Never forget the NYT won a Pulitzer Prize for denying that the Holodomor existed. They refuse to give the prize back.

According to Patrick Wright,[32] Robert C. Tucker,[33] Eugene Lyons,[34] Mona Charen[35] and Thomas Woods[36] one of the first Western Holodomor deniers was Walter Duranty, the winner of the 1932 Pulitzer prize in journalism in the category of correspondence, for his dispatches on Soviet Union and the working out of the Five Year Plan.[37] While the famine was raging, he wrote in the pages of The New York Times that "any report of a famine in Russia is today an exaggeration or malignant propaganda", and that "there is no actual starvation or deaths from starvation, but there is widespread mortality from diseases due to malnutrition."[34]

Duranty was well aware of the famine. He said in private to Eugene Lyons and reported to the British Embassy that the population of Ukraine and Lower Volga had "decreased" by six to seven million.[38] However, in his reports, Duranty downplayed the impact of food shortages in Ukraine. As Duranty wrote in a dispatch from Moscow in March 1933, "Conditions are bad, but there is no famine... But—to put it brutally—you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs."[39]

Duranty also wrote denunciations of those who wrote about the famine, accusing them of being reactionaries and anti-Bolshevik propagandists. In August 1933, Cardinal Theodor Innitzer of Vienna called for relief efforts, stating that the Ukrainian famine was claiming lives "likely... numbered... by the millions" and driving those still alive to infanticide and cannibalism. The New York Times, 20 August 1933, reported Innitzer's charge and published an official Soviet denial: "in the Soviet Union we have neither cannibals nor cardinals". The next day, the Times added Duranty's own denial.

...

An international campaign for the retraction of Duranty's Pulitzer Prize was launched in 2003 by the Ukrainian Canadian Civil Liberties Association and its supporters. The newspaper, however, declined to relinquish it, arguing that Duranty received the prize for a series of reports about the Soviet Union, eleven of which were published in June 1931. In 1990, the Times admitted that his was "some of the worst reporting to appear in this newspaper."[43]

NYT had to rescind the statements that produced the Pulitzer for the BLM-adjacent 1619 Project, too. Effectively losing the value of the Pulitzer.

I know that this is controversial, but there is still no evidence that any "Holodomor" existed. Terrible, horrific famine existed, of course, although it was sometimes as bad before the "Bolsheviks." The goal of the anti-Pulitzer push is based on some "dark" politics. Grover Furr has traced the thoroughly dishonest methods of Ukraine propagandists in the entire process. The source of the "propaganda" problem seems to boil down to the fact that  there are many Ukrainian nationals who are still very proud to be actual Nazis (as opposed to just neo-Nazi fascists) and they have had a huge influence on the Ukrainian government. The push for a "cemented" narrative has driven many of these Nazis to promote propaganda campaigns that would try to turn Stalin's worst mistakes into an "evil" that will be seen as even more evil than Hitler's Holocaust. In fact, the very name "Holodomor" was chosen to create a kind of subliminal verbal parity with the word "Holocaust." (It's not ultimately just about famine, which was very real, but about imputing evil motives for that famine.) Those who request real evidence (not just manufactured by tweaking true famine horror stories) will be called "Holodomor deniers."

Thanks for posting "How CIA lies to you." I have several times been tempted to post it along with the entire Congressional hearings from the 1970's that go with it. Those same tactics have been successfully used again by "East Turkestan" to create a yet-unproven narrative of horrific Uyghur persecution by China, probably also created from a few horror stories.

When I was a boy I had a comedy pal that I would invent routines with. One was of the fictional baseball team, the Shiners, who were going to win the pennant this year. “Yeah, and if they don’t win it, they’ll steal it,” was the rejoinder.

It was a joke. It wasn’t supposed to find its counterpart in the real world, let alone that of journalism.

In the above video from reddit, the CIA guy interviewed after the exposure in the 1975 "Church Commission" should be watched to the end, as he shows how their method is always to plant a few true stories for every false one. You can plant them in a willing or "vulnerable" place and then easily leverage that initial false story from a small paper somewhere to be repeated in a larger newspaper where some journalist is on the CIA payroll -- and he says 700 well-known journalists were. Then when the story is printed in that bigger paper, backed up by the local paper reporting, it is picked up by the Associated Press and UPI and easily makes it to every paper in the country.

And the purpose? He says that even though they didn't know of a single atrocity in one country, they reported them anyway . . . "to create the illusion of communists eating babies for breakfast."

    • Let the bible speak for itself: Ezekiel 38:   ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah says: “On that day when my people Israel are dwelling in security, will you not know it?q 15  You will come from your place, from the remotest parts of the north,r you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly, a vast army.s 16  Like clouds covering the land, you will come against my people Israel. In the final part of the days I will bring you against my landt so that the nations may know me when I sanctify myself through you before their eyes, O Gog.”’u...... ‘Every man’s sword will be against his own brother.x 22  I will bring my judgment against him* with pestilencey and bloodshed; and I will rain down a torrential downpour and hailstonesz and firea and sulfurb on him and on his troops and on the many peoples with him.c 23  And I will certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.’ So Jehovah will be magnified as the true god.... when they attack the Israel of god  - read Gal 6:16. Anointed Christians are the new Israel of god. Hebrews 12:22 "But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem."  Jesus is the Anointed one (Messiah) who, during the 1000 years will rule over the earth to restore the original paradise (the original purpose of God).  He will be king and priest. This means that his ransom sacrifice will be applied to all those who are resurrected on earth (earthly part of Jehovah's universal government).  This will include "unrighteous" ones who never knew anything about Christ or Jehovah.   Acts 24:15 " And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrectionk of both the righteous and the unrighteous."l Read Revelation 20:1 -3  This shows that there will be nations on earth that will survive the great tribulation. verse 3: " And he hurled him into the abyssf and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while." After the final test when all humans (as perfect individuals like Adam) will be tested like Adam was, Jesus will hand over the Kingdom back to his father.  1 Cor 15: from 24 "  Next, the end, when he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.e 25  For he must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet.f 26  And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.g 27  For God “subjected all things under his feet.”h But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’i it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him.j 28  But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him,k that God may be all things to everyone." l
    • That’s what it all comes down to,,,thanks.
    • The complimentary edamame is cold and unflavored.    Overall a great atmosphere and a great roll
    • The theme highlighted in Revelation 19:6, along with verse 5, underscores the powerful message that "God Reigns." However, there's a distinct divergence in interpretation between Christendom and scripture; Christendom often interprets "Lord" as a reference to Christ, while the scriptures point to the Father. This distinction is further supported by identifying the benefactor of John's Vision in Psalms 97:1. NAS  Psalm 97:1 The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands be glad. (Ps. 97:1 NAS)
