In the spirit world, Satan uses this tactic by influencing selected agents to go “undercover”.  They are deceived into believing his lies; falling into his personal workforce; yet having the appearance they are serving God.  Through Satan’s various schemes, a veil begins to shroud the heart, not allowing the error of their ways to be noticed.  Why does this happen? 

“each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.  Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”  James 18:14,15

They become his slaves to accomplish his covert, end-of-time strategy – to hunt down and destroy the anointed ones who are the remaining ones of the “woman’s seed”.  Ps 10:2-4; Jer 5:26; Gal 3:16;29,26; Rev 12:4,15-17.  He shares his power with his “undercover” servants, fully coercing them to execute his plan. Rev 13:11-14,1,2  In the Watchtower, he begins with anointed ones that scripture refers to as “stars”, who have fallen from God’s grace. To have the "key" to the Abyss, is to acquire the power and authority of the "kingdom of this world" (1John5:19) by those who "mind the flesh" (Rom.8:5-8).   

The fallen star of Rev.9:1, is "Wormwood" (Rev.8:11), who is present today as the last harlot daughter of Babylon the Great [Zech.2:7; Isa.1:21;Jer.2:20; 51:12,13; Rev.18:4; 17:1,5 ..the false prophet (Rev.16:13)...and the two-horned wild beast ofRev.13:11. These are all symbolic parables about the same identity." 

As Wormwood, this agent of Satan releases a great, devastating army from the abyss; having as their primary target, the holy ones. Rev 9:1-4  Effectively a “slave society” is formed. Perhaps many of you may see the Watchtower in its definition, with its ruling governing body and body of elders, wielding a perceived divine authority over the millions of JW individuals:

 “A society where the fundamental class conflict is based on the division of people into MASTERS AND SLAVES, with slaves being the dominant producing class, and ownership over this complete commodification of the human being controlled by MASTERS.”

commodification: the action or process of treating something, or someone as a mere commodity – propert owned. 

“See to it that no one ENSLAVES you through philosophy and empty deceit according to human tradition, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to the Messiah”  Col 2:8

Slaves are owned, JWs, and YOU are owned through your dedication to the Watchtower idol. God does not live in temples, organizations, or earthly churches made with hands. 1 Cor 6:20 refers to the anointed ones who are the Temple of God, and who must remain spiritual “virgins”, promised to one Master.  Acts 17:24;7:49; John 4:21,23,24; 1 Cor 6:15-19; 2 Cor 11:2 They are owned only by God and Christ, not an earthly, corporate entity.

The book of Ephesians addresses the holy ones of God – his chosen anointed people of spiritual “Israel”, and the Temple/ Body of Christ who are his Bride. Please note what the Watchtower says about “holy ones” who are the anointed saints of God:

“God’s Word shows that A PERSON IS NOT MADE A SAINT BY MEN OR BY AN ORGANIZATION.  The Scriptures state: “[God] saved us and called us with a holy calling, not by reason of OUR works, but by reason of his own purpose and undeserved kindness.” (2 Timothy 1:9)

Speaking of God’s Kingdom to come, the article states:

It should be established in your mind that the anointed are the holy ones, holy priesthood, and called ones of God.

While working “undercover” for Satan, GB member and false prophet/Harlot, Stephen Lett, utilizes the “empty deceit” maneuver in the August 2018 broadcast:

“The theme for this month’s program is “appreciating our gifts in men.  Who of us does not enjoy being given a fine, well chosen gift?  For example, you brothers; do you not take pleasure in receiving a colorful, but tasteful, 100 percent silk tie?  Or you sisters, do you not delight in being given an exquisite, charming silk scarf?  But, what if you took that silk tie, or silk scarf and used it to polish your shoes?  How do you think the giver of your gift would feel if he saw you using his gift in that way.  Obviously, it would be misuse and disrespect for the gift and would insult the giver.   What is the point of our illustration?   Well, Jehovah and Jesus have given us a fine well-chosen gift IN THE FORM OF THE ELDERS.  But as we will discuss, all of us must make sure that we always show appreciation and respect for this DIVINE PROVISION." 

Lett deftly avoids explaining, with scriptures, the “divine provision” authorizing the elder body’s right to authority, who are men who have been appointed by men.    By far, the vast majority of them are anointed.  He then uses, Eph 4:8; which we must remember is a book that addresses the anointed ones. 

 For it says:

When he ascended on high,
he took the captives captive;
he gave gifts to people.

Paul is speaking of the various gifts received by those within the anointed Body. 

Eph 4:11,12 – “And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, ¹² equipping the SAINTS (holy ones) for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ”

There is no “divine provision” made for another group not anointed by God to shepherd His flock, and based solely on men (Gal 3:28).  Can you see how God’s provision already in place, has been outmaneuvered and replaced by a counterfeit? It begs the question; why would Watchtower’s anointed leaders push another “body” other than God’s already established arrangement in Christ?

When encouraging JWs to be submissive to the elders; to pray for them, and to follow their direction no matter how illogical it sounds, (the paintbrush analogy comes to mind) GB member, Lett, later quotes Prov 3:27:

“When it is in your power, don’t withhold good from the one to whom it belongs.”

JWs, isn’t this exactly the situation with the authentic holy ones, since you are taught deceitfully to ignore this priestly provision from God?  The anointed in the Watchtower aptly fit Lett’s silk tie or scarf being used to polish shoes; only, it is far worse.  They are trampled by a great army of locust-scorpions released from Satan’s deep abyss of deception, by Wormwood; and the very army that Stephen Lett is coercing you through “philosophy and empty deceit”, to obey.  This army is the ‘man of lawlessness sitting/ruling in the Temple of God’.  2 Thess 2:3,4   https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Thess+2%3A3%2C4&version=NKJV

I’ll try. 

#1 - Since the book of Ephesians addresses the anointed ones, the “gifts in men”  of Eph 4:8 does not refer to the elders, but to the anointed “Temple of God” who are being “trampled”/broken down/brought to nothing by the elders who rule over them. Matt 24:15; 2 Thess 2:3,4; Rev 11:1-3  Makes you wonder why S. Lett doesn’t recognize this since he is anointed. It’s because he and the rest of the GB (Matt 24:48-51) care only for what they love, the organization - their Beast of Rev 13:1  Watchtower calls the Wild Beast of Revelation, Satan’s organization.  Very true. 

#2 - The GB are fallen stars (anointed), Revelation’s “Wormwood” and a “bitter root” (Heb 12:15); poisoning waters of “truth” with lies, (Rev 8:10,11; 17:1) and given demonic power to release (formulate) this army (elders) from the “abyss” – the symbolic pit of darkness, deception and lies. (l o n g sentence)  This is a gradual development over the years, (Rev 16:13,14) which JWs would probably notice if they looked hard enough.  The anointed role has been downplayed, while the highlighting of the unanointed elder body has led to their receiving the authority by the GB, to basically make the anointed obey them. Dan 12:7 

#3  - Joel 1,2 and Rev 9 describe the locust army that God “allows” Satan to enact against God’s chosen people. 2 Thess 2:9-12; Luke 22:31 This army is the active core or heart of the Wild Beast of Rev 13:1.   For those who break free of the lies and “captivity”/slavery (Rev 13:10) to a false prophet/Harlot/Wormwood (same identity) and its stinging “army”, God’s promises to hold out to them, what is said in Joel 2:25-27.   They must remain close to Him and Christ, obeying his teachings. John 14:15  This is why the Great Tribulation is “different”; it is a more deceptive threat that comes upon the last chosen people of God during the time of the end. Joel 2:2; Dan 12:1; Dan 7:19; Matt 24:21   The Watchtower teaches that the locusts of Revelation are the anointed ones, bringing a “stinging” message to the people.  If this was true, why would God make the promises He did in Joel 2:20,25?
