https://youtu.be/Pb5oIIPO62g In this lecture-style presentation, John Cleese claims that creativity is not a special talent. People are either in an ‘open’ or ‘closed’ state of mind. The closed mode enables people to apply themselves to tasks with vigour and concentration; the open mode is more relaxed and conducive to creative thinking. Cleese talks about how leaders can induce an open mode in their team members and establish confidence in them to accept that there is a succession of learning steps on the road to total quality.

"What's important when you're in that hedge fund mode, is to not do anything remotely truthful. Because the truth is so against your view, that it's important to create a new view, to create a fiction." - Jim Cramer, hedge fund manager 2006 "Then you call the (Wall Street) Journal and get the bozo reporter in Research in Motion and you would feed that (rival) Palm's got a killer it's going to give away. These are all the things you must do on a day like today, and if you're not doing it, maybe you shouldn't be in the game." - Jim Cramer, hedge fund manager 2006 “It might cost me $15 million or $20 million to knock RIM down but it would be fabulous because it wou…

“You know what, if you won the lottery – Yes, I’m gonna say it: 5% in Bitcoin,” Cramer said Thursday night on his Mad Money program. His advice came with a few caveats: Don’t buy it all at once, don’t buy it on the weekend. “Crypto could be incredibly volatile,” he said on a day when BTC tanked 13%.

According to data fetched by CryptoQuant, a South Korea-based blockchain analytics firm, Bitcoin miners at Chinese mining firm F2pool started the massive sell-off that crashed the BTC/USD exchange rate by almost 20 percent in just less than 24 hours. CryptoQuant deduced the mining pool’s act as the main catalyst that slumped its price from $35,498 to $28,732 in just 24 hours. Meanwhile, New York-based cryptocurrency investment firm Grayscale Investments purchased more than $600 million worth of BTC this week, especially as the price was heading lower.

The government has also had to impose short term shutdowns of authorized Bitcoin farms to prevent further strain on their power grid. This follows a major move in January 2020, where the Iranian government began issuing cryptocurrency mining licenses to operators. https://thedailychain.com/reports-iranian-police-seize-45000-illegal-bitcoin-miners/ In Iran you don't get a hold of 45k asics without going through the gov. Money is simply a tool that humans use to move value across space and time. Fiat currencies were clearly designed to be spent. Wanting to save the fruits of your labor with a fiat currency is totally foolish. https://medium.com/in-bitcoin-we-trust/optimized-for-moving-value-across-space-and-time-bitcoin-fixes-the-flaws-of-gold-and-fiat-3a637ef66e51?sk=d942de190ffed45ba8f5d3dfd601c79a

Gary Gensler, who led the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during the Obama administration from 2009 to 2014, will be President-elect Joseph R. Biden's nominee to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission. Rohit Chopra, the former assistant director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has been chosen to run that agency. It is rather good news to have someone in this position who understands Bitcoin and how important it will be to the world of the future. It remains to be seen whether this will translate into favorable regulation.

Ex-Canadian PM Stephen Harper has said that Bitcoin could be used as a part of a basket of reserve alternatives to the US dollar. He added that central bank digital currencies, or CBDCs, were “inevitable” to some degree at one point, but it would still be subject to various monetary policies. He also expressed his concerns regarding central banks becoming “kind of a general banker” rather than just a financial monitor. https://thedailychain.com/ex-canadian-prime-ministers-says-bitcoin-could-be-a-reserve-currency/
