"They are in darkness mentally and alienated from the life that belongs to God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the insensitivity of their hearts.  Having gone past all moral sense, they gave themselves over to brazen conduct to practice every sort of uncleanness with greediness."

 

What are some examples of works of darkness?

 

"Now the works of the flesh are plainly seen, and they are sexual immorality, uncleanness, brazen conduct, idolatry, spiritism, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, dissensions, divisions, sects,  envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and things like these. I am forewarning you about these things, the same way I already warned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom."

 

These works of darkness are prevalent in the modern-day congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, just as foretold in the Bible.

 

"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

 

Paul was describing what would be going on in the congregations in the last days. The time is here. The congregations are full of bad fruitage because of the weeds planted by the Devil. Jesus said the weeds and the wheat would grow together until the time of the harvest. It is time. Jesus is making these things manifest.

 

"Now in the way that Janʹnes and Jamʹbres opposed Moses, so these also go on opposing the truth. Such men are completely corrupted in mind, disapproved as regards the faith. Nevertheless, they will make no further progress, for their folly will be very plain to all, as it was with those two men."

 

Jehovah is giving Jesus the Kingdom. Jesus is going to clean out the congregation. It's time.
