Is homosexuality a reason to get a brother permission to have a scriptural divorce and remarry?

Taking Jesus’ words for what they mean, therefore, when a mate is guilty of such serious sexual immorality the innocent mate may Scripturally divorce such a one, if he or she so desires. One who obtains a divorce on such Scriptural grounds is also Scripturally free to remarry, not thereby being subject to a charge of adultery.

This clearly marks a correction in the view expressed on previous occasions in the columns of this magazine, but faithful adherence to what the Scriptures actually say requires it. There is much more that can be considered on the matter and for that reason it will be discussed more completely in a coming issue of this magazine.

Not sure how "he brought some brothers" to serve as witnesses to this incident. Matt 5:32 However, as you probably know, porneia is not dependent on the sex of the persons involved. So, a pr

I purposely went to the article of the same year, so you would see that the one the brother was referred to made no sense.  Further research was sorely needed at the time.

We have to dig and dig until we finally get the mind of Christ.  We had several articles that showed that porneia covers a number of serious sexual sins.   The elders should keep up to date and help others with current understanding.  In any case porneia covers extra-marital sex, homosexuality and bestiality.

Kind regards. Agape
