Many fail to realize I try to be , what one enemy once called me (actually it was meant as an insult, but it is the nicest compliment I ever had ...) a "Champion" for Jehovah's Witnesses, and the 15% Core Truth that we have.
An Elder asked me recently if I could fully support "Jehovah's Organization".  I replied that I always have.
He asked me if there was anything I had against the Organization. I replied that I could do without Caleb and Sophia..
That seemed to satisfy him, and we went our separate ways.
I am so glad he did not ask about the 85% silly stuff.
Perhaps I should have kept what my Mother taught me when I was 3 to 6 years old .. "Never talk to strangers.".
I am a slow learner.

Before 1934, here in the United States, any child could buy ( ..it was legal ..) a water cooled, tripod mounted,  50 caliber machine gun and ammo, BY MAIL.
There were NO "school shootings".
Remember that before King David was King David ... he was a soldier in hand-to-hand combat with a sword. 
Back then, they did not take scalps to keep count of the enemies killed ... they cut off the ends of their penises.   David's idea of a present to his wife was a box of such war trophies.
Yet .... David ... was beloved by Jehovah God .... even covered with the blood and gore of his enemies.
... it all depends on what ideas you are USED to considering.
Most people need "to get out more".
 

I would imagine that these are young men (boys) in a military school ... and although these are in Russia, there are MANY military schools for young men (and young women) here in the United States. 
In times of insurrection and civil war, even the children fight.
I am from Virginia, and there are many military schools in Virginia, as I am sure there are in almost every State.
It all depends on what ideas you were exposed to as you were growing up, as to whether certain concepts are natural to you, or foreign to you. 
I spent many a summer swimming in muddy farm ponds ... but my wife  considers them to be a bacteria soup, and will not consider such a thing.  I think of them as "swimmin' holes", and at worst, free vaccinations.
When my oldest son was five years old, I taught him to shoot a .38 caliber pistol, and he could hit "center mass" at 15 yards.
When my youngest son was 19, I taught him how to take a handgun away from a person who had it aimed directly at a person's head, and he was horrified ... he thought having such a skill was a demonic art.
None of my children share my interests in such things, but none of them are scared of the IDEA of such things.
I have not seen the movie in somewhere around 40 years, but if memory serves, the movie "TAPS", will give you an overview of what it is like in the VERY common and international world of Military Schools.
In this world, the fact of the matter is ... sheep cannot survive without those who are sheep dogs, and are willing to put themselves in harms way and if necessary die ... to protect the sheep. 
It is what they do .. it is who they are.
You and I live and breathe, and avoid tyranny and slavery ... ONLY ... because there are kind and gentle men who are competent in defending you and I against all enemies.
... an incompetent defense ... IS NO DEFENSE AT ALL.

When I was 16, an 18 year old friend played parts his favorite Cheech and Chong album for me. I recall about three things from the album that were funny and not too embarrassing to tell. One of them was an imaginary conversation between two dogs walking down to the street when one of them has to do his duty. The other dog is impressed by the shape and symmetry of the production. The conversation includes: "Wow! Did I do that?" and the response "Yeah! You're a real Rembrandt!"
The fact that this is in Rotterdam seemed to trigger the fecetious memory.

Pyroclastic flow in this situation I believe to be about 5 miles long in that area, and such are incredible fast, going about 430 mph+ as it travels down, for anyone in the direct path of this flow virtually has no chance to react and or escape. The death toll may be higher because there is also a nearby village that is deemed unreachable, so we may not know until later on. It is very tragic.

A sinkhole at the White House has given "drain the swamp" a whole new meaning.
This week, part of the ground caved in on the White House's North Lawn, close to the briefing room and right outside a deputy press secretary's office. Journalists have noted that the sinkhole has grown larger by the day.
The National Park Service, which oversees the White House grounds, said it is monitoring the situation and plans to bring in experts to determine a remedy.
"Sinkholes, like this one, are common occurrences in the Washington area following heavy rain like the DC metro area has experienced in the last week," NPS spokeswoman Jenny Anzelmo-Sarles said in an email. "We do not believe it poses any risk to the White House or is representative of a larger problem."
All of this has, naturally, led to groundbreaking observations and jokes.
