Gary Elwin Yarnell, 77, of Evans passed away at his home Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, surrounded by his family.

Gary was born to Wilbur Eugene and Isabelle Nadine (Ives) Yarnell on April 15, 1938, in Alliance, Neb. He graduated high school in 1956. Gary served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and then went on to work for Hewlett Packard, retiring after 25 years. He attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and enjoyed woodworking. He married Karen J. Celaya April 21, 2007, in Greeley.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Yarnell, as well as five sons, four daughters, a sister and nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Isabelle Yarnell, and his first wife, Ruth Yarnell.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3408 34th St. Road in Greeley.
