distinguished structural engineers, served as design and construction consultant on the innovative Citicorp headquarters tower, which was completed in 1977 in New York. The next year, after a college student studying the tower design had called him to point out a possible deficiency, LeMessurier discovered that the building was indeed structurally deficient. LeMessurier faced a complex and difficult problem of professional responsibility in which he had to alert a broad group of people to the structural deficiency and enlist their cooperation in repairing the deficiency before a hurricane brought the building down. His story w…

A college pizza delivery boy arrived at the house of Mr.Smith. He delivered the pizza to his trailer. After giving it to him, Mr. Smith asked: "What is the usual tip?" "Well," replied the youth, "this is my first trip here, but the other guys say if I get a quarter out of you, I'll be doing great." "Is that so?" snorted Mr. Smith. "Well, just to show them how wrong they are, here's five dollars." "Thanks," replied the youth, "I'll put this in my school fund." "What are you studying in school?" asked Larry. The lad smiled and said: "Applied psychology."

10 deceased so far. The ATI doctor on deck tried to save the patients, his PPE caught fire, now he has severe burns, his hands may need amputation. Also, a nurse has severe burns. One ATI ward no longer useful; and we are lacking those in these times. Horror story. https://apnews.com/article/romania-fires-coronavirus-pandemic-657f2b197e264ff68bac3e9756f23182

Rather than adopting a comprehensive lockdown approach, Gounder told CNBC that state officials should focus on implementing tighter restrictions in regions of the country where there’s a high risk for the virus to spread, such as restaurants, bars and gyms, and aim to keep their schools open for students. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/13/biden-advisor-dr-gounder-says-covid-advisory-panel-doesnt-support-full-us-lockdown.html Why kill the businesses and then allow the children to mass gather in schools? Chevy is advising Bolt owners to change the charge settings on their vehicle to enable either “Hilltop Reserve” (for 2017 and 2018 model year vehicles) or “Target Charge Level” (for 2019 model year vehicles) using their vehicle’s infotainment center. Changing these settings will temporarily limit the vehicle’s state of charge to 90 percent. Customers who can’t make these changes should avoid parking their car in their garage or carport until after they have visited their dealer, Chevy warns. https://my.chevrolet.com/how-to-support/safety/boltevrecall

“This is another insanely big story,” said Davis, referring to recent crypto adoption announcements by firms such as PayPal and Square. “It’s a big story for adoption, especially considering this is a Chinese state-owned bank that is officially accepting bitcoin in exchange for their bonds.” However, Davis questioned the fiscal wisdom of trading bitcoin for paper – many analysts believe bitcoin will be worth six figures in a year’s time. https://asiatimes.com/2020/11/worlds-second-biggest-bank-embraces-bitcoin/

Who says cops don't have a sense of humor? The following were taken off of actual police car videos around the country."Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch out after you wear them awhile.""Take your hands off the car, and I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document.""If you run, you'll only go to jail tired.""Can you run faster than 1,200 feet per second? In case you didn't know, that is the average speed of a 9 mm bullet fired from my gun.""So you don't know how fast you were going. I guess that means I can write anything I want on the ticket, huh?""Yes, Sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. O…
