Donald “Don” Hubert Dudley, 79, of Nixa, died Sept. 16 in Springfield. He was born March 23, 1938, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the son of Hubert and Lorene Dudley. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Don was a kind man who spent his working time as a carpet salesman and installing all types of flooring. He was an avid reader who enjoyed reading about history, ozark culture, and westerns.

In Aug. 1977 he married Dorine OÂ’Hara and they formed a lifelong partnership. Together, they were successful business partners in Oklahoma and Nixa.

Don enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of more than 37 years, Dorine Dudley.

Don is survived by two brothers, Gary Dudley of Perkins, Oklahoma and Richard Dudley and wife Connie of Commerce, Oklahoma; daughter Katrina Drake of Belton; daughter Kimberly Cheatum and husband Larry of Naples, Florida; daughter Stephanie Biswell and husband Joseph of Tacoma, Washington; daughter Sabrina Gordy of Raymore; step-daughter Susan Evans and husband David of Nixa; step-son Donovan O’Hara of Ponca City, Oklahoma; step-son Steve O’Hara and wife Phyllis of Stillwater, Oklahoma;  step-daughter Terri Pool and husband Rick of Del Ray Beach, Florida; step-son Michael O’Hara and wife LouAnn of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
