We had some one asked to be disfellowshipped …the elders didn’t want to but she was insistent…..so they did…but it seems now the elders are loathed to disfellowship anyone,,,they really try hard to get the person to take a break….

Does seem very strange when a person can, as i did, just resigned from the JW org. It would seem that a person is being asked to be 'punished' by the Edlers for some reason....  Does it not go against 'company policy' though for Elders to not disfellowship a non repentant sinner.

I dunno. I think this is more like my son-in-law not going to another house until he has cleaned out my fridge.

I think we tend to misinterpret Acts 20:20, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't preach from house to house. I'm only saying that this isn't what that specific verse is about. We tend to impose a meanin

This is not a slight to you but I use it to raise a new thought: Has anyone noticed how the media disparages anyone who does good research and brings the truth to others?  Wikipedia just writes

I bet you know all about that and judge all according to your own preferences........  maybe you have something in your closet - that is why you so easily talk about it and push the idea.....

I love this comment :) It shows the GB brainwashing / training in action. The Org is guilty so you blame every one else.

They were not interested in company policy…..they wanted to follow Christ’s lead and were interested in her life and well being and we’re aware of her mental health at the time…..by the way she wants to come back….

Our elders are now very very kind ….I’m sure there may be still some of the old kind…..three strikes and your out….but the society is trying to weed them out or retrain them…..

In all the congregations I've been in here in Southern England UK, I've noticed that the kind elders are dominated by the unkind ones. One congregation in Bristol seemed to be run by one Elder, his son and one other. The other Elders just seemed to give up on trying. In that congregation one Elder commited suicide by runnig a pipe from his car exhaust into his lounge and then sitting there drinking alcohol until he died. Soon after his wife married the son of the other prominent Elder.  Do i have proof, no, but local papers repoted the death so i supose it would be on record somehwere.

I think one of the major problems here is that people do not know the difference between what a heretic is, and an apostate.

Calling someone an “apostate” here so frequently about everybody that doesn’t think exactly like the person calling the other an apostate has become like a “yo mama” joke.

I've no idea what a 'yo mama' joke is, but I understand your meaning.

JWs seem to have two sayings here. 1. Apostate. 2. Hate OCD.

Apart from Tom that loves the word 'dodo'.

And of course Mr Carroll, who is still trying to convince himself that JWs are right, so uses many words, but says nothing of importance.

Since you're part of that team, when have you known the difference, since you want to eat your cake and have it too.

An insulting question deserves no answer.

An answer is a courtesy … and you deserve none.

You also presume things based on your warped imagination so as to exalt yourself by trying to denegrate others.

This is the theme that follows every post you make.
