The book "Pay attention to the prophecies of Daniel" told us not to speculate on this. Any suggestions made publicly could well have others spreading ideas. Our society as a group are keeping watch on world affairs and will advise us - if necessary. Daniel was told that the king of the North would come to his end - with no helper.

That is, after he subjugates the king of the south. The "pay attention to Daniel's prophecy" book completely misses the mark as to who the king of the north was in the past as well, using some obscure events to explain it. Why do you think that book is pulled out of circulation? Robert King, IMO, has done a way better job in explaining it in his book.

Thank you for the link. It's lengthy, and copied, and will be read later. Yes, it was removed from the books listed in the Watchtower Library, but I cannot recall any publication announcing this.

yes i understand you, but i asked that because this is a question that everyone is asking about.  but according to what we know now, the king of the north will be known for sure only until after the destruction of false religion as recorded in daniel.

It is intellectual dishonesty to speculate to average people, many who do not know what the word speculate even means, and not make it crystal clear you are ONLY guessing. If you know they are simple, innocent people, and they have faith in you, and you do not make it crystal clear YOU ARE GUESSING ... THE INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY IS MORALLY REPUGNANT.

My best guess for the King of the North is Barack Obama, for no other reason that I don't like him, and LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE ON THIS PLANET ... I do not have the slightest clue who the King of the North Is.

It might even be Mukluk, the Eskimo Tsunami Surfer !

He had cards printed up "Mukluk - King of the North ".

It will not help anyone to know the identity of the 'King of the North. but, we do that he will come to his end with no helper, which is good enough for us.

The identity of, and the coming of the two kings from the rising of the sun are already known and this will be a far better advent in the lives of their followers.
