Well if she is an EX-JW and is speaking from her personal experiences, then she once wasn't of 'mainstream Christianity'.
Everyone on this Earth will have critics, so why should she be any different. As for the hype about insight, even the CCJW / JW Org  pretended to have insight. (one example : the last part of the last day 'prophecy' in 1967 Watchtower).
( I cannot understand how anyone can ignore these false prophecies. People just don't seem to see that they were given as prophecy at the time they were spoken or written. )
    Hence I've mentioned balance.
She seems concerned with the CSA within the CCJW and any JW that is not concerned about it needs to rethink their heart condition. (It's no good comparing it to the outside world of which you are no part of. You need to compare it to God's righteous standards).

Someone mentioned this book to me and even recommended it. The person told me it was something that Jehovah's Witnesses must read. Just from a quick glance, I could already tell that is was 100% apostate material, not to mentioned the heavy content of false teachings and convoluted information. To spacey's credit, it is exaggerated from start to finish. She also says she's an Evangelist, however she has some colorful language in her book and horrendous remarks that is enough to make Jesus shed a tear. Lastly, at the very end, she is trying to promote as well as recruit Jehovah's Witnesses and or anyone who is reading her book. No disrespect to the woman, but she's lost her marbles lol 🤣

@Srecko Sostar  Great comment and your last sentence says a lot. JWs are on guard against the things outside, but are in more danger from those things inside.
One thing I do think is this. The CCJW has some 'basic truth' / 'basic doctrine' from scripture, but it is very misleading because it misuses scripture for its own advantage.
So thinking along the same lines, ex-JWs books also have some basic truth but may also be misleading in someway.
Its a question of balance. derek 1956 seems to only believe the CCJW. That's his option. I prefer to keep an open mind to all incoming thought and information.
But, remove the 'wolves' (and certain other people) then maybe God through Christ could use the CCJW.

@derek1956 WT JWorg and JW members can be subjective and label others as apostates. But they cannot deny the accuracy and seriousness of the title of the book, because Jesus meant "wolves" in his flock and not in someone else’s flock.
Since JW members are considered to be members of precisely that one flock of Jesus, it means that "wolves" are in the flock and not outside the flock. Those who left the community are not "wolves". "Wolves" are the ones who don’t want to get out of Congregation and have interest to maneuver moves of the flock. To do that, such individuals need to be in leadership position. To promote deceit and to have influence on doctrines.
The greatest danger comes from inside not outside.

Former Jehovah’s Witness Seeks to Expose the False Teachings of the Watchtower Organization

Author Refkije Royal offers prophetic words as well as research regarding Jehovah’s Witnesses in The Ravening Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: The Governing Body of the Watchtower Organization($13.49, paperback, 9781631291043; $6.99, e-book, 9781631291050).
Royal speaks from personal experience when she informs readers about the difficulties faced by followers of the Watchtower Organization, also known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She calls this a “man-made religion,” and a “cult,” and is concerned by the rate of suicide and child abuse within this group.
“The purpose of this book is for Jehovah’s Witnesses and ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses to find their way out of the Watchtower Organization,” said Royal.
No i haven't read it, so I cannot comment on it. Just thought it might be of interest to some folks.

Well the older the kid gets the harder to get that kid to be baptized.  No underage should get baptized as the price of changing their mind later is too high.

Since girls can now get married at age of nine or ten I guess these views will soon change.  Why am I making this statement?  Because society changes and the age of a man (when he is viewed as mature enough for highly important decisions by free will) ) or when a woman  is viewed as mature is constantly changing. ....  our current circumstances are in the process of changing.

Which reminds me of JW 'parties' here in the UK. I know of such parties where Elders dress up in costumes.
One such Elder who's name is Andy, dresses up as Andy Pandy. Others dress us as the Incredible Hulk, Batman etc.
No part of the world of course   I do wonder what Jesus thinks as he looks down on them.

Yes how wonderful JW's are when a D'fed person walks into the KH. Everyone stares at the D'fed.  'Oh look a D'fed, lets not talk to them, not encourage them to be here, but just look down on them'.
Wow, and Jesus said Love was most important.  When Jesus was on the cross/stake, he said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"... But JW's are not even allowed to talk to a D'fed person, not even in the KH.
BUT, when it's announced from the platform that the Elders have reinstated the D'fed, then wow, magic, the barrier is lifted, JW's can go and hug the D'fed.  Hypocrisy and rules of men at it's greatest.

Persecuted Jesus to the point of death. And, some would say, the GB persecute the Anointed by saying that the rest of the Anointed are not the F&DS  and by telling them not to contact each other, even though they are ONE BODY with Christ as head..

It's quite funny in KH's Watchtower studies. People answer like puppets. No one is allowed to ask any questions, just answer from the paragraph. And even funnier when parents tell answers to young children. It's so obvious that the children don't know what they are talking about, but parents try to make the kids look knowledgeable..
You think the GB would dare to let real people ask questions ?  I think not. It would all be pre-planned script.

God hears prayers of all those righteously disposed.

(Acts 10:30-33) Then Cornelius said: “Four days ago counting from this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour; just then a man in bright clothing stood in front of me 31 and said: ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been favorably heard, and your gifts of mercy have been remembered before God. 32 Therefore, send to Jopʹpa and call for Simon who is called Peter. This man is a guest in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.’ 33 I then sent for you at once, and you were kind enough to come here. So now we are all present before God to hear all the things you have been commanded by Jehovah to say.”

(1 John 3:19-22) By this we will know that we originate with the truth, and we will assure our hearts before him 20 regarding whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things. 21 Beloved ones, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have freeness of speech toward God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we are observing his commandments and doing what is pleasing in his eyes.

(Psalm 65:2) 2 O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come.

derek1956 reacted to The Librarian in PRAY - EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!
A little shepherd boy was watching his sheep one Sunday morning. As he heard the bells ringing the faithful to church, he watched the people walking along the lane next to the pasture. He began to think that he, too, would like to communicate with God. "But what can I say?" he thought. He had never learned a prayer.

So on bended knee, he began to recite the alphabet - A, B, C, D, and so on to Z, repeating his "prayer" several times.

A man passing by heard the boy's voice, and stopping to look through the bushes, saw the child kneeling with folded hands and closed eyes, saying, "J, K, L, M, ..."

He interrupted the boy, asking, "What are you doing, my little friend?" The boy replied, "I was praying, sir."

Surprised, the man said, "But why are you reciting the alphabet?"

The child explained, "I don't know any prayers, sir. But I want God to take care of me and help me to care for the sheep. So, I thought if I said all I knew, He could put the letters together and spell all that I want to say and should say."

The man smiled and said, "Bless your heart. You're right - God will!"

Remember that Jesus told us to have faith like a child. When you go to God in prayer, don't worry if you don't know what to say. He can put your thoughts and feelings together and send you the answer you need, even when you don't know what you need.

Ps 119:30 – “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”
    Dear JWs,
Can an idol hear the words of God?  Idolatry is sourced in the spirit of the world, where Satan wields his authority. 1 John 5:19  An idol cannot speak the words of God, aiding others to reach the light of understanding and truth.   John 17:17
An idol has no compassion toward those in need, extending its hand to comfort the afflicted and those suffering in sorrow; fully able to sense their needs.   It cannot comprehend the examples of love and compassion we have in Christ.  Matt 11:28-30
If an idol is unable to hear and speak the Word of God in Christ, then surely we know it can never walk in the path of Christ, or shine the light of truth when under the power of the wicked one.    1 Sam 12:21; Ps 119:1-5
Can an earthly fabrication, run by men, EVER bring salvation to ANYONE who joins it?  And what if it does purport to be the way to salvation; can those who represent it, hear, speak, and walk in the Word of God and the path of Christ?  No.  It would be an act of rebellion to assign salvation to anything other than the name that scripture declares as our salvation. Its leaders would be false teachers, appearing as “ministers of light”, “holding to a form of godliness, although having denied its power”.   Ps 18:2; Acts 4:12; 2 Cor 11:13-15; 2 Tim 3:5
Yes, idolatry IS an act of rebellion against God.  Ezek 20:8;Ps 78:58
How do you feel about the following proclamation by your leaders, JWs?
Watchtower 1981/11/15:  “come to Jehovah’s ORGANIZATION for SALVATION”   pg 16-21 par 18
“There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths.” Job 24:13
If we take another fork in the Watchtower’s twisted road to “salvation”, what do your leaders say?
Watchtower 90/11/1 p. 26 – “We cannot take part in any modern version of idolatry – be it worshipful gestures toward an IMAGE OR SYMBOL or the imputing of SALVATION to a PERSON or an ORGANIZATION.
Please, think about this the next time you view an exJW as an “apostate”.  Do you know that the most threatening “apostates” to the organization are those who have turned fully to God and Christ?  Why?  They do not hide their “lamp” under a basket, but speak the Word of God boldly for all of you to hear.  The Word of God is truth, which exposes the Watchtower’s idolatrous identity.  Luke 11:33; Rev 11:1-3; 13:1,5,11,14-17
There is no need to return to “Jehovah’s organization”, since it is, according to the above Watchtower quote, an IDOL.  Those who desire to walk in the light of Christ, seek out the pure words of God, untainted by men, their decrees and twisted reasoning.  They have come to know that the Father does not stand on equal ground with an organization, but He alone is our Rock and our fortress.  Isa 46:5; 42:8; 2:7-10
They have found the true God. They have returned to pure worship. Isa 57:13; Ps 24:3,4
Watchtower 1953/3/1 p. 143:  “Ask yourself now, Did Christ Jesus, who set our example and told us to follow his example to gain life, join any church ORGANIZATION in his day?  No.  GOD DOES NOT REQUIRE US TO DO THAT; but he requires us to worship him…  We have the Bible to show us the right way.  CERTAINLY IT IS NOT NECESSARY FOR A PERSON TO BECOME A MEMBER OF A CHURCH TO GAIN EVERLASTING LIFE.”
Who then, is the apostate?  One who stays clear of worldly organizations and worships in “spirit and truth”, or is it you, and your leaders who have rebelled against God by glorifying “Jehovah’s organization”?    Please, reject the Watchtower Idol, JWs.  As with all idols, this one is destined to topple soon.  John 4:23,24

    Psalm 115:
Not to us, YHVH, not to us,
but to Your name give glory
because of Your faithful love, because of Your truth.
